Had to wait 35 minutes for a small not to good breakfast was very greasy toast was hard and hard to eat and to top that £35 for two : (

A superb friendly place. Great food and service! Definitely recommended. Local and independent and staff always have a smile on their faces and nothing is too much trouble.

Love popping onto Cheeky Bean. Stopped for a coffee this morning whilst out with dog and tried the honey nut flapjack which was amazing. Whilst sitting there the vegetarian sausage rolls were brought through, so had to try. The flavours were gorgeous! It's already a regular stop for us but can't recommend highly enough.

The Cheeky Bean had been on my bucket list for a while and I wasn't disappointed. A buzzing cafe with lovely staff and really delicious vegan food. Heaven!

The Cheeky Bean has always been my go-to for somewhere casual, delicious and good value for money - usually just a coffee or breakfast, and it never disappoints. When it came to organising my baby shower, there was really nowhere else I'd want to host my special celebration. Steven went above and beyond to ensure our needs were catered for, he met me before the day to talk through layout and menu options, he helped me with ideas of where to put my decorations etc. The afternoon tea was absolutely beautiful! A selection of sandwiches, scones with cream and jam, cakes, salad and coleslaw, plus two drinks each included in the price. We had the room to ourselves. We were constantly checked on to make sure we had everything we needed. I honestly couldn't have asked for anything more. It was perfect and I'm so grateful to Steven and the Cheeky team!

Lovely little cafe, food was delicious and a relaxing vibe. I had the pancakes which were freshly made with a lovely compost and fresh cream. My sister had the butternut squash with was well seasoned and came with a generous 3 halves of sourdough bread. Very happy customer :)

Excellent cafe for both lunch and tea + cake. Good choice of lunches, teas and cakes in a quirky setting. Handy before and after visiting a very cold Shepton Mallet prison.

From initial emails back and forth, to arriving on the day, we could not have asked for more. The team were prompt to respond and so friendly and helpful throughout. The team had even attached some pretty decorations to the ceiling, and we were able to arrive slightly earlier than the booked time to decorate further. The food was exceptional, a great range of freshly made sandwiches, cakes, scones with jam and cream alongside homemade coleslaw and salad. The drink choice was extensive and everyone was able to find something they enjoyed (with great comments about the hot chocolate and coffee in particular!) The baby shower overran slightly but we were able to stay a little past closing time, which was really appreciated too. After only being to the cheeky bean a couple of times before for brunch and coffee, I will certainly be visiting more often and will continue to recommend this lovely business. A big thankyou again. Amazing spot for friendly get together, morning coffee and breakfast with friends! Super nice, attentive staff, delicious food, such a wide range of drinks and snacks.. cosy and light rooms. Would be prefect for work as well. will be coming back!

Great service. Friendly staff. Found me a table although it was busy. Quirky interesting place. Excellent coffee and delicious veggie food.

Super starters, burrata and tomato, olives, feta and garlic bread and loaded flatbread. Mains of delicious beef lasagne and mushroom & spinach and walnut flatbreads. Excellent House red, California Cabernet Sauvignon v good value. Finished off by tiramisu, affogato and expresso martinis or chocolate and coconut tart. When is the next Saturday night special ? Friendly and efficient staff and relaxed atmosphere.

An amazing cafe, really friendly and welcoming but best of all the coffee was incredible. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Popped in for an early lunch at 1130 today. Started with a cappuccino which was beautifully smooth and mellow with really good creamy foam. I had macaroni with smoked cheese for lunch. It was only £6 and was a really good sized portion for a big bloke. Beautiful flavour, perfectly browned in the oven and served with really fresh and delicate leaves ant tomatoes with a sweet, simple balsamic dressing. Took a slice of apple and sultana cake home for later and I was seriously impressed. Moist sponge, plump juicy sultanas, and plenty of soft apple with just the right acidity. It was finished with a cream cheese style icing on top. It was seriously one of the nicest pieces of cake I’ve had for a long time. I loved the paintings and the really chilled vibes. I could have spent all afternoon there, chatting to the friendly and courteous staff. A real gem in Shepton and very highly recommended.

Popped in out of the rain for a quick lunch was very pleasantly surprised. Food was of a high standard, lots of veggie and vegan options. Lovely cakes as well. Staff were very helpful and friendly We had the peanut butter and banana smoothie, would recommend.

Excellent food, very pleasant, attentive (but not intrusive) staff, good prices. Teapots were topped up, which was a very nice touch, particularly on a hot day, and staff dealt well with a food allergy.

It was worth a visit for the coffee alone. Breakfast burrito and halloumi bagel were delicious; wholesome and filling. Resident dog, Mabel, was gorgeous and the chilled out atmosphere just perfect. Will visit again soon.

We sat al fresco in the buttercross due to the virus outbreak and enjoyed a delicious coffee and breakfasts. The breakfast burrito special was ENORMOUS and delicious (would have easily fed 2 people!). Friendly service. Will return! A credit to Shepton.

Popped in for breakfast on a quiet Sunday morning with my parents (vegans, vegetarian and meat eaters). The coffee was perfect and the food to follow outstanding. With fantastic vegan options everyone was satisfied with the breakfast begals and banana bread. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended for anyone passing through.

This is a great place to eat. Good selection of smoothies and healthy options. The sourdough toastie with brie and chutney was delicious. Nice selection of cakes. Staff were super helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble, even though I am quite fussy about how I take my coffee! I was impressed too with level of cleanliness and outside seating available. Would highly recommend.

First time visitor today with my wife for brunch. What a revelation - great little cafe with beautifully prepared, tasty food and good selection of gorgeous smoothies (Nutty Nora - lush). Try it, you will not be disappointed.

I'm not a vegetarian but visited the cafe with friends. All of the food was excellent, served nice and hot, freshly prepared and really tasty. It's also good to know that we were not eating stuff full of preservatives of covered with pesticides as everything we had was organic.

Omg, Friday evening at the Cheeky Bean was amazing. I had the chilli bean burrito with lovely fresh, homemade coleslaw, guacamole, salsa and fries. It was fabulous. Can't recommended highly enough. Friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere.

I live locally but come from Bristol where coffee shops are everywhere. This one would stand out even amongst them! The staff are just lovely and always happy to see you. As well as being prompt and professional. The food is amazing and the coffee, at least to my tastes, is brilliant. I have spent time here alone with a book and also with friends and family and if you’re stopping by or if you’re local, I recommend popping in and buying as much of their produce as possible!Also do really nice cheeky bean coffee cups!

Stopped off during a bike tour, very sleepy Shepton Mallett, but a gem of a cafe in the market square! Superb Veggie Breakfast, wilted spinach and all. Great Coffee too! Lovely friendly staff and a lovely dog!

Stop here twice now whilst on work in Shepton Mallet. A great little cafe with a good menu, just what a town like Shepton has lacked for a long time. Friendly staff & cool tunes. Can even sit in the market place on a sunny day.

We popped in for a quick sandwich before our visit to the prison. Welcome was very friendly. ordered coffe and goats cheese sandwich.Coffee was a good coffee, as for the sandwich. it was one of the best ones we have had for a very long time.

A wonderful town centre café serving a great selection of amazing food as well as the best coffees and smoothies. It’s our favourite café and we love the meat and vegan brekkies! All the staff are incredible and it’s got a cool relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Dog and child friendly and great for vegans, veggies and gluten diets. In warm weather you can also sit outside in the market place. Highly recommend.

Friendly and welcoming cafe in the centre of Shepton Mallet. We had a delicious breakfast here, all freshly cooked. Would recommend to anyone. There is an added bonus - gorgeous Mabel, a cute Yorkshire Terrier who says hello when you arrive. Good for families or coffee and a chat with friends. Can’t wait to return.

Lovely friendly atmosphere, great staff and good prices for food and coffees etc. The 'French Canadian' is delicious, freshly cooked. Crispy bacon on fab eggy French toast with maple syrup.

Absolutely deliciousI’m not from round these parts but I’m pretty sure it has to be the best place for coffee and breakfast in the whole of the world. Tasty sausages great bacon no grease delicious coffee. Lovely couple running it. Seriously i couldn’t fault it. Will definitely without a doubt return when I come and stay with my friends. The food was excellent. The coffee phenomenal. The staff friendly. I would recommend this place over any other cafe in Glastonbury or wells.
