This isn't about one specific shop but all in general. I ordered a cake and got this delivered when they said. Once I opened this the cake looked fine and frozen. We then cut some to have the same night. The cake I ordered was the CARAMEL MIRROR GLAZE MUDCAKE. Thankfully this was the only cake I ordered online. When I cut the cake it didn't look great in the middle but thought this would change once it defrosted. It did not but we tried this and apart from the top part the rest and majority was hard, dry and tasteless, we were very disappointed. I tried to get in touch by email, Instagram and Facebook but it took a while for them to reply eventually via Instagram. I was just told to put the cake in the microwave that was all they said to me. I tried this but it didn't help one bit, the cake was still very hard, dry and tasteless. I again got back in touch but was ignored. I then left reviews on Instagram and Facebook but soon found out my reviews got deleted very soon and they have blocked me so I can't leave any more. What does this say about this company! All I wanted was a normal customer service reply to rectify this but this is how they responded. Do they just delete and block anyone that leaves a review they don't like? What is the point? I will now got through my bank to get a refund as this wasn't acceptable and the customer service was even worse. I would NOT recommend this and would say avoid by all means, horrible cake and customer service.

I don't know why this place isn't rated higher. Maybe we just landed on a good day. First time here but judging by the experience we will definitely return. The chocolate mousse cake was light and delicious. The banoffee pie was also very good. Coffee was much better than Costa or Starbucks. Prices were very reasonable. £11.80 for two lattes and two cakes. Great value.

Been shopping with The Cake Solution/The cheesecake shop for a while now. The mango and passionfruit is the one. Never usually have a problem. Anyway shortly after my birthday I got an email with a voucher which I assumed was a voucher for a full cake or two halves. I will attach a screenshot of the email. Now as most will understand money is tight, fuel is expensive. I literally had enough in my bank account to cover my fuel for the rest of the month, I was seriously broke. So I drove 20ish miles to the cheesecake shop to claim my free Cheesecake before I visit my in-laws. At this time I couldn't afford to buy a cheesecake. I turned up presented my voucher and then was asked to pay £11 something. So I challenged it and said I thought the voucher covers the full cake. The woman there said it's only £5. Even she was confused that the voucher didn't specify an amount. Anyway luckily I had a card with me and to spare me the embarrassment I payed using my fuel card. So not only had I lost out on the fuel I used to drive there but also the £11 I had to pay. This has left me a little short for the rest of the month. I immediately emailed customer service and highlighted was it a mistake with the store or have they sent me a misleading voucher. They said it was a issue with the voucher and confirmed it was a £5 voucher. Anyone in the circumstances "sorry for the inconvenience" isn't enough. You have made a difficuilt month even more difficult. The decent thing to do would be to acknowledge the mistake and honour it. If you go into a store and they price something wrong they have to sell it at that price legally. So shouldn't the same apply. You illustrated it as free so it should be free. I just think it's not good enough at all. I was expecting them to at the very least reimburse the money or provide me with a actual voucher for a full cake. Anyway for me this was just unacceptable. As nice as the cakes are I won't be shopping there again. That could have been sooo embarrassing for me if I didn't have my card with me or didn't have any fuel money in my account. Thanks for making a difficuilt month so much harder. £11 can make a huge difference for some of us.

Due to a small group of 6 people who are in the café for hours on end other people cant enjoy the benefits of this store. Not only are they taking up all the tables 4 x 4 they are shouting to each other and to the staff as though they are on the football terraces. Pointless trying to have a quiet coffee or a spot of lunch. Unfortunately since the buyout of the company not only has the café gone down hill but the food too. This place made its name with scrumptious cheesecakes now they are promoting tasteless overpriced cakes. The few cheesecakes they have no longer have the fresh real fruit flavours instead they are artificial on flavour and the cream has a plastic taste to it. In addition to that many are not fresh but frozen and thawed which makes the bases soggy, I might as well buy a cheesecake from the supermarket. I used to be able to buy a slice but now they want you to buy half or full cakes and cheesecakes. I so wish the original owners had not sold this company and it is now no longer a favourite for me and l am seeking cheesecake elsewhere

Popped in parched on a hot day. Excellent big hot mug of tea. The cafe is well designed inside and out and seemed clean and popular. Stayed indoors in the cool, watching happy customers buying the cakes. I think the place is Polish--saw Polish customers chatting with the staff in that language. Decided to drop a review to balance some head-scratchingly bad reviews this pleasant spot has received.

The cake was absolutely inedible. Sponge was super dry and hard, it felt like it was in a freezer for months...absolutely shocked that they are selling such cakes for people...never again. That was the worst cake I have ever tried. Would have bring it back as nobody ate it, but felt sick next day...so had to throw it away. P.s. and they definitely shouldn't call it "Tiramisu" as it nothing like original desert...

I was very excited when I figured out that cheesecake shop have started cooking doing gluten free cake. Bought Victoria sponge for my wedding anniversary today but was very disappointed with the taste and texture of cake. It was very hard, overly sweet could feel bites of whole sugar in icing and I was told there will be strawberry on top but there was jam instead. I love cheesecake shop but totally disappointed with this and waste of money.

The service here is a farce. The staff rude. They start clearing up around you 45 minutes before closing making you feel uncomfortable. I was refused extra hot water despite needing it to sterilise a spoon before using it ( no spleen) so have to extra careful accusing me potentially bring my own tea bags as other customers have.

The cheesecake, or other cakes, available, are absolutely amazing. The staff working there were extremely helpful, we even got forks to enable us to take cheese cake away and be able to eat it at hotel with our wine :) The prices are well worth it for what you get.

Clean and spacious shop. Lovely outside area. Coffee is better than either of the 3 major chains. Staff friendly and efficient. Highly recommended. We visit most days.
