Basilia in Nottingham

The lunch was excellent steak pie with sauteed potatoes and fresh veg we also had a baked potato with cheese and salad then purchased more items in the deli. Lovely staff and establishment will visit again.

Was my first time at Basilia and WOW!!! Everything is wonderful! The tea, the food, the service, the ambiance.... its just beautiful and delicious and all the good yummy vibes. You have to check them out! Can't wait to go back!!!

Oh and oatcake as well! Must be a Stokie! TheyThave special theme nights, Greek, Italian etc. Good Deli as well 😋

Excellent service, staff very courteous, good was of excellent quality and piping hot. Very good atmosphere, very clean. Toilets were of a very high standard. Decorated nicely and very clean.

Have been a few times for the theme nights and afternoon tea, but had our first breakfast/brunch visit today. Loved it! Very tasty as always 😊😋

We had the hot afternoon tea which was delicious - no sandwiches thankfully but chunky chips with fish gouging, tasty cheesey quiche and of course delicious cakes and scones. The only downside was the decaf coffee which was tasteless and luke warm. I have visited other times and cakes always good but not so the coffee which they charge 50p extra for decaf which I have never been asked to pay in any other cafe

My first visit. Was well impressed I had a ploughman's lunch. I had to bring some home as I didn't want to waste it.

Visited Basilia today with friends. Couldn't fault it. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Staff and building appeared clean and presentable. Food was 5 star. Well worth a visit and will deffinately go again!

This breakfast was fantastic. My husband travels with work and he has breakfast all over the UK and this was one of the best he has had. Great value for money. Basilia is fabulous for breakfast, lunches and cakes and evening events. A lovely business ran by dedicated and friendly staff x

Treated my friend to birthday breakfast. Staff so accommodating of my dietary requirements (celiac and vegetarian). And was made to feel included, which was such a nice feeling. Fantastic breakfast, coffee and service in general. Will certainly be back once they are open again.

A lovely little cafe with a nice atmosphere. The staff are friendly, the food well cooked and very tasty. I can highly recommend the Basil Benedict which is a real treat.

Ordered a takeaway afternoon tea for my parents for their anniversary, rang up to order lady was very polite collected it Saturday it was absolutely fab,having previously had one for ourselves I knew it was good,lovely choice of sandwiches,cakes,sausage rolls,salad crisps ect presented beautifully would highly recommend & will definitely be having one again

Hi we were the two ambulance guys that called in literally on the off chance as we had just dropped a patient off on dean street we thought we would try you guys out and the service was first class really polite and friendly the food we ordered was spot on loved every bite and the pork pie and quiche were truly delicious the cheese in the quiche wow best I’ve ever eaten definitely be calling again next time we over this area

Came here with my partner the other afternoon for some quick lunch. I thought we would go out for a treat. I've been a few times over the past year or two, and all my previous visits have been brilliant, good friendly staff before and were really welcoming. This time not so much, when we were seated and order was being taken staff seemed a bit snappy and didn't seem very chatty, when paying it felt like we were being forced out more than anything, recipt was literally thrown at us. Food was also over cooked and a bit burned, probably won't go again.

Just had the best breaks fast of my life in this wonderful setting. The food was incredible, the service was wonderful and it was a lovely local community atmosphere.

Went to Basilia today for a celebration afternoon tea. It was wonderful. Beautifully presented, lovely sandwiches and cake. All you could ask for in an afternoon tea. The service was second to none. I would thoroughly recommend Cathy and her staff. I have been to Basilia on a number of occasions for lunch, brunch and breakfasts. The food and service has been wonderful on each occasion.

We came for the themed night, Italian tapas, it was sensational, as the food and atmosphere and customer service always is here!!

Brilliant little deli on front and restaurant/ garden area out back. This was the Basilia special of poached egg, black pudding and bacon with hollandaise sauce on toasted muffin. It was a tenner, but very tasty. Just a really nice, quality place.

I've been to Basilia many times and always found the food to be good and adequate But the afternoon teas are of poor quality and quantity. The sandwiches hardly had any filling in them. Having a onion and cream allergy which I said at time of booking. Semt to be overlooked with a sandwich with sage and onion stuffing in. Which a member of staff did ask if everything was OK and I informed her of this and she laughed and walked off. The cake was poor standard a fruit cake that was very dry and no taste also another sponge cake with no taste at all of which we didn't eat either. A very small scone and a rice crispy cake. Come on Basilia You have lovely cakes in the window so why don't you ask which piece would the customer like on the afternoon tea, like other places do Instead of the tasteless rubbish. Certainly won't be returning or recommending the afternoon teas to anyone.

We went here for an 80th birthday. The food was excellent and the vegan option was incredible! The garden area is lovely, nice highchairs and clean baby change facilities. Would highly recommend.

I love this place! It truly is a local gem, I sometimes come here for a breakfast cob which is the best I think I've ever had, and a reasonable price too! However they also do excellent pies, cheeses, sweets amongst many other things. Myself and my family went yesterday for their Sunday 3 course dinner which was faultless, and Roy, Kathy and team are always working so hard and the most polite people you could hope to meet. 10/10, highly recommended!

Once again a big group booking at Basilia. 16 of us all served at the same time. All food hot and delicious. Drinks were lovely. Staff very welcoming and venue perfect. Cafés don't come much better than this.

I have been to Basilia lots of times but have started to go there now with groups of friends as the venue is so perfect for a get together. Today we had a bit of a school reunion and were very noisy, exited women! But that was no problem to them at all and they gave us a private room. Food is excellent but more important the warm welcome is exceptional. Kathy and her team work so hard and have achieved a very successful café (which is more than a café actually) There's a lovely delicatessen too. We will be back! Thank you to everyone.

We really enjoyed our lunch at Basilia. We were made to feel very welcome, only having booked at five minutes notice.

One of the best breakfast that I had in UK, seriously, they are amazing. From outside the restaurant/shop doesn't look much, but once you pass their door, you will be surprised by a counter full of amazing products, some of them local. The restaurant go all the way to the back and they also have a beautiful garden. The food is all good quality, nicely prepared and delicious. I recommend trying any of the local products that they sell. They are delicious. I do recommend them!

A superb place to have breakfast and we will definitely come again, no point messing around with chains when you have this superb independent deli on your doorstep. The breakfast was lovely, the court yard was charming and we stocked up on lots of goodies to take home.

At Basilia the breakfast this morning and every morning is good it is eaten in a convivial place the owners and staff are always pleasent and nothing is to much trouble. Today I had a ham cheese and mango chutney panini the staff are helpful I don't eat salad so they give me fruit and crisps nothing is to much trouble for them nothing has changed if anything it has got better

I visited this morning with my mum for a nice little treat. All I can say is I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this little hidden gem. We had a cappuccino each along with a ploughman's lunch for my mum and a pastrami, emental, mustard and gherkin sandwich on granary bread. The coffees are fabulous and of great quality and then the food... wow.. the ploughman's came out first, straight away it just look fantastic and my mum said all the food on it tasted incredible especially the black bomber cheddar. My sandwich was one of the best I've had, everything tasted so fresh and was made to perfection. I would definitely recommend a visit here.

Fantastic lunch with the hubby,we had the salad platters which were lovely ,lots of different home made salads with top quality ham .Service and staff was great nothing too much trouble .They have a fantastic range of cakes which we took home to have later

Not been to Brasilia since before lockdown and since lockdown ended not had chance - we went other day and boy were we reminded of why we used to go regularly lovely little place friendly staff and the food is exceptional and very reasonable price there were lots on menu plus 4 quice on offer wife had cheese i had mushroom they were superb lovely salad and we ordered the saute potatoes superb 11 out of 10 - we put dates in diary to visit regular again Brasilia really is a gem try a visit you will not be dissapointed see you very soon Brasilia cannot wait

Wow!!! My visit today was exceptional. I felt very welcomed and looked after. I had the cauliflower and smoked cheese soup. It was delicious. We had table service and the coffee was very good. I live an hour away but I will be visiting again...

Called in while on a walk in the area. Staff pleasant and helpful. Good cafe with fresh tasty produce and coffee! Busy when we went. We had to sit outside in the garden area. Tables here were sheltered and under cover. Service was nevertheless prompt pleasant and helpful. Front of house also a deli albeit of limited range. Had cheese ( I succumbed to a portion of soft goats cheese), cooked meats, breads, cakes. Altogether a good find.

Lovely place to come for a relax and a nice dinner, yes it’s a little more expensive, but fresh food and good coffee with lovely staff who go out there way to help you is a plus. I also love the windmill in the outside area.
