Very disappointing visit. The food was cold. The portions were extremely small in fact they were tiny. The service was ok. The staff who served us were friendly. No condiments on the table, I had to ask for salt and was given 3 little paper sachets for 5 people. The soy sauce was watered down. It was expensive £22.99 per person for what was supposed to be unlimited but you have to order on the app at your table and it kept telling us we had ordered too many dishes for our party size. The soup was tasteless and 5 spoonfuls and it was gone. We will NOT be returning to the chinese buffet. What was quite noticed by people sitting around us was the app tells you not to order too many dishes. Only order what you can eat. If they don’t want you ordering more than you want then don’t advertise as unlimited buffet as it miss definitely is not.

We have been regular customers at TCB in Speke since it first opened and have been extremely satisfied with both the food and service. Having visited today I was appalled at how we were spoken to by the manager on duty. When trying to order our food via the app we kept receiving an error message. Due to this we placed the order several times until it eventually went through. We were then approached by the manager who literally 'told us off' in front of our children for not reporting the error and for re submitting our order. Whilst the food was still exceptional and the waiting staff as attentive as always this has left us with a negative view of what was one of our favourite restaurants. The manager that is normally on duty is a credit by the way (dark hair with a Liverpool accent 😊).

Seriously is this place still open !! Thought I’d try it once again what a mistake, should of realised when it had only 3 other diners in. Still being served by silly robots with pathetic portions of food at a high price, why do they continue to call themselves a buffet. Please save your money eat cheaper and better else where. They must realise how much profit they are loosing ! Or are they ? I remember this place used to be constantly heaving you couldn’t get a place unless booked most days. Staff are always friendly

We visited on a busy Friday evening and were pleasantly surprised. Fab service, food portions are small but ideal for choosing lots of different options - if you want more of the same just order more than one portion. Food was steaming hot and arrived quickly. All the staff were super friendly and efficient and dishes were removed from the table once finished really quickly. The robot 🤖 made us all smile. Highly recommend- we’ll definitely be visiting again.

Tedious way to order food the app is not great. People just want to oder there food and enjoy the meal. From other reviews its obvious that the ordering system and small portions is not really liked. I would bet this place will be closed soon. The food was bland with little flavour! Go back to basics !

The restaurant is lovely, the food area is clean as are the self contained toilets. The table we sat at was badly marked, the small chair opposite the booth was wobbly but otherwise the seating area was fine. The novelty value of the cat robots and ordering what you like by app was great for my girls, 14 and 6 but the food was pretty terrible. We had several starters which was the best bit although the Thai crackers were super fishy. The mains were unvaried, the tofu unrecognisable, the egg rice was suspiciously bright yellow, the sweet and sour chicken cardboardy, the chocolate fudge cake was like wallpaper paste and the drinks very expensive. This was our 2nd visit. I’m not sure what’s happened but it’s unlikely we’ll be back. Shame!

Was served a vegetable wrap and a garlic mushroom dish - both had meat in by mistake. Response was Hi, as discussed in our email communication, both incidents should have been avoided but neither of the dishes you mention were classed as 'vegetarian' as we specifically don't offer vegetarian dishes, due to our preparation processes. So having described themselves as vegetarian friendly their official response is that they are not vegetarian friendly. Confused ? - I définitely am , luckily I won’t be going back. Neither should anyone else

Please don't waste your money or time! Food was just, in best terms Vile. Horrible horrible horrible! Avoid anything salt and pepper, curry and definitely the chilli beef. Deserts, were awfull and ice cream machine has most certainly not been cleaned for a long time as you could smell the stench of it before even reaching your mouth. Would avoid at all cost. I Do not know how its still open for business!! Staff aswell, Im sorry to say were very annoying! As soon as you finished a bowl or paused for a minute they were on your table hovering for more empty dishes, kept interrupting our conversations multiple times and touching bowls that were fine. It was just very off putting and I think such bad table manners.

Walked out of this restaurant after they served me two out of two supposed vegetarian dishes contaminated with meat. First one was a vegetable wrap which contained small pieces of chicken which luckily I Spotted. Sent this back and started on the next dish which was supposedly mushroom in garlic sauce. Horrified to find a lump of beef in it which I managed to spit out. Didn’t stay to eat anything else 2/2 Is enough for me. Emailed their customer services dep. this is their response “The first mistake was due to a miscommunication in a very noisy environment and the second due to cross contamination with a small amount of meat in the vegetable frying basket” It’s all well and good having fancy robots delivering the food front of house but the humans in the kitchen cannot uphold basic standards and fundamental controls. Based on this I would shudder to see their attitude to hygiene / allergies etc.

Went here with grandkids as a treat to get served by robots, we where served once by a robot and the remainder of times by waiting staff, when I spoke to manager about how disappointed kids where for not seeing more of robots he said there where only 3 and during busy periods they where quite stretched. The food came in the tiniest portions imaginable, it was bland and cold. The price they charge is astronomical. If they are advertising robot service as a gimmick they need to get more of them to supply demand.

Yesterday I visited this restaurant and loved it. On arrival we were met by David who showed us to our table and explained how the ‘All You Can Eat’ now works and showed us how to order through their app. I wasn’t too sure what to think about ordering to the table instead of going up to see what I want, but it worked so much better. You can order what you want off the menu and these are served in little bowls so you can still try a number of dishes throughout your visit. Spoiler….it’s all delicious. Although staff were there to oversee the cleaning of tables and to check everything tastes as good as it should, they have a robot serving you your food - she’s absolutely amazing too. Loved this and can’t wait to take the kids back to see her.

Really dissatisfied. You can only order a maximum of 12 items per order so that means that the food is very slow coming to your table. The food is in tiny bowls and you only get a couple of mouthfuls per bowl. The food we had was unfortunately only warm and not hot and to be honest not very tasteful. Not the standards that it was pre lockdown. Worked out at £16 per head daytime (there was three of us) Not massively expensive but not value for money considering the things that I have mentioned.

Myself and a friend went to this resultant for her birthday. There was nobody in at first and we were told to wait. It’s not a buffet resultant you have to order by the app. No help from staffWe only ordered a few dishes and when they came I was shocked on the size of the plates. ( let’s say dipping bowls). The food was cold and disgusting We ordered some more and they were virtually the same taste. The selection of food is shocking. Cocktail sausages chicken nuggets chips. Chips with salt and pepper (litually) black bean pork / chicken / beef. All the same food Sweet and sour chicken. More like cold and hard chicken. I would not recommend this restaurant I have spoken to the head office regarding the experience hower I’m shocked they are not bothered or helpful

Ich kenne das Restaurant von früher. Früher war es tatsächlich ein Buffet Restaurant, mit adäquater Qualität. Das Restaurant nennt sich weiterhin so, allerdings bietet es kein Buffet mehr an. Essen kann nur noch am Tisch über eine App geordert werden. Alles sehr umständlich. Essensqualität ist miserabel. Alles schmeckt Gleich. Essen wird nicht mehr zubereitet, sondern das zuvor gekochte Fleisch wird lediglich mit zuvor gekochten Gemüse übereinander gestapelt und die entsprechende Soße drüber gegossen. Essen schmeckt komplett gleich egal ob Hühnchen, Schwein, Ente oder auch Rind. Das Essen wird einfach auf den Tisch gestellt ohne zu sagen was man dort bekommen hat. Meistens ist das Essen nicht klar erkennbar um welches Gericht es sich handelt. Die drei Sorten von Sushi die angeboten werden sind absolut ungenießbar. Es handelt sich um alte Sushi Röllchen komplett ohne Geschmack Reis ist Uhr alt, und es gibt keine Möglichkeit es richtig zu essen außer einfach eine Gabel zu benutzen. Um die App die für die Bestellung der Einzelgerichte erforderlich ist herunterladen zu können, muss in dem Restaurant selber noch die Telefonnummer Name angegeben werden da ansonsten ein Laden der App nicht möglich ist. Das Restaurant ist absolut nicht mehr zu empfehlen.

Once you have downloaded and set up an account on their app (a slightly annoying process, which seemed to take forever), you can order as much as you want from the wide ranging menu. If the quality of the smallish portions that arrived was good, I would not question the value, but all too often, the the cooking was poor, the meat tough, the batters soggy and all the dishes lacked the care and finesse you expect of a really good Chinese restaurant. This is a good concept and the staff are nice, but the food misses the mark.

On arrival we waited over 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, we would have left but our son wanted to eat there so we waited. Having filled in track and trace details (the only place during our trip to still be using this) and had temp checked (fair enough) we were led to a table where we were told we needed to download an app to order our food and it is no longer a buffet simply a table service restaurant with small portions. We ordered starters which were good, followed by main courses. 1 bowl of rice arrived followed a while later by most of the rest of our meals (the rice was cold by this time). The food itself was very nice and excellent value for money. As one of our dishes didn't arrive we ordered extra mains just after placing that order we were told we only had 20 minutes until last order despite it being over an hour until the advertised closing time. With this in mind we ordered deserts before the mains arrived, they also arrived first and sat on the table while we finished the main courses, we felt as though we were chased out and the staff locked the door behind us 1 hour prior to the closing time advertised on the website.

Arrived here at 14.20 one day with two hungry children in tow, having reviewed their website (and google and tripadvisor) which all said they closed at 1600. We were told on arrival that they were closing soon and we would only have half an hour to eat. We said this would be fine and then another staff member piped up that actually we would only have 20 minutes. Their attitude was just shocking and it was perfectly clear that they just didn’t want to serve us for some reason. Maybe it was the sight of my disabled husband? Wouldn’t be in rush to return for such poor customer relations. Not even an apology or explanation as to why they were closing at the random time of 14.40 when their advertised hours are until 16.00. Updated training and website required maybe?

Visited for Sunday evening buffet with my husband and our parents but we really disappointed with the service. It has changed from a self serve buffet to table order buffet. We ordered on the app as instructed and the soups arrived quite quickly. We then ordered starters, but waited 25 minutes for only a part order to arrive. To avoid another lengthy wait we ordered main meals and were delivered 1 bowl if rice and no meals! By the time the meals did arrive the 1 rice was cold and still no sign of the missing starters. A manager then came over to take an order for the missing items, blaming a till roll error. The food when it all eventually arrived was really great, just a shame the evening was spoiled by the waiting time and also by being have frozen to death by the air con!!

We visited here on boxing day as a party of 7 (two children) and seated in two grops fairly far apart as a result of the Covid guidelines. Straight away, one of our tabes had an issue with the ordering app which prevented us from ordering for a good 30 minutes or so - after multiple attempts at resolving it we eventually just had to order with the waiter and the food did take quite a while to come. The restaurant is quite big so it was really hard to get somebodys attention without shouting across the restaurant. The entire process of ordering was very frustrating. When the food did come it was quite disappointing for half of our group, both in tersm of taste and quaity. However, the other half really enjoyed and thought it was lovely so it so I think its fair to say that its not to everyones taste. Those of us who really didnt like the food just decided to have drinks and order something on the way home, and the rest of the party continued to order. We spoke with the manager (I believe his name was Dave) who was extremely accomodating, it was no trouble getting those of us who didnt eat removed from the bill so even tho it was a frustrating experience it was handled great by the staff and we couldnt fault them at all for how they handled the probems we encountered. Personally, I wouldnt return as I really didnt care for the food, however half of our party did so its more about personal taste I think. Although the service was a bit probematic in terms of ordering, it was absolutely faultless with regard to the attitude and demeanour of the staff - took a very poor situation and resolved it the best they could, so I would recommend giving this place a try.

La comida llegó rápidamente con un personal feliz. . todos con máscaras. . mantenerse socialmente consciente. Tubería deliciosa comida caliente. Nuestros platos mixtos de entrada llegaron y de nuevo encantador. Luego ordené pato y panqueques. Excelente. Went for a joint birthday meal of two people. Never been before and booked and advised was for two birthday celebrations for free meal. Brought proof with us as didn’t know what would be required so just in case.Upon arrival asked staff member whether she wanted to see proof of birthday and was told it was fine and that’s sorted when leaving and paying. Wasn’t told any other information about receiving birthday meal.At the end was charged for both birthday meals and theN told we should have downloaded a code - advised when I called I wasn’t told and also asked staff member upon arrival and they just said passports would be fine.So knowing a booking has been made for birthday with expectation of free birthday meals staff has purposely led a group of people with the wrong information in order to charge full price.When I asked initially about whether passports required - if the staff member would have given the correct information and told me I needed a code then we would have gone online and downloaded a specific code (as apparently we know know it takes over an hour to be emailed).Spoke to manager who had a terrible attitude and when questioned I asked if this is a training issue for staff of clients asking about birthday and not being told need a specific code. Manager says staff are not responsible for IT requirements - disgusting - also doesn’t make sense. no manager discretion used at all and 12 paying customers was clearly not enough. Totally ruined the celebration of the meal, upset the whole party and we have left with the opinion that we will never come back and would advise everyone else not to bother either. Never been shown such disregard and rudeness by a manager in a restaurant and customer care is none existent in this restaurant so avoid like the plague.

Customer service off the manager poor, we were a group of 14 who will now not be going back and will make sure we spread the word! A little bit of good customer relations would not have gone amiss .

This was a very nice evening out with family near the Liverpool airport.The atmosphere was friendly, lots of parking spaces.The selection was adequate but not many varieties of food items though. I think for about £15 per person, and a buffet, it was worthwhile.For dessert, there was a waffle, pancake and ice cream bar, as well as cakes and fruits.Its definitely worth a 2nd visit

First time here.When we arrived were told we would have to wait 45 minutes (we got there at 6:15 on a Saturday evening. It was in fact only 20 minutes.So unlike a normal restaurant where you sit down, order and then wait to receive your meal, we waited at the start.It’s a very busy place. At this time of the day it’s full of kids. When we left at around 7:45pm it was less busy with no-one waiting to be seated.The “ all you can eat” buffet itself was excellent with a lot of choice. I would say a lot more choice compared to similar places I’ve eaten in. One of us was vegetarian and they were very pleased with the selection.At £17.99 for adults and different price range for kids depending upon their age, we thought was great value for money (we went up 4 times on the mains and twice for dessert).You order your drinks when you sit down and they are brought to your table. We ordered at the bar ourselves whilst waiting for a table.I strongly recommend this place but be patient if you get there and you have to wait...

Just chances upon this restaurant while in Liverpool & arrived about 15 minutes before it opened. We were in no hurry so decided to wait. The Closer to opening time the busier it got. There must have been at least 30 people waiting for it to open! This is a huge restaurant that can seat loads of people. The selection of food is immense. Each course had countless dishes that were frequently replenished. The food was delicious! The atmosphere was relaxed & it was very family oriented. Well worth a visit!

This works very well for a group who have different tastes and like to choose the exact amount. Children like having this choice. Plan carefully or you may miss something. The food is varied and delicious. Your booking at a certain time (don't be late!) ensures there is enough of everything and it is freshly cooked. Visited this restaurant on New Years Day for a late tea, upon arrival we were told multiple times by different staff members we had 40 minutes before they closed, this was not the information online however we decided to stay. Then we were rushed to order our drinks by a rude member of staff who was clearly annoyed at us and she then told us we will all be charged full price, we paid just under £60 for 3 of us and I don’t believe the experience we had was worth even half of that. Whilst eating the same waitress then pulled her phone out to check the time and glared at us as we wasn’t finished with our food. The whole service was disappointing and we will definitely not recommend this place to anybody.

From the outside this place looks a bit "commercial" and the reviews didn't give me much hope but I have been meaning to stop by and try for months!WOW!!!! So glad we did! It's truly amazing. A MASSIVE choice including really great quality diverse items like Sushi, meaty pork ribs, huge musscles, giant prawn, etc.Seriously, at £11.95 weekdays and £15.95 weekends you simply can't go wrong!Highly recommended. considering this is a budget establishment, the bar prices were ridiculous £3.30 for a large glass of coke. the food was nice, not fabulous but reasonable, the choices were plentiful, the crispy duck was just that - - crispy, to the point of not being edible, Im still not sure if I was eating the bones as well. Staff were unobtrusive,but not particularly friendly, there was a lot of empty seating, the place was clean and well presented. the bar staff seemed a little amateur. all in all, not awful, but we wont be going again
