A hidden gem, just a short walk from Haymarket Station. I had the traditional breakfast, fantastic for only £8! They don't charge service, so remember to leave a tip!

Awesome little place, staff were super friendly and welcoming. I had the veggie breakfast which was really tasty and good quality food. Pretty big plate for a reasonable price too, it also came with a glass of juice included (£8.50). Definitely worth a visit and your money!

I ate here every morning when visiting from the states and really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. The owner and the rest of the staff were so kind and attentive. I got the Turkish breakfast with a mocha latte every morning and I really enjoyed it. The amount of food for the cost was great! I already miss it.

Food was okay. Nothing special, but good for the cost. Staff was very casual and bathroom was a little dodgy, but a great little place to grab breakfast!

The breakfast was delicious, the staff really friendly and they had an alternative for cow milk. We enjoyed starting our days there, definitely can recommend.

Lovely place for having brunch for a reasonable price. The interior is very nice and welcoming although we dined outside. The exterior on the other hand could be improved. Also it's a rather busy area so I would definitely recommend to go inside. Overall the food was good and very reasonable priced. The coffee was excellent. Very kind staff!

Popped in for a coffee and a snack pre Jazz Fest at St Brides Community Centre. The espresso was great and the honey cake amazing. Definitely worth the calories. Service with a smile from a friendly, efficient lass. Highly recommended.

This was right near our holiday rental and was the first place we tried. Not a lot of options for our son with food allergies but we all ate. It wasn’t the best meal but definitely not the worst. lol The owner was so friendly and welcoming and we were thankful to have found food so quickly.

Very disappointed with our visit to The Clock Cafe today. I ordered a ham and cheese panini but left most of it as the cheese had a very strange taste (my husband tried it too and agreed with me). When payment was taken my husband pointed out that my food didn't taste right and had to be left, but was still charged the full price regardless. They didn't seem concerned that the cheese could have been off or that it was inedible, and by their own admission they didn't know what kind of cheese the kitchen used. Disappointing service and food. Will not be back.

A reasonably nice place, with friendly staff. Didn't think much to the breaded chicken bbq wrap I ordered. Was served with salad and chips, however the salad in the wrap was limp and didn't seem fresh. Seating downstairs was quite cold and had an unpleasant smell. Not against giving it a second try but this first impression doesn't give me confidence.

Had lunch here last week and it was lovely! Had the chicken ceasar salad, thoroughly enjoyed it, (maybe just a bit too much dressing on the salad for my liking though)

Staying in the Hub by Premier Inn, and went on the hunt for a good honest British Breakfast. A quick walk, and I found the Clock Cafe. A warm and friendly welcome. A strong double espresso, and a hearty breakfast. A relaxed atmosphere, with time to read the papers, and enjoy the free wifi. Will be back tomorrow..

I've been in Edinburgh for three weeks now with an intense caffeine addiction and this is my absolute favorite coffee. The flavors of their espresso are strong and bold, but not too much to handle. This cafe also has a delicious lemon tart, which is definitely worth a try if you like citrus flavored desserts. They have the most adorable downstairs seating area, which is perfect for a quiet morning with a book. The menu also has a number of great full breakfast meals, which are also very reasonably priced. When in Edinburgh, be sure to check this place out!

Went in for a latte, simple request. The cafe was a cute little place, I was told they only serve one size since I asked for a very large cup and then explained you get 2 shots, I asked for another shot. Great service! On waiting I looked at their cakes, who can resist a cake huh? Well, they had a lemon tart and I also saw a layered honey and lemon cake, reminded me of a pancake cake. So I bought one of each. The girl also recommended I put the layered cake in the microwave for 20 seconds if I was going home which I was. Such a fantastic surprise to have the cakes in the evening and find they were absolutely delicious! The lemon tart; just the right amount of citrus flavours, sweet with a hint of bitterness in the background. The pastry was crumbly but with a slight crunch, not often you get this unless it’s a speciality patisserie (normally by the time you eat it, the pastry is soft and rather soggy…not this one). The layered honey and lemon cake was divine! It was very thin sponge cake with this beautiful delicate buttery creamy filling between each sponge layer, with a sweetness but slight tangy lemon undertones…perfection! Very much not for sharing, at least I didn’t want to. Oh, I should mention the coffee was good too, nice and strong and full of flavour. Didn’t quite catch if they make everything in house or not, however, I’ll definitely be back!

The Clock Cafe has something on the menu for everyone. From all-day breakfasts to cakes to a great selection of salads. My table had a goats cheese and roasted veg salad, avocado salad and a croissant and scone. All were delicious. What really impressed me were the staff - they were so friendly and helpful. There's also outdoor seating. Would highly recommend!

Met a friend here this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by the menu. We had lovely fresh salads and a bottle of house wine - really nice and the service was very friendly. Will definitely go back for a brekkie roll and coffee.

Came here twice for breakfast while staying in the area. Had the vegetarian breakfast and the Turkish breakfast. Good food at very good price and great coffee. Really welcoming staff. Nice atmosphere and not too far from Haymarket Station.

What a find, fab coffee and great freshly prepared food. Staff are very pleasant and chatty, if busyness allows. And well priced.

The best avocado,salmon on toast I have ever had. A simple dish, but not so simple on the taste buds. It wasn't over or under powering it was perfect. The salmon was absolutely divine. Presentation superb. I would of happily paid double! Its a must visit for foodies.

Popped in for a quick coffee, stayed for more. Sat downstairs and it was so welcoming we stayed for much longer, the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and we all ended up eating. This is definitely my new favourite coffee shop.

The food is reasonably priced but you do get what you pay for, the food is VERY average when it comes to flavour and quality of the meat is quite poor. Would only recommend if you needed something to fill up on and aren’t fussed about the taste.

Popped in for a quick salad and juice on a sunny Saturday - sat outside with our dog who was given a bowl of water. Very tasty salad - excellent, friendly service. Good value for money. Enjoyed watching the world go by sitting on the corner of Dalry Rd and Orwell Terrace.

It was a true pleasure to enjoy a vegetarian breakfast at The Clock Café this morning; a quiet, calm atmosphere, super clean and comfortable. I'm really not the type of person who photographs their plate, but the presentation of this breakfast was truly divine, and I simply couldn't wait to tuck in! Obscenely tasty, and sufficiently sized to keep me going until late afternoon! Waitress, chef and staff all kind and considerate too! 'Mon the Clock!! :)

Stopped off for a coffee, very friendly staff, the gentleman even helped me out as I required a plaster which was no trouble, very clean and well maintained cafe. Highly recommended.

I was there summer 2019 with my mother and we really loved it there. The clock is a lovely cafe with a nice downstairs room. The food was good and the stuff was very friendly. We where three days in Edinburgh and every morning we went there to eat. I also wanted to thank you for making my first day in scotland and my first breakfast that good.💞
