Its a nice looking pub - but too expensive. £14+ for a real ale and a glass of sav (medium size). It doesn't make sense. Got the feeling that customers do not matter.

I wanted to write a quick review regarding our fantastic experience at The Case is Altered. We were looking for an intimate venue for a funeral reception and came across this pub with private room to hire. The staff were extremely helpful and talked through options available and made it all extremely straightforward. We booked the room for three hours and they included a buffet and hot drinks. This is a private room and easy to access the main bar for drinks. The room has the benefit of being intimate and cosy and we had about 45 people in total and it felt just right. It has a large TV which we used to show a photo display. I have no hesitation in recommending this place. It really is ideal as it is close to Breakspeare crematorium and has great parking too.

Tried to organise to have my mums 50th celebrations here. Emailed them and they came back straight away but then never replied again. Rang to double check all was still ok and they said they’re now fully booked and can’t accommodate me AT ALL. Communication is key in hospitality and this place lacks the ability to do so. Cannot express how disappointed I am as this USED to be my favourite place for a drink. Would NOT recommend you try and organise anything here.

I visited for lunch with my elderly parents who have mobility issues. We were greeted warmly and advised to go around the bar to avoid the steps, much appreciated. Our waitress was charming and friendly. The food was so delicious, the best meal we’ve had out in a long time. Lamb was perfectly cooked and the chocolate pot with honeycomb out of this world scrumptious. We will be booking our family Christmas meal here for Boxing Day. Thank you for a wonderful experience at your lovely pub.

This pub should have all the elements to be great. However, it is badly managed and awful rude bar service. A group of approx 12 of us went for afternoon drinks on a nice sunny Saturday. We were sat outside - it was lovely. As we arrived a half an hour late, myself and my wife got our drinks. My wife asked for a bit more ice than the 3 cubes she was given in her drink and was told by a rude member of staff that they were rationing the ice so they had enough. However, someone else serving was giving a whole glassful to another customer. On going back to the bar for a round of 12 drinks, when pouring the second drink (a beer) the barrel ended. Our server went to change the barrel. The same rude bar member that said about the ice came across and asked us if anyone needed serving, to which our reply was that we were being served but our server was changing the barrel, but he could help us with the other drinks as there was no one else waiting. He stated it was only one server per group and he was far too busy cleaning glasses to help us and they were very busy. So after the 10 minutes we waited for our server to come back (and the rude bar staff stood there cleaning glasses and making rude comments to us), and then 10 more minutes for her to serve us once our server got back, it took 25 minutes with no one at the bar and the rude bar member cleaning glasses commenting to us. On another round, one person in our group was ignored as they went to get served by the same bar staff member - waiting 20 mins and seeing people who came in after him being served. He came away from the bar not buying drinks. Over 5 hours, at over £70 a round, we must have spent in excess of £700 between our group. However, we will be selecting another pub for our drinks in the future. I suggest that the management watch carefully the staff in the bar that is ruining this pub. For the weather, the tables outside were relatively quiet. Btw - the lady that served the big round for us and changed the barrel was good - busy and polite. Just let down by the others!

Didn’t enjoy the atmosphere. We were seated near the kitchen and it was so cold. We were all freezing in our seats, which made eating really uncomfortable. The food was very average. Just back from Sunday lunch - lovey staff, we were first seated near the kitchen and then asked to move as it was noisy. We were seated in the barn which was cold and lacked atmosphere. The food was awful tbh but we were too hungry to complain - big slabs of rare beef, over-cooked roasties, undercooked massive stem of broccoli 🥦 like a tree and a dark brown Yorkshire pudding - all crammed in to a small plate - very disappointing and expensive. The staff were lovely but we won’t go back there to eat. So sorry 😢

This is the first time we have been here but we won’t be coming back. We had Sunday lunch but the beef was tough and it was impossible to cut, the veg was raw and the potatoes were covered in a mix of herbs (which I usually love) but these were unpleasant. We also ordered cauliflower cheese which is hard to get wrong but the cauliflower was raw and the sauce tasted of soap. We were sat by the kitchen and saw the waitress tipping out the apple sauce for one of our meals from a huge plastic container. Definitely the worst Sunday lunch we’ve had and we all agreed.

We hired the barn on a Saturday evening for a 25th wedding anniversary party, for 60 guests along with the outside area which was cordoned off for our private party. We were not disappointed. Ucci the manager was friendly and accommodating and the staff were extremely attentive to our needs. We were able to decorate the barn and it looked spectacular, along with the fairy lights which are permanently up. We were also able to have our own music which to start with was our own playlist and then we had a guy with a guitar for a bit of live music...Fantastic atmosphere. The evening buffet was very reasonable and all our guests gave us a positive feedback on how delicious the food was . The food was very well presented and there was plenty of food to go around. All in all it was a wonderful evening and I cannot thank the staff enough for the effort they put in to make the evening such a success. We would highly recommend the Barn for an event or party. We arrived at midday but the pub was quite cold with no fires lit so we asked if they could light the one by the bar and the waitress said she would ask the manager. Nothing happened. The service was lovely but food was a bit underwhelming compared to recent visits. The Devon crab on toast starter was good but not worth the £11.50 price tagThe beer battered fish was not beer battered but flat and looked as if it had come from a supermarket. The shepherds pie was okay but not great. We spent over £100 there between 2 of us and not sure it was worth the money. Wished it could have been a warm sparkling review - hopefully next time!

We have visited on two occasions within 10 days, the first, was not too bad, a pleasant evening and the place was ticking along, we had some talking to do so took one of the tables inside next to the window with views of happy chatting customers. They only allow one at a time at the bar, there are foot-markers showing distance but other than that there was little instruction. Most folk get what to do in respect of the recent events, but there was nothing to say that they closed at 20:00! we sat there watching them turn away probably 25 people in the fifteen or so minutes after eight. why?? and why not put a bit chalk board up to save the folk the trouble of coming in, sanitising etc.The next occasion was on a Friday night and it was rammed, so there was a long queue just to get to the door, after a 20 minute wait a chap came and asked if we had a table? well of course not, the garden was packed, but there is seating inside which we were planning on, but no, no table, no entrance. Same point, why not just advertise this? again they had to turn away guests. I get distancing and I get that it it is not the easiest time to welcome people, but we are confused enough with the government mis-messages without the pub adding to it. Please, just communicate - it will save everyone time and trouble to go elsewhere.

I cannot sing the praises of this place highly enough. The restaurant is lovely, and the pub as a whole is beautiful. The food we ate at the restaurant was wonderful, absolutely delightful. The staff are friendly and service is great!

As a family we congregated at “The Case” to celebrate a significant birthday of a relative. Some of the party were delayed. Was it a problem? Not to the amazing team of the waiting on team or cooks/chefs! The guys stepped up beyond any reasonable expectation! They deserve the utmost admiration and accolades! A wide variety of meals/starters delivered with aplomb and efficiency! Well done to the team of chefs and waiting service! You have may have no idea of how you made our celebration a fabulous experience!

Last night my walking group celebrated Christmas at the Case is Altered. The service and food were both very good indeed. Our server was Jade and she did a terrific job especially putting up with our odd strange request!

Friendly, helpful staff, lovely situation, good food and well kept real ales. Just had a really enjoyable party in the Barn for 45 people. Plentiful varied hot and cold buffet, which was very good value as were the drinks. Everything was very well organised by Marie and Derek, the Manager, thank you all so much.It is an excellent place to eat, a proper pub but with a separate dining area as well. Lovely garden to sit in with views across to the cricket field. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Highly recommended.

The choice of beer at the Case is Altered is usually very good but sadly at times it can be disappointing. Customers used to be sounded out but unfortunately no longer...

We held a private party in the barn. From the first contact through to the execution of the event the service was faultless. Good communication, wonderful food and excellent staff who were attentive without being intrusive. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this venue.

Svenja and I got married on the 15th of June at The Case is Altered. We chose the venue as we wished for an intimate close circle celebration. This was a perfect venue for us, to have our private hire of the Barn area which has so much of character. The outside sitting area was ideal for reception. To top it all the Head Chef ( Carl ) produced top quality meals and the guests were so impressed. No request was too small or too big for the operation team which was such a blessing for us ( Andrew was a superstar). We would highly recommend this venue for private hire or even just a meal. A BIG Thank you to Derek and the team from Nitesh & Svenja

Lovely barn room and outside private seating area was ideal for our group of thirty five people. The lunchtime buffet was ideal for our event and would throughly recommend. Many of the guests commented on the beautiful location overlooking the cricket club in Eastcote. It was perfect for a relaxing afternoon talking to friends and relatives.

I have visited on many occasions and it has to be said drink bottles or dont bother. The beer is never as cold as it should be and is always flat and I mean always. You get random glasses that never seem to be very clean. The staff running the bar are slow and do not have a clue with the exception of one. Such a shame as it is a lovely place with a great garden.clearly owned by a larger company concentrating on money made from food only as the bar side is just terrible. Seems they dont realise the food and drinking go hand in hand.

I have visited this pub for several years and it never seems to fail. The food is always great; the atmosphere is very relaxed and chilled; and the location is one of the best places in Pinner. Keep up the good work!

Visited for lunch. The food was delicious. I chose the sole for my main meal. I ordered minted cabbage and peas. It was all very tasty and fresh. I was pretty full but had to try a dessert. I wasn't disappointed. The cheesecake was beautifully light.

Very disappointed with the fish and chips today, very thin fish in crunchy batter. Small pot of mushy pea purée and chips. For £13 not good value.

First time eating here for a very long time. We had the beef Sunday lunch and although it was tasty the food was bearly warm and the Yorkshire pudding was beyond over cooked and crispy. Plenty of gravy in a jug but again cold. Very disappointing and we won't be back to eat.

We hired the 17th Century Barn for our local residents to meet up last Saturday evening. It was a very warm evening, so none wanted to sit indoors, we all spilled out under the secluded covered area watching a cricket match across the road. Great atmosphere, food was laid out from 730pm, all labelled as we had vegetarians and vegans in our group. Everyone had to buy their own drinks, some of us stayed till midnight as we had our own space outside the Barn. When we went to settle the group food bill, had to pay service charge which we were not aware of. On querying we were told it was written in small print when the Menu was emailed to us which we obviously missed.. Other than that, highly recommend this traditional pub for outdoor seating.

This pub was closed for ages for a refurb, but quite honestly, I can't really see much improvement. For me, it's definitely an outdoor venue, I wouldn't consider it in winter. Tasty, if expensive sandwiches.

We had a brilliant day yesterday at the Case is Altered. We hired the barn for 41 guests and pre ordered a 3 course lunch. The service was outstanding and Marie, Derek and the rest of the staff had everything very well organised so all went smoothly. The food was also excellent and the house wine and Prosecco went down very well with all the guests.

We recently attended a Wake here in the small barn and were really impressed with the selection of food laid on and the lovely room. We returned on a busy Saturday evening for a family meal recently. Whilst the food was tasty and well presented the portion sizes were tiny and not therefore adequate for a main meal. My adult son had the shepherds pie which was served in a medium sized ramekin dish with the same side portion of greens. Also the pork belly needed a carbohydrate as was basically meat and sauce. Desserts were again small if nicely presented. Great venue for a drink with potential for dining if the menu is reviewed.

Nice place with lovely garden. However had the Sunday roast beef , 4 tiny roast potatoes that were burnt. Beef was like chewing a piece of old leather. Was offered a chicken or pork alternative, but neither of which I wanted. Veg nice but not enough for 2 people.

Evening drinks and food with hubby outside on a warm evening. Expensive ostentatious food. Slop for hummus looking like gruel and ‘skin on’ fries straight from Iceland. Squid out the local river pinn but could have been onion rings - who knows. Knives and forks an optimal extra. Waitress very pleasant though.
