Great breakfast, service and all the staff. Good quality food a Lori day. Prices comparable with other cafes in Rochester.

There are ample bike racks just outside, where you can safely lock up your bikes. The Cafe overlooks a conservation area, so it has some really nice views, particularly when the weather is nice. Don’t expect “ gourmet “ food, but do expect a nice English breakfast, and or a nice selection of freshly baked cakes, and at a reasonable price. The staff are very “ cyclist” friendly. The bathrooms are kept to a high standard of cleanliness. All in all, a nice stop, in a nice location, that serves good basic food.

Real shame was looking forward to a nice breakfast. Instead our order was wrong, toast brown not white, bacon instead of sausage and tea instead of coffee ( cheap instant!)!! Poached eggs were not an option and food was luke warm. Food quality was very poor, really needs to improve before we ever go back or recommend. Although have to say very friendly staff just a shame couldn't get our order correct.

Only reopened 8th Aug 2017 with new management. Went for lunch today and was most impressed. Very clean, very nice food and dog friendly. Dogs are contained to one end which is a good idea and they have to be well behaved. Staff were very friendly with table service. Nice place to visit when attending Cliffe Pools or cycling in the area.

We went for a walk around Cliffe marshes and popped in here for breakfast afterwards. As we had forgotten to bring any cash it was great to be able to use our credit card to pay and it was also really nice that we could bring our dog in rather than having to sit outside. The staff were all really friendly and the breakfast was good value, especially as it included a hot drink and toast. Everything was well cooked and there were plenty of condiments.

Outstanding breakfast really good value for money was recommended this place I think the prices were very good for the amount you get. Cakes were gorgeous and the staff couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely be back. Thanks Ladies.

Popped in for breakfast on Sunday morning and was greeted by friendly staff who had our orders in and seated us comfortably in no time. The three of us had something different but all meals were very good and definitely value for money. To top it off the cafe is situated among a wildlife reserve and fishing lakes so the view and surroundings are very good too. We would absolutely go back.

After a recommendation, we decided to visit. The staff weren't at all friendly and looked quite put out that we wanted food. Ordered two breakfast one small and one normal bacon, sausage, egg and toms with a fried slice and two teas. No toast was offered. The cakes on display looked nice so ordered a slice to take away. Total £16.90!!! Our breakfast didn't arrive at the same time and it wasn't a great breakfast, the fried slice so saturated with oil that it was inedable. Even more diasppointing than finding such a small sliver of cake for the price charged, it turned out to be dry and inedible too. Such a shame. Maybe it wasn't a good day but judging from other reviews I'm thinking this is the norm and they should really try harder and reduce their prices, a London artisan cafe they are not!

Today, 20 of us descended on The Cliffe Cafe for a mid morning snack. There were just two ladies taking the orders and preparing the food, but our orders were efficiently taken, and shortly thereafter our food arrived. The food, is good clean food, offered at a fair price. Thanks go out to the two ladies, who remained calm, even under the onslaught of 20 cyclists. The bathrooms are kept very clean, and the cafe is set in an ideal setting, overlooking the Cliffe Lakes, which is a bird sanctuary, fishing ponds, dog walking, people strolling, natural habit area, well worth the visit.

17 of us cyclists called in this morning for a brief stop. There were two friendly ladies who served, and took care of us. Apart from tea and coffee, we ordered omelettes, bacon sandwich's,cakes, etc, the usual breakfast/ snack fare. The food itself was fairly priced and well presented. The bathroom are kept nice and clean. The cafe is located in a bird sanctuary, and as such it is set in a very interesting environment. It would be a great and safe place to take the children . All in all, a really nice place to visit, and for those who like the outdoors, there are other things to do, apart from tea and coffee.

Me and my girlfriend decided to visit today, I had a hot dog she had a tea and cheesy chips, the waitress was a little rude when we ordered but nothing too bad. We then waited 40 minutes for her chips, then an extra 20 for my food, the tea was over 45 minutes for TEA! It tasted horrid also the waitress literally threw the food across the table, and the hot dog didn't look edible. They were a little busy but nothing that they couldn't handle they didn't need to be so rude! Was a shame as we had heard such god things about the place

Rather than cook for nine we opted for this cafe. We arrived mid morning in a car park with dedicated parking spaces for cafe users. A very sunny day, first decision, to eat outside or in. The outside area was clean and stoutly furnished. We chose inside and found a very bright eating area furnished with tables for four. One side was a south facing, complete wall of windows .each of these was fitted with user friendly sun blinds. Our order for full English breakfasts rolls were taken and we were advised of a slight delay as everything was cooked to order. Whilst waiting we enjoyed wiews over the lakes and men fishing. Various combinations of all things used in a breakfast arived and was greatly appreciated. A very clean cafe, but if you are prissy be warned dogs are allowed. It is a base for walkers after all. Very pleasant and attentive staff. We shall go again.

Nipped in there for a Strawberry Frapp. The place wasn't all that busy and was clean and tidy. The young lady who made my drink was polite and lovely to chat to. I think her name was Zoe. Very well presented and my drink was spot on. Its always nice for staff to chat with customers when they are not busy and Zoe did exactly that. Made the customer service she provided very special. Now for the negative. The young man on the till. I found his attitude to be quite intolerable. All he wanted to do was get me through the till as quickly as possible so he could answer the ringing phone. Wasn't polite at all. I got the impression he may have been the manager of the store. I got the impression that he much prefer to go off and complete other tasks, rather that serve customers.

Date night for food and cinema, followed by a trip to Creams for dessert. I'd never been before, but this won't be my last visit! I had the Mint doughnut with a scoop of Mint Choc Chip ice cream on the side and my partner had the Kinder Bueno crepe. Both well presented and tasted even better. If you'd never been before like me, go as soon as you can!

Its basically a young persons Bistroteque but Sunday Lunchtime is given over to the older fans with the revived popularJazz venue transfered from the Eagle. Jazz has been thriving in Rochester for over 50 years with headline players sourced from Ronnie Scotts amongst others. It fits surprisingly well with great support from the owner. Best of all is a wide selection of classic bottled real ales all at reasonable prices. IMHO a great live music. 1-4 pm Sundays - BTW no food Sundays

Perfect Poached Eggs. We both had Eggs Benedictine which was nicely presented + had lovely gammon ham. It was very tasty + we would definitely eat here again. Kirsty behind the bar was very welcoming. She was a very capable barmaid, she was the only 1 serving but was calm + not flustered when there was a queue. I had to report 1 of the toilets being in a terrible mess. Kirsty apologised + said she would address the matter immediately + that she was sorry I had to see that. Previously if I have ever had to report a toilet needs attention in other shops or stores it is brushed off + hardly acknowledged. So well done Kirsty, the best service I have received in a very long time…..
