The Coffee Shop in Forest of Dean

We were so looking forward to Lunch here having read such great reviews. Arriving with a very muddy dog we decided to sit outside. I went in to be greeted with Do you want a menu!! (Abruptly) Yes Please….I said…I will come and take your order I was told. So I went to sit with my partner and the dog. After 20mins waiting we decided the service wasn’t as expected so I returned the Menu and we left. Staff didn’t seem over busy lots of empty tables inside. Working in hospitality we find that customer service with a smile is paramount the excuse of Sorry we are busy isn’t good enough.

A wonderful family run coffee shop. We were staying in the local area and popped in for breakfast with our Springer. The atmosphere, staff and food were fantastic, we really could fault it. We had to go back on our last day to have a lovely filling breakfast and coffee before we headed home. 10/10 recommend.

Popped in on a very rainy day with the wet spaniel. They were very accommodating and brought us a bed and towel for the dog. The staff were all lovely and we had mac n cheese with bacon and a lovely big mug of tea. The menu was lovely and this is so much more than a coffee shop. The inside space was lovely and I would say definitely worth visiting 😎

What a lovely family cafe in the heart of the Forest of Dean, I now live close and go there often, I can recommend the paninis.

My husband, daughter and myself called for a bite to eat, we ordered sandwiches ( homemade coronation chicken on brown bread) with teas x hubby fancied a pint of beer, followed by slices of cake, it all delicious, we were told there was an American diner themed room upstairs which looked really good. Owner Tina and staff very welcoming, will definitely call back if we’re in the area.

Greeted by very friendly owner and superb service throughout. Really nice views to be had, with a choice of American Diner upstairs and traditional coffee shop downstairs. Really chilled vibe with nice background music. Cappucino was really good and the carrott cake was very tasty. We'll definitely be back and the beer garden to the front will be frequented in the summer!

My friend and I called in for breakfast before walking in the Forest. We both had the full English with a couple of minor alterations which they were very happy to accommodate (no egg for me and my friend wanted her beans in a ramekin). The breakfast was superb with great quality sausage and bacon. Nice people and lovely to see them so busy.

What a fantastic find, stopped for brunch which was delicious and value for money. Lovely ambience, staff very friendly and clean facilities. Had to return for coffee and cake at the end of a lovely autumnal walk. Dog friendly too 👍definitely be back 🌟

Warm welcome on arrival, quick, friendly service, tasty, well priced l, good quality food, lovely decor with a vintage feel to it. What's not to love? My first time visiting, but already planning the next visit! Really great cafe and staff all round!

What a find not far from Whitemead Forest Park. Food was very nice and portions plentiful. Dogs welcome on ground floor. Well worth a nice woodland walk to get to.

We camped for a long weekend and got the recommendation from the owner. We try to take recommendations whenever we can. Being told it was a mile walk down the path, we set off. It is a brilliant area all in all. Although the sheep seem to have right of way. Finally got to The Coffee Shop, it was a bit of a trek but well worth it. The venue is cute, clean and comfortable. Very popular on Saturday morning and ticked over on Monday. Saturday & Monday we were served quickly and with smiles from all directions. We had the full breakfast both days and it lasted us well into the day. Cooked to perfection for both of us with a good cup of tea as well included. Good price, good / friendly service in a clean and comfortable setting, what more could you ask for - well the facilities (toilets) were spotless with nothing to complain about. As I mentioned, we walked on Saturday so finding the way in was pretty straightforward. On Monday we drove, there is parking but it is a bit around the back. All in all, we highly recommend visiting them, well worth it.

Excellent cafe, staff, toilets and seating options. Also has a car park if you go by car. Food freshly made and good well filled sandwich and Panini's. Been here before so planned our walk to be there for lunch ... well worth it

We are planning to retire to the area and stop at The Coffee Shop at least once on each trip. Great breakfasts, lunch, cakes, coffee etc. Lovely inside decor and garden overlooking the forest village. Sheep are often outside!

Lovely food reasonably priced, lovely staff Free parking . Went in three times could not fault it

This is a really lovely little coffee shop. We were away for a few days and popped in for breakfast. It was absolutely gorgeous! Really good quality local produce, and cooked to perfection. Excellent value for money too. We will definitely be going back when we're back in Bream.

Lovely breakfast. The full English had enough on it and was a decent size. The coffee was really good too. Friendly staff and very quick service! Clean place with interesting decor. We are tourists passing through but would recommend.

A lovely cafe at the highest point in the village. Great coffee served in proper cups whether your inside or out. Super cakes as well as other grub all accompanied by smile and a treat for any canine companions that might be with you.

Lovely walk from the campsite along paths to the cafe. Very fresh straightforward food, chicken burger and nachos. Warm enough to sit outside under the covered area and admire the view. Local cider was really good. Perfect spot for an easy bite to eat. Super good value too.

Only stopped in for a drink but ended up having food, which exceeded all our expectations !! Excellent service by the staff and would definitely visit again if we are in the area

I live in Bream and this place is Ideal for a lovely light lunch or snack with full range of coffee, tea and drinks as well. Very happy friendly staff, just love the deco upstairs.
