Visited here after a while. I was shocked. The owner was a lady who I had paid for dog walking whilst lockdown was happening, even worse she had been claiming furlough and leaving her cafe closed and getting paid for dog walking. I don't think this is very ethical. Thankfully I wasn't reconised however service was slow and the menu full of very unhealthy things and the tables far too close together for COVID. Will not return.

Out for Saturday birthday brunch, disappointing menu with limited sandwiches. Not the great menu it was. Told that it was going to be 20 mins wait which was ok. Then told another order came in and they were stopping food. Won't be back. A real shame as we loved this place.

Discovered this gem of a place over summer when we had friends to visit. Blown away by quality of the food. Have been back several times since. The best breakfast/brunch you can get both for meat eaters and vegetarians. Service is fantastic and the venue is perfectly set up for the current restrictions. Also serve brilliant adult coffees and local Burton Brewery Beer.

Been here several times since they opened for business. Always a lovely brunch and drinks, and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. A cut above the rest in the area 👍

I have had food from here several times now and I can honestly say it’s the best of this type of upmarket farm style cafe in the area! The decor is welcoming, tasteful and modern with a nice touch of tradition shown by the beams high up. The staff are very polite, inviting and attentive to detail. It has a positive vibe around the place which makes for a nice experience. As for the food... Well, it’s absolutely delicious! A nice variety of breakfast and light bite favourites with their own distinctive twist added for good measure. Their signature toasties have got a well deserved reputation! You can tell that everything has been well thought out as the food is very well presented and just invites you to tuck in! The attention to detail on takeaway food deserves a mention - no horrible cheap polystyrene trays here, but good quality and nicely presented boxes. Everything is very well priced for this type eatery. I’ve been to lesser places and spent much more for a poorer experience than here. The drinks menu is extensive and the coffees are perfect! It’s also nice to be able to enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer if wanted. In summery, it’s a great place for food and drinks, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for really good quality food in a nice setting with pleasant staff. It really is a cut above the rest...

We had a takeaway from here at work for breakfast and we were both blew away at the quality and taste of the food. Even more impressive that they do GF options which is perfect for myself. I had the ultimate breakfast toastie and my mate had the brunch hash. Even the GF blondie cake for after was incredible. Id thoroughly recommend to anyone. Will 100% be going back a lot sooner than I've waited to try this place.

This has to be the best place I have ever been for breakfast! The cakes are also soo good, the only downside is you want to eat everything off the menu it’s that good!!

This quirky place has definitely brought something very special to the area, tucked away in a rustic courtyard amongst other small businesses. They have taken Toasties to another dimension. Truly amazing food, welcoming staff, doggie friendly too. Hot Food is currently available via an easy to use booking system but the team are able to accommodate visitors when passing through by offering a range of coffees some with the odd tipple too, delicious cakes , local beers, wine and fizz. The menu also hosts a guest toastie every week to compliment the menu. A must for anyone and everyone that hasn’t visited. You’ll definitely return again and again. Thumbs up to Team Cellar Door for providing a great place to meet, chat and eat.

Visited this little hidden gem today with my sister. We prebooked our table and order. The venue although tiny is welcoming with different seating areas with a “back garden” feel. Hospitality is fab, friendly and prompt. The food is delicious with generous portions and no room for pudding. Marvellous for a chilled out brunch and a glass of wine. Definitely worth a return visit

Stopped here for a light lunch …. Scampi, fries & peas - delicious. Will call in again one evening when there may be more atmosphere. They welcome dogs which is absolutely fine but they should stay on the floor not lie on a chair where I may wish to sit!!

Decided to stop off at this little pub for a spot of lunch in the 'snug/bar area' before our planned spa retreat. What a treat!! Absolutely gorgeous place that oozes charm with such a warm and friendly atmosphere and welcome. Meals were so delicious and the cocktails were amazing too. If you are in the area or fancy a drive to a beautiful location with plenty of stunning walking spots then give this place a try. You definitely won't be dissapointed 😊

Myself and my family were staying 5 miles away at hanbury barns for my nephews wedding. We needed somewhere for breakfast and the Hideaway fitted the bill. Nice food, efficient service. Thank you
