The Coach House in East Lindsey

We have eaten at this pub before but it was our first time for Sunday lunch. We will definitely be returning, Food was great good portions piping hot and tasty. Nothing was too much trouble. Thoroughly en joyed the afternoon.

Very nice setting! However food and service average! We expected better quality food, especially given price.won't be returning!

We’ve visited The Coach House several times as a couple and think it’s amazing, but this was our first time taking family. The six different mains and five different desserts were all absolutely fabulous and our guests couldn’t get over what a wonderful experience they had at such sensible prices and in lovely surroundings. Linda must work so hard in the kitchen and Kev was kept very busy behind the bar, with plenty of customers just drinking as well as diners. So exciting to have a buzzing local pub.

The whole thing about this pub is first class. From the welcoming staff to the food. The decor is great all very fresh and in keeping with the area.

Visited on a Thursday evening and was very impressed. The food was great, puddings below are warm chocolate brownie & Sticky toffee pudding - both v tasty! Highly recommend eating here. The pub decor is lovely.

Beautiful refurbished restaurant. Immaculately clean. Had a three course meal. Food was excellent and very competitively priced. Would highly recommend a visit. Booked last minute pleased we did. Will be going back!

We cycled to the Coach House from our caravan a few miles away for Sunday lunch and were delighted to find they've now got Bateman's XXXB on draught (which was bang on) and spent the next hour quaffing a couple of pints in the sunny beer garden that is being returned to its former glory. The owners have also made a great job of the external and interior decor of the pub and the place has a nice, quiet, relaxed atmosphere. We both chose the pork from the varied choice of meats and really enjoyed the meal, with plenty of veg, roasties and gravy. It took twice as long to cycle back afterwards though! Well worth a visit.

We love The Coach House ,it is run by a beautiful couple who care for the customers,has a beautiful ambience, a clean homely comfortable place ,the Food is exceptional ,this is our place to eat out ,my Brother and wife love it too ,there happy to travel 75 miles to go to The Coach House ,they also find the food and ambience exceptional, we celebrated our sister in laws Birthday there ,the owners were happy for us to bring in our own cake and decorate the table ,we highly Recommend The Coach House there very accomadating, friendly, there's parking and out door Garden ,it's clean and tidy

Excellent home cooked food and very reasonably priced for the fantastic quality!!! The best home cooked chips ever!!! We had lasagne and chicken tikka, delicious,we never left a morsal.

Great place for a Sunday lunch. Plenty of meat and vegetables all served excellently by a young girl, with a cheery smile. Dessert was very nice too. Triple chocolate brownie ,apple and blackberry crumble and raspberry meringue sundea. Will certainly call again when in the area.

We love the warm welcome greeting and time to settle before ordering , the place is beautiful , gentle calm music playing perfect relaxing atmosphere, The menu had a lovely selection for us , the food is fresh food perfectly cooked , really delicious , creamy potatoes mash and braised beef in red wine sauce was heavenly the whole dish was , it was hot and well presented , we also had wagyu beef burger which also was a delicious meal , we definitely would recommend and we are definitely returning , there is plenty space and seats in lovely conservatory or in the main area , seats are comfortable , place is warm and well lit , spaces outside to park off the road . The Coach House has reopened under the original owners from 10 year ago - hurray!!!! Kev was behind the bar and Linda was in the kitchen. The pub looked great with a fresh new look outside and beautiful decor/furnishings inside, giving it a wonderful ambiance. The whole place was buzzing with atmosphere. The food was absolutely fantastic, with an excellent choice on the menu at very sensible prices. Everything we had was delicious. The waitress needed perhaps a little more confidence and customer interaction, but hopefully this will come with experience. We look forward to many more enjoyable meals here in the future.

We have been to The Coach House several times since discovering it this summer. We are just home from another sumptuous Sunday roast. Choice of four meats, delicious roasted potatoes and mash, a heap of fresh vegetables on the side, yummiest Yorkshire puds and tasty gravy. My husband is lactose and glucose intolerant and the Manager goes out of her way to ensure he gets exactly what he needs. We've been to Steak Night a few times too and the Steak is the tastiest, quality cuts of meat and always cooked to perfection. Super friendly staff. Beautifully decorated.

Never been disappointed whilst eating here Steak nights on a Thursday are fantastic the steak is probably the best rump/sirloin steak you will buy for the price Sunday roasts are very tasty plenty of meat choices and veg in abundance Staff and owner very friendly. If your in the area well worth a visit

We've been a couple of times for lunch now, once for a Sunday roast and more recently for a Saturday lunch. Both times we've had delicious meals in a cosy and welcoming environment. Very happy and will be returning again!

Never fails to offer beautiful, reasonably priced food, a varied menu and attentive, polite staff. A nice, clean pub with lots of detail such as the ladies products and nice touches in the toilet facilities. Pretty garden area - always have a great time here thanks 😊

We ate in the restaurant because I think conservatories are too hot usually, it was fairly quiet, probably because it was Thursday lunchtime. We haven't been out much lately because of covid so we were looking forward to a meal out and we were not disappointed. I enjoyed every mouth full. Lasagne was delicious, cooked perfectly and the chips were chunky, crispy and soft in the middle, couldn't be better. I don't usually go for fat chips but these were perfect. Coffee was great too as were the sweets. My husband enjoyed it all too. The staff were pleasant, quick and professional. We live a few miles away and will definitely go back again.

We visit the area fairly regularly and have eaten here a few times during this crazy time. Always a smile and a scrummy meal. This time the new ream were tip top. I particularly enjoyed the wonderful gravy and the coconut and raspberry dessert.

The food was great but was expensive especially £15.00 for a pie. Which is only pub grub. Looked at the only menu I could find online and it stated pies under £10. They need to update menus. Although a nice pub and restaurant wouldn't eat there again as too pricey.

Very friendly and professional. Ate there twice on a 3 night stay and, enjoyed all three courses, as did my companions. Had they been open on Sunday evening it might well have been 3 visits on 3 consecutive evenings.

Went on Saturday for a meal and what a lovely place it is. Absolutely spotless and it looks like it is newly refurbished. The barman was very friendly and professional. We both had a ploughman's which was delicious 😋 Will most definitely go there again.

My pal & I were on a 'buying road trip' long weekend to Lincolnshire, ostensibly to seek out military antiques but also to, finally, visit the Avro Lancaster in private hands at the East Lincolnshire Heritage Aviation Centre over at Spilsby.. So after a long and interesting back-roads drive across country from the South Coast, en route to our first overnight halt in Horncastle, my pal behind the wheel spotted the Coach House, our having opted not to stop whilst driving through Boston, and it looked open for lunch..so we stopped and headed in. I am glad we did, as feeling pretty peckish it looked like a place that would serve good lunch-time 'pub grub' as, happily, proved the case.. but what struck me was the superb & most attentive service and indeed warm welcome from the Maitre 'D. I use that title for, (as a long term hospitality professional..it later transpired)..he was wearing more than just a bar-man's hat...(though as a former barman myself in my youth I don't say 'just' disparagingly ), and he was very much on top of his game as the pub's host. The pub was admittedly empty upon our Friday lunch-time arrival but nevertheless the friendliness of our welcome and the time he spent (alas I did not catch his name.. schoolboy error on my part!..) ensuring we were suitably fed & watered before setting off again was something that many other establishments could take note of. Indeed I asked about a photo of a Royal Naval submarine photograph on the wall. ( .that's me never far from thinking 'things-military') and though he admitted he knew nothing of its background or why it was on the pub wall.. nevertheless some time later he came back during our meal with a full answer.. having investigated the matter for us.. now there is an attention to customer detail you don't see every day. The menu offered a good range and the meals were well produced, hot & tasty, (I had local Lincolnshire sausages with chips.. natch! ..and my pal had thick cut cold ham, egg and again with the 'obligatory' chips for 'growing lads') and the pint of Guinness I had with it (luckily as the non-driver) was cracking.. In essence, a great place to stop off for sustenance on a road-trip and I would have no hesitation dropping in again when next in that part of the country! Thank you! :)

A quick update on my previous review, which I have left below. The Coach House has a new chef....!!! My evening meal was absolutely outstanding. I was so impressed I had to tell the chef myself. This pub is well worth a visit. The food is really good value for money. The surroundings are very pleasant and clean. There is always a very warm welcome. I cant recommend it enough . Thank you so much to all at the coach house for making my evening memorable. P.s I hear on the grapevine that live music will be happening here soon. :) Is this correct?? Nice food, only thing was disappointed with was fish. Looked like the ones you get in packs of 4 at supermarket . Possibly they sold out of others as we were there quite late

Really nice pub restaurant. Went with my brother and his small dog and had a lovely evening. Kevin couldn't do enough to help us! Had the pie which is home made and it was lovely! No problems here!

Took advantage of the 50% off food offer as the Coach House reopened (with staff in training) and had a fabulous meal. As always we got a friendly welcome and the service and food was excellent. The pace of the meal serving was spot on. There were a couple of very minor hiccups but they were dealt with efficiently, with humour and apologies. Couldn’t fault the experience and will be back. So pleased you’ve reopened.

The hours were updated on the 24th March, apparently, but there’s nothing on their google page, just “temporarily closed.” Yes, we know that, but all pubs and restaurants open on Monday, so UPDATE YOUR HOURS! And what on earth does “LGTBQ friendly” mean? Do you encourage men to stick their tongues down each other’s throats in front of other customers? Do you encourage drag queens to use the ladies rooms? WHAT DOES IT MEAN??🤷🏼‍♀️

Me my hubby and our best friend fudge our dog staying in lodges next door lovely homemade food just had Sunday lunch really nice and homemade cheesecake to die for.

We come here every time we stop at Waterside fishing lodges. This is a great place to each food is all home made and nothing is to much trouble for them 5 stars from me.

We stumbled upon this pub in a trip to Mablethorpe. It was a boiling hot day and our air con wasn’t working so a pub with a garden was just what we needed.Was close to 2pm where I believe the pub closes for a few hours but the staff and landlady were more than accommodation. Served up 3 meals and drinks and didn’t rush us to finish.They asked if we would like to use the loos before they lock up and were welcome to finish our drinks sat in the garden.Lovely food, lovely service, lovely pub. If we lived closer I would visit here often

We were visiting the area in our caravan and staying on a site opposite the Coach House for two weeks and were cautious of going to any eating or drinking establishments due to the Covid situation. We need not have worried, we were welcomed by the lovely lady who runs the Coach House and who does all the cooking and her two staff members who couldn’t have done more to look after us. We were thoroughly spoilt.The sanitising and social distancing arrangements were very good and we felt very safe.There is a large, well spaced eating area and a lovely beer gardenWe cannot recommend it highly enough, especially the fish and the pies!

We had a 3 course meal tonight and all of it was well cooked and delicious. The service was also excellent. Everything was done in a safe way with hand sanitiser at the door and throughout the pub. We will certainly be returning soon.

Hands down you cannot beat this restaurant for service and food. You are greeted with friendly staff, good service. The food is varied and always excellent. The owner is friendly and if not to busy comes out to check all is well. We have been many times and always have had a great experience.

Absolutely outstanding. Nothing too much trouble and a very friendly and warm welcome even when we were an hour late and the restaurant had closed!! Sarah invited us in, served us a beautiful meal and even gave us a lift back to our campsite. Customer service at its very best.

During Covid-19 pandemic The Coach House has now started doing takeaways so we gave it a go and weren't disappointed. The choice on the menu was great (not just your typical burger /fish/chips) but a great range of proper "dishes" including starters, sides and puds, plus bottled/canned soft drinks/alcohol. The service was superb - telephoned our order, arranged a pick-up time (delivery also available), no waiting, excellent social-distancing, food piping hot and ready to collect, easy payment. Everything was well-served in appropriate containers, generous portions and the food was absolutely delicious. Well done The Coach House - we'll be back!!!

Four of us ate here last night. Upon arrival a lovely log burner was warming the room.The staff were really friendly and helpful.The menus has lots of choice and certain nights are special nights with food and a drink for around £10.We had a fish sharing platter to start which was ample for four and delicious.We all had different mains which again were all cooked to perfection.There is a good choice of draft beers and plenty of bottled drinks and wines.If your after a nice local restaurant with lovely food then book here with confidence.Thank you for a lovely evening.

Absolutely shocked to receive a child’s size portion for an adult meal, the roast pork was wafer thin plus we were overcharged. Very disappointed and will definitely not be going back!

Fantastic atmosphere and super food, I was the one vegan in a party of 14 and was catered for superbly, wonderful starter, main and dessert. I was made to feel most welcome and not, as in some cases, an inconvienience, the chef definitely went the extra mile. My non vegan husband couldnt rate his food and highly enough. I have re written this review to be more concise. Three of us booked for Christmas Dinner, we were about 15 minutes late, our booking was for 2pm we arrived about 2.15, we didnt feel welcome, seemed being late was a problem, food was not good, pudding, well one of them was - and I quote " stolen" so the total meal we booked weeks in advance wasnt available. We knew the cost, high because it was Christmas but even if it was a normal Sunday, it was poor. I would have complained if indeeed it was a Normal Sunday but saw little point on Christmas day, didnt want to cause a fuss for the other customers and didnt want to leave the establishment in anger as well as total dissapointment. I wont be going back. I am happy to tell what I thought of the food if asked and the service, both sub standard, a long way sub in my opinion

Christmas Day, so ? very expensive - expected , BUT, I thought it was very poor. We were a little late and that set the tone, didn't feel welcome, felt we were a pain for being late ( about 10 Minutes ) . Food ? well I wasn't in the Kitchen so wont say it WAS like I am about to describe but simply what it looked and tasted like, Meat ? covered in Gravy when it arrived and then a gravy boat was brought to the table, my suspicion ? the meat was cooked in a bag or similar, I would be amazed if it was carved, Turkey ? ok, Gammon ? tough and all covered in gravy , why ? Potatoes ? last time I had Roast potatoes that bad, dry and tough was when I had Aunt Bessies and left them in the oven too long!! I suspect the veg was frozen and the Yorkshire puddings ? again similar to the Frozen ones I occasionaly eat - when too busy to cook properly. The Pudding ? well having had to order the whole menu several weeks before, it was a surprise to say the least to be told one pudding had been , and I quote. " Stolen" and as such the ordered pudding wasnt available, the owner ( I think ) did apologise but no hint of a reduction to the very high bill, merely "to choose something else". Asking for a drink seemed to be something else that was a pain, the look I got ? I wouldn't have asked again.

We booked for Sunday lunch. We were a party of 6. We sat next to a radiator, but the place was still cold. We were wearing shirts and jumpers, but it was still cold. They had 2 large fireplaces, which were unlit. Boo! Which is a shame. The meal was lovely, well priced and plentiful. The service was friendly and efficient. If they sort out the heating they would be on to a winner.
