Estamos explorando Nottingham hoy.

Stumbled on this place while exploring the city. The owners were lovely, very friendly and clearly knew a lot about coffee. There's so many choices, I describes the kinds of flavours I liked and they recommended me a blend which turned out to be delicious. We also tried the sandwiches which just hit the spot - the only improvement I could make would be to the bread as it seemed like the standard Hovis loaf so improving this to a nice artisan style etc. would make this perfect. Overall really enjoyable, I'll be back!

A fabulous little coffee house, offering a wide range of coffees from around the world, in a choice of 9 different forms from espresso through to typical flat white. Owned by a Brazilian couple, who recently purchased the business on ebay, a lot of pride in the café clearly shines in the décor, customer service and menu, which include a range of cakes, lunches and deserts, all at very affordable prices. I'm a big fan of coffee and can be very picky , I worked as a barista for two years so I know my stuff , I find a lot of the time with the mainstream coffee shops that depending on who is making your coffee pretty much decides weather it's good or awful and even though it's easy to get a decent coffee in Nottingham it's almost impossible to get a great one , the coffee house makes a great cup of coffee , it offers a wide range of coffee beans to choose from around the world , I wasn't sure as I was stuck for choice , the lady asked me how I like my coffee , I enjoy it strong but bitter and my sister who was with me likes hers mild / smooth , the lady suggested two different types of coffee to us and we agreed , the coffee was perfect , couldn't fault it , perfect amount of smooth froth on top of the cappachino (which is hard to do with soya milk ) , coffee exactly how I liked it and with the choice of sugar or sweetener , the coffee house is the place to go for a good cup of coffee :) we also had a fruit tea and a couple of tofu sandwiches which were also nice , they also do a lot of vegan cakes and other treats I plan to try at another time . But really this place is all about the coffee for me , my only regret is that the cups aren't massive ! Haha

Always keen to try somewhere new, this place looked so cool and eccentric we gave it a go. They reckon they’re serious about their coffee and it true enough it was pretty good too (not spectacular, but more than adequate). Also, I prefer my latte in a cup rather than those naff tall glass things but I’ll forgive it. The sandwiches are innovative and tasty but Warburton’s sliced bread? ….Please. There are lots of artisan bakeries about – could do better. All in all, a decent place for a spot of lunch if you’re not overly particular as regards your bread and drinking vessels.

If your not a coffee person they also have a great selection of teas. The first time I went they didn't have a sandwich menu and offered different things each day (so I was told by the man behind the counter), however, now they have a bigger selection, but the quality has not changed. All three of us had the £4.95 meal which consisted of Columbian Coffee, or pot of tea and a sandwich of your choice, with pickle and side salad. Like all treasures it can be hard to find and hidden away up Hurts Yard is one those gems worth finding. My friend who I was visiting from London had heard good reviews and I happy to say I wasn't disappointed. Small but perfectly formed. A great selection of coffee and cakes. The homely feel and friendly staff only add to the relaxed experience. On arrival we headed upstairs as my friend was about to head downstairs to order. A gentleman took our order and returned with the coffee and a young lady followed him with the cakes. This allowed us to take in the the vintage soundtrack and admire the guitar. Hidden away down an alley, it's a great independent coffee shop. Big choice of coffee and cake. Dairy-free and gluten-free catered for, and still really scrummy. It can get fairly busy, but it only seats 19 anyway. Really unique.

What a lovely little meeting place. Wide choice of coffee and tea. We really enjoyed ours. It was so quiet , hard to believe we were so close to Market Square. I had a piece of rhubarb cake which was so moist and divine. So much better than the coffee chains. Will definitely return.

This little coffee shop does exactly what needs to happen to survive against the larger coffee chains, it offers the best coffees and excellent service.

What a find this place is..a little haven tucked away down an inconspicuous alley, it is such a wonderful experience. Great décor and ambiance, but most of all the coffee is incredible. It is so good to go to a coffee shop that is all about the coffee, offering a variety of beans rather than the chains which offer no choice or sincerity. The staff are great too, particularly the lad who works on a Saturday, taking real care with every drink and offering guidance and information on the beans. My only criticism is when all the seats are taken! A must visit for true coffee lovers!

Cosy, welcoming and quiet. A real city centre gem. Great coffee, even better ambience. Will definitely be back to sample the great looking cakes.

Tucked away in Hurt's Yard, the Coffee House is pretty hard to find, but I was really glad I did. I think it's the only place of its kind in Nottingham - a tiny, shabby chic coffee house serving speciality blends from around the world. The proprietor really knows his stuff - if you don't know exactly what you want from the large selection, you can tell him the type of coffee you like, and he'll recommend one to you. They also do loose leaf tea of course.

Walking down and around Upper Parliament Street there are quite a few pubs, bars and restaurants, its a bit of a party area, if one bar sums up this area it's Parliament Bar . The bar itself is good,it's got eclectic decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar, its late, its lively and its very popular. Dropped into here on a Friday night, it was bouncing, decided to stay for one beer, got a bottle of beer, served chilled, we just soaked up the great vibe in this extremely popular bar. Beer served here was ok, iced cold and sparkling, on a hot night totally refreshing, while sipping our beers couldn't help but notice the age group, student age so I'm guessing it's a student bar ,must say I enjoyed the atmosphere here before we moved on and for a first time visit to Parliament Bar we had a great time. Parliament Bar is easy to locate along Upper Parliament Street, if you're in the area most definitely well worth checking out.
