Great service and lovely food. Pricey but worth the money.

From the selection of tapas starters to all of our main meals, the food was great. Wanted to give a special shout out to our server Bella. This was a busy Friday night but she was always aware of us and made sure that we were never waiting too long to order or wait for food.

We had a great experience at the botanist in Liverpool one. The food was good but the real pleasure was the staff. Marius was amazing, making the service very tailored to the customer with plenty of care and attention to detail. Staff make a business and Marius was a breath of fresh air. Great service! The botanist are lucky have him.

Slow service, told table ready, no cutlery no napkins, tasty food just about saved the experience but very over priced for what it is, discretionary service charge added for a table of 2 when dealing with long wait times between having to ask to place a food order and a 30 minute wait on food

Visited The Botanist for lunch on 26th October. We have been several times, and have always been very satisfied with the food. On this occasion, my meal was awful. You would think that it would be difficult to get sausage and mash wrong, but they managed it. The sausage were overcooked and rubbery, the peas were hard, and the gravy wasn’t very warm. Very disappointing.

Came her to thank the staff for such lovely service tonight. Came for my dad in laws 70th bday. The service was super friendly and helpful all the way through. There was a small mistake with the order but it was acknowledged and rectified in a really personable way. Mistakes happen but how it is dealt with is always the key for me and this was handled really nicely. Also the staff gave us an impromptu happy birthday song and embellishment on outer dessert. So nice they did that off their own back. It wa really appreciated. The food was really good and was happy to see some really decent vegan options on offer. Thanks for a lush evening!

Welcomed like a valued customer and given a menu. Served quite quickly and food arrived in good time. Very nice chicken kebab on the skewer with chips. Decent beer. Good service, good food, good atmosphere, good location. Reasonable price for what I received. Will return.

Absolutely fab! They went extra mile and wrote the message on table" Happy Birthday".The food was great too,we had Sea bass and Korean chicken(little bit spicy) and very nice cocktails.We will definitely come again in1 month time.Thanks to a blond waitress..

Arriving at 4.30pm we sat outside, no one came to take the order and we thought that there was probably no service inside. No problem, we enter the venue at 4.45pm. We are made to sit in an internal room. After 5 minutes a table sits next to us who will order after 10 minutes. Nobody considers us. After 20 minutes we ask to order but we only receive a "one second". We still wait but nothing. We call a new waiter who says that that room was only for those who wanted to eat. We, who only wanted to drink, got up and changed rooms. In the new room we wait another 10 minutes and then go to the counter and discover that we ordered from there. Unfortunately there was no communication with the staff, who were intent on drinking their cappuccinos/tea and talking to each other, instead of communicating with us who had clearly been waiting for a long time. Only the place is saved, really nice.

Starter was nice but as for the main (hanging kebabs) it was very bland. Basically just chicken and chips. Could have done with some salad and sauces or something with it. Not worth the money and very disappointing. Also asked for a Malibu and when the drink was brought to me was told they don't sell it and I have to have Bacardi. I don't like Bacardi so I would have preferred it if the staff member came to tell me first they don't sell Malibu and would I like anything else. Disappointing birthday meal, ended up coming home and ordering a takeaway as we was still hungry.

After a midday light show called into the Botanist for lunch. Saturday service so was busy. The staff found us a spot for two. I ordered a pint of Madris and my wife red wine. My beer was fresh and cold. I ordered the bangers and mash which was to be honest a cheaper option on the menu. Didn’t order for the price as I just fancied it. Wife ordered a club sandwich. My bangers and mash tasted great. Lightly minted peas which I wouldn’t eat at home added a nice touch. Gravy and mash tasty and the sausage tasted quality. Food was hot on service. The chicken on my wife’s club was pure breast and as thick as your arm. Salty fries and a bill with service charge £47. Fair price for what we ate and drank.

It is a nice place. We did not have a reservation so we were given limited seating options at the front even though they were mostly empty in the main dining room. The chicken was juicy. The pork belly was a bit tough.

Just called for a drink very good and a nice atmosphere

Gorgeous location on a sunny day, wine is a little pricey, nice friendly staff.

Mason looked after our large group so well on Saturday especially when the heavens opened and he made sure each of us had a poncho so we could continue to sit out listening to the great live music. Will definitely be recommending to others and returning on our next trip

Came here for Pizza on the Terrace, Mason looked after us and couldn’t be more helpful! He must have run up and down the stairs a hundred times to fetch what we needed and also was able to recommend some great places to visit in Liverpool! He definitely went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely meal! Thank you Mason we will definitely return 😊

We went for my wife's graduation. The food was really good, prices were reasonable. Lots of choice. It was very busy however but good restaurants generally are!

Went here for a drink after a few hours shopping. Lovely place but ordering a large glass of wine and a pint of lager, and being charged £21.50 is ridiculous. Wont be going back.

Great place this during the summer. Lots of outdoor seating and perfect place to chill for a drink or two when the sun is shining. Outdoor bar and I door bar with lots of seatin internally too. Expect to pay London prices for your drinks though which is a bit of a joke, having moved from London to Liverpool. The place is nice but it's not London price nice. ;-)

My daughter booked a table at the Botanist for my 60th birthday which I shared with my husband, my daughter and her boyfriend, my sister her daughter and her fiancé and her little boy. Fantastic enjoyed everything. Staff brilliant, food excellent couldn't falter anything. And to top it all of it was a beautiful sunny day.

Our first visit to this venue. Really good service and the food was nice. Didn't have to wait long for drinks or food even though it was quite busy. Bit of confusion with regards to what IPA was on draft as they don't do the one that was printed on the menu. Hopefully this will be rectified in time for my next visit. Would certainly recommend.

I regrettably booked a table for my nieces 6th Birthday. I noticed a massive change since the Restaurant changed hands. The service was substandard, we were left with our dinner plates on the table until we left. No one asked if we were okay or if we would like anymore drinks, and it was not busy at the time. When they brought my Nieces dessert to the table; I was asked if it was her birthday, that was it!! I am still yet to receive an email from Kevin the Restaurant Manager. I am disappointed how the complaint has been dealt with by Kevin. Furthermore, I won’t be dining there again, and certainly wouldn’t recommend it.

My first visit and I will return.. I would of g8ven 5 stars however it was a Saturday afternoon and only one lady serving whilst 3 team members stood at the end of the bar chatting so there was a wait to be served. Not impressed by that.

6th Apr 24. Very busy, popped in for one drink. If you're after food suggested you book a table in advance. Nice large outdoor seating area. We found a table inside by the bar and Ordered a drink at the bar. Staff are friendly, know there drinks and mix any cocktail straight away with no delay. Take both card and cash payments.

The Club House has been my favourite pub in the town centre for a while now. I have to come here when we visit the town centre as I found it relaxing, love the atmosphere. But…I used to like the decor but noticed before Christmas that the bar ceiling had been painted a very dark colour which didn’t appeal. When we came again recently the walls had been painted in the same colour. The place has now gone from a bright and happy looking place to a dark and gloomy miserable one. The pub hasn’t got much light coming in from the small windows behind the bar so the light decor of old helped brighten the place up. I’ll still visit but it looks terrible now.

Great open air shopping experience. Only knocked a star off because parking is expensive.

We had a lovely meal here with cocktails. Waiter was very polite and it was nice and warm. Situated at the top of Liverpool One, there was plenty of outside sitting space which would be great in summer. The menu had a good selection of items. We would definitely go back there again.

Have been here many times. Food is always delicious - the Haninging Kebabs legendary! Very pleasant surroundings and attentive staff. Unfortunately there was an issue with the coffee machine on this visit, but the 4 of our party who ordered hot drinks had their drinks immediately refunded. Definitely a favourite place to visit😀

It's a very aesthetically pleasing restaurant. Very clean and staff friendly. The food was good but the shared hanging kebab dish we had was not hot in temperature, merely warm. It also had 3 kebabs to it, to share between 2 which was odd, as the hanging kebabs per person seemed to have 2 kebabs and a load of chips. There weren't many chips and there was one pitta between 2, which was ridiculous. Mr J3 had to ask 3 times for his drink to be brought to the table and I'd given up on my final drink arriving, although it appeared when we'd finished eating. It was also a bit cold where we were seated, as the main door did not seem to fully shut and as people were coming in and out a cold draught was circulating. I hate sitting down for a meal and having to put my coat back on. I just don't expect that when I go out for a meal.

staff are always so friendly and welcoming always go above and beyond to give the best service. food is always gorgeous and fresh,fast service too. Place is beautifully decorated and always a good vibe even with little ones x

Worst restaurant I have ever been to. Looked promising initially. Took 20 minutes for someone for come and take a drinks order and we Ordered food at the same time. We waited 40 mins for the food so I politely asked a passing lady to chase it up for us. She was very rude, looked at me like I was mad and stomped off….. next minute the food arrived but we still had No drinks….. asked another lady who went to check, ten minutes later came back “what did you order again”? Waited longer for drinks. My daughter asked for mayo and ketchup which we didn’t get. It’s a shame as my food (bang bang noodle salad) and my daughters (chicken burger) was very nice, so thank you to the chef, but the service was utterly non existent. Really do need to get this sorted.

Service was really good for drinks and taking food orders staff really nice, food was very nice the only problem we had how long the food took to make and delivery to our table which was 1 hour 10 minutes which is a little to long we had to skip dessert because we didn't have the time overall very nice place place staff and food cooked from the kitchen. the chefs might need a hand possibly within the kitchen understand they might be busy..

Came here for New Year’s Eve, and everything was pretty average. Unfortunately we got sat in the conservatory bit which is super dated and nowhere near as nice as the main area. Food was ok chips were freezing cold though, and the lady that served us had the worst attitude. Understood it was New Year’s Eve but we had a fairly early seating so wasn’t even that busy. Such a shame as I have been in the past a few years ago and loved it.

First visit to the club house and it did not disappoint, the food was amazing, the atmosphere was lovely and the staff were all great. Will definitely return.

We went in for my dad’s birthday meal, and it was wonderful service before we even arrived. We got stuck in traffic and called just to let them know ahead of time we might be late. Reservation got pushed back 10 minutes without issue. On arrival it was a quick and easy process to get to the table. Service was impeccable & every staff member who served said happy birthday and was lovely. Made my dad feel very happy. 10/10 experience all around

Potentially pretty good when the weather is good but somewhat dreary & uninteresting in rotten, rainy weather. Service good but otherwise, all rather dull.

It was a good idea, but what could have been a great family experience unfortunately lacked in splendour. Drinks severed were awful and ridiculously overpriced. The door to the hut would not stay closed and spent the whole time trying to hold it closed to save the bitter wind from coming in. Service was awful and disrectptful as when Santa arrived, the waiter came and pushed the card reader in our hut, interrupting the visit from Santa, when he should have waited until Santa had gone. It might sound picky, but really, the whole experience was lacking festive cheer. Which was such a shame as with a little bit of better management, it could have been great. Dissappointed.

Belter little place for a few tipples

I'm genuinely shocked to see so many positive reviews for this place. I went with a large party for a work Christmas meal. It was very expensive. You expect to get a bit ripped off at Christmas, and this experience was no exception - but there were a number of other disappointing aspects. We were booked at 2pm and we were still in there at 5pm. We waited over an hour between main course and dessert. Everyone was restless and wanting to leave, but we had paid so much that we all waited in the end. It was slow and some of the food was cold (which, again, you do have to expect to an extent when it is a big party at a busy time - but for the price this annoyed me a little). We were spread across 3 tables and some people were told they could order drinks to the table, and others (including me) were told to go to the bar. After a very long wait at the bar on my first visit, I didn't bother to go back. They could have sold us loads of drinks, they just couldn't be bothered (or didn't have enough staff, perhaps). We were all sober and fed up by the time we left. The decor and cleanliness is OK, the staff we spoke to were pleasant enough (aside from basically telling us they couldn't be arsed to serve us any drinks at our table) - for the prices they charge, I would not come here again.

Lovely bar. nice atmosphere while also being popular as it always seems busy. Near to lots of shops so handy for a break from shopping, and also nice enough to start a night or go for a date. Staff are well trained and mannered which is always the case in Liverpool tbf.

We often meet here as we simply like the place. It is a tad on the expensive side so from now on, I think it will be a treat every few months. Please give more gravy with the dishes too! :)

Great staff, food delicious and super choice of drinks and cocktails.

The Clubhouse staff and venue were perfect for our team Christmas meal. Their communication and adaptability were fantastic. There were 26 of us in the end, with late additions, people dropped out and even an extra person turning up on the day. But the team were so helpful and were able to accommodate all the changes. The food and service was lovley as well. I would definitely recommend.

Im absolutely disgusted with my experience of the Clubhouse today. Me and my husband came today for lunch, there was no concierge so we decided to seat ourselves. When the waitress came we didn’t get a full menu so decided to order from the pub menu which was on the table. I ordered the scotch egg and a side of fries. The £7.50 scotch egg I ordered was disappointing, small and luke warm the side salad wasn’t fresh the lettuce was turning brown. On our way out to pay the bill, there was still no concierge and had to wait to pay our bill, and there was a que waiting to be seated but no one came so they decided to leave.

Service was exceptional, pate was amazing and the best I’ve tasted. Festive kebab was nice although the sprouts were too hard.

We had a really great staff night out. We went for the buffet menu and the food was lovely. Could have just done with labels so staff knew what they were eating. Our server kept checking in and looked after us well. Thank you for a great Christmas night out.

Staff overwhelmed, booked table but had to wait, too nosey. Staff not attentive, made errors on the bill.

The food and service were amazing, but such a shame as a couple to be placed in a room with a huge and loud Christmas party. Do t get me wrong, I know it’s Christmas party season and I’m not being a killjoy. But this party must have had 15/20 people in the centre long table of a room, with a few tables round the outside for 2. It just made a date night feel not so special. I think in future the Club House should either have all Christmas parties in the same room or just don’t put couples in the same room with them.

Amazing Christmas Dinner. Staff were so accommodating and helpful. Food was great and came out on time. Freddie, Elise and Sam were all so helpful. Would recommend very highly.

Very disappointed. Service was very poor didn't even get out drinks then when we used our Liverpool 1 voucher it wouldn't work on their system and we had waiting over 20mins at the bar to pay as no staff to the table. We called the voucher company and they seen that the voucher was used at the restaurant and that it been tried several times by them that's why it was declined. Very unhappy

We booked our Christmas meal here. There was 20 of us and we got the 3 course set meal and drink on arrival. Wow. What a meal worth every penny and more. The turkey kabab was a firm fav with everyone. The atmosphere was brilliant the staff amazing. Honestly can't recommend enough for a large party. Thank you so much everyone we had a great time

We met and were greeted very warmly, we were also taken to the conservatory part which was so cosy and I really prefer this to sitting inside. We had a table for 5 and each had a different meal and every single one of us were very happy with the meal and the drinks. I would highly recommend the hanging kebab as the who flavour was great. The drinks also were good
