far too many chips for one personsomostly wasted. everything else was ok

Very nice, tasty, hot food. Only down side- the chips as part of the meal deal was forgotten. Otherwise very good.

Standard fish and chips from here is great if that’s all you order. But won’t get 4 or 5 star because of the rip-off that is the cod bites which we’ve often got for the kids. All batter, barely any fish for same price 🤷‍♂️. Will not order again.

First time we tried this place and were very disappointed. It tasted like it had been sitting around for a while. The chips were plentiful but very dry and not pleasant to eat. We have fish and chips regularly so we have plenty of other places to compare with and I’m afraid this fell very short in comparison.

I never received my food. I Was told it was delivery and then told to collect. I paid but never collected as I wanted a delivery !!!!

Watched the driver on the map go in the opposite direction to my house Then go all the way back past the restaurant my food was picked up from 10 minutes later. Unfortunately for the restaurant this likely impacted the quality of the food, fish was actually nice and white and tasted good once heated up but the chips didn’t travel well at all, however the restaurant probably wasn’t expecting them to go on a tour round Ilford

The chips were fresh and hot ,the fish was good quality, better than high tide fish and chip🍟 further down Barkingside High Street and they have been there for over 46 years. The man who served me was polite and friendly

Too many of the chips were very undercooked at the same time also many were very hard and dry. Fish was nice

How can you call yourself a fish and chip place when you forget the chips absolutely disgraceful.should be ashamed of yourself

Firstly, the cod came soggy and didn’t taste nice, secondly, the wings are awfully baaad! It tastes terrible, I believe it’s pre-made so it’s just been heated up. Lastly I bought 3 tar tar sauce which are expired. First and last order, unfortunately.

Restaurant called after delivery and said we sent no chips as potatoes was bad. I said so what good is the fish without the chips the Restaurant told me to go on app for full refund

Amazing fish and chips. I have had the cod, masala cod, cod bites and masala cod bites, haddock and they are all cooked to perfection! The chips are also the best I have had in the area. They cooked so well crispy/crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Cant recommend this place enough! I go here every week

I don't really do reviews tbh but this place is so good that I just had to tell everyone. Fish is excellent and so are the chips cooked in palm oil making them nice and crispy. I go here weekly to get my fish n chips

Fantastic local chippy. I go there everytime. It's a small hole in the wall type of place but the fish and chips are amazing. I love the way they cook the chips... I have been to other chippys in the area before but now I go this one time and time again because the food is excellent

I usually get my cod and chips from here. Fish and chips is and has always been great.. the masala cod bites that I tried once were devine!!! service is equally good. Wouldn't go anywhere else for fish and chips! Disappointed to see some negative reviews posted because I would definitely recommend this place!!!

Always get my fish and chips from here... There's usually a long line coming out of the shop on a Friday evening but always been served with a smile and the star is the fish! The cod and haddock are both cooked to perfection and they dont rush it.. they do things properly. It may be just a "fish and chips" but its a fab fish and chips. Small side note I like the chip butty too!

Fantastic every time I have been with great taste and great service. Food is always cooked to order and so is very fresh and hot. Chips are great and the portions are generous.

Chips were refried and completely rock solid and crunchy. Tasted old and stale.

The chips were like from the day before.

Ordered the Masala Fish bites and Chips. Masala fish bites batter was poor, chips were stale and not fresh. Very disappointed. Won't be buying anything from here again!

The chips were very hard to eat. Clearly seemed they had been refried. Which is a shame as the fish was really nice.

Ordered pie and chips with curry sauce, it was so good!

Gave completely raw chips, I think the closest they ever got to oil was being put next to the oil to be wrapped up, not even an airfryer could save them... avoid, avoid, avoid

Very well made food. Cod were slightly disappointing as the size were different in both. Give me a choice to order large or medium. But everything was beautiful cod was nice and crispy and golden brown even the pie was really tasty

Don't order from here! Chips were days old no salt or vinegar. Fish portion was tiny with no flavour and the curry sauce was a curry soup, so watery. Just dreadful! Waste of £30!!!

disgusting. Gave me old overcooked chips and the cod was bland and undercooked it was soggy with oil and nasty. Will never order from here again. Flavourless and nasty. Paid £18 on Uber eats for cod and chips , definitely better spots locally for that price and actually worth it. Don’t other.

Absolutely disgusting, gave us old stale chips, they was not fresh even the children noticed never go there, I wouldn’t even give it one star.

Food is nice, however the haloumi was too salty. No option to add salt or vinegar. Also I asked for Pepsi and got Coke.

We generally have only 1 gent front of house who is always serving up the food here. Very friendly and cooked the fish and chips perfectly. The interior is enough to seat 2 people max I think so don't plan to eat your dinner in here. I ordered the masala cod bites and they were delicious. I'd definitely recommend this place if it didn't have cross contamination with the sausages and other items. If you are strict with your dietary requirements then this might be one to avoid until they Addess this. What I did eat however was lovely. They also don't cheap out with the sauces. Often giving you as much as you want and they've got all the branded stuff.

Curry sauce was cold and they forgot to deliver the rolls. Chips were fresh but they forgot to put salt and vinegar!

First time ordering, cod bites were lovely, just the right portion of chips, crunchy ones and soft ones. First time eating mushy peas and even that was pleasant. Will be ordering again .
