Not long had our food the whole burger box meal was missing phoned shop no answer so food that was delivered was getting cold then driver knock on door with the forgotten burger box meal which was cold disappointed as we always get our food this shop .....

Nice food chips looked too pale

This place opened and it seemed the place to go, the food was very nice indeed. It's seems, like alot of places when their footfall increases they tend to have fallen backwards. Chips are now bits of potato and I ordered a large fish and a large chips, my partner a medium fish and chips. The large fish isn't a large fish anymore. Her medium was the same size as my large. You get a very long fish but very thin! We laughed about it so it was money well spent in that regard, we'll never go back. Seems you just have to find the new chip shops that are keen to impress in the beginning and then keep hunting. Real shame though it did have potential.

I love this chip shop. I pop in for some chips and gravy before I go into Lidl‘s so I don’t feel hungry and the chips are lovely. I had it delivered for the first time today. Very quick service hot tasty and planned on Ordering it again tomorrow

How do you score the atmosphere in a chip shop? Friendly staff? Yes! Clean? Yes! We visit this chip shop once a month as we pick up a meal deal for our daughter who lives in supported living. We like to eat with her and I absolutely love their fish! It's the best chippy Fish in Plymouth! The chips are great too but oh, their fish! Cooked perfectly with a nice crispy batter. I won't eat fish from anywhere else now! I'm so pleased to find out that they have started to deliver to our area of Plymouth so I don't have to wait a month to eat it!

I have visited this chippy several times a year for several years and not had a bad meal yet. The staff are always polite and pleasant and helpful. I think this is the best chippy in Plymouth, and I have visited quite a few!

Too many young girls with little or no manners,serving their divvy little mates first. I love their fish and I traveled for it but plenty of good chippies near ernesettle the village at crownhill for one.

Ordered the food at 355 pm and got it delivered at 410 pm, I know I live locally but wow what service, will definitely use them again

First and last time I go here, the food was the worst I have ever eaten.. in fact didn’t eat. The fish was dry and batter soggy and the chips had the strangest taste, my husband had a so called steak and kidney pie with hardly any filling and so dry there was no moisture in it at all. Read the reviews saying fish was cooked to order but mine had been sitting after being cooked way before I got there. Don’t waste your money

Doesn’t even deserve one star. Possibly the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Chips were barely cooked and soggy fish had no flavour. The order was repeated to me when I ordered also when I picked it up and still did not receive items that I paid for. Probably because the lady serving me was to busy staring at me looking like she would rather be anywhere else on the planet.

Popped in here on my way to my sisters, picked up fish&chips and a potato surprise, large battered sausage and curry sauce. Chips we're dry, potato surprise was dry and chewy, curry sauce, was quite weak.

Really good chunky chips, fairly priced (but not cheap), good spicy curry sauce, the large cod is huuuuge and has perfect thin batter. My mister said he really really enjoyed his too. Will always return here.

Really nice to have a chip shop that isn’t overpriced nowadays. Affordable and lovely quality, I particularly like the chicken, and at 3 strips for just over £1 you can’t beat it.

We had cod and chips 1/12 about 6pm. Only one person ahead of me when I got there. They were queuing out the door when I left! There were also lots of orders going out of the door to be delivered. I am not surprised at all because our cod and chips were delicious 😋

Chips are great! The batter on the fish however was a sloppy, wet mess on the bottom- slightly disappointing for a first visit. Not sure if the fish was cooked from frozen which may explain why it was soggy once it sat in the box- only live at the top of the hill so wasn't in there long! Who knows. Might give it another go at some point.

1st time using The chippy..we totally enjoyed our meal..fish was lovely batter was light.chips for me were perfect..we ordered a portion of onion rings we were totally surprised they were huge slices of Spanish onion in a crispy batter..we will definitely be back.

Thought I'd treat myself to cod and chips . Haven't had any -- in a long time . So it was going to be a treat for myself. " The Cod had hardly any batter on it "..!... There were a few frazzled pieces near the tail. So that was big let down. The chips were ok... So I don't think I will be going back again for along time

#1 Chippy in my area! Great prices and food is always cooked fresh plus staff are always trying to help. Had this place many times and always loved it with the friends/family. Recently I went in for 3x family feast and the food was above perfect but we had a problem with the chicken burger being stripe burgers. But the owner gave me a bell and sorted this out with no hassle which we all appreciate. Many thanks Chippy and please stay safe and keep smashing it 👍 People make mistakes but takes a real great restaurant to understand and solve it with ease.

Really, Really, disappointed,,ordered a large kebab ,a sausage and chips meal for my son ,,,the kebab well ,the pitta bread came in it's own bag not even cut let alone actually having meat in it, meat wasn't exactly delicious, but ok,,jalapeno bites totally rank ,,,,NEVER Again am I spending my money there not a chance.

Our local chippy was closed this evening so took a drive to ‘The Chippy’ So glad we did they are lush. Cod was meaty and fresh, batter light n crispy, chips really tasty. I’m wondering if they cook in dripping instead of oil. So tasty!!!! We’ll definitely be back!!!! Staff were great too xx

At last - I've found the best fish and chips in Plymouth !!! Lovely happy people serving and they have a brilliant small fish £2.95 and small chips 'n gravy for £l - just enough for a pensioner to enjoy without breaking the bank. Great batter on good sized juicy fresh cod and the chips and gravy are just sooo tasty. Also they are open long hours,, so there is never a large que. Will return again and again for sure - and Cod bless 'em !
