Came here today for some food and for the wacky warehouse! Our server was Maia, she was super cheerful and very kind! Food came out fast and drinks arrived quickly too! Would recommend to anyone who has little ones, family and couples!

Food was delicious and quick. Server was polite and friendly! Would definitely come again for an evening meal 🙂

Have been here a with family 3 times recently after being recommended for somewhere with soft play for an enthusiastic toddler! Food has always been spot on, and staff in the soft play are always so great with the children, Henry was fab last week!

Love my weekly meet up with my girlfriend and her granddaughter who loves the play area. Henry is a delight and looks after us well. My friend’s granddaughter loves her face painting and she does a lovely butterfly for her each week.

We visited the Whacky Warehouse a few times and Henri has been amazing! So good with the kids and always so helpful!

A massive thankyou to all the staff today. We booked the function room and ordered the buffet option for 25 people and i still ended up bringing loads back with me. A big thankyou to jodie for helping me sort out the booking and a massive thankyou to Henry for making a hard day a little easier on our kids by keeping them entertained in the wacky warehouse.

Fantastic experience at Churchills tonight. Haven't been for a few years as the service was previously a bit slow and always ran out of food. But tonight we had a 3 course meal all served within an hour. It was relatively empty at the time though. Absolutely delicious 10 out of 10 for every course. Amazing Nachos, best I've ever had with loads of sour cream 😋, the katsu chicken is to die for and quite a large portion too. Best tasting curry sauce EVER! The staff are so friendly and so helpful. The pub itself had a warm and friendly atmosphere and looks great. We sat in the middle. Will definitely be coming here more often after tonight's experience!

We will definately be returning! We haven't been here in years because the place really went down hill, but its had a complete turn over of new staff since March a brand new chef and team in the kichen and its made an incredible difference! We went as a party of 8 for the Festive Dinner menu and we couldnt fault it! The service by Jodie and Sarah was very attentive and the food was incredibly tasty, well cooked and plentiful, could barely manage the delicious dessert! Also great value for money. Would highly recommend!

We had Sarah serve us today and she went above and beyond. They were so considerate and every member of staff we met was very polite, welcoming and accomodating. The food was amazing. the best roast in swindon by far. everything is delicious, cooked well (no overcooked, soggy veg!!) and is seriously good value for money. the staff are always attentive, friendly, and welcome you with a smile. a really tasty sunday roast washed down with a beautiful refreshing cocktail.. what more could you want! thank you to the team at the churchill. spot on

We ate here twice while visiting. The first time was pretty good the second time left a bit to be desired. Order the chicken kabobs and skip the steak.

Following our stay at The Churchill Bedrooms, we had free breakfast included with our stay. We headed over one morning to be greeted by a lovely lady with glasses (sorry we can't remember your name!) She showed us to our table, where to find the continental breakfast foods and then took our order for cooked. Food came out fairly quickly, being served hot also. Food is what you would expect from a chain restaurant, however the peace and quiet atmosphere of the pub in the morning was enough for the experience to be pleasant.

Good parking, lots of tables / seating. Great and very friendly staff. Caters for families so chance of noisy children. Large menu with excellent choices and tasty food . Will definitely visit again

Beautiful steak! Always cooked just how I've asked! Plenty of ways to customise your steak dinner to how you want, highly recommend the BBQ burnt ends.

We popped in here after collecting a new car- wasn’t a planned stop. It was a lovely sunny day & we had a long way to travel back to Nottingham. Upon entering the premises the staff were super friendly & acknowledged us straight away. We were offered menus & told we could sit wherever we wanted ( always a bonus.) We were immediately told what was out of stock. Before sitting down we went to the bar & ordered drinks, the bar lady again was very friendly & polite. She re read the order back to us (as we changed our mind and ordered food whilst at the bar- to save time.) The food came presented well and cooked well. Overall a good experience, there is a little patio area outside for those who prefer the out doors. The premises has ample parking as they share the parking lot with a hotel next door. Toilets were well maintained and clean. Wheelchair accessible from the front entrance.

Reception staff and Accommodation very good .Good sized room, very clean and comfortable beds. Food selection ,quality and portion size good. Pub is very clean just one gripe ….why have televisions in restaurant areas . People go out to get away from the news and TV . Fine in a bar area but not a restaurant.

Ordered 2 fillet stakes medium rare, with king prawns. Got it almost well done, and the 3 pieces of that "king pawns" all 3 were not bigger than my thumbnail. ( I have very shor nails :) ) 1 Tomahawk that was.....a shame, mostly bone. The service was very good, but I went there for food . Not for my taste , not good for price quality!!! 😕 no alcohol, just 3 sodas.

We have stayed at the Churchill hotel many times and eaten there almost every time. Always a good experience which why we return. Jodie served us again in the restaurant and as always is great. My wife is Gluten Free and their GF offerings are good.

The manager tonight gave me great service all night. We had a great time drinking in the bar and the manager Callie helped us in anyway she could. Will definitely be back!!!

We were part of a large party staying as part of a funeral party. Great service, cheerfstaff inspire of many in the party having different allergies

Absolutely awful evening. Starter went back 3 times before being cooked correctly. Then main course came out as we were eating the starter. The main course which was Salmon with a salad was like rubber, so overcooked. Sent back and not offered anything else at one point until we asked if we could look at the menu. Upon this happening the manager who to me is incompetent said to another member of staff in a very sarcastic way. What are they ordering now to complain about. With that I question the manager who went bright red and walked away. Never ordered anything else and will never visit again.

Lovely sunday roast for 5 adults and 1 child. The food was tasty, hot, well portioned and reasonably priced. Service was excellent, Sarah was a fantastic waitress...friendly, efficient and nothing was too much trouble.... outstanding service. Our granddaughter loved playing in the soft play area afterwards, grandad (me) did his best to keep up!

I had an all day breakfast here with a zero percent old mout cider which I didn't know existed. There was plenty of parking and a wheelchair accessible entrance. The seating was comfortable but when I visited the toilets had an air lock in the system which made a huge humming noise. However, the staff were accomodating and friendly and the service was very quick. No issues with the food it was a very good quality. All in all I would go again it was very good. Looking forward to letting the kids loose on the wacky warehouse soft play. This needs to be booked in advance as it is very busy.

Always a great atmosphere when I take my children to the wacky warehouse, it’s the only place they like to go to but also they have a good rapport with the staff member called Henry who it seems to be never such a bother wether it’s entertaining or serving us with food and drink and is always so polite and respectful so kudos to the Churchill for a lovely member of staff who is always so positive and a smile when you walk through the door

Beautiful atmosphere with lots of parking and friendly staff. Foods are amazing, specially their burgers.!

Sarah, our server, was unfailingly helpful and the food arrived promptly. The food itself was excellent and the portions were generous. The only suggestion we can make is that the toilets could do with a little bit of a refresh.

Honestly, I do not know what’s happened to this place It has gone so far downhill it is actually a shame. The service is really bad. The food is really bad. This has gotten worse. The staff attitude have gotten worse I find. We have been there twice on two separate occasions we have had to have a food refunded and staff are most often blasé about allergies because if you ask him about something, they would just shove your tablet in the face and say self expanse do it but they don’t really care less then get manager to deal with your order like most places. Do you get given a tablet make your own decisions and then that’s it like I find as well like the menu options can be limited and if you say I just don’t want any of that on it while you still can run the risk of having an allergy Shock, but if you move the item that contains the allergy will not be taken away to risk as well I would’ve thought that would be something as the same having worked in restaurants previously, I have honestly given up on this place it is such a shame as it could be run as a really great pub restaurant and play barn But it just needs someone who has the time and energy to give the staff a bit of momentum like if you’re not busy sitting or everyone in one section so it’s all crowded together is not really something I would like like we asked to move into another table area. U2 where we were the table that we got given was too crowded and we were sort of met with dirty looks and we didn’t get moved and we said no everyone’s eating here tonight. It just seems like no one cares. It is honestly such a shame.

Very happy went here today for the first time will definitely go again The only thing I will say is the coleslaw wasn’t great but apart from that everything was perfect

We visited The Churchill pub and grill just outside of wootton bassett on the weekend. Food was great as always and the atmosphere was great too. Service was amazing..... thanks to Callie who did an amazing job making sure we had everything we needed. Will call again soon

Came in for dinner with my partner, wow plesently surprised by the fast service ! Food was amazing I had chicken/ribs board my partner had the Ribs board was absolutely delicious. We both ordered deserts 1 being cheese cake * the other Apple crumble. Lovely to see the main menu back on! Would definitely recommend, see you again soon. H & N

A great family pub on the outskirts of Royal Wootton Bassett. The pub is large and even comprises a soft play to keep the children entertained whilst the parents relax with a drink. The food is of good quality and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The pub also has an over 18 area for adults who want to drink and relax. They have a good range of beers and wines Peroni being my personal favourite. There is also a hotel to the side of the pub if you need a place to stay. With Bassett not been the easiest place to park the large car park makes life easy for the family.

Very poor service, extremely slow and unorganised. Food very poor standard and came out either over cooked or others cold.

Gutted to be giving this rating, it's so nice to have a place with a soft play to meet friends and have dinner. I truly wish I had better things to say. We went for breakfast on Sunday morning, we had been before and I had remembered enjoying the food but this time the quality seemed much worse. My daughter's meal was a single small pancake with overdone bacon chopped on top. My eggs Benedict, drowning in the sauce which made everything soggy. The smell from the toilets in the soft play area was unbelievably strong, I'd noticed this when we'd visited before but thought maybe it was just an 'off day'. To go back a year later and still be hit with the smell of urine the second we walked in is so disappointing. On the positive side the two women serving us were both delightful and really happy to help and interact with the kids.

Was really excited to visit here.. grandsons birthday in soft play area meant I could book a table for Sunday dinner after.... had heard very good things about the menu and food so couldn't wait.. Upon arrival for food we were told some things off the menu as sold out, not a problem.. also told there was a wait on the food due to an oven breaking.. again I didn't mind (these things happen).. however, it took ages for our server to come take just our drink orders, we ordered food at the same time as we had enough time to prepare and I was super happy to order the roast beef...10 mins after placing the order our server informed me they'd run out...I opted for the turkey as I don't like pork... food was relatively quick from then, and really did look the part... And they say looks can be deceiving 😬.. The huge Yorkshire pudding, was stone cold and rubbery.. the carrots and broccoli (also cold) were under cooked.. (not el dante) almost raw... and for some reason the turkey had a slimy sensation...(I am without doubt, fussy.. hands up) but this was complete disappointment. Upon rushing out to pay the bill, the bar man was very busy and we were stood for almost 10 mins waiting to pay, we could see directly into the kitchen where 4 other dinners sat.. before we got there, and they hadn't been taken to the customer's as we left, there was also a huge tray of Yorkshire puddings sat above them for the whole period... I'm sorry..I had such high expectations due to word of mouth and previous reviews but this was a waste of my time and money... I would have complained but staff were few and far between and no one bothered to come and check if the meals were ok... not their fault, they were definitely understaffed and running around like blue a flies... This is not a place I would revisit for food.. The kids play area was great, and as mentioned staff were lovely.. when you could find them👎👎

Our waitress Sarah was fabulous and friendly. Made sure we were happy with our food and went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met.

Went for a pleasant meal but was ruined by the manager, he was questioning some poor bloke about his cannabis use. The poor guy looked so embarrassed but he still explained that it was legal use and showed something on his phone The manager refused to listen to him and the poor guy was very flustered. Clearly more training is needed in this area as he was singled out and he was correct in what he was saying. The manager refused to apologize for his behaviour and that he had done anything wrong.I won't be returning here ever again.

We stopped there mid way along the M4 to London. Friendly staff, food was good. Our baby loved the soft play area. The baby change/accessible toilet really needs a clean though.

I've visited here a few times with my children and friends to their wacky warehouse softplay. We're able to reserve tables online in the softplay, and have food and drinks at our tables whilst the kids play. Grace was really attentive and helpful. On previous visits the soft play attendant has even played games with the children which was definitely above and beyond. Unfortunately I didn't know her name, but it was very much appreciated.

I was staying at your hotel. Pub is very nice for an evening pint before bedtime.

Didn't have food, passing on route to Swindon and called for one drink. Not happy to find my 10% off drinks did not work at this Greene King pub!! Looks a nice place, clean and tidy and was fairly busy at 1.45pm.

Had Xmas day menu. Just need to be blunt, food was awful. The turkey dinner was a shocker!!! Luke warm, frozen veg, couldn't tell if it was a roasted potato due to texture and blonde colour!!! It was like a school dinner but then again my school dinners were better than this. The dessert xmas pudding was a long thin rectangle , looked like a slice of meatloaf?? Very bizarre. So for the cost very disappointed. The staff however were lovely and very attentive no issues there at all just the standard of food just not good enough. I would go back for a drink as atmosphere lovely.

Absolutely amazing Christmas lunch. Milly was amazing, always there if we needed anything. Made it fun for the children. Atmosphere and food were perfect. Can't wait to book for next year. Thank you for an amazing Christmas lunch.

I came in for a meal with my boyfriend yesterday evening. We ordered the Hunters Chicken and Fajitas which came so hot and tasty! Millie was our server and she was so happy to be there, nothing was too much, she recommended the Fajitas and we are so glad we listened! Came in here for a meal with my family last week and had such fantastic service from Millie and Jodie, both so friendly and happy to help with any requests including our Nut Allergy. The food came out piping hot and full of flavour. Lots of empty plates and happy faces. Great job everyone!

Food took ages. We cancelled desserts after over an hour and quater of waiting. Said ours was coming but people who ordered after got theirs Drinks order wasn't right. One order with allergy had the onion rings touching other food when requested to go in separate bowl so someone else could have. 1st waitress was lovely but rest of the staff not. Manager was very rude when we complained about the desserts! Thet said it was because of Christmas parties, so obviously general pub goes are not welcome at those times!!

Jodie was our host, we had excellent service, with just the right time between courses.

Went for a group dinner service was awful long wait for my main course only got it after 2 complaints and most of my group had finished their dinner then a long wait at the end to pay the bill

We had a lovely time in the soft play area hosted by the wonderful Henry. The food, drinks, service and of course soft play was all spot on. We'll be back!

Lovely helpful staff and value for money food/menu. This was our second visit and is a great local place for our family to meet up. It was quite cool in the restaurant, especially for our elderly parents but for the rest of us too, so our only hope would be a warmer environment next time.

Had a really lovely lunchtime break with the wife, we shared Camembert cheese with a side of chips and a pint. Perfect.

Food was delicious and the presentation was excellent, especially considering it’s a mid budget pub. Service was top notch! On a previous visit both our kids loved the play area and was worth every penny. Will be going back for sure.

8oz steak was ordered more like a 4oz and so burnt. The fish over cooked. Last time I came here was 20 years ago and maybe see me again in about 20 years never again that’s all I can say

The hotel was kind of like a Premier Inn, but much cosier and more well appointed. The breakfast was delicious and had a couple of decent vegan options. We also had an evening meal in the pub, and my gosh, was the food good! Decent value too. The wait staff were also friendly and accommodating for vegan options.

Had food and drink here and was looked after by Millie. She’s great. Very welcoming and friendly. Definitely a people person. Great job Millie!

I came with my 2 boys for a bite to eat after school and for them to let off some steam in the soft play which is a great addition to the pub. Henry was very welcoming and provided excellent service, going above and beyond, and also managing to keep the kids entertained in the soft play with some fun games which they loved.
