Don't know why I'm being sent this review email, as I have never set foot in these premises and not likely to now!

Toilets were still being cleaned (and an absolute state) just after opening. Wouldn’t swap an egg for a tomato on my breakfast, despite it being of lower value and every other Wetherspoons I’ve been to not having an issue with it.

Loved it. Beer is so cheap. The elderly locals love it. All their friends go there. We were tourists there for 2 days and could feel the good vibe.

Food was disgusting, asked for mushrooms more oil on the plate than 10l of sunflower oil

Wetherspoon chain, known X pre/very tight quality. If you are in London, or England it is a good option.

Went in for breakfast. With my daughter and Granddaughter. Ordered pouched eggs and toast had to take it back it was freezing give out more only to be cold again...ended up eat it cold, now feeling 🤢.definitely not worth it

Food and staff were great. Ordered chicken burger and cider for £7. Outside sitting area was a bonus on a sunny day.

Its a weatherspoons but bang for buck as every, this ones quite big, foods good for a spoons venue.

Nice place, seating inside and out. Didn't have to wait very long at all for food and drinks at 7pm.

Pipe band contest on , came in for a drink with the dog. Not even sitting in the beer garden but a further smoking area outside. My wife was rudely asked to leave by a gentleman member of staff. Told in a bossy manner she could have one drink then leave. Now in the counting house with the dog. Everyone commenting how lovely. Won't be back in wetherspoons

Food and staff were great. Other customers smoking in the outside eating area was a big problem. 6 or 7 people smoking with not regard for none smokers eating meals.

Tables are rarely cleared when patrons leave. I put this down to there not being enough staff on at the time. Tables are pretty dirty also

Absolutely shocking service, food didnt arrive, was waiting 45 minutes to find out it was lying at the serving area where no one know who it was for, I then went up to the bar and a man had went to find out and had brought it over, where an apology was made, not even a refund or anything, I’ve then went back to the table where the meal is cold, I had requested for things to be taken off which have been added on, I always visit this pub and this has been by far one of my worst experiences.

Lively setting, helpful staff mediocre food- opted for an "ultimate burger" - two overcooked patties in a "plastic" breadbun. Underwhelming.

Typical Wetherspoons, decent beer selection and friendly staff. Food is what you'd expect at any one of these chains.

Go here all the time, todays visit was not great I ordered a steak medium well it was busy and came within 10 mins but I knew that it was far too quick for a steak to be cooked medium well and sure enough steak was almost blue I sent it back and they scraped the sauce off it and threw it back on the grill for about 2 mins and when it came back it was medium rare, I’m not one to complain normally if it’s a new chef these things can happen, steaks can be hard to learn how to cook but the reason for the bad review is when I took the steak back to the bar for the second time and explained that it was still raw I was met with “oh your that table!” If sending back a badly cooked steak gets you labelled as a bad table then I won’t be returning, it was only me and my husband, we were not a large table causing hassle I sent my steak back and I apologised as it was too rare for my liking but I was labelled “that table” this has made me uncomfortable and and I won’t return to this Wetherspoons again

More expensive than any Wetherspoons I've been to, lots of swearing and bad language, bacon burnt eggs semi cooked, rubbish all over the floor and ignored by staff. Will never go back.

One of my favourite Pubs! All the staff are fantastic and so polite and hard working! Full of Colourful characters dayin the Ben Hur doon the bow, all the Mad Paul O'Gradies and Big Mag Pie is on the Drum, geein it Ramming Speed!... Great value fur food and bevy... please tip staff every so often because they thoroughly deserve it... 🙏🏻

Met up with family I had pint of Stella, 2 of my cousins had coffee and breakfast bagel ,other cousin had pint of fresh orange and lemonade, first class service, great atmosphere, everyone enjoyed what they had,would definitely recommend.

The place was bouncing 🤘 had my woo woo pitcher!! Was excellent flavour !!! Me and my companion had an absurd time at the captain James Laing

We are big spoons fans but this one is our favourite. Friendly, chatty staff, great food and fab atmosphere. We can't recommend it enough. Keep up the good work, from two happy customers.

First time eating in here for work. I'm a support worker so had a wheelchair user with me. Staff were very helpful at finding a suitable table and just in general really good with the additional things I asked for. Good very reasonably priced food served quickly. Great value for money. Will definitely be returning with the person I support or if I was eating out myself it would now also be an option that's near by.

To be welcomed with a smile and good morning was really nice. Breakfast with coffee at very reasonable price, you wouldn't get lower prices anywhere else. Today we had a nice breakfast, still a great establishment. Another day, cold and wet, another breakfast warm and comforting. 👍 Another visit, all well apart from Abbot ale, what's happened to it, I tasted it and had to make another choice. The grub was good and hot. Abbot seems to be sorted now, not just here but other branches, this evening a meal in the sun, delightful 🙂. 11 10 A walk in a sunny but rather chilly park then in here for a bite to eat, still great value and pleasant staff.

We are Dumbarton residents and this is our morning goto. As with all JDW premises it's historic, but the best part of the morning ritual is talking with and watching the other locals. Friendly and helpful.

Spoons #149 another really nice pub with a great atmosphere. Unfortunately our 1st choice of food on the app was the Beef lasagna, was not available so our 2nd choice was curries which did not disappoint Very nice staff, friendly efficient service in a very fresh clean pub. We had come here for an early breakfast and had both ordered the standard scottish fry. I was met by a very jolly waitress at the bar, which at 8am is very much appreciated and she continued to show the pride she took in her work. Our food come out quickly and was cooked the way we like it, and was nice and hot, the only thing we would recommend to all Wetherspoons is that they should warm their plates before putting food on them as the food tends to cool down quickly as a result. We had 2 refillable cappuccinos and the machines are so easy to use and the coffee is great for the money!! Will defo be back and highly recommend for breakfast within Dumbarton!!

This is such a great value pub with excellent service and atmosphere.

This was a fantastic pub to go for a drink at, with a design that represents Scotland especially through the drums! The staff were friendly, the bar is well-presented and it is located conveniently near a train station. I enjoyed a pint of Thatcher's apple cider, sitting comfortably at a clean table!

The food was awful however it really was a case of you get what you pay for. We were really hungry and this was the only choice we had as it was late in the afternoon. It was a Monday afternoon and there were a lot of people drinking pints whilst we ate. That kinda made me feel a wee bit awkward.

Fantastic service Great friendly staff But having to cue for a coffee, only one machine working very slowly, lots of people complaining staff trying their best. Wetherspoons seem to be running down these aged coffee machines, but whilst you do, you are loosing customers. I recommend this place highly if coffee machine works, if not head for your breakfast somewhere else

Very disappointing visit. I tried to order the burrito salad, was told there was none, so I opted for 8oz gammon steak with baked potato and veg, (as there was no salad)then there was no baked potato left, the guy suggested rice with it as I didn't want chips, sat back down, the server came to the table to say there was only enough gammon for half a portion, I asked if they could put something else on the pleat, like a 4oz rump or pork (similar to the mixed grill) she returned to say the managed won't allow that, so I ended up having to choose pizza. I was trying to stick to a slimming world diet at the time and there was literally no time to sit and look at the menu again to see what else I could have that wouldn't ruin my diet. Pizza came, and it was half the size it should be. The description is 11" pizza, which almost fills the plate, as I've had it before. I had to take my pizza up to the bar area and speak to the duty manager. He agreed it was far smaller than it should be and offered to make me another pizza. My partner was already served his burger and chips, so I didn't want to then have to wait again for a pizza, so I asked if there was anything he could do to the price, as I didn't want to waste this pizza. He was very good and refunded me the whole price of the pizza. It was a better outcome thanks to him. Ridiculous how they had ran out of almost everything half way through a Saturday afternoon though! It wasn't even busy.

I like Wetherspoons but I love this one. Lovely, spacious, clean dining area. You can order from your table using the app or at the bar and there is plenty of room at the bar for ordering. The menu is brilliant , breakfast is served till 12 with a huge choice including American and Scottish breakfasts as well as hot filled rolls, pancakes and many other choices. The cooked breakfasts are offered in a small and larger size which is great , if like me you can't eat a lot. The choices throughout the day are lovely too, pub classics, pizzas, salads burgers and more and again offered in two sizes. Everything I have tried has been lovely and hot and cooked really well. The puddings are amazing too. All main meals come with a choice of drinks and tea and coffee have free refills after your first purchase. The staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. The only downside for me is that the disabled toilet hasn't had a lock on the door for over a week now, as the other toilets are up three flights of stairs which, if like me, you have mobility problems Is not great. But even that wouldn't put me off going. Great restaurant, great food and amazing staff. I would highly recommend .

Everything a Wethersppoons pub should be. Excellent food delvered in reasonable time considering how busy pub was. Exceptional value pint of Leffe blonde when selected as part of an afternoon meal deal. Delicious too. Nice atmosphere throughout pub with super clean facilities upstairs. The garden area was a bit loud and noisy for our liking but a nice quiet booth met the need.

Awful. We know it's a Wetherspoons,and therefore an atmosphere vacuum already,but you would think that it'd be possible to get a pint that doesn't either taste of soap,metal,or some other horrible thing. I ook one back and the fella immediately offered me something else.so that's good. However, I disnt expect the second pint ro also taste off. Tennents is almost always reliable everywhere. Not in here. We had avoided Wetherspoons pubs all through covid on principle,ad rhe owener is a horrible man.we only went back in as the Counting House is obviously more expensive. We shouldn't have. If we do go back itl be bottles,cans or spirits only as the beer lines are not cleaned or looked after properly. Clearing the used plates from their beer garden is also far too rare,and massive seagulls are prowling and swooping for grub constantly. We have had food many times.decent,bad and indifferent. We know it's cheaper,but it should still be eatable/drinkable. Avoid. Unless you are desperate. Back in the beer garden along the street with a proper pint now.chesrs

Maybe a bit understaffed,tables lying dirty for over a hour. Can't fault the staff,they do their best. Also chairs are dated and quite dirty,puts you off eating there.

The food is nice, the atmosphere is relaxed, they offer variety of choice with a kids menu for fussy eaters. They have indoor or outdoor seating. You find your seat and table number then when you've made your choice, go to the bar, say what you want and it will be brought over. If you buy a tea/coffee etc hot drink refills are free again and again. Toilets are upstairs which is not good for wheelchair users, however it does have wheelchair toilets available on the ground floor so all in all a nice place to eat x they also serve alcohol, from wine, cocktails, beer, cider and much more.

The food/drink is good for the price point, food is generally pretty consistent. Not 5 stars because it is the best restaurant ever, but for the price, you can't argue. There is a carpark to the rear & it is a relatively short walk from Dalreoch train station.
