The food here is excellent, good portions and excellent value for money. NOT like Rock and Malt around the corner, where the food is disgusting and over priced, the new owners are very rude. Whereas, the staff (owner) of The Codfather are so nice and friendly and are open all day. Great selection of delicious food. I highly recommend this wonderfull place to eat.

While ordering noticed the fish cake were soggy but I was absolutely hungry so still ordered them. Chips looked as though they have been hanging around for awhile as they were stuck together. Once in the car the smell coming out of the wrapped food was a bit off putting. I stopped the car at the car park round the corner to have my meal. There was no taste to the food. It was evident that the owners had. I clue of quality or service. Once my hunger was abated I threw what was left in the bin of the car park. Was considering phoning them up but decided against it as I believe they would not have cared. Have to mention the owner who handled my fish cakes with his hand. Won’t be going back there again.

We walked a mile to eat here based on previous reviews. I wouldn’t bother again. My pie was all pastry with very little filling, chips were either frozen or had been sitting there most of the day- crunchy and no potato inside. I threw most of it away. Won’t be back 🤮

I love this chip shop. We have curry and chips and a pickled egg or sometimes cod or a Clarksy. You can sit in with a nice cup of tea or takeaway. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and good portion sizes always.

Must use the smallest plates in Cardiff. Portions to small! The food is not presented well as there is lack of room on the plates. The food is therefore piled up on top of each other. Staff need to be more welcoming and polite!

Nice little chip shop. Generous portions. Plenty of room to sit down inside and never felt rushed when eating in. it's very clean and a nice place to sit and enjoy a cheap meal.

Pretty standard pub. Prices are amazing!! Went w my friends and the place was very busy. It was quite hard to get seats but overall it was a good experience. The only issue was the portioning of food,I think it could've been slightly better. Plus the service time was quite slow but it was understandable because of how busy it was! The drinks however were amazing!! Definitely will come again :)

We had breakfast at the John Lewis Cardiff café on 12th August, and unfortunately, it was the worst breakfast experience we’ve ever had at a John Lewis store. The bacon was rock hard, and both the hash brown and sausage tasted as though they had been reheated rather than freshly cooked. The only fresh items were the egg and the bread. What was particularly disappointing was that we ended up going to another restaurant afterward to get another breakfast, as the quality here was simply not up to the standard I expected from John Lewis. I would not recommend having breakfast here, and we certainly won’t be returning. I expected a lot better.

Surprised at the previous poor reviews we found it warm and pleasant with very friendly staff and quick service, Sizzling chicken and chips and sirloin steak with beef dripping gravy and curly fries were very good, followed by Cadburys style sundae.

Had to find my own menu as none on table. Ordered food and drink took nearly 10 mins to pay as card machine faulty. After waiting 30 mins ( pub not busy )our food arrived and only at this point was told to help ourselves to cutlery and sauces around the corner.I was shocked at both the poor quality and tiny size of the serviettes and had to use 8 for 2 of us. My mother's pie was overcooked and quite dry . I had the meal with a small steak, 5 chicken wings and double cheeseburger , corn on cob and fries .The skillet that the wings and steak was on was not sizzling and I could hold the skillet for 4 or 5 seconds . Whilst I left full I was really disappointed and the burger was bland even adding my own salt which I have never had to do before . Some tables had wet marks from glasses and had not been wiped over . I would not revisit the Three Elms Whitchurch due to my experience and the pub was not even busy .
