The Chicken Shop in Kirklees

Our food came hot, the chicken strips were dry and not what was expected, fillet burger chicken was also dry however was tasty but needed the sauce included. Chips were nicely cooked and the gravy was TOP TIER.

Recommend by a friend! Food came earlier than expected and aas delicious, portion sizes are generous. Its nice to see proper chicken being used rather than just bought in burgers!

We’ve ordered from The Chicken Shop in Cleckheaton many times and can’t rate it highly enough! We were going to visit somewhere for the £10 discount to eat in tonight but couldn’t decide where and we hadn’t booked, so back to the drawing board. My hubby works away a lot during the week so for a rare treat when he was home we chose one of our favourite places for a takeaway. Never disappointed, can’t believe how quickly it arrived especially as it was expected at least 3/4 of an hour later! Can’t recommend them more!

Downloaded app to order food, couldn't order food. Spent 12 minutes trying to get through, then told it will be an hour before food arrives. Explained I wasn't able to order food as it wasn't working, so how could it be an hour. His reply was " we have not turned the app yet" Went elsewhere and got served straight away.

Used tonight for the first time and the meal was perfect!! Very friendly staff and very clean inside

This is owned by the original owner of Henny Pennys. Superb food and a decent price, a hundred times better than todays HP.

Rang to place an order for collection at 2045 to be told they only had 2 pieces of chicken left, (a leg and a piece of fillet) cos there closing at 2100, on the web site it states clising time as being 2200, this is the second time on different days they’ve decided to close at a different time than stated, not a good way to run a new business. Get your website updated if your changing closing times. 😡

Been recommended by loads of people, so we tried it. Totally beautiful, massive pieces of chicken, wings are amazing, the chicken strips are big and juicy, real chips. And the perinaise sauce is fantastic. Been more than once. And will definitely be back. This is now the only place we will get our chicken from. Nowhere else comes close.
