We had a brilliant time at Central. The staff were friendly and attentive and were very accommodating of our three year old son. The food was delicious, well cooked and came in good time even on a busy Saturday lunchtime.

Beautiful atmosphere,all tables nice and private,service was fantastic as was the food,fish and chips,fish was cooked perfectly and the meatballs and arribiata sauce was yummy,spicy but I loved it,would definitely visit again,also asked regarding any allergies which I have never been asked before so another plus for sure

It is a pub, I visited around lunch time, but didn't order any food, just a drink. I was there for little less than an hour and observed the several members of staff serving food and drinks to a good standard. the cleanliness of the facilities and the pool table side of the pub needed some attention (sticky floors and smelly toilets) in my opinion, but these are not a reason not to visit

When suffering low blood sugar and had no meds I was assisted by the amazing staff especially Amy, who made sure I was feeling better.

Friendly stop for breakfast, menu was a nice change from the other options, very fresh and reasonable, service good too.

Ok experience. Dirty toilets, slow bar service and outdated accommodation. But it's full of people.

My experience at this place took a terrible turn when the staff became extremely rude and hostile as they were closing for the night. I understand the need to close, but the way they handled it was completely unacceptable. One particular staff member was incredibly arrogant and disrespectful towards my brother. After enduring repeated rudeness, I confronted him, as his behavior was simply out of line. No customer should ever be treated in such a manner. Their approach to customer service needs serious improvement—treating people with hostility is never okay, no matter the circumstances.

The food here is exactly what you think it will be pub grub and decent for the money. The staff however are appalling 1 young gent walking around petting dogs whilst carrying food not to mention the obvious personal hygiene issues. I never comment on an individual but the smell of body odour when he took our plates was disgusting. I l9ve coming here for a drink but would never return for food after seeing what I saw

Gorgeous food and great service from Tiff. My greek feta salad was 100 times better than when we went to actual Greece earlier in the summer holidays. We will definitely be back next year x

We had travelled over to newquay and found ourselves 1 hour early for our booking. We asked if we were OK to eat at 5 instead of 6. The girls couldn't have been anymore accommodating. The food was good, we only ordered basic stuff and I'm no Gordon Ramsey mind. The live music outside is loud so if you want a quiet meal sit inside. It's a really friendly atmosphere, we've been here a couple of times for drinks and food and it's never let us down.

100% would recommend this restaurant. The food was amazing. We had the small plates, but each was cooked beautifully and the mains coming to other tables looked great too. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good location. Huge building with lots of seats and booths. Thoroughly enjoyed.

We frequent central and have never had a bad service or meal. It’s a lovey atmosphere always, and our lovely server Tiff made us feel right at home. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back :)

Really disappointed with our visit today, one member of staff in particular made us feel so uncomfortable she was extremely rude and looked as if she didn’t want to be there! A friendly welcoming face goes a long way in my opinion We also had to wait an hour for food with 3 children which wasn’t ideal I will say we couldn’t fault the food and thought it was lovely.

This is truly one of my favourite pubs in Newquay. Great food (Steak on the stones! So good!) and great service from a girl named Tiff, who was polite and very helpful as my date was late and helped me with the ordering of the food. Will absolutely come back, cannot complain Thank you Central

We recently met up with some friends visiting us for Lunch in The Central. They remarked how much very really enjoyed their food (as we did) and the wonderful service from all the friendly staff. This is why we have no worries about recommending the Central. They especially wanted to thank Benn the Manager for stopping by to make them so welcome.

Waited 120 minutes for food! Other diners got their food before us even though arriving after us! When our food order did come out it was wrong so had to wait another 15 mins! Waitress was very rude

Excellent pub, great staff, great atmosphere, great food - plenty of seating and truly dog friendly with a dog station to help yourself to a bowl, water and treats. Online menus were excellent for deciphering what was suitable for allergies. We all finished our meals, full, happy and it wasn't over priced

Outside seating is a must on a hot day. Great choice of drinks. Located in town centre. Near the beach.

It looks great from the outside. Inside, it's a bit worse and it's not about the decor, but a lot of dust, sticky tables and mess in the toilet. The food is quite tasty, the staff is very nice.

It's a busy pub, with plenty of room to watch football, and loads of outside seating right in the heart of Newquay town

Visted a few times now but popped in for lunch. Daughter had Nachos, partner had a burger and I had a wrap. Daughter was impressed that nachos were spread out so the topping was evenly spread over all nachos, and what a topping, the guacamole and sour cream were just light and lovely tasting (can tell its all fresh ingredients and it does make a difference). Burger was beautiful, cooked to perfection again lovely hand made burgers and lovely fresh ingredients to match. The wrap was filled with chicken and crispy lettuce and again all fresh. Burger and wrap both came with fries (crispy and tasty) and we ordered an additional portion to go with the nachos (although you really didn't need to as the nachos are an ample portion size) £37 for the 3 of us. Staff lovely and friendly and organised! Will keep returning everytime we have the chance too. It never disappoints us.

Had drinks here outside then food inside later... no complaints.. the staff who served us were great and the redefine vegan burger was perfect. The entertainment was fun.. 'Mr House' who managed to sing Erasure's A Little Respect perfectly. ( Very difficult song lol)

Went 2 evenings in a row, really good atmosphere and friendly staff

Had a meal with family. Had to ask to be served drinks and order food. Food was OK. Standard for a pub. Gents toilets were disgusting. Urine on toilet seats and over the floor. Footprints left on floor when walking out of the toilets. Ladies toilets were a bit better but cleanliness could be improved. The Central really need to up their game to ensure clean and hygienic toilets. My 23 year old son was asked for his ID for proof of age 4 times (each time his drink was brought to the table / ordered at the table). I understand the necessity for proof of age, but a joined up approach to determine age has been proven, would be useful.

Central Inn offered a great viewing experience of the Euro 24 tournament. Great Atmosphere, no queues at the bar , good food . Attended several matches and enjoyed the whole tournament. Thanks to Millie , Jake and Hollie 😊

We called in for a drink and a look at the menu as we was looking for something to eat. Well the staff was really rude i was waiting at the bar to get served and all the did was just look at me as if i should not of been in there. Then the girl just shouted up come down this end of the bar if you want serving. I just could not believe how rude that was. We just had the drinks and went without ordering food. 4 of as as well. Shame as it does look a nice pub. So can not tell you what the food is like. They need to train the staff or lose more customers.

After a pleasant walk around Newquay, we wanted somewhere nice to have dinner. We decided to try the Central Inn which had good reviews on Tripadvisor. They weren't wrong! We were 4 adults and a 3 year old and the Central Inn did us proud. The food was lovely, the staff were pleasant and helpful, and the Inn had a good atmosphere.

Great service from the bar staff, Millie, Jake and Hollie. Even during an extremely busy period watching the England Semi finals they were on top of things at the bar and didn't have to wait for service. They remembered my order when I returned and were very friendly. Thank you!

Great service at the bar during a busy time with England in the Euros, dream relay team behind bar taking orders, getting drinks, taking payment. Understood the need to streamline their service, brilliant off the cuff thinking.

Food was okay... not particularly any thought gone into it and reminiscent to wetherspoons. The servers are soooo kind and great to speak with. Very helpful and got to us quickly. My Espresso Martini wasn't strong enough. Definitely watered down by either not strong enough coffee or hot espresso poured too quickly over the ice. The tables were very sticky and by nightfall this place must be a very busy club as the floors and tables were quite dirty. The staff were definitely a highlight to the evening and we're very helpful with children's food choice and there were highchairs available.

Came in last minute on Sunday, not to busy but a good atmosphere. Staff were amazing, friendly, helpful attentive. The person who served us was lovely. The food was amazing, tasty and well presented. I had the chicken burger, the chicken was so moist and the topping crunchy. Burger and chips was also fab. Cannot fault anything. Don't walk past this place it does deliver on all levels.

Food was amazing, we had a Porkie Burger and Cajun Chicken & Half Rack of Ribs - portions were huge! Plenty of choice on the menu and drinks at the bar - of course washed down with a Rattler 🐍 didn’t need any desserts after! Fuller than a butchers dog… book a table during the day for peak hours in the evening. Went at 5:30 and got straight in for 2, any more and we’d be waiting. Enjoy!

Avoid if you have kids! We sat outside for a drink and my 14 year old son opened his sandwich, he took one bite and the arrogant male security guard came straight over and told him, in a not particularly friendly manner, that he couldn't eat his sandwich on the premises. Firstly, you need to train you security to speak to the parent, not intimidate a 14 year old child! Secondly, it's laughable that your security guards, who were both eyeballing us from the minute we sat down, have nothing better to do than watch for children eating food. I totally understand you serve food and you don't allow other food to be eaten on your premises, but it is incredibly petty when it's a child having a snack. And you really need to train your security to enforce your rules in a much more friendly way.......no need at all for the typical security bravado, a quiet word would've been much better received!

I have been here many times over the years and its always been decent, but my last visit was excellent, so wanted to make sure they got the feedback they deserved. We went early evening, there were 4 of us (2 adults/2 teens) and 2 dogs, the service and food was brilliant and it was also very reasonable.

Regular visitor. Decent beer, great location and nice outdoor seating in the nice weather. Inside is good with restaurant area and bar with a pool table section and dance floor. Staff are always really friendly. The food is always good with plenty of options. Recently had the steak sizzler which was really good.

Tyler at the bar was specifically very attentive and knew exactly who was next, and had an overall view over the bar and who was next in queue, all whilst still being super friendly to customers and keeping everyone safe and sound! Great guy! 5 stars for Tyler! He should be supervising the bar, he knows what's what! Thanks dude 😁
