They had a lovely little waitress years ago..all change now so we don't go anymore.I think she was called Deirdre, very friendly, the guy going the cooking was a bit miserable, we used to go a lot for breakfast ( was a good breakie) Steve Window Services 🪟 Torquay

DO NOT listen to David Lloyd's comment. Perhaps he is better suited in some pretentious establishment who charge a fiver for smashed avocado? The Coffee Bean café has been consistently good for years years!!! Lovely staff, fast service and tasty, homely food. As for cold tea, I can honestly say when we last went, the chat around the table was about how they get it so hot!!!!

My new favourite cafe in Torquay. Breakfast is excellent and good value. Friendly proprietor, definitely worth a visit!

Excellent cafe, been going here for years whilst working with colleagues or with the wife on the weekend if walking nearby can't fault it at all, big breaky with beans and tea 👌

The best cafe in torquay with great food reasonable prices and friendly staff... They have a great outdoor garden/smoking area which u can also eat outside. They cook food how you want it cooked and its done quite quickly. I will recommend and will definitely be coming back here soon.

I think they were just about to close for the day, but welcomed us in anyway, 1 big breakfast, a big veggie breakfast, jacket potato & beans and a cheese & tuna sandwich it was all nice especially with fried bread on the breakfast as not many places seem to do that anymore.👍😁

Having previously worked with the co-owner of this cafe, this may seem a very biased review. The breakfast was great, well cooked and presented, reasonably priced and the owner gives great hugs. Hope to see you both soon.

Friendly and welcoming old school cafe. Dogs allowed 🐶 unfortunately the young girl working there made a terrible cuppa and sausages were not nice. Very expensive too.

Lovely little cafe. We had an all day breakfast and it was lovely, also great bacon! The only thing I felt could be better is that it felt cold in there , but with the country as it is today I understand. Definatly recommend the coffee bean though

Visiting the area stumbled across this little place. Most tables full we managed to get a seat by the till. Street parking nearby, allowing an hour which was enough for us. Menu is classic cafe, with breakfasts, sandwiches and jacket potato's. Delicious jacket potato was just what we needed. Staff pleasant enough, and lots to look at with quirky quotes about the place.

Great little cafe in Babbacombe, serves a variety of snacks and meals, sandwiches and salads were particularly good, fresh and well filled, no complaints at all in this family run establishment, good service too and covid aware, well recommended and will return.

Impressive portions - the big breakfast was also the best breakfast I've had this year. The staff were friendly and there's a coffee machine. I stopped at the cafe while hiking and was so pleased I did. There's a lovely seating area out the back and the whole cafe was compliant with covid guidelines too.

I would highly recommend this place as the food is lovely and staff are very welcoming.

One of the best roast dinners around and I’ve eaten a few in my time,always piping hot, choice of meats and a lovely selection of vegetables & at a price that is hard to beat,if you actually have room after eating this roast there is the best apple pie & Custard/Ice Cream.....Delicious

We go there often always look after us and my Dad well when we are in Torquay. Food very good always hot and they do a lovely roast dinner and all day breakfast which is very popular. Highly recommended

This is a great little gem that the locals all know about but not the tourists! It is nice inside and Dot and Kit who run the place are brilliant. The food is good and reasonably priced and you are assured of a good welcome.

Had a breakfast here,will not return not tasty at all, unless you like your food to taste of dirty cooking oil,the place also needs money spending on it. I don’t like to sit on imitation leather high backed chairs worn and torn so bad you can see the inside.

I have been coming here on and off for the best part of twenty years and can honestly say I have never had a bad meal or service, personally I always wonder whether the people posting really poor reviews actually have another agenda ... who knows. it's a café and a good one at that, the food is always good , the service prompt and friendly and the prices very reasonable, what's not to like

Been a favourite place for breakfast in Torquay for a while for the food. Had a bit of a make over recently and now the place looks fantastic as well. Real cosy atmosphere and friendly staff.

We arrived in babbacome on a wet august morning 7.30am after traavelling throught the night with 2 young children. We needed to be fed and watered. The food was average

Went here for a quick lunch with my family. No frills but clean and friendly and food good and not too expensive. Good value kids snacks at £3.

Went for breakfast, unfortunately like some many cafes in Torbay, they think its acceptable to offer poor quality foods. Awful sausages, I guess bought frozen in bulk which taste nasty. Poor coffee, instant! Not much to say really, one to miss...and its easdy to give it a miss as its the cafe with a large plastic man outside.

Visited here last weekend. DH had the full English and I had scrambled eggs on toast. Hot, tasty and prompt! Friendly service too - what's not to like?

Always good at the coffee bean. I normally go for breakfast which is top drawer and not greasy,but have also tried many other items off the menu which are also great. The owners kit and Dot are fantastic and this place is well worth a visit.

Went here a couple of times for breakfast when staying at a local hotel as the hotel's breakfast times were ridiculously early. Food cooked while you wait and very hot as you would expect.Coffee pretty good so no complaints. Would visit again.

Customer service was shocking, really rude staff. The food was cold when served and greasy. Did not enjoy it at all and will not be returning again! Would not recommend to anyone, The Babbacome Bay Café on the Babbacombe Downs was much more delightful and the food/drinks were lovely! :)
