One of my favourite restaurants! So delicious.

Our first visit to the restaurant....called in for lunch with our little dog Bruce during a trip to Cowes. We had a lovely lunch in a great lunchtime atmosphere.... the food was delicious (we had whitebait, caesar salad and pizza) and the service spot on....we were happy to leave a tip for a great island experience....10/10

Great restaurant in Cowes - kitchen doesn’t close until 10pm on some nights which is really useful for when you’re coming over on the ferry.

Absolutely phenomenal food! Simply delicious! Personal opinion, it would have been a 5⭐️ review but as the venue is “dog friendly”, people have to put up with dogs around while you eat. Big negative for me. Unhygienic and not what everyone is comfortable with. Especially in such a small room.

Visited for lunch on a day trip to Cowes. Its hidden gem, one of the few restaurants you must visit while visiting IOW. This was our second visit, but definitely not the last. Full of character, great atmosphere, buzzing. They were really busy, and because we didn't book table beforehand, we waited around 10 min for them to get one ready for us, but it was worth it. The food was incredible as always, with plenty of options. The stuff was great, very attentive. We'll be back.

Had a lovely meal at the Coast bar, we had mussels which were delicious and steak which was also great! Cooked to a perfect medium rare, only problem was I hate garlic and made the stupid mistake of not asking for the garlic butter to be left off. But I ate it anyway as punishment for being so stupid. Service was great and we thought that the prices for such a nice restaurant where very reasonable, even the drink prices were great, would definitely recommend.

Last min trip to Cowes for lunch and came across this lovely place by chance. Excellent food, great service, good atmosphere and full on a Monday lunchtime says it all.

Excellent ... great scoff and service! If you want to have the perfect Seafood Linguine come here. Shame the football result we were checking wasn't as good it didn't spoil a very special lunch!

Me, my wife and kids had found this place on Google, luckily they're serving during noon time as well. Food was amazing, brilliant service,the place itself is nicely decorated, I can only give 10 out 10!!!!

From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with quick and friendly service that made us feel right at home. For starters, we indulged in the delightful fritto misto and olives, which set a high standard for the evening. The main courses were nothing short of spectacular: the chicken supreme I ordered was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, while my friend’s burger was equally impressive. To finish, the desserts - Tiramisu for me and a Brownie for my friend - were the cherry on top of a truly memorable meal. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We look forward to visiting The Coast Bar & Dining Room again!

We had a lovely visit to The Coast for my birthday lunch, the atmosphere and team were brilliant, it is super dog friendly and our dog was very spoilt, we had burgers which were delicious and after seeing the pizzas being served to other tables we will definitely be trying a pizza on our next visit to Cowes. Great food, but tables are a bit close together.

We had the loveliest Christmas Eve meal with the friendliest welcome and attentive wait staff. The food was yummy - we had the roast vegetable starter to share and a couple of the wood fired pizzas. Our dog was well looked after with a blanket, water and treats, and the atmosphere was warm and jovial. Thanks for a gorgeous evening!

What a find, the staff are brilliant, great food and cocktails, on a comfy sofa with a roaring fire, a cosy winter refuge.

Love this place! Professional and friendly service. Had the wild mushrooms on toast with poached egg as a brunchie snack. It was so delicious I had to stop myself from licking the plate!

Good food but £5 for a bowl of fries was a bit much, one of our party had a vegan burger - very small and not value for money. £11 for a large glass of Malbec… I don’t think I’ve paid that in London restaurants! However, food as good quality and good service….

We ordered Cote De Boeuf between my husband and I and my bestie ordered the filet. All cooked to perfection and rested well. The tart suction was divine. The service was excellent and swift, the ambience also great. We ordered the bottle of house red, which was pretty decent. Totally recommend this restaurant.

Always very welcoming whether coming as a couple, a big group or with children.

The clue is in the title, this is place that delivers on several fronts. Whether you're looking for brunch, lunch or dinner The Coast is a fantastic choice. Join them at any time during the day and your tastebuds will be delighted by the dishes available. Not that you have to eat. The bar space is a great place to stop for refreshment at any point during the day. The bar staff know how to serve a cracking cocktail too! The bar and dining room has a warm, chilled out vibe - think bare bricks and wooden floors - even when it's buzzy busy. A visit is made all the more enjoyable by super friendly front of house staff and a manager who knows how to keep customers coming back for more! It's a top spot in Cowes and not to be missed!

Only stopped by for a coffee, which was OK.

Had the best Sunday dinner ever; lovely ambiance, great roaring fire and an exceptional team who made us feel most welcome. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Pleasant experience when I came over on a rainy day

Ate at The Coast at the end of a day on the IoW. I loved it, mainly because it's primarily a fish restaurant. I chose the chowder, which was unlike any chowder I've had before. It was more like a bouillabaisse. The distinguishing feature (in common with the dishes that all my five friends had) was that there were mountains of seafood in the dish. If you go (and I recommend that you do, if you like fish), go hungry!

Always try and come here when on the island. Never disappointed.

Outstanding food, every time we visit the island our first stop is The Coast. Sunday roast is amazing and the full English breakfast is wonderful. Can't wait for our next trip.

Lovely meal and service on a Sunday, was a late booking but they accommodated us easily.

A dozen of us had a very good Sunday lunch. Food was excellent and the service was particularly good. The young staff were polite and attentive.

Fantastic place for a casual meal or special occasion. Their specials are always fantastic. It's not over priced considering it's location and the quality of the food. Their pizzas are done in a proper pizza oven which our youngest loves.

Coast always has a great atmosphere. The food is generally good and Zits one of the highlights of Cowes. Go if in the area.

First time on IOW and looking for a nice place for anniversary meal - that caters for GF... on a warm night with doors open and tea lights twinkling, it was bustling. Menu filled with fresh meat & seafood options looked good, and didn't disappoint! Staff were so lovely and knowledgeable about my allergy, and both meals were amazing (I had moules frites and choc brownie, hubby had whole fish of the day and stickytoffee pud). Would definitely recommend, and would visit the island again to return here (must try the scallops next!)

Had a fabulous Anniversary evening, all the staff were lovely, nothing to much trouble and really kind ,aand the lovely welcome we got was amazing, I wish I got his name. The food and wine was delicious . I highly recommend it.

First visit. Very nice, service was very good, food was lovely. Will eat here again. Must be a very popular venue. Midweek in October, the restaurant was heaving.. always a good sign.

Everything was exceptional from start to finish. The actual dining room is a wonderful room. Small but not crowded. We were sat by the window so we got to people watch as well. We shared the wood fired chorizo and it was a perfect starter. I had the 8oz sirloin and I would put it with one of the best steaks I’ve had, especially for £25! My girlfriend had the fillet steak on the specials and was as equally pleased. The tart au citron was delicious. Right balance of lemon and creaminess. The salted caramel ice cream and the espresso ice cream were equally tasty. The staff were great as well. Always on hand and friendly. Our bill came to less than £100 which for the food we had was a bargain!! Only tiny criticism, apart from the delicious ice cream, there were no gluten free puddings. Luckily my girlfriend LOVES ice cream.

We eat at this restaurant every time we visit the IoW and are never disappointed. A good varied menu with something to suit everyone with wood fired pizzas, grills and seafood. Very friendly and efficient team.

Great evening in The Coast last night. Very busy and on booking table went on waiting list. New manager managed to allocate us a table. Very attentive to our needs and was welcoming and friendly to all guests. He will do very well! Staff were happy, bought in and were hyper efficient. Food was quite simply out of this world. Starters were beautiful and mains exceptional. One of us had the crab, the other the seafood linguine and other the chicken supreme. All of them were frankly exceptional. Wine list extensive and the deserts especially the banoffee waffle and profiterole was delicious. Couldn’t fault the experience - well done to the whole Team. Had a friend over from London last minute and wanted to treat her. So pleased we got a table. This restaurant never lets you down. Top drawer, thank you!!

I was over on the island with some friends for a cycling weekend. Had dinner in here on a busy Friday night. Cannot speak highly enough of the food, service and atmosphere. Thoroughly recommended. It was a superb end to a great day

Based on other reviews, I was expecting a lot more. We ordered some water and then proceeded to order our drinks & food around 10 mins later (water didn't show up until we asked a second time). When the drinks arrived, the guy (through no fault of his own) dropped the tray of drinks onto my wife's foot, but they were replaced so no real concern. We did however ask to move inside as we were sat on such a slope. We moved inside and our food arrived around 45 minutes to an hour after we originally ordered. As you can imagine, we were starving and our kids were exhausted. My wife's chicken supreme was absolutely lovely and the kids pizza was really tasty. My burger, however, was shocking. The saddest plate Ive ever seen. Literally burger and fries. No side garnish, nothing. The fries were tasteless and the burger was also tasteless and dry. I had to complain to the manager as I was so surprised at how rubbish it was. I had very little in return for the awful evening and meal other than a discount to my drink! Needless to say, we won't be returning. Wish we had tried the Italian across the way.

We always book Coast when we come to the Island, especially for their fantastic Sunday lunch and crème brûlée - although we were disappointed to hear that they have stopped Sunday roasts and my favourite crème brûlée, the table we were shown to, upstairs by an open window (great with the oppressive heat) and the lovely waitress more than made up for it. We chose a chicken dish with a mushroom sauce which was delicious, as was the tiramisu & the sticky toffee pudding - all washed down with a god Pino Grigio. We will soon return!

We stopped for a quick break on our motorbike ride, so we had just a few drinks (no food). All staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was great. I heard from my friends that food is nice as well.

We received a voucher as a work gift to my husband for the coast bar. We have eaten here several times before, so this was a bonus treat. As always, the service and food were excellent. We had a lovely table, and the staff were very attentive without bothering us too much. Delicious food, olives, mushrooms on toast, dress crab, duck, tiramasu, and banoffee were washed down with the house white recommend. A truly lovely evening.

Used to be good but Caesar salad with half the ingredients missing? Not again! Other places nearby that are better.

We came here for an evening meal and found this to be the best restaurant in Cowes. A great welcome from the staff, good quality food and big portions. As vegetarians we also had a wide range to choose from. Tip: this restaurant gets really busy (which is a good sign) so try and book a table in advance

Friendly, welcoming, and attentive service, good food, reasonably priced. The croquettes were awesome, the crab fresh and tasty, and so were the linguine (desserts were OK, but I thought not as good as the rest). Right in the middle of town, we dined outside on a wobbly table, and it was a great Friday night dinner.

I highly recommend this restaurant, the service was exceptional and the food was fantastic and had a great atmosphere. I will certainly be returning from the main land for a meal again very soon! It’s worth the crossing just to dine here.

We had a very pleasant lunch at the Coast Bar & Dining Room. My panko brie and fig dip was a huge wedge - shared it with my wife - followed by one of the best pepperoni pizzas I've ever had, and my wife had a generous serving of chicken Caesar salad. Bill wasn't as big as expected, either.

My first time here as a solo diner. Great food and great service. Made to feel very welcome here. Usually solo diners get left and often forgotten about but not here. Would return and recommend for all party sizes.

Our group of 4 dined outside in the evening on a lovely sunny day. Ordered the panko coated brie that we shared as a starter. 2 of us had the Moules with cream sauce and frites. OMFG so delicious we couldn't believe how gorgeous the mussels were, but the sauce was to die for. The guys had the burger and the duck pizza which they both enjoyed but when they tasted our mussels, the envy was apparent. 5 stars but would give 10!

We came here last fall for a meal while visiting Cowes and they were able to accommodate us without a reservation on a busy Saturday night. The dishes, the atmosphere, and the service are great here. It is easily one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in the UK.

During my trip to the Isle of Wight, the Coast was by far the best place I visited. The first visit consisted of starters and drinks - the pitta and hummus, and focaccia and tapenade were fantastic. We visited again to have a seated meal - its do popular we were only able to get a table at 20:30 - the rest of Cowes meanwhile was empty! The meal was superb - all starters were delicious - especially the mushrooms on toast, chicken parfait and breaded brie. For main - the seafood linguine was packed with a generous amount of seafood and amazing sauce, the Caesar salad was decadent with the chicken breast and the pepperoni pizza was tasty (albeit a bit salty). The truffle fries were to die for! To finish, the tiramisu was delicious! All in all, a fab place to visit with a good atmosphere and great food. Price was reasonable for what we had.

I had high hopes but our experience was just average. Our server was trying so hard but it was clear she was new and had not had the proper training (she had evidently never opened a corked bottle of wine). I have food allergies and there was little they could accommodate and gluten free options were minimal. Best thing was that they accommodate well behaved dogs. However a shame they don't keep a check on not so well behaved owners!

The staff were very nice, helpful & friendly- the food was good with a variety of choice for adults & children. However as a family with young children we were disappointed to be seated by the windows which were fully open and folded back exposing...

Great food and place to eat in West Cowes. Excellent selection of food and drink choices.

We were very impressed with this resturant. The food was very good, the servers were very attentive and a great atmosphere. A special mention about the pitta bread it was amazing as were the pizza's.

Busy evening at Coast during Cowes week, food and service excellent as normal.

Seating arrangements were a bit problematic, everything else was nice - I’d go there again!

To start off we did not book as we was walking around the town in search for a place to eat when we stumbled upon this hidden gem. They offered us a table on the condition that we had to be out in 1h15 as it was booked by someone. The food was incredible and the staff were fast and attentive. The prices were quite reasonable and the restrooms were well kept. The only downsides is that there is no parking for free nearby and that they did rush us towards the end to finish. I would return however I would book in the future.

What a fantasic place! We were staying in Cowes for a short break and decided to try The Coast - we hadn't booked and we were offered a table outside, which we took. sadly it started raining, but we were quickly given an indoor table....

Lovely service. Incredible food!!! The moules were the best we’ve ever had including France many times! Pizza fab, caters for everyone and really reasonable prices for the huge portions and incredible quality of food!

Absolutely love this place in the beautiful town of West Cowes. Wonderful waiting staff- theyre all super friendly and with great humour. The food is excellent. The seafood linguine is heaven, the lobster bisque is very tasty. We tried the whole lobster the 2nd time and it was fab! It's dog friendly which is crucial for me, and such a joy to be in a lively and atmospheric place where they are geuninely kind and welcoming to dogs. We were on the ground floor the first time and highly recommend specifying ground floor when booking; and we got a table outside the 2nd time- also brilliant and cosy. Thank you Team Coast- you all rock!
