Good food and very friendly staff

Attended the wake of my dear friend Rob Gray, Duke of Wellingtons and a fighter for our Northern Ireland veterans. The welcome and the service was amazing.

Excellent food (especially the noodles) brilliant staff warm and welcoming and bloody good beer. What more could you want. Don’t even get me started on Saturdays, what a night! Couldn’t recommend more highly.

On a very sad occasion for the passing of my father in law the Clifton was chosen for his wake. Not been in for a long time but the people I saw were very welcoming. Thanks to Bernie and his staff for a lovely send off.

Relocated to Clifton Moor, but tonight was the very first-time that I set foot in The Clifton Hotel. The warmest of welcomes from the very attractive Kirsty, plus a pint of Inch's Apple Cider hit the spot! I can honestly say that it was the best pint of cider that I have had in very long time! Exceptional service also. 💯 per cent recommended! Will be bringing the wife next time.

May have found my new local (which is actually local to me not in town) my experience is of a Saturday evening. The service was great, staff friendly, wine actually good (pub wine never usually hits it right) and karioke!!!! Woohoo

Not been in here for about 20 odd years looks a lot better more modern feel reasonable prices

Great night at our presentations for the Clifton angling club

What a lovely surprise. I have not been to the pub in years. The management and staff go above and beyond. The food was hot and served in good time. The food was all served with a nice side salad which complimented the dishes. Drink is great priced and the setting of the pub is great. Couldn't have had a better expirence! Thank you to the staff and owners of this establishment. Thank you for a great visit. We will be there weekly! Went in for a meal with family and a few drinks prices are spot and the food is delicious landlord and land lady are top people Berne & Sharon very welcoming definitely recommend if your in Clifton area will definitely be coming back again!

Dear Mr Heineken, I have been to this pub to eat on several occasions, Well above average food standards, good landlord and great catchment area, This is a jewel in the Clifton area so why is it so quiet. Great little pub. My old local till I moved, but still call in when I can. Run by Bernard and his other half Sharron. Very friendly. Good beer and a great beer garden etc.

We had a brilliant night. It was quiet but we were made to feel very welcome. And its not too far to carry the wife home 🤪😂😂 Definitely our new regular. Will be going back soon.

We used the Clifton Hotel pub for my little boys christening party. I could only say positive things about the whole place. The pub is split in to a adult only Room and a massive function/eating area/ family friendly area. It also has a really lovely outside area with grass to let the little ones run round in. The pub has just been refurbished and it was really nice inside, very clean and comfortable. The buffet we had was also amazing, and so tasty and the lady who does it was really nice. Finally the staff where so friendly and easy to chat to, it was like you knew them all your life. I would highly recommend the Clifton Hotel Pub. It was the first time I had been there, but I will definitely be going again.

Nicely refurbished and very pleasant atmosphere and staff

Popped in this place and its got its own language, not York, Not Yorkshire, just Clifton. Original dialect, would visit again. Peeve means beer Ken means pub Weeny means really buwer means woman. That will help you get started. Enjoy!!
