The ClubHouse in Crawley

Utterly mental - from start to finish! Walked in to a dj playing warehouse techno right in front of the table we'd booked for family and friends at 6pm on New Year's Eve ???? £7.50 for a pint seemed initially pretty bad, but what made it worse was trying to get served in the first place...we were there for 2.5hrs and I got served twice - and yes I shouted and tried to get their attention and just eventually gave up. On the plus side , the food was really good but no one got to eat at the same time as timing was seemingly not there Forte. So, if you fancy a verrrry expensive experience whilst sitting bang in the middle of a dance floor (at 6 pm ) and being told 'that's their music policy so deal with it'... (and feel free to check the ice cream out as it's in a fridge to the side of the Dj booth) - then this is the place for you . Just Weird!

Phenomenal meal and well worth every cent. The man knows steak. Pay for quality but quality is what you get.

Was a little dubious, but I have to say, the steak was as good as I’ve had anywhere. Service was excellent and the owner / chef took the time to interact. I’ll certainly be going back, I suggest you try this place too.

This is a great restaurant for steak, seafood, burgers or chicken wings, whatever you & your guests fancy. Friendly staff & gorgeous food keep us coming back!

very over priced had to opt gir burgers and really couldn't justify the steak cost plus nothing included so fries and sides are extra! we ordered a Philli cheese steak was ok 6/10 pulled Chicked fries 5/10 pulled chicken was nice just on really cheap French fries portion of onion rings ( 4 onion rings!!!!!) this was £5 asparagus- portion was 3 pieces another £5 my husband had a burger and chicken wings which he said tasted good but not for the cost Plus the VAT is added on after do already inflated prices plus another 20% no wonder the place was empty. More staff than customers and 2 couples came in looked at the menu and left - which we should have done and gone to five guys instead

Came here for what I thought was going to be a nice birthday meal but as it turned out, it was a massive disappointment. We brought our own drinks which is always a nice addition but it only went downhill after that. It started when the server came over with the main courses as we were only about half way through our starters and rather than them taking the items back to the kitchen, proceeded to pull the starters from under us and force the main course down in front of us. This was only made worse by the fact we were sat right under the air con so by the time we’d taken a little break from eating, the food was nearly stone cold. I’d opted for a burger and to say it was rather greasy is an understatement. It was verging on inedible and for £25 (without any chips or sides!) it was extremely disappointing. Topped off with sub-par service and an obligatory service fee, I left feeling very let down from what I thought was going to be a lovely evening.

The steak here is top tier. something you would expect from a fancy steak house in London. Owner always has time to come and speak to us.

What an amazing steakhouse, the owner and staff are very professional, the atmosphere is great and the food (Steaks, lobsters etc) is out of this world. This is now our second time that we have eaten here. Highly recommended 👌

Incredible food, the meal was flawless. We started with the halloumi fries, and they were so good that I said "the rest of the dinner can't beat that!"... but it did! The steaks were absolutely delicious, so tender and succulent, cooked to perfection. And the sides, wow! The mash was so creamy and flavourful. The mushrooms were amazing. The garlic on the broccoli was fresh and the broccoli itself scrumptious. The service was excellent. The owner, Azam, was so passionate about his craft, about which was exceedingly knowledgeable. All the staff were polite and really helpful, even giving us boxes to take the leftovers home. Sure, the meal was expensive but it was so good that it was entirely worth it, we’ll have to go back for special occasions and will highly recommend it to our friends. Also, great music!! It's also BYOB which was great!

That is one of best stakes I have ever had! The food the same as an atmosphere is just unreal! Thank you for making our night spetial! If you are a stake lover there is no place around wher you can see what you will get on plate before its cooked! Highly recomend it for anyone who is in the area to give it a go!!

This is a classy, but family-friendly, spacious restaurant serving amazing food. The burgers were enormous and so really good value, and for a place specialising in meat, the vegetarian options were delicious. Other highlights for us included the mocktails and the churros. The staff were all welcoming, friendly and efficient. Loved the decor.

This was absolutely incredible. Azam, the chef was so lovely and truly loved the craft which beautifully came across in the steaks. It’s truly a hidden gem that everyone deserves to experience!

After reading reviews of the ClubHouse I had to pop over and see what all the fuss was about....firstly the atmosphere was rather nice with some 80's hits playing, it can get a little noisy but this is only due to the acoustics of the building and the general volume of the other customers.It can get cold in the in the winter months as the main door is open, as customers arrive and leave a cold gust enters the room, (maybe bring a jumper to be safe)The Menu could be a lot clearer, for instance the milkshakes were not under drinks and I didn't see a price for cans.I did order a milkshake and if I'm honest it was lacking in the amount of ice cream that was added, if wasn't thick at all - however this is a personal preference.Personally I would say the burger is by far the best I have had in England by a long shot! tasty fresh and simply delicious. the loaded fries were also very tasty but had a bit too much sauce for my liking as the fries became very soggy. (this is not a mark down just a personal preference)The onion rings were delicious and the hot sauce was right up my street - however very pricey for 5 rings! I was expecting a stack or at least doublet amount (10).Overall I think there is room for improvement, however I know its early days. I look forward to trying more of the menu and taking on the HOT WINGS challenge - I will post another review once this has been completed.

This place literally is my number one go-to-spot! I travel from Brighton at least twice a month to have their amazing burgers and steaks! Highly recommend visiting if you’re around the area. The bonus is that it offers 100% halal certified food!

This place never fails to please. Had a great set of staters which were cooked perfectly. The main course was out of this world, the slow cooked ribs and vegan burger are a must. I personally think this is the BEST place for a meal in Crawley.

Wow! This place really is a find. My sister and brother in law sing it's praises all the time. Last night they took me to try it. It was really good. If you like a steak, burger or general American Diner type food, then you must give it a go. The food is superbly tastey. It's cooked and put together with real passion. They don't serve alcohol but you can bring your own. If you can forget the diet for the evening you'll eat some really good food.

Visited with friends, after seeing social media posts and reviews the food looked good. I had a steak, it arrived looking very good and presented well, with coated fries and a nice dressed side salad. I thought it was under cooked and very chewy and not well hung and aged. Considering the prices charged for the steaks I expected better, gram for gram they’re more than top restaurants in Borough London. Once I had started it the chef told me sorry my steak was small but the butcher had cut them wrong, still charged me the same.My friends had burgers they were much better, Ill have one of those next time. The ice cream was good too, lots of flavours and generous scoops. I will come back for a tasty burger, not a steak, not that great for premium price.

Arrived here for a friends birthday, there were around 20 of us and with small children in tow. When I arrived and saw the bare concrete floor and grubby surroundings I was quite shocked and very dubious of what the food might be like.Having studied their extensive menu I decided on a halloumi burger, my wife had the cheese burger and the baby had fish burger.Despite some confusion when the food was bought out (waiter was using different names for dishes than the menu??) and my burger got given to another person, all food arrived just fine. Good size portions and delicious chips, my wife’s burger wasn’t particularly hot :/ however all the food was awesome and had a great taste and flavour.Someone else from our group ordered the steak which was amazing and certainly made me have food envy.Would recommend this place to others especially big meat fans

We’d been wanting steak for a while and came across The ClubHouse on a google search for Crawley. We went along to give it a try, it’s hidden away in a residential area off a carpark (part of a cricket club). It’s currently undergoing renovation so don’t be put off by the inside as the floor etc has been ripped out for now! The food was amazing! Absolutely delicious T-Bone steak with spicy chips and a wonderful refreshing salad. The Pina Colada (non-alcoholic) was wonderful too.The only thing I can criticise is the price as it is on the higher side compared to other places that do steak (maybe think about revising the price?), and the peppercorn sauce although in a very small pot costs an addition £2.50. It would be better if that amount of peppercorn sauce was part of the meal and if someone wants more then charge extra. Otherwise, it was all brilliant and the owner Azam does a wonderful job!

We come here as a family alot to eat in and to also take away. Food is always amazing especially the prawns. I would highly reccomend coming here as i have always had amazing service and food. The decor is a bit dated but that does not represent how amazing this business is. If your looking for the best food in crawley then i would highly reccomend coming here you won't be disappointed with the food.

This is truly one of Crawley’s hidden gems! Do not be put off by their appearance and let their amazing food do the talking! The burgers here are works of art and built with love and passion combining different tastes and flavours! The portions are generous and well worth the price we paid. Definite recommendation and can’t wait to visit again!

Have lived in Crawley for almost 20 years and had never heard of the clubhouse — it truly is a hidden gem!

We arrived from Paris landed at Gatwick after our Central Europe travel, pretty late about 10pm and everyone is hungry... We were looking for halal food and searched on google at the surrounding area and found this place. After picking up our rented car, head to this place using google map. We had to go thru a housing area and I began to wonder if the map is right or otherwise... We ended up at the parking area of a cricket ground and the restaurant is the club house. They are about to call it a day and the owner greeted us in a very friendly manner and entertain to our orders.

It's a place to enjoy, food music and the Hospitality. Amazing steaks and a great menu, Highly recommend specially the burgers. Thank you for the Amazing service.

After visiting Crawley on a regular bases for more than twenty years this is hands down the best food in town. The setting isn't posh but genuine and what matters is the tasty food, good portions and very welcoming staff. I recommend The Clubhouse and I will be back for sure

Do not judge a book by its cover - whilst the setup may not be 'the norm', the food is amazing - clearly they have a passion for delicious food (I have been to better looking restaurants but their food was very poor). We travelled from a neighbouring county and were not disappointed. Starters were very tasty - burgers too. Did not have room for dessert as the fresh mango juice filled me up.

Seriously good food, we ordered burgers and fries, I say burger and fries, but it was so much more than that! Beef patties are really tasty, I also added a chicken zinger fillet. Salad is lovely and fresh and there sauces are tasty, it’s worth paying the extra for the pretzel buns as they are awesome. I cannot fault the food in any way. It was really difficult to choose what to order as everything on the menu sounded good. Staff are very friendly and helped us choose from the menu which was a great help. Strawberry milkshake was great, next time I will just order a large one. Churros is to die for! Don’t be put off by the decor or the fact that it is a cricket club, if you like great food then this is the place to visit! I really liked the atmosphere in this place, a very relaxing evening, a great way to celebrate our anniversary. Looking forward to going back to sample more delights from the menu

This is surely Crawley's best kept secret, and the best place to eat in town by far. The owner told us all about the ingredients used, and was so enthusiastic about the food he makes. And with good reason. It was so good! I can t believe I didn't know about this place. Will definitely be returning.

If you can get past the fact this is at a cricket club then you’re in for a real treat. The food here is to die for. I went based on pics I’d seen on instagram and was not disappointed. We were so impressed by the food this really is a new hidden gem in crawley. Set inside the cricket club the setting isn't fancy in anyway, however the atmosphere is relaxed, live sports with lounge sofas, free parking, great choice of soft drinks, bring your own drinks also including alcohol. The owner and chef Azam is a real character, a two man band this guy will be employing more staff in no time once word gets out and the punters start piling in. Already looking to go back to sample the rest of the menu! Thanks for a great night. My recommendation would be to get the prawns, Peri wings, a burger and a steak and eat it all!
