The Chippery , Fish and Chip Restaurant in Carmarthenshire

Have bought fish and chips here several times. The fish is perfectly cooked in batter and the chips are just right. The portions both of fish and chips are large. I honestly can recommend this shop.

The Chippery is your classic British Fish and Chips shop, complete with brilliant staff and a lovely selection of food and drinks. The ladies on shift who served our party of 10 (who had also been drinking) did so with ease and efficiency, and even humored me when I asked if they serve "Sauságé du battéúr". The food was brilliant, very hot and the perfect amount of salt. Lovely place for a quick takeaway fish and chips with seats if you'd like a quick chip shop date.

One pie and chips isn't £14.80. I've just got my fish and chips and checked prices. This is my regular fish and chippery and I know for a fact a single pie and large chips is not £14.80 to the person who has complained about this. You are either lying or you bought two pies and chips because that is the exact price for two not one. To the person who has complained about this. Food prices ridiculous £14.80 for one pie and chips and 1 gravey over small chips ... Talk about over priced

Very impressed by the Covid Organisation when collecting our order. Good first class highly recommend the cod and chips, very, very tasty and exceptional portion sizes!

Couldn't taste chips or fish for the oil that taste like it hasn't been changed in years. Worst chips I ever bought, though that is just my opinion, not normally fussy, but literally couldn't eat it, that's why I wrote this review, such a smame.i hope the owner reads this and tries the chips.

Great chippy and thank you so much for opening, safely, on Thurs, Fri and Sat in lockdown...mmmm such a treat! Looking fwd to eating in the cosy cafe at the back now!

Very nice chippy. There's a few tables so can eat in but no toilets. It cost £20 for us as a family of four. Kids portions are very good sizes would probably do most adults.

The fish was beautiful but the batter was very greasy and my chips were swimming in grease. My husband had the opposite problem- no one put greaseproof paper in his so had to peel his food from the paper rendering most of it inedible. Really disappointed

Great little find, we found this shop while passing llandeilo. It is very clean, friendly and offers the best fish and chips ever! Chips are not greesy like other places. It is a lovely little busy, well organised shop with a great sit down area. Try the corned beef rissoles they are amazing !

Was working in the town so stopped to get some lunch. I ordered the jumbo sausage in batter and chips, the jumbo sausage in batter needed to be microwaved ( should’ve sent alarm bells) and when I got back to my vehicle to each my lunch it absolutely stank of grease. I managed two chips before feeling sick and giving up. It’s a real shame as I stopped here last year for lunch too and I remember it being very nice on that occasion. Not sure if it’s changed hands but I will not be back!

Our fish were cooked to order and took a reasonable time for a busy shop.There was no breaded fish option. When they arrived I was surprised that there was no facility to pay by card - and lucky I had enough cash. On unwrapping the food a few minutes later, it was swimming in grease, with drips from the bottom of the packages. The batter was good, but so very greasy it couldn't be finished. Fish tasty, well cooked and chips OK.This shop would be great if they offered breaded and drained the food better.

Visited here early on a Friday evening and it was busy but we still didn't have to wait long to be served. The food was cooked fresh, the fish tasted really good and the chips were good quality and not greasy. We had take away but there is a sit down area at the back that we will try next time.

Friendly chip shop with takeaway and cafe.Try the Rissoles they are perfect. They have 3 types, Corned beef, cheese and onion and turkey stuffing and cranberry. They are perfect. Chips are wow. Fish is brilliant as well. Pineapple fritters wow.The rissoles are homemade.Very nice staff, very clean cafe.No toilets but there are some in the car park including accessible.One step into cafe and also in to shop. Very clean.Frequent daytime bus service.
