Great pub loved the food prices were fair for location, huge drink selection always a bonus... Staff couldn't be more helpful even when the pressure was on especially Cassie did her best to help and went above and beyond for our visit really good atmosphere a must of for a quick pint of passing

We had a fabulous time here. The food, beverages and atmosphere is superb but the service recieved by Cassie was what made it for us. Would give a sixth star if possible. Will and have highly recommend visiting.

Had two roast beef dinners. Unfortunately the beef was served red and contained more fat and gristle than meat. Yorkshire pudding and cauliflower cheese was great though !!!

Absolutely lovely pub, there is a wide range of beers on offer and the cocktails are amazing. The food was fresh and well presented. Pascalle a young lady was very helpful in choosing from the menu. Gave great advice on drinks available. Would definitely recommend if you want a quaint little pub with comfy seating great food and friendly staff

Came to the cape after a concert at st Hilda’s, and Harry blessed me with his top tier service once again! The staff here are quick at what they do and happy to have a chat every time!

I've been a couple of times now. Food has always been great and service outstanding. Love the choice of either having just a main or adding a side (payday fries are delish). Great selection of drinks and prices.

It was OK. I ordered the classic burger for myself and another one of their burgers for my friend. It was OK. I don't think it deserved to cost as much as it did which is why I leave 3 stars. I understand Oxford is an expensive place to be anyways. But my burger cost £12 and my friends cost £14 (and that was the burger alone... Chips were £3 extra). A very meh experience for that price. Good selection of beers, ciders, IPAs. And not too expensive on that side. So my recommendation- come here for the drinks and the vibes. Staff are friendly and has a real community feel to it. Skip the menu until they drop those ££s to reflect the real value of the food (... I won't be buying again unless it's £8 for the classic burger, and prices don't really go down in Oxford so...) there are better places in Oxford to eat at the same price or cheaper for this quality.

The burger is great but it is a bit cheeky not including fries and instead calling them a side and charging £4 extra for them. I’m not sure I know if any other pub in Oxford that doesn’t include their fries with the meal. Also the problem is the fries don’t even come at the same time as the burger so expect a 30 minute wait between the two :( This was the case for us on a quiet Sunday.

We went for the pub quiz. It had a good turnout and was alright but not the best quiz. The music was also really loud for a pub so not one to go to if you want to have a chat. Reasonable selection of beers and good service

Was a quality experience and cassie was lovely

This was our first time visiting this pub and we were greeted very warmly. The selection of drinks is quite large. Our drinks were served quickly. We liked the food we ordered. The dessert and the snacks (Takkos) that were provided later were also very tasty. We also watched the Darts World Cup that evening. The televisions are placed so that you can see clearly from every seat. If you would like to play a game of darts yourself, you can also do so in the pub. All in all we had a good evening here.

Georgia, Harry, Beth, absolutely superb. You think that coming to Oxford would be a tourist trap, these guys add a level of personality and hospitality that is unrivalled in an arguably stuffy city. 5 stars any day.

We came for the pub quiz. Whilst the bar lady upstairs was very friendly and welcoming, and the quiz master being really funny, there are no rules on people using phones during the quiz. If I'd have known this, I wouldn't have come. I've been here for food before and it's excellent. I would give 3.5 if it was an option
