Vaya, ¿es esta la mejor hamburguesa de Edimburgo? Sí, creo que sí, la hamburguesa Patti era muy sabrosa y suculenta y la salsa de hamburguesa casera es absolutamente perfecta, tenía un batido para acompañar la hamburguesa y este también era el mejor cajón. No puedo calificar este establecimiento como una hamburguesería lo suficientemente alta, ¡visite! Estarás impresionado.

Great Burgers. Super choice. Super quality. Burgers and choice of sides is quite amazing. It was next door to our hotel and had to book for 2 days later as the place was full on a rugby day

I used to go here when I was 17 as it was a well known underagers place for people at my school. I did most of growing up here or in the back alley outside. A truly remarkable institution and gets 5 stars for the life affirming experiences so many of my contemporaries enjoyed. That was in the late 80s and so this review will be largely irrelevant to most people. But still.

Quick pit stop before our Sunday lunch. Quick pleasant service reasonably priced, big screen tv and clean worth a look in.

On our three day trip we ended up heading here twice, all down to the burgers (and as they were showing the arsenal game). I fancied something other than a burger on our second trip so went for a big sharing nachos platter and it didn't disappoint either. Tons of toppings and cheese melted throughout, good effort. Good selection of beers too, your typical cosy British pub and the staff were absolutely spot on, super helpful and really friendly. Would absolutely recommend it here. Oh, and get a burger.

Fab food. Fab atmosphere. Fab service! Definitely will return on future visits to Edinburgh. Great value for money. 5 in our group and everyone was impressed.

Been here on and off for about 15 years and never disappointed. They do burgers and do them well, really well. Always busy, but you never need to wait for drinks. They have really got it right here.

Visited here for lunch and wasn’t disappointed. A very busy place considering its off the main streets.

An old favourite that we often visit. We mainly stop off here for a drink on our way around the city but have, on occasions, had a decent bite to eat here too. The place seems to be always busy with both tourists and the locals.

We were a party of five, and we all left happy. Between us, we had the haggis burger, a pork burger (special), the portabella, and the Christmas special (turkey, stuffing, & cranberry). All were very good. The bun with the portabella got a bit wet, but that's almost impossible to avoid. Fries and onion rings were enjoyed. Service was great. The crowning glory for one in our party was the chocolate milkshake. This Canadian said that it was the first shake, after two years in the UK, that passed the straw test (thick enough to keep the straw standing up). We all tasted this treat, and agreed that it was a delicious treat!

Visited mid week with a party of 10. Service was excellent and the food was too. The burgers are really excellent and I wanted the bunless option. It arrived with an amazing salad.

We live in Glasgow and have eaten in Edinburgh many times before but this could not be our favourite place to eat in Edinburgh!

Went on Saturday 2nd November with family and friends for a pint and a burger. Fantastic selection of various burgers, Staff really friendly with excellent service. Highly recommend.

Un peu en dehors des lieux les plus fréquentés, un bar très agréable. Un très bon accueil nous y a été réservé; tout étaient complet le soir ou nous nous y sommes rendus mais le maximum a été fait pour nous trouver une table. En attendant au bar vu que nous ne y retrouvions pas dans la multitude de bières proposées ont nous a proposer dans goûter plusieurs avant de faire notre choix. Les burgers que nous avons manger étaient très bons.

Great idea create a signature burger/ chicken/veggie with multitude of creative toppings. Hubby added combo of bacon pineapple aged cheddar to his hamburger along w a Hibernator stout. I turned my chicken bacon shaved parmesan into lettuce wraps w a sauvignon b. Huge servings for the pound! Cozy atmosphere. Attentive good attitude folk working.

My wife and I ate here last week.i had the special burger (this had black pudding and sweet chilli sauce added) and I had salad instead of the bun. My wife had a camembert burger. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable and the price reasonable. Highly recommended.

Visited this place during the festival as although central, it was tucked away around the corner and seemed far from the madding crowds.

If you can’t find better burgers anywhere in Edinburgh I’d be vey surprised. Burger menu selection is varied and truly epic on tasting. Great staff, good ales and a great nook to watch sport. I don’t go anywhere else in Edinburgh whilst I’m there.....why would I??

From the first step we took inside the door the service was exemplary.Beer, wine and burgers were all top notch. There were 3 staff on and all were just exceptional in their customer service skills. This isn't fine dining but the burgers were great value for money and terrific.

Dropped in on a quiet Tuesday night on a recommendation from friends. Was not disappointed, a top quality burger - went for the smoke house with pulled pork and sweet potato fries. Really good food

So, you're in Edinburgh at festival time, it's raining, you're ravenous and you have the dog with you. Where do you go? Then Cambridge Bar is the answer. Arguably the dog had an even warmer welcome than the humans but that's not new. The team at the Cambridge were all welcoming, helpful and courteous. Simple menu, burgers! Choose your patty, choose your topping, choose your sides,it's that simple. The food came quickly and was delicious. Far and away the best burger I have eaten and the vegetarian burger was a triumph too. Highly recommended.

If you want a burger and you are in Edinburgh then to put it simply there’s no better place. It is expensive as chips are not included but the portions are a good size.

I reviewed the Cambridge bar years ago and the standard and quality had dropped but I'm glad to day this visit was up there with what I initially remebered...the burger was excellent and service good. Will be back!!

The food alone is worth the visit and if you add the great selection of beers and Malts, what else do you need?

Well that’s burgers ruined for me. No more will I settle for an average burger from anywhere.

Just a stone throw from our location, we enjoyed it that we ate lunch once, and went for the football another time. The staff were wonderful and helpful. Had a really nice local vibe, as I don't think we saw any tourist that came through the door. Would come back for a third time for sure.

At least 15 different burger possibilities with choices of beef, chicken, and veggie patties. Very fresh, nicely done with potential to add any number of toppings and add-ons. It is hard to imagine that one could come here and not find something to suit them. They also offer a no bun, side salad option.

Post marathon, my request was a burger and this place exceeded my expectations! Combinations of toppings to suit all. I had the Aussie burger with additional jalapeños! Great selection of beers and lagers to wash it all down with! We shall return!

The place is very nice, and the burguers are very good!!! They have a lot of good beers. The price is very adequate!

If you’re in the mood for a burger in a casual setting, then this is the place. It has a decent beer list, and it is a few streets north of the rose street strip so it’s in a very convenient location. We went two times and we tried the luau, 5 alarm, and we tried both beef and chicken burgers. They were all really good. The service staff are friendly. And don’t forget the fries (chips for you Brits), were nice, hot and crisp. Tried regular and Cajun which were were nice and spicy. A nice set of meals in a fantastic city!

I had my birthday party here with family and friends of all ages from 6 months to quite old. It was perfect. The relaxed atmosphere, good beer and excellent, delicious buffet food were only surpassed by the brilliant staff and their first class service.

We were a group of 8 on a 30th birthday. The staff were very welcoming and the drinks were good value for money. Thanks to the barman who was brilliant and looked after us all night!

We were next door at apartments and so had our first meal there, although only burgers on menu all we can say is Very Good. Would definitely go back.

Visited here on Thursday as it was close to our hotel. The staff were so friendly & the drinks excellent. My husband loved the cider. As they showed sport we asked if they were showing rugby Friday night & fair play, they reserved us a table & put the game on with sound!!

Went out for an afternoon with friends and came across this place. Didn’t have a booking but waited at the bar for 15mins and table become free. Food was all fresh and tasted great. Will definitely go back

We popped in early for a couple of drinks on 30 December 2018. Nowhere to sit we were told somewhat brusquely as tables all booked for lunch Seemed not full to us So an unwelcoming experience n altho locals we won’t go back

A group of us booked here for our Xmas night out. The place has a nice atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. The menu offers primarily burgers and thankfully they were extremely tasty and wide ranging, much better than any chain outlet you'd care to mention. Left full and happy, all good and recommended!

On a trip to Edinburgh in Dec 2018 we were looking for a place to watch the football (Tuesday 11th Dec). Rang first, staff were very helpful. Called in to watch the match, friendly atmosphere and really helpful staff.

This is my first visit to the Cambridge Bar and can’t believe I haven’t been before.

Good service, good choice of burgers, reasonably priced and delicious. Visited for lunch and was not disappointed. It is usually busy so worth booking a table in advance. would definitely visit again and recommend.

Extensive choice of burger meats & toppings … probably the best burger I have eaten! Perfectly grilled outside and succulent inside. The side order of onion rings added to the culinary experience - the batter was crispy and not soggy as sometimes happens at other establishments. Slightly off the main area of Edinburgh, but well worth finding this gem!

Visited here after browsing trip adviser to find a decent burger eatery whilst in Edinburgh. This place had too many good reviews to not give it a try and it did not disappoint.

What can I say, we visited this pub after seeing other reviews on trip, it was well worth the visit. Let’s start with the basics yes it is a pub so yes they show football and other sports on the tv’s but don’t let this put you off. This is a gourmet burger pub, I’ve had a few good burgers in my time and this place ticks every box and then some, the atmosphere is great, the service is second to none and they have a great selection of beers and spirits. It’s o the beaten track in Edinburgh but don’t let that fool you, you need to book if you want a meal at night because trust those in the know come here and the place is very busy and rightly so. So again I can’t praise the staff and service enough, an trust me book a table here one of your nights in Edinburgh you won’t be disappointed.

Great atmosphere, brilliant service and the best Burger menu you'll ever have seen. We had a big stag do (16 people). They where very quick getting the burgers out. Quite possibly the best burger I and many of the other 16 have ever had! No exaggeration!

For the last few years me and 16 close mates have been going to one of the Autumn Series rugby matches at Murrayfield. It can be difficult to book a table for 17 on a Saturday evening. We were politely turned down by several restaurants the first year we got together. Then I contacted the Cambridge Bar. Nothing was too much trouble and the food and service have been fabulous every time we visited. Who knew there are so many variations on the burger theme.

We were with a large party and booked a table after the Scotland rugby match. Staff must have been exhausted but offered excellent service. We arrived earlier than booked but had our drinks order taken until our table was ready. The choice of burgers is fantastic, including vegetarian options & chicken burgers as well as beef, buffalo or venison. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. We were also able to watch the other 2 matches. Great place to watch, rugby, drink and eat. Huge thanks to the staff, exceptional service.

We had a fabulous lunch/afternoon watching the rugby. Good beer and range of drinks but more importantly delicious food (burgers particularly). The service is outstanding. All the staff were so attentive so we didn’t need to move to get more drinks. All in all a great experience would highly recommend!

We found the Cambridge bar by chance last night whilst trying to find somewhere to watch the football. We had our 2 children with us and found the staff there very friendly. In particular, a lady known as “Scooby” was particularly helpful to us. We would definitely visit again and recommend.

Ordered a range of burgers from a fantastic selection on the menu - pretty much everything you could imagine to choose from. I had a spicy burger with jalapeños and a spicy mayo, with cajun chips. Delicious! The staff were lovely, helpful and attentive, even when it got really busy. Highly recommended

I have been here many times in the past but on my return to Edinburgh for flying visit thought I would pop in for a burger and a pint.

Went into this having heard about it having one of the best burgers in Edinburgh, did not disappoint, will be back !

We ate here when there was sport on so I guess I understand if it's tough for the staff to keep track but we were really dissappointed by the service. The food was good, had a really lovely burger and would possibly come back to try the other ones - they have various options - but probably not too soon.

We met up with 6 friends and on our first evening enjoyed the great selection of burgers and the Monday night quiz. The staff and quizmaster were efficient, relaxed and charming. We wish we lived nearer to go regularly

We visited the Cambridge Bar around the Fourth of July and were amused that they had an All-American burger as a special. It was glazed with Frank's Hot Sauce and was, by far, the spiciest food we found on our Scotland trip (one Indian meal, notwithstanding). The food was really tasty, the staff really friendly, and the environment totally fun for watching the World Cup. Definitely our favorite pub experience on our Scotland holiday.

Después de una ronda de oro, acordamos una hamburguesa y este lugar no me decepcionó. Tuve la hamburguesa de camembert y un par de pintas de Black Isle Blonde. Mi compañero tenía el MOS y un ámbar. Fabuloso por todos lados. Ambiente acogedor, excelente personal. La única queja fue el boleto de estacionamiento que tenemos. Totalmente mi culpa! Esté atento a los letreros muy pequeños en la parte superior de postes altos que le recuerdan que debe ir a la máquina de estacionamiento que está aproximadamente frente al bar y pagar el estacionamiento.

El Oxford Bar está en un extremo de la calle y The Cambridge Bar está en el otro extremo de la calle. Nuestro apartamento estaba en el medio de los dos. La segunda vez que entré en The Cambridge Bar, me dieron la bienvenida como si fuera un habitual. Llegué temprano y me llevaron a una gran mesa para ver el final de The Open. So this was a nice classic pub. We didn't eat there, but had some drinks late at night. Enjoyable place with alot on tap.

Anteriormente me escribió sobre mi lealtad a otro restaurante burger, pero estoy feliz de informar que ahora ha sido sustituido por el Cambridge. Fui para el almuerzo hoy con fantasmales y fue espléndido: desde la comida que se hace con cuidado y precisión, al personal que son amables y obviamente cuidado sobre lo que están haciendo. Yo tenía una hamburguesa con queso brie y arándano (podría haber sido Camembert - aún delicioso) y bean burger de mi amigo fue anunciado como uno de los mejores que hemos probado. Llegué a probar su batido y fue darned bien, también. Este es un restaurante de calidad que tiene una buena relación calidad-precio y un placer visitar. Recomendado.

Fuimos recomendados por otros viajeros y no se equivocaron. Gran variedad de hamburguesas, las patatas muy buenas tambien, naturales nada de congeladas. Nos atendio un camarero muy amable que hablaba español fluido, segun nos comentó lo habia aprendido en trabajando en España una temporada. Nos aconsejó muy bien segun nuestros gustos, la hamburguesa a escoger. El lugar nos resultó muy acogedor. Lo recorriendo mucho. Muy rico tambien el cafe latte.

Upmarket bistro. Nowhere to sit when I came looking for a quiet drink. Every table had reserved on it for diners even though most of them were empty. Much better option for a pint is the OXFORD PUB just up the street. Far better

The burgers are not good at all. The staff however were very nice. The chairs are so uncomfortable and you cannot stay too long because of the noise .
