Very expensive place I don't mind spending good money if u get good portions are good but charging extra for chips when burgers are £15 is a joke, had bigger better and cheaper burgers at side street kebab houses

A bland, cold and horrible burger from a place with Gourmet in the name. Absolutely awful I will not be ordering again. No love in the creation of this food - don't be fooled by description or photos it isn't tasty at all.

I used to eat here whenever i visited Liverpool One, i won’t be going back after today 02/04/2024. Took my wife and 2 grandchildren aged 10 and 6. Got told to choose a seat and someone would be with us soon, waited 10 mins whilst looking at staff, which normally indicates ready to order, nothing ….. Ended up going to the till and ordering, which isn’t a problem. if we were told there was no table service. Ordered 2 burger and chips and 2 kids meals which were in the menu for £2 each, the bill came to £59.00. I paid then my wife went over the bill and noted mistakes, i took the receipt back and spent another 10 minutes whilst staff tried to work out the error. The £59.00 was paid back to me, then another bill totted up, which was incorrect a second time. I wanted to mention it again but my wife asked me not to. We ended up paying £11 too much. Whilst the food was ok, the service and staff need looking at. I won’t be going back.

Many different options on the menu.The staff are really polite and it doesn't take long for the food and drinks to arrive at the table. The food was perfectly cooked and the burgers were juicey : I would recommend GBK.

We went for lunch two ordered the burgers which were lovely whereas I ordered the chicken wings which were so pink and undercooked, they had veins and were inedible. I did not say anything to staff as they weren’t that bothered with service as is, had to pay in advance so we just left. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Ok I get that food is expensive nowadays but I’d rather go breatharian than have to pay these prices for some minced meat in a patty. Went to Cabris in the south of France last year and had beautiful actual quality steak in a burger bun for a tenner. Review with photo of the steak on my reviews

Visited GBK Liverpool for some lunch while in town. Greeted when we arrived and while deciding on what we wanted to order we asked the staff about the Chicken Satay. They checked with the chef Seb who kindly agreed to sorting us with a couple of Chicken Satay Burgers. Excellent customer service, Seb and the team were really helpful and very friendly. Needless to say the burgers were top drawer as always in GBK! Thanks guys, appreciate how you looked after us today!

I have only been twice and we think stuff is going to change but it’s not. First of the service in the restaurant is awful. I went with My Girlfriend who is Gluten Free and the waiter said to us ‘Is there any allergies guys no?’ , saying it like he already knew us. When we sat down at the table , there was no knives , Forks , Spoons , Napkins at the table and there was no sauces provided. When I got my food as a side I got Chips and even 10-15 minutes into the meal the staff did not give us cutlery which is very very poor. The awareness and quickness of the staff is very poor. The meals were being brought out slow by the staff and no questions were asked once it arrived such as ‘you guys need anything?’ Or ‘Is everything okay guys’ none of that. They don’t ask or even provide you cutlery which is so poor. This will be the last time that I will be stepping foot into this place due to how poor it is all round. The staff , the service and quality of the place.

Watched the Liverpool game. Ordered panko hey pesto and taxi driver burger with truffle cheese fries. Tried the strawberry elderflower and p-star martini. Food was great. Staff very friendly. Jessica was very helpful and informative. Definitely will be back

Upon entering there was a “please wait here to be seat sign” so we waited and were told to sit at a table “over there” with no real indication of what “over there” meant so chose one of the cleaned tables. I don’t usually mind picking my own table but having to wait to be seated but the customer service was just not it. Firstly, I tried ordering on the app but had issues with my card so went to pay at the till… somehow by ordering in person our meal became £6 cheaper (not including the tip we were going to pay on the app?!). Secondly, ordered two of the Strawberry and Elderflower Fresh and Fizzy for £3 each. Received our drinks and they were flat and flavourless. When we complained we were told that their fizzy water dispenser was broken (nothing mention about this when we paid). They offered to make our order with bottled fizzy water and add more cordial (went from being a pale pink to the deep berry red it should’ve been). Thirdly, when we received our food my partner’s order was fine however the bottom on my burger bun had turned to sludge on one side. Completely put me off of my food and didn’t even bother complaining. Furthermore, went to the bathroom to wash my hands and the right sink was covered in bits of dirt as if someone had emptied a mop bucket into it. And the restaurant floor and booth seats had not been swept/cleaned recently as there was food and crumbs all over the place. Which would’ve been excusable if it were busy but it was not. Some staff didn’t seem to be properly trained as they were struggling to use the tills and they seemed understaff even when quiet. Just waited for my partner to finish their food, got up and left. Overall a really bad experience, highly negative and disappointing evening. Bought some food from a supermarket to eat when I get home. Not worth the money and we won’t be returning!

Went with me mates last year for the first time wondered what it’s gonna be like. I can say they have some belter beef burgers, very enjoyable, if you want your burger prepared the way you want it just tell them. Was happy with the prices and the taste, defo recommend

Out of all the places to eat in Liverpool for my nieces birthday, I think we picked the worst choice. The menu sounds fantastic but what our group of five experienced was standard at best. At almost £80 for four of us with another ordering separate, I wasn’t expecting the world but I was expecting decent tasting burgers which you can get from five guys next door. When we arrived, we didn’t wait long for the staff to seat us and they did move tables to accommodate us which was a nice start, but when we ordered, there were not many tables in operation so I did not expect a 40 minute wait for food. When the order came out, two were served first, then myself five minutes later and we had to ask for the fourth person who had a kids meal (which I would have assumed given chicken and chips would be first before burgers). Another person ordered separately within ten minutes of our order but some had finished their food before they had theirs which was also a basic chicken and chips. I would like to point out service was lacking. If you’d seen a table of five and noticed one person without a meal, surely you’d check on that meal or update that person of the wait. The fact they had been left for another twenty minutes, made some of our food cold by waiting for us to all start together. (In this time, other tables had burgers served and some tables ordered after this person placed their order which annoyed me the most). We didn’t have cutlery on the tables and had to ask for napkins. Getting a staff members attention (given there are plenty) wasn’t successful. No one asked if we were ok or if there was anything we needed, it was a simple “dump the food and leave” which is alien to me. I ordered a taxidriver burger cooked well but it came with a flag that said medium so I left the middle of the burger as it was not to my taste. The burger itself was greasy and heavy but the onion rings and sweet potato fries I had as a side were a good choice. The chicken tenders two people had were over cooked so they were left in parts and most of the food except the chicken burgers were warm at best (Some of this was due to waiting for the fifth person to get their meal). The chicken burgers seemed best as both enjoyed them and they were extremely hot given the fact they came out first. I hear some of you asking “why didn’t you send your food back?” .. the reasons are simple and many. (we were on a deadline with getting home, getting staffs attention wasn’t happening at best and we were too hungry to wait another forty plus minutes). The facilities are by far the worst I’ve seen in a very long time. When you do need to use the toilet, you can learn to ski with the skating up and down the three sets of steps you’ll do. Each step had grease or water but there is a handrail that I heavily suggest you use. When you get to the female toilets, you’re spoilt for choice between a toilet with the dispenser on the floor without paper or the toilet with the dispenser almost off the wall with paper. You won’t need a plug for the sink either as they slowly drain. Overall would I recommend this place to others given the fact there are competitors in the same row? No… Would I recommend you try somewhere else with better service and organisation? Absolutely..

Nice food but really in need of a good clean. Visited a few times now and the floor and tables are sticky. Doesnt give a nice impression when your shoes stick to the floor and your sleeves stick to the tables. Really disappointed as used to love this place but feels a bit unkempt now.

Service absolutely shocking, burgers came out alone with no sides or chips (waited another 15 mins for these for them to come out cold). Spent £55 for two people and would have been happier in Mcdonalds.

I was early for lunch so had the whole restaurant to myself which meant attentive service, quick food!

We visited here today and had the special price burger and fries for £7. I had a chicken burger with bacon and American cheese. My husband had a plain burger and fries. We had a happy hour milk shake and a pint of lager for £4 each with a side of extra bbq sauce. Apparently this is the new menu that started today …. they asked for our feedback …. gotta say it was really good value and tasty food! The staff were so lovely and attentive. This will make us definitely return.

Friendly staff and excellent food will call again

GBK used to be my favourite place in town to get a burger but unfortunately I won't be returning after my most recent visit. The burger ordered was medium rare, this was overdone. The baconnaise tasted absolutely awful, it tasted like chemicals and was quite acidic. Onion rings were so chewy I actually spat it out. Staff didn't come over once to check on our meal. Sat at the table afterwards for 15 mins after eating and no one came over and cleared our plates despite the restaurant being empty on a Thursday night. Really disappointed and feel robbed of £50. It's an expensive place and usually I wouldn't mind paying as I've never had a bad meal here but sadly I won't return after this latest experience. Haven't been in about a year so maybe everything's changed.

I went here with my partner on a Saturday evening for a bite to eat. The restaurant has a nice buzz to it and we were given a reallt friendly welcome by Ashlea and seated quickly. Ashlea was very attentive and helped us with anything we needed, she made the dining experience at GBK enjoyable as she was very cheerful and bubbly. The food was lovely! Thanks.

Absolutely rammed at 7.45pm Saturday but we got a start fairly quickly. Staff were rushed but still amazingly helpful. Kitchen had run out of a few things but we had fun.

After 30 minutes our drinks still hadn’t arrived. We understood that the restaurant was busy but at the same time we saw the staff members just laughing and talking on several occasions. Several tables around us looked annoyed and were waiting long times as well. Ended up asking for a refund and left.

Nettes Servicepersonal, gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis. Leider konnte man nur vorab Trinkgeld geben, obwohl man quasi keine Konfrontation mit dem Personal hatte. Wir waren zu fünft, drei von uns waren mit dem Essen sehr zufrieden, aber leider waren zwei der Burger, die wir bestellt haben, verbrannt. Der Koch hat sich auch nur mit den Mitarbeitern unterhalten. Bei Beschwerde mussten wir nochmal 20 Minuten warten, obwohl der Laden größtenteils leer war. Zwar hat es gut geschmeckt, wir hätten jedoch bei den Burgern für den Preis mehr erwartet.

Promptly seated upon coming in. A large number of menu items were out of stock including a majority of the burgers. Upon ordering a burger I was told the meat on it was no longer available and that a substitute would have to be used. Floor was sticky and for the price you would expect chips to come with it.

Avoid! The chef was also our waiter, the table and cutlery were dirty, there is no interaction or level of care from the staff. My burger tasted like powdered mash potatoes and my partners was burnt black. No one checked back, the restaurant was so understaffed they should have just closed, our meals sat barely touched for 20 minutes on the end of the table but no staff seemed to notice or care. Truly awful experience.

We came here with a wowcher and were satisfied with the quality of the food. The manager was very helpful and I’m not sure the running of the place would have been sufficient without him. My only complaint would be that it wasn’t very clean inside.

Strolling through Liverpool one out of all hospitality venues we chose this one, I had American cheese burger, my partner a classic Chicken, I have been a working chef for 47 years, I have made fresh burgers for sites I have worked at, also at home, yours have got to be the best I've tasted, a great recipe it would seem using 3 cuts of beef delivering a crumbly but firm flavoursome burger, ordered medium and cooked to perfection. My partner fancied chicken and had the grilled classic chicken, again cooked to perfection yet moist with a lovely chargrill flavour. My partner had a cider, I had a Vegan vanilla shake made with oatmilk which was thick and full of flavour, the service was top notch, great atmosphere, if you guys need a slogan. BURGERS TO BOAST ABOUT!

As someone with a celiacs Disease, this is the best place for gluten free food around. Its incredible tasty. Plus the staff are amazing and it's quick service

My partner and I visited here tonight. The service was fantastic. The manager sat with us to help us get our order sorted on the app as we had a deal on there. All of the staff were lovely.. The food was gorgeous too! We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back

Arrived, greeted straight away and allowed to pick a table to sit at. We sat down and it was explained either order at till or on app. Told they have run out on certain burgers. We ordered via the app, which was a little bit a faff but managed in end. Used the toilets, not very tidy, lack of toilet paper. Food came quite quickly but our drinks didn't come till half way through food after asking for them. Asked for changes on my burger but came with the item I didn't want. Also we were the only family and another couple in there so not exactly run off their feet. No one asked was everything OK. Female server was then brushing up around us when it wasn't needed. Next another member of staff from the kitchen was sat on his phone right next to us when he was on his break. He soon got told to move by management. Wouldn't want to see this place busy. Wish I never gave a tip now when ordering via app. Didn't deserve it. Nothing above and beyond.

Booked 5 days in advance and warned we were both gluten free. Not a fad like a vegan. An actual allergy. After drinks are ordered to be told “we’ve had a busy day and we have nothing GF” what? We all know it’s kept frozen. Bad management? Either way. Never ever again.

I think the standards at GBK have slipped up over the years. The Vegan Bean burger was far from anything special - quite dry in fact. I felt the chunky chips were a bit unseasoned. Thankfully, they have a vegan milkshake (a vegan chocolate would be preferable).

Great food as always will be back again soon

Decent burgers, great milkshakes! It’s been a long while since I last went to a GBK, around 5-6 years. I had plans to watch a movie at the Odeon so the location was very convenient with it being on the top floor of Liverpool One. I visited on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and it was quite quiet. The male waiter that served me and my friends was very friendly and helpful as I had an issue using the new app with my previous email and took my order at the counter. Since it was a long time since I last visited, the company had changed the app and it’s customer database - I had to download the new app and sign up for a new account using the same email I used previously but unfortunately all my previous rewards had been removed on the new app. I ordered the GBK Cheese and Bacon burger (£11), sweet potato fries (£4.50) and a sea-salted caramel milkshake (£5.75). The burger was nice and cooked medium as requested but I’ve personally had better burgers elsewhere. The sweet potato fries were nicely salted and crispy and the milkshake was just the right amount of sweetness like I had remembered. Overall, GBK has been consistent over the years - The service is great, good sweet potato fries, nice milkshakes and standard burgers. I used to come here more often when Liverpool One and GBK had opened but there are more options for good burgers now.

The food was OK. However, the toilets and the route to it was disgusting. The smell of grease was vile and the stairs were so thick with grease it was like an ice rink. Definitely my first and last visit

Where to start??!! 1. Weren't given menu that had the meal deals on, therefore we over paid 2. All Burgers were tiny, just a tad bigger than your slider burger (including the chicken tenders for the kids) 3. Burgers were over cooked (burned edges) 4. Went on the 9/ 7/ 23. We had the taxidriver and classic cheese,portion of chips, 2 x beers. Just over £35. The bar staff very friendly and helpful, would definitely go agai .

The Burger was very nice as well as the sweet potato chips. the chicken was ok but didn't taste of much even with a dipping sauce (cajun relish - tiny bit sweet). The staff were nice and the restaurant was very quiet so the service was quick. We paid around £20 for everything.

I have to say one of the best burgers of Liverpool. Definitely come here to try it. Only negative thing I can say, the fries are not included with the burger and the portion of fries you get is small compared to how much you pay it. Other than that the burger is a delicious. We had also chicken fillet that was £5.50 including a sauce and the portion was small (they state It is for sharing)

We went in at about 8pm last night and the place was not clean. Service was very slow even though we were the only ones in there. The food was quick and the burger was ok but the fries were awful, they were like dust, well over cooked and greasy…we couldn’t eat them. The coleslaw was dry and couldn’t eat that either. The onion rings were also well over cooked and greasy also. We spent over £50 and felt we had completely wasted our money. We would have told staff however no one came to check on us
