Food was good and fast. Service friendly and efficient. Only complaint would be the prices being a bit high.

The staff are so lovely and welcoming, and deserve great feedback for their customer service. I stayed in the hotel, rooms nice and spacious, I personally would not stay again only reason WiFi awful. I needed to work from the hotel room and couldn’t, mobile signal also really poor so really need a decent WiFi network. Aside that lovely place, great staff, just need to upgrade WiFi in rooms.

We booked a birthday meal for 23 people and the staff were very accommodating. Everyone enjoyed their food and it was brought out quickly. The play area is a bonus!

We visited in a group of 15 to celebrate a birthday. They were very helpful had everything set up ready for us. There was no wait for our food and it tasted amazing. Staff were extremely lovely and our server Abby helped out with everything we needed, with no fuss. Great service

Great check-in experience, staff are very friendly and professional. You have to check in at the pub next door but there’s signs and easy to find. We ate at the pub for dinner and breakfast, everything was tasty. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel.

Day trip to see Loch Lomond for the first time, booked with the dog and couldn’t be any happier, staff were excellent and very friendly, food was very good, highly recommend

Shocking service ordered 2 large carvery’s at 18:45 was still waiting at 19:40 with a 7 month old baby ended up having to leave after waiting nearly an hour with no dinner when we arrived there was 5 tables full about 20 minutes into our arrival other people started to arrive so around 20 tables full now and people who arrived after us got food before us never again waste of time

Just popped in for a loo break and quick drink while car was charging. Seemed pleasant enough.

We went for the carvery option. The meat was a bit too dry, but you can get as much veggies, potatoes and gravy as you want. The Yorkshire puddings were very oilly, wich was disappointing. Maybe during lunch the buffet was better, but for dinner I felt like if it was just the leftovers. However, it's a good value for money.

Great and seated as soon as we arrived by a very polite young lady. Made our order at the bar with Abigail again very polite and courteous. If there was table service we would have giver 5 stars. Vegetables at the carvery looked dried up and no mash.

Had a good meal here recently and was impressed by Gemma's service. The food came out quickly, and she checked in just enough without hovering. I appreciated how she handled a question about ingredients - took the time to double-check with the kitchen instead of just guessing. Overall a pleasant experience and would return.

Waitress Was Outstanding! We had a wonderful experience at the restaurant thanks to our server, Gemma. She was polite, attentive, and had perfect timing throughout the meal—always checking in just when we needed something, but never interrupting our conversation. She remembered our drink orders without needing to be reminded and handled a couple of small menu questions confidently and clearly. What really stood out was how she managed a busy dining room with calm professionalism, never seeming rushed or flustered. It's clear she takes pride in her work and genuinely cares about the guest experience. A real asset to your team!

I was here for two nights and I am very impressed off how polite the staff are. This young lady gemma was very polite and made sure we had everything we needed, I will be coming back.

Went in for a quick meal before an evening event, and had a delicious, quickly prepared meal. Our two servers were simply brilliant. Grace and Abby made sure that we got our meal quickly, and couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. It was also nice to have a couple of interesting options for vegetarians too, the spicy cauliflower on a veggie burger worked so well!

Had a great carvery here Friday night, our waiter Andrew was excellent and very friendly!

Dinner ok choices, I'm fussy and prefer more veggie options which aren't processed food Room good, simple like a Premier inn, which is what we expected. Clean and comfy bed. Good shower. Breakfast good options but slow service.

Had just finished the kiltwalk and coming to eat and drink at the restaurant was best decision. Food was excellent especially the carvery and the staff were all really friendly.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about allergens in the menu. Plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options available. Very good value for money

Great service. 4 adults 4 children, we had an error with our booking and had only booked for 2 people. Staff were able to accommodate us without having to wait. Food was fantastic, kids loved the outdoor space

Stopped for breakfast and to charge car. Reasonable breakfast. Friendly service and comfortable location to stop. Osprey chargers worked first time and fast making it a very good stop off point to charge car before heading into more rural Scotland.

Samara's service was delightful

The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. The bar and restaurant is very modern and spacious and also cozy with a pool table. The food was really good, the quality and portions were great for the price. Our first night here was great. The service was perfect, but on the 2nd night it was busier than usual. The staff were not organised customers not given cutlery or longer waits for food. A good place for a quiet family meal or drinks.

Staff was helpful and polite as soon as we got there. Food was ordered and well presented. Tables were clean.

Rude staff, not dog friendly or accommodating, rubbish Gluten Free options

We've visited here before and always had a good experience, so we had a fair idea of what to expect. This time, however, we were encouraged to use the app to order and pay for food — which unfortunately turned out to be a frustrating mistake. After spending about 15 minutes trying to get the order through, the app simply crashed and lost both the order and the payment details. At that point, we decided to queue at the bar to order directly. While waiting, I mentioned to a member of staff — quite casually — that the app didn’t seem to be working properly. To my surprise, her response was immediately defensive, implying quite strongly that the problem must have been on my side. I was perfectly open to that possibility, but when I pointed out that the table next to us was experiencing exactly the same issue, her attitude shifted from defensive to rather aggressive, which was disappointing and frankly left me feeling a little shaken. As we were dining with family and friends we hadn’t seen for a while, I didn’t want to escalate things further. But it did leave a sour note on what should have been a happy occasion.

Poor experience as most drinks were not available that we ordered despite showing on website and other guests having had cocktails here before. Had to wait for a refund as transaction couldn’t be found on till. One drink was completely tasteless and undrinkable. Food was ok, hot but had a wait of almost 50 minutes. Went for a birthday celebration but won’t be rushing back.

Was unable to redeem a 30% offer online so went and ordered at the bar. Ordered a chicken club on brown bread with chips as they’d ran out of fries. Also ordered a chicken feast platter. It arrived with beans instead of corn, I queried with the waitress and she said corn had ran out after I ordered and if beans were ok. Well not really but what can I do, they should’ve came to my table and asked what I’d liked to substitute it with. Chicken club was a bit dry and not on nice bread, just standard brown bread. Staff hover to clear your table and had to say twice that we weren’t finished. Been before and was better, disappointed

The table and chairs were dirty. The food was very poorly presented, it was cold and food quality mediocre. I won't be back.

Got sat down by an older man, I went up to the bar after using table service for food, I went to get a drink and an alcohol free for my boyfriend who was driving. He then went up to get another but was asked for id by the same man and the guy said I looked older and he wasn’t served the drink, even though he just served me and he had just drank one, I wasn’t asked for id at all. Extremely strange considering I know I don’t look over 25, either way he should’ve challenged 25 both of us not served one but not the other, and either way a fine could’ve been involved if we were both underage, just so so strange he’d serve me but not my boyfriend. Food was okay quite mediocre but what u expect in a pub restaurant but we were put off eating by the strange encounter.

Reheated and bland, The female member of staff was too busy on her mobile to listen to us when we placed our order and just seemed distracted.

Unfortunately my review is not a positive one. We met friends today in The Queen of the Loch we we're in for drinks and a catch up. My husband and I had a bottle of wine but there was no wine chillers which the server told us that they didn't have any and gave us a glass of ice. My husband also had to ask for the table to be clean where we we're sitting the sever cleaned parts of the area and asked my husband if it was ok but my husband asked her to clean all the table ( really why would you only clean part of a table!!)Due to the weather we moved into the covered area and a dog had been sick in the area which was left even though we had highlighted to staff this is really poor when your encouraging a pet friendly environment. We live locally and are disappointed in the lack of respect towards tourist that visit Balloch to encourage them to revisit or recommend visiting Balloch.

Only went for a drink carvery smelled good.

Went for breakfast, great choice and good portions at a great price. Evening menu looks very varied, although we never tried it, seems to be good pub grub.

The atmosphere is made by the staff who make you feel at home ten out of ten for hospitality and a special thanks to young abbie who went the extra mile to deliver an outstanding service all round

We had a lovely warm welcome from abby she was so friendly and welcoming. As was the manager (Newcastle accent) and the chef from the carvery was very nice and witty. Everyone was lovely and the food was brilliant.

The carvery was very good. I loved the vegetables.

Food and atmosphere were lovely. Nicole and Adam were particularly welcoming and helpful as well. Will definitely be back again soon 🙂

excellent friendly Restaurant with good food and service

Terrible experience at this pub. We arrived at 8pm to find the carvery already closed (carvery hours are not written anywhere on the menu/website) so we had to chose something else to eat. Well, something other than what I wanted since the item I ordered then was unavailable as well. The food was tolerable, but disappointing compared to nearly every place we've been to eat on our trip so far. And when I go to order a dessert, I'm told that the kitchen is closed !? Don't you think the waitress that brought our main courses could have told us that they were about to close, so we could order before ? Well, at least that saved me the 6£ I was about to spend. As we stayed at the inn next door we were gonna have breakfast there as well in the morning, but thank God it's not included with the room so we chose somewhere else to go eat. Maybe we should have guessed from seeing the lake crowded with loud and unrespectful tourists in the afternoon that this area had nothing good to offer us anyway.

Had a great meal and service was top drawer from Abby. Couldn't do enough for the whole table which made the experience a lovely one

Lovely friendly staff, attentive and polite. Good service and food. Portion sizes were just right, Cavery was very tasty even though it was at the end of the service. I have an extremely fussy parent, but she could not fault any of her food and states it is the best Hunters chicken ever!! Well done. Only complaint is the app, items not listed but were available at the bar and unable to make changes to the meals, ie no croutons, or no salt or seasoning on the fries. So gave up on it and had friendly efficient bar service

Had to edit this review because although still dog friendly we visited again yesterday and were really disappointed to see that you no longer offer a dog menu. Also, although several dogs in the restaurant none were even offered water and it was really warm with the fire on. We made a trip especially for dog menu so disappointed. Our food though was very good as was service.

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast from here and the spinach tart was delicious. Had a lot of help from our server Gemma who was very friendly and polite. Will definitely be back again soon.

Beautiful pub, extremely friendly in Gem and Adam who oooze customer service. Amazing carvery very reasonably priced and the best Yorkshire puddings I have tasted for a long time and as a Yorkshire woman it takes a lot to impress me when it comes to yorkies. I thoroughly recommend this pub . And cannot wait to visit again

Arrived just as carvery was closing and the staff kept it open for us, they couldn't have been kinder after an 8 hour journey. Carvery was delicious as always.

Budget friendly, very clean facilities, lovely staff and beautiful town.

We stayed at the inn overnight with our two young children. The manager and staff were so helpful and accommodating. And the room was really comfortable.

Wish we had found this little gem on our first night as we would of made our way through the menu, excellent food and great atmosphere. Highly recommended

Hello on a recent visit I was served at the bar by Emma. I was surprised at how helpful and accommodating she was with my order as it was a bit awkward. Emma didn’t seem to have a problem however and the food was served at a quick pace and the rest of the staff were good however Emma really stood out!

Our servers this evening Abigail and Gemma were so lovely and attentive! Food runner grace was on point on correcting a slight error with my wife’s food, will definitely be back soon!
