The Cape of Good Hope in Oxford

Been here 5 years and Cape is definitely my go to pub. The Karaoke Thursdays is now my new purpose in life 🎤

If I spent as much time studying as I did here I would maybe pass my degree (that’s a lie). 10/10 karaoke and friendliest staff ever.

Harry provided us with great service. He collected our drinks very quickly and offered us the best service. I hope he is offered a raise soon.

Edit karaoke is game changer super fun last night 🤩 Live music, sport and great beer is what a great find. Always love my weekends off at the cape.

Caminando por Oxford vimos que el pub solo quería sentarse y beber, era dog friendly nos dieron una cálida bienvenida y un tazón de agua para son 2 perros, decidimos almorzar que era muy bueno y buena relación calidad-precio.

Had a great time, amazing atmosphere, and our bartender Cassie was incredibly accommodating, would definitely visit again!

Went for Sunday roast with family. Waited 1.5 hours for lunch. Staff didn't update us at all during this time. At least they should have offered a discount or free desert/drink by way of apology, but nothing was offered. All tables waited well over an hour-hour and a half for lunch, to the point that we got chatting across tables with other families about the long wait. The group in the table next to us got their own snacks out. Staff were flustered, stressed out, and unpleasant to all clients (not just us). Shame we had paid when ordering the food - otherwise we would have left instead of waiting and starving.

Super fun, loved the outdoor space. Lots of TVs showing sports/fights. Drinks are good and reasonable as well.

Met some friends here for a drink and a game of pool. Great choice of drinks and pleasant staff, quite expensive though... They have a fab outside spot, which I thought would be nice and peaceful, but they were airing a football game right through the whole pub - including the outside area...

The manager was excellent, really knowledgeable about the allergens in the food and very helpful. A great place to watch sport and have a drink and some food.

Fantastic pub at the bottom of the Cowley road. Cassy was brilliant serving me all evening. If you are doing a cowley road pub crawl this is your place to start!

I didn't have any food so I can't rate that , but otherwise it was a very good experience visiting this pub . Enjoyed a very nice reasonably priced pint of Guinness . Plenty of TVs to watch sport on , a street seating area , good access for us disabled customers and good friendly staff

Interesting pub. It has a lot of sports on the tv. That’s not my thing. However the seating is quirky and the outside bit at the back good. It has the vibe of an upmarket spoons. The beer choice excellent. Menu great choices and good quality. Brunch excellent although we missed bottomless one.
