What an absolute horrible pub....customers shouting and screaming at each other whilst their Iceland food shop melts. Extremely foul language used by customers and the bar girl used the same expletives back at them..worst pub in Irvine by far. Paper signs showing where the toilets are....pub for the dregs of society will not be back.

Our visit to the Paddle Steamer was let down by extremely rude staff (Kara & Matt) and poor handling of an accessibility issue. We were seated near an access point that had no signage indicating it was restricted. When staff member - Matt - approached us and curtly asked us (and my disabled mother) to move, we explained that we were more than willing to cooperate if access was genuinely needed. Despite our clear willingness to assist, Matt insisted we move “in the next two minutes” without further discussion. We also overheard a staff member - Kara - make an inappropriate comment via radio, which was very disappointing. This experience clearly demonstrated the need for improved signage, friendlier communication, and better staff training around accessibility.
