Amazing pub with an even better Thai restaurant tucked hidden away inside. Great homely food, fast friendly service and most importantly great quality! The atmosphere is very lively!

Cool Pub to visit and split the G! Good crowd! Lots of interesting people. A true must visit when in London.

Historic Pub with Character – Just Skip the Prosecco The Churchill Arms has an iconic picture-perfect curb appeal, especially in the summer. Unfortunately, we visited in March, but it still gave off great British pub vibes. Inside was just as interesting, with toby jugs hanging from the exposed beams and mementoes everywhere, including an Irish post box. I was looking forward to my drink, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. I asked for Prosecco, just something light and refreshing, the Bartender handed me a dirty glass and a very cheap-looking Prosecco in a mini bottle, leaving me to open and pour it myself. What a letdown. We finished our drinks and decided to eat elsewhere, having been underwhelmed by the service. Visit the Churchill Arms if you want a quick drink and soak in the atmosphere. It's a British Pub I won't be rushing back to.

Para piorar, pedi uma cerveja Guinness e estava filmando a garçonete tirar a cerveja da torneira. Ela disse para eu não filmar, sendo que eu já tinha registrado vídeos parecidos com outros dois garçons. Apaguei o vídeo na frente dela, mas me senti extremamente constrangido. Como se eu estivesse filmando ela ao invés do meu copo. Enfim, não recomendo e não voltarei.

We visited The Churchill Arms and managed to get a table for two without a reservation, which was a plus. The food was okay, and the prices were still acceptable. However, our experience was somewhat disappointing. One of the older waiters was not very friendly—it was clear that he wasn’t enjoying his job, which affected the atmosphere. Additionally, the restaurant desperately needs a deep clean. While the decorations are certainly unique, many of them are covered in dust or even rusting, which makes the place feel neglected. It’s not a spot where you’d want to linger; it’s more of a quick eat-and-leave experience. Another downside was the automatic 12.5% service charge added to the bill. While this is common in London, it didn’t feel justified given the service we received. Overall, The Churchill Arms has potential, but it needs better maintenance and friendlier staff to make the experience truly enjoyable.

Convenient location and just walk in on weekdays. The Thai food is fine.

The bar staff here allowed a very drunk man to harass two young women who were sitting at the bar and clearly uncomfortable. As the man pressed himself against one she was actually forced out of her chair. This all happened at the bar inches from a bartender. When asked to intervene the staff declined saying he was local. There are a lot of other pubs to choose from.

Female travelers beware! While at the Churchill Arms I encountered a belligerent drunk as I was ordering. He proceeded to harass two young college students at the bar. As the bartender continued to (over)serve him, I tried to engage them in conversation to interrupt him. He pushed his way between me and the women and stood so close to them that he was pressed against one woman who was forced out of her chair by his nearness. The bartender refused to intervene when I asked because the man was a local, “was just being friendly,” and has a wife. There are lots of nice pubs in London, give this one a miss.

What a local spot! I haven't seen such an atmospheric place for a long time. As soon as you enter, you feel as if you were going back in time. A great place to drink a British beer from the tap. The prices for the golden drink are decent. I will definitely want to come back there to try the famous Thai cuisine available there.

Llegó el viernes por la tarde con un amigo. Teníamos dos de los platos de arroz. Pagó £ 2 extra por la variedad de carnes en ella. Pedí té de jazmín, pero conseguí bolsita de té verde en la taza por £ 4. 15 . ¿Es un precio justo para una bolsita de té en Londres? La comida estaba muy mal cocinada y el arroz machacado era muy difícil de consumir. Esperaba que todo estuviera recién cocinado, pero todo claramente cocinado por la mañana y dejado para guisar durante el resto del día. Me dijeron a la llegada que solo teníamos una hora para comer, pero éramos casi las únicas personas allí. Encantadoras fotos de comida atractiva en otras reseñas aquí, así que quizás tuvimos mala suerte. Si traigo mi propia bolsa de té la próxima vez, me pregunto cuánto agua caliente sería. Entonces no necesitaría acceso a su caja de £ 100. ¿Por qué no ofrecer té de cortesía en lugar de compensar precios escandalosos?

To be honest I was not impressed, the food was somewhat anaemic looking to be fair. Grisly as-well, served by a frosty and sternly looking waitress. Well we tried it.

Really nice staff and food delicious. Quirky Thai restaurant at the back of pub. Been twice, however the second time there were two mice running around under the tables which was slightly perturbing. Probably not their fault. Good value.

Not the most exciting range of beers and very crowded. Went into the restaurant area where there were many empty tables but was ejected by a very rude Asian man who said we couldn’t sit because it’s a Thai restaurant. I went in there thinking it was a pub where this is not how things area done so left a bad impression.

How perfect! Wonderful Thai food, I went close to Christmas and the decorations and lights were absolutely charming. Perfect draft beer, I loved it.

A unique place. You enter a typical English pub. People stand upright with their pints in their hands, you can barely hear each other because of the amount of chatter. But if you walk further, you arrive at the Thai restaurant where it is very quiet. The food is super tasty, although the portions were a bit on the small side. Nevertheless, highly recommended.

Absolutely terrible experience at this Thai restaurant. I’ve been coming here for years, but the food quality has been steadily declining, and the service was among the worst I’ve ever encountered. I won’t be returning, and I sincerely hope they train their staff to treat customers with basic respect and courtesy.

Fantastic place to visit, I'm from Leeds , I visit London regular and always call at the "Church" great atmosphere and the Thai food is to die for.

Dish number 2 was delicious, I forgot the name, I ordered it with little spice 🌶️😅 the atmosphere was super! Only if you eat at the restaurant you can stay for 1 hour, but if you stay to eat at the bar it is unlimited 😃

Uno esperaría que un pub tan icónico fuera británico. La cerveza era buena, pero (por el amor de Dios) por qué un restaurante tailandés. Y un restaurante tailandés muy pobre. Antes de sentarnos nos dijeron que teníamos una hora para ordenar comer y salir. La comida no era buena. El servicio era robótico y aburrido. Pero la comida tailandesa era muy mala. Teniendo en cuenta la ubicación debería haber sido fantástico. Nunca más

Teníamos muchas ganas de tomar una copa en este pub y se veía increíble en la época de Navidad. Todo iluminado e impresionante. No había mesas en la parte delantera del pub, así que nos aventuramos a la parte trasera donde está el restaurante tailandés. Vaya, nunca había experimentado una grosería tan flagrante por parte del personal del restaurante. La señora nos dijo que teníamos ‘condiciones’ si comíamos allí. a) todos tuvimos que pedir al menos una comida principal, NO solo bocadillos, tendríamos que irnos de lo contrario No nos quedaríamos mucho tiempo, máximo de 1 hora Todo dicho sin amabilidad, solo molestia. Todos nos reímos de la grosería de esta mujer. Sinceramente no sé por qué nos alojamos y comimos allí, estábamos muy hambrientos en ese momento, así que nos alojamos. Realmente deberían poner de nuevo la comida tradicional inglesa del pub y conseguir un personal más amable. Nos burlamos de esta señora y nos reímos de su grosería durante el resto de nuestras vacaciones. 4 estrellas para el pub en sí, cero para el restaurante debido al servicio. Pero nos dio una historia divertida para recordar...

The place is super extra, it's worth going even if it's just to have a drink and leave. The food is amazing. We have eaten vegetable rolls (5⭐️), chicken wings (5⭐️) and finally the prawn and meat pad-tai (5⭐️) GREAT, a total blast. The service, however, leaves something to be desired, they have barely listened to us and have practically given us the plates and cutlery so that we can serve ourselves.

The Churchill Arms is a great option after exploring Kensington Palace and Notting Hill. The pub is incredibly eye-catching, both inside and out, with a charming and vibrant atmosphere. One surprising highlight was the Thai food menu, which was a refreshing change from the usual pub fare like fish and chips. The flavors were excellent, and it was a welcome break from the typical pub offerings. Do note that drinks are ordered at one bar, while food is ordered at a separate counter further inside the pub—an interesting setup that worked smoothly.

Lost my wallet on site, the staff kept it in a good place for months, the few notes inside were still there. I recommend!!

I was just having a pint! It's quite busy, the waiters should be more attentive and clean the tables. They were all very dirty from previous clients. The place is very peculiar you can also eat, but Thai food!

Came down to the pub after seeing it on Instagram the atmosphere was really nice, we got served by Isaac and Sofia they were very welcoming and let us try samples of some beers 10/10 service !

A place to enjoy the wide variety of beer 🍺. We tried the Thai food and in my opinion it was very greasy and lacking in seasoning. The place is incredible inside and out, a classic London Pub. Option after walking through nothing hill.

Came for an early dinner before a show. Got the shrimp dumplings to start which were more like shumai and not so great. The curries were decent and proportionately large. Service was a bit rushed - would be nice to sip my drink for a bit before the food came. Pub atmosphere was fun and quirky.

Hands down one of the best pubs in London, decor like that is copied by pubs worldwide but cannot be done. To accumulate the amount of worldly items that the Churchill arms has accumulated takes a very well lived lifetime. Take a bow, thank you for your service. Yours sincerely, Mr Sir

What a gem of a pub, we went mid December, amazing atmosphere, fabulous Thai food and reasonable prices. Would have loved to be there in the evening, once it was dark, as can only imagine how fabulous the outside decs would be.

Delicious Thai food in a really awesome pub. The interior is decorated in a really cool way but the exterior of the pub really steals the show (especially at Christmas time). Have visited twice and thoroughly enjoyed my meal on both occasions. The prices are very reasonable considering the large servings.

Best Pad Thai id ever had. Lovely Australian barmen happy explain different ales on tap. The publican was wonderful and chatted to us about the pub giving us insight to its unique nature. And oh, those Christmas lights - what a dream!

I took a trip to see London and visited several pubs. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this was my favorite! Beautiful atmosphere, cold beer and great service. I will be back whenever I can.

Popped in during our visit to London as my husband had been there in 1997 and wanted to revisit.

Great bar, quirky decor, intriguing locals, tasty quality Thai food, but utterly hopeless girls behind the bar. We watched two young ladies have conversations for 5-10 minutes with their backs turned to the bar. Customers lining up. This form continued for 45min while we stayed. Even whilst serving, they continued their personal conversations with almost zero regard to a customer interaction in the what I would consider a landmark pub. These two are a poor representation of what this establishment can offer.

One of those PUBs in London that you have to visit. Of course, it is usually bursting with people.

The facade is incredible, especially during the Christmas holidays, I recommend at least walking past it to admire the decoration work.

Already packed 30 minutes after opening on a Saturday. Very strange they had run out of Guinness. Lots of memorabilia to look out and good atmosphere. Restaurant was fully booked

Too busy and not worth the price in my opinion. By the way the pad Thai was special. Go there for it and for the spring rolls.

The service of the restaurant is absolutely garbage. Durring the festive period they accept only walk ins and they give you a time slot which they are not following. They have given a table to a group in front of us just because they said someone had recommended the place while we were waiting for more than one hour. Completely disappointed and disgusted.

It is very picturesque. Everything was very nice but too many people inside and outside. It is almost impossible to get a place to sit and even standing is uncomfortable because there are so many people. Try to go at a less crowded time

Been in before and will definitely go in again, I was in London for Christmas songs went in on Christmas Day for a bottle of champagne, I love Pol Roger and they sell it as a very reasonable price (so thank you for that) they normally have a wonderful noodle kitchen on the side so you can eat as well if you want, Christmas Day the food was not available, understandably so, I will be back for new years…, Staff were great, thanks the the Australia guy - forgot his name x

Interesting pub famous for its lights during Christmas (which come on around 4:30). More touristy so the crowd comes in waves and provides come opportunity to get a seat. While it's very British, there is a nod to Ireland dotted around.

Visited Churchhill Arms for a historic pub that just happens to have Thai food, which we tried their Phad thai and 2 pints of Fullers beer. Fills up quickly, so show up early.

Love this pub. Make an annual trip with my friend every Christmas to see the trees and the lights. Always rammed, but a good atmosphere and really tasty Thai food. Would highly recommend booking ahead if you want to eat there as it does get busy. P.S. please bring back mulled wine in December!

Traveled to London to spend Christmas in the city. Saw this pub blowing up on ig so decided to spend and evening there and couldn’t have felt more welcome. The bartender was Isaac and even though they were super busy, my guy was flying around serving everyone with a smile. Top tier customer service. Best part is that I didn’t even know they had Thai food and it was incredible. Highly recommend regardless of season.

I was clear that I wanted to see it mainly because of the facade decorated at Christmas and it really leaves you speechless, it is a visit that you cannot miss, there is a lot of atmosphere.

We came in for the pub experience was pleasantly surprised with the great Thai food! The Kao Pas was amazing!! The pub’s atmosphere was also very cool!
