Many thanks to Mark who continues to be an outstanding member of the team here Nothing too much trouble Courteous professional and without doubt the most proficient staff member here Others seem switched off at times and not sure of products they are selling Perhaps Mark could do some training with them

I visited the Clubhouse with my family to celebrate Fathers Day last Sunday, and have to admit to being quite disappointed! The Clubhouse is the new name for the Claret Jug at the Carrick, and while the makeover is really nice, unfortunately the food did not meet our expectations especially considering the price. Too expensive for very average food, and at £8 for a medium glass of wine, too expensive to even visit for just a drink! Would think twice about going back.

Lovely cosy and warm room with a double and a single bed!! Bathroom was great and even had a bath but was really cold though with no heater. There was a good selection of tea and coffee provided, however the milk was very out of date. Some of it was cheese!! Would maybe be better with a small jug of fresh milk.

We had food in the restaurant a few times, which was really good, macaroni was amazing, although no veg with kids meals even when menu said peas. Paying the bill was awful, tried charging for other people’s meals. Then the card machine was down another night. Sat pm no draught beer or juices. Had a takeaway Sat which was a total shambles, husband seen the staff member with our order and asked him. He continued speaking to another couple, then one of them asked if that was fish and chips and he handed it over from our order 🤬 so by the time we got a new one the other food had been sitting getting cold. The pizza topping was ok, the base was so hard that the sauce was sliding off it, the fish batter was far too greasy. The staff looked stressed when it was busy, probably needed more help.

Seated promptly and then promptly ignored at our table for at least 10 mins. Had to prompt someone to serve us. Coffee and cake was ok, lemon drizzle was meh! Over and done with in less time we waited to be served. A lovely place mind you and servers were nice, but style over substance. Unlikely to be back.

A great place with a superb view of Loch Lomond. The dishes are well-prepared and tasty at reasonable prices, considering the location. Friendly service.
