The Claughton Hotel in Wirral

Just popped in for one drink. Nice place but.... they'd had a leak and there was lots of black mould in one area of the pub.

My Nephew visited this Pub. One local was giving him abuse and started a fight with him. Then two of his mates joined. Landlady chucked them out but also chucked my nephew out even though the lad threatened to see him outside. My Nephew now has Two Metal plates in his Broken jaw and a splint in his Broken nose,as all three set about him and his friend. Instead of calling the Police or allowing to call his Mother she had no care for him even though her daughter pleaded not to chuck him out. Disgusting!!

My son was assaulted in the pub and chucked out by the landlady when she knew he would be in danger only to be assaulted again. Zero duty of care.

It's not a bad watering hole. It can be a little intimidating as some of the locals find it so homely you feel a little out of depth. But, that being said as I've got older I've found as soon as you engage people they are really not bad and I've found it freindly and relaxed at the same time you can get going with somone and play some darts. Great for social characters, maybe not so much for introverts.

Good pint of Guinness , local pub with good amenities all around , dog friendly and good atmosphere.

A good place to watch the football etc. Good value drinks but could do with some craft ales.

It's such a shame you can't get hot drinks or food here. The staff are lovely, and this pub has so much potential that they really could handle.

Just been refurbished nice local, big on sport. I would have given it 5 stars but no real ale available, also no food availability.

Very nice pub. Usual, pool table, darts, loads of TVs and a few fruit machines. All in all, one on our list of pubs to visit.

Great atmosphere, staff are lovely, will definitely be going back.

Great pub but wish they served food x

This is a really pleasant locals pub. Staff & locals are genuinely friendly & welcoming so I plan on visiting again sometime soon & I'll take pics but today was way too grey & wet for that. Descent beer selection (incl Worthingtons). Sizeable outside drining area with a covered smoking area which is much appreciated by those of us nicotine addicts who resent standing in the rain & made to feel like social leppers. Spacious pub that is comfy, cosey, clean & well kept.

Nice friendly welcome and I was allowed to put my bike inside for safety. Nice beer garden with outdoor tvs.

Not a bad place. But COVID19 gets in the way of everything at the moment; and I wish I could enjoy myself more than I did, instead of having the staff use my contactless card to pay whilst I waited for it, and my pint. Usually 5* They do have an order & pay app, but it doesn't seem to work, so I'm told...

Great local pub, doing great with social distancing guidelines and super friendly staff.

All sport you can need, friendly staff, good beer, good prices.

Visited for a quick drink at beginning of night out. Staff were really friendly and welcoming, beer was good and nice decor.

Always been my local, friendly people but needs updating

Bar staff are ok if you are a regular customer. Standing at the bar nearly 10 mins but people coming up to bar after you getting served first. It was very busy but good staff should have an idea who is next .

Nice pub, friendly bar staff and smart interior with big screen sports and plenty of room for busy days. Decent pool table, again, in a decent space.
