Been using this pub,on and off for last 30 odd years.staff here now are best for years.not had meal here yet,but what I've seen is pretty good.staff and management very friendly 100%

Recently visited and everything was to perfection. Food, staff and atmosphere was amazing !!

I recently visited the Coach and Horses, and it was a fantastic experience! On my first visit, I tried the Sri Lankan food, which was absolutely amazing—full of rich flavours and perfectly spiced. It's not often you find such authentic and delicious Sri Lankan dishes at a pub. On my second visit, I decided to try the Sunday roast, and it was equally brilliant. The meat was perfectly tender, the roast potatoes were crispy, and the entire plate was packed with flavour. The staff were friendly and attentive on both visits, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. This place is a real gem—I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Really good pub and the best Sunday roast around. Nice staff, good seating areas. Great for watching sport and has live music. By far my favourite pub in my area. Only downside is no Guinness but plenty of other options.

Sunday roast here is an absolute must! As well as the wonderful Sri Lankan street food and curries, the flavours are sensational and all presented beautifully. The service was also immaculate, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Everything made for an enjoyable experience!

We booked a table for Sunday lunch and as first time visitors had no expectations. The staff welcomed us and took us to our table and throughout our visit were polite and attentive. The food was unfortunately a huge let down. We had the whole roast chicken (£50 for 3 people) - it was dry and overdone, as were the Yorkshire puddings. We complained and got nothing but an apology. We thought the desserts might make things up but honestly it was some of the worst food we’ve eaten in a long time. The sticky toffee pudding was cold, the sauce burnt and the vegan ice cream tasted/looked horrid. Similar stories for the crumble and brownie. You get what you pay for and while we enjoyed the lamb curry, the rest was terrible. Might be a decent boozer but stay away from the kitchen.

It was New Years Eve, the atmosphere was Great & so was the Beer, everyone had a Good night customers & staff.

Ace Sri Lanka food, good beers, reasonable prices.

I had the worst pint of cider I've ever had in my life in this place. Or was it rancid kombucha on cask? Got charged an extra quid fifty for the privilege. It is possible to get a decent ale though.

I left Leyton many years ago but when I return to see relatives and/or the Orient, I always try and visit the Coach and Horses. It's a proper pub with a good range of cask ale and a very happy and efficient bar staff. The restaurant now serves excellent and good value Sri Lankan food as well the usual pub grub. Highly recommended. Only a few hundred yards from Leyton Station and Brisbane Road.

Been going to The Coach & Horses regularly of late and for good reason, it's a proper Free house pub. The beer selection is vast with many cask and keg options which is carefully cultivated to give many brewery and style of beer to choose. Venue is big with lots of seating and screens for sports very comfortable. People make places and the staff here are a good bunch who are friendly and knowledgeable. Probably the best pub in Leyton.

A great pub for Craft Beer and Real Ale which is a few minutes walk from both Leyton underground station and Leyton Midland Station. I counted 24 Keg taps and 10 cask taps, and when we visited there were 7 different cask beers and 16 different keg beers offering a variety of styles and breweries. They also have a decent range of AF beers in the fridge. We've also had the Sunday roast twice now, and both times was very tasty, especially the rosemary and garlic roast potatoes. It's also worth noting that the Gravity Well brewery tap room is only a few minutes walk away (who are probably producing some of the best hazy IPAs at the moment), so it's worth the trip over to visit both.

Really enjoyed the Sunday roast dinner. The welcome was great and service excellent. Fine ales on tap too. A really comfortable place to spend an afternoon. Thank you! p.s. Was great to see dogs are welcome.

Good sized pub with screens for sport and a good selection of beer and pale ale on tap. We went on a Sunday and had the roast which was decent but on the pricier side

Not tried they food but its a nice little place to chill out have a drink not over crowded it's nice in there the service is good it's more better now

Our visit to the Coach & Horses was a fantastic experience from start to finish! My daughter & I came to the pub ahead of the Spurs women's fixture at nearby Brisbane Road. The pub itself has a wonderful friendly atmosphere. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. We both ate. Being a Sunday I opted for the Roast Lamb which was cooked to perfection. The flavours were well-balanced, and the portion size was just right. My daughter opted for the chicken strips which she loved! The pub offers a great mix of classic comfort food and some more unique options. Whether you're after a hearty meal or a lighter bite, there's something for everyone. The drinks selection was equally impressive. Their range of beers on tap was extensive, featuring local brews and popular favourites. If you're a fan of craft beers, Coach & Horses has plenty to offer! Whether you’re stopping in for a drink or a full meal, you won’t be disappointed. Great food, great drinks, and a friendly atmosphere, what more could you ask for? We’ll definitely be back soon!

A hiccup in that our food order didn't get through to the kitchen, machine failure. Eventually got lovely Malay style chicken satays and an excellent salad with thin peeled mango. The delay was very amicably settled with nearly half the food order given for free - well done the staff.

We held a wake, which was larger than expected on the day. It was the perfect location. Staff were so helpful on the day. Kids were playing, again that was no issue. Food was amazing. Couldn't have asked for more. Parking was to be negotiated, few spots on the streets next to the pub itself £5 for 3hours, pay with app paybyphone.

This pub is fantastic! A top selection of ales and ciders, great space incl. the back garden and always a fab atmosphere. I had my birthday party here at the weekend and it was perfect. Jake and the team were brilliant hosts and we had the best time - thank you!

Los Ponchos we’re in town so we had to make a stop in. Kernel beers on tap (my fave) and we got the chicken strips to start. They were out of this world. The lamb curry next and we were off to an awesome night. Thanks to the guys behind the bar for your hospitality.

Had a lot of fun here, many different beers on tap, friendly staff, quite a large capacity so you always get a table. If you come in during the day you can work in peace. Gets massive football crowds though so beware.

Huge pub, super friendly staff, live band, beer garden and delicious Sri Lankan food plus some pub classics (burgers, mac n cheese) Any two cocktails for £12 from 5 to 9pm and they're delicious.

Went for Sunday roast & the portions were healthy, the Yorkshire pudding was perfect, & carrots were tasty- but the protein tasted a bit off (?) & our sticky toffee pudding was reallly hard & chewy. Despite that, we enjoyed the outdoor seating and had the ABSOLUTE best server (shoutout to Robin) who was super sweet, attentive, & on top of everything!! Thank you for a lovely visit!

Came in from Ireland and stayed for a long weekend. The hotel is very nice, atmosphere around the place is top notch and the staff could not be any nicer. The beer garden is massive food really good and the train station is directly across the road and will have you in London City centre within 15mins. Highly recommend this hotel. 👌

The staff are friendly, great selection of beers, and very family friendly (like a creche on Sunday afternoons!). Really lucky to have this pub as our local.

Usually go on a Sunday after tottenham womens games at Leyton orient. Food is decent and it's a good crowd.

Good vibes and good atmosphere. Friendly staff and great selection on tap (including the odd Sour). Really spacious inside with an average sized garden or back. Plus they show sports and have live music on a Friday and a vinyl night on a Saturday 👌🏾 Had a cheeseburger last time I was there and it's nice to have a burger with proper meat that's been properly grilled. Looks like their main cuisine is Sri Lankan focused though based on the menu.

Usually a good pub but stopped heating the place or playing music. Gradually becoming lifeless…

The fish and chips was the best i had in years

Booked a table for 2 for a Sunday Roast at 2 o’clock (arrived there 20 min late, my bad - shame on me), we were sat down straight away. The ‘pub’ area was quite busy, while the ‘dining’ area was not even full for 3/4 of it. Ordered our drinks and mains in the following 10 min (it was now 2,30). After waiting for exactly 1 hour (it was now 3,30) we received our - only - starter, a portion of (4) coated/deep fried prawns. At this point I asked the server how long for the mains, as I was starting to feel quite hopeless, she said ‘A few minutes’. Mains arrived after 10 more minutes. We both had a beef roast which consisted of 2 slices of beef rump, 2 potatoes, 2 carrots, 1 parnisp, 1 broccoli and a small bunch of cabbage leaves with a generous covering of gravy already poured all over. Now, the food was decent (I mean, beef could have been a bit more generous for 19 pounds and being in Leyton, rather than Central London), but did I really need to be waiting 1 h and 10 min for a roast? I don’t think so. That said, I understand that the kitchen was busy (even if I believe that with 4/5 chefs in it, the situation was still manageable as it was), but keeping people waiting longer than an hour for a meal that has been ‘pre - prepped’ in the morning? Come on! Other than that, nobody ever came to apologize, to let us know how long still, not to mention offering a drink or at least a stupid discount to amend for the inconvenience. I am assigning 3 stars as the food was alright, but will I go back? Clearly not. Shame.

The Srilankan food here is the best in London! A gem of a pub that serves amazing food, especially the Kottu, make sure you add the cheese!

The coach and horses was great, the food was taste, my friend had the paneer with chips all the blend of flavours came to together. The fish and chips was wonderful, the fish was just right not to crispy, it came with peas. There was also cauliflower barbecue wings, they had great flavour A good extra with our brunch. The was reasonable.

Ben hier geweest toen hier de wedstrijd was van Leyton - Barnsley,super gezellig ,het is een supporters cafe van Leyton. Dus voordat je op wedstrijddagen naar. Unnen wilt moet je je wedstrijd toegangskaart toneb, vergeet deze niet mee te nemen want dan kom je er niet in. Super leuk om tussen de supporters te staan,en een biertje met ze te drinken,

The Coach and Horses in Leyton, just north of the underground station is a delightful volumenous pub with a friendly atmosphere and great service. There is a big 'dining'area to the rear with a garden beyond. A great selection of keg beers and ciders along with a few less usual cask ales for those that do! Sunday Roasts on offer (not today, it's Wednesday!). A great pub.

I am partially deaf so have to wear two hearing aids but having recieved a quick call from my partner in philippines to say goodnight as they are 7 hours infront. A member of staff came over and said we were too noisy. We drank up and left will not frequent this pub in the future, seems they dont like disabled people.and the best part the have loud music playing. Since had an email back from the manager who did not explain why at the time he said we were noisy. Now he seems to refer to my phonecall. He says it was on loudspeaker. Which is wrong as i am partially deaf i use text 90% of the time. He did not address me diectly and certainly did not tell us the reason. Asked for the owners name now.

Nice pub with massive selection of beers.Good for IPA lovers with a good choice. Went here before awsy trip to Orient no problem getting in.Doorstaff on door but happy to let us in.

A good pub with a decent variety of drinks, a nice inside bar and a large beer garden.

This is a real gem of a pub. Recently refurbished, nice bar and fittings and a good draught beer selection. With live sports on the TV, a restaurant and beer garden, quiz nights, live music and even escape rooms upstairs, there is plenty to do here. They operate a "chef-in-residence" scheme - currently they have a Sri Lankan menu which was top notch - and they also do Sunday roasts which I will definitely be back to check out. Simply put, the Coach And Horses ticks every box.

What a wonderful place. The perfect place to recharge after a long journey through East London. Flow, the American pale ale by The Drop Project, certainly hit the spot.

Busy on a football day service was quick

Wir waren am 12.8. im Coach & Horses, um neben Essen und Trinken auch die Premier League schauen zu können. Im Pub gibt es mehrere Großleinwände. Glücklicherweise hatten wir 2 Tage vorher reserviert. Sonst hätten wir angesichts des Andrangs keinen Platz bekommen. Die Überraschung für uns war aber die Qualität des Essen. Für einen Pub absolut überdurchschnittlich und sehr zu empfehlen. Service war trotz der Menge der Besucher in Ordnung. Das Coach & Horses liegt nur ca. 200 m vom Stadion von Leyton Orient und ca. 600 m von der Tube Station Leyton entfernt.

Lovely pub that has been refurbished but has retained the feel of an East End 'local'. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. 3rd time here and will definitely will return although I expect its much busier when Leyton Orient are playing at home just round the corner.

The Coach & Horses hosted our wedding reception last week, and everything about it was fantastic. Tom's attention to detail was incredible, the Sri Lankan feast put on by Kamu Street Food was delicious (everyone wanted seconds!) and all the staff on the day were extremely helpful. The garden was great for the occasional bit of quiet, and ended up being perfect for speeches. We had a band, and Jake helped with everything to do with the music side of things. After the band we had the entire floor for a disco space. It was an amazing day, thank you everyone at the Coach for making it so special 😊
