So glad we found this place! Our burgers were delicious.

Wow 🤩 You don't really need to say more. A real Scottish pub. Loud, busy and extremely hot burgers, what more could you want. :) We really enjoyed it and we'll definitely be back on our next visit to Edinburgh.

Thursday night with friends, had a burger each and a few beers. Place was lively and busy...not bad for a dreary Thursday evening! Service was good and I enjoyed the food and beer. Very slightly on the expensive side, if I'm being really picky, though in fairness of course, many places are struggling with overheads. Having said that, though, the portion size was generous and it did feel like we got value for money really, so I'm happy to say I'd definitely go in again sometime.

I agree with all the other reviews, the burgers here are great. The bread is totally soft, but still had the perfect stability. The sauce on my burger was also very seasoned. In general everything was delicious. There is only one small drawback: I like to eat my burger medium fried, unfortunately this was not asked for and therefore the meat patty was a little too dry for me. But it was still tasty and definitely worth a try! The staff also gave great advice on the choice of drinks.

Our doorman suggested The Cambridge Bar for burgers. What a great place to have a pint and burger sitting next to a warm fireplace on a chilly overcast mid October afternoon. The staff were very pleasant and made us feel right at home. The only thing I would change was to be offered a choice of wellness of my beef hamburger and the onion rings should be homemade rather than the frozen variety.

Been a long time place to go for a decent burger. Reasonable beer selection. Staff plfriendly.

Function suite upstairs. Great venue for a good sized gathering. Food was the burgers as little sliders. Burgers at Cambridge are famously good. Good selection of beers upstairs too. Usually go for beers and food if in town. Would throughly recommend.

I had one of the best burgers here and the service was lovely Highly recommend if you're in Edinburgh and craving a burger!

Went for a wonderful dinner . Had the best burger. The staff were wonderful and very friendly. Highly recommend They are also dog friendly, they even brought water and some treats for the dog 👏😊

The best burger I ate during my time in the United Kingdom. Very tasty, good price, excellent service. They treated me so well that I returned the next day. A typical pub, very hidden, zero tourist scam, real atmosphere and delicious food and drink. Don't miss it.

The best small sports bar in Edinburgh. Its a very comfortable place to watch a match. They have 12 beers on tap and a very large selection of Scotch Whiskeys.

Is it a pub? Is it a bistro? I think they want to be a bistro when the festival is on and a pub when the rugby is on. No identity. No integrity.

The atmosphere is incredible, the food is great and the staff is extremely wonderful and attentive!! Wonderful experience that I recommend to everyone who wants to eat well and watch games in a wonderful atmosphere. 😀

This is a very simple format- good beer and good burgers- burgers of all kinds. No messing around. Fast service- tasty.

Found the place on reddit, and wanted some.birgera and a good time. Ordered the cheeseburger 🍔 and was pleasantly surprised. Well balanced sauce, patty was on point and fries were good. The waiter helped me choose beer and I was pleasantly surprised too by the assortment.

Had a great late lunch here during the week. Really appealing menu and you could easily spend hours here trying the different food and drink options. Great portions, definitely recommend the Cajun sweet potato fries. They also provide good gluten free options and do the fries in a separate fryer.

Different choices of burger, you have to add the side dish (fries for us) because it is not included in the price of the burger. Welcoming and friendly staff. Pleasant time in this Pub.

Quaint place off the beaten path. Was looking for a good burger somewhere in the city and this place did not disappoint. Some of the best bacon I’d ever had mixed with quality beef cooked to perfection. I truly enjoyed my meal. Fries were meh but my friends got the sweet potato fries and loved them. Also has a great playlist of music going.

We had a private function in the Cambridge Bar upstairs at the weekend, and cannot fault the overall experience at all. Lindsey looked after us incredibly well, and handled a room of 30 ladies buzzing off the bubbles like a professional! Great location. Food was served promptly. We had our own toilets for the private room which was very handy. Thanks for a great day team!

Went in for lunch today with my 4 month old daughter and the staff couldn't have been more helpful or kind. Opening doors, making room for the buggy - even turned down the music! Thanks guys.

Went with the team on a night out, burgers are amazing! Would I recommend it? YES! Close to the city centre, however away from busy streets.

We stopped in for a bite after a hellish few days of travel delays. The server was wonderful. Did not make us feel rushed at all. They even got us dessert 😭 after their kitchen closed. It was exactly what we needed after a bad day.

One of my favourite pubs, the service was exceptional and nothing was too much bother. Table service meant nobody missed out on the chat and the whole experience was excellent. And no, that's not the beer talking!

Great location to get away from the hustle and bustle the main shopping streets. Their burgers certainly lived upto their reputation. I had the bacon guac that had a good quality beef patty nearly topped with guacamole and smoky bacon. The bun was good and held upto the task. Fries were tasty. On the pricier side for a burger considering fried aren't included but worth the price. Good range of rotating local beers and a decent wine list. Front of house staff were very friendly and efficient.

Enjoyed a delicious meal at the Cambridge Bar. We were in town for the night, and had dinner for two. Great variety on the menu to build your own burger (including the protein - vegetarian options!). Very big burger and we shared a portion of chips which for the perfect amount! Rugby game was on so there was a great atmosphere, and staff were kind and helpful. Cheers!

A decent bar. Happily, out of the way so it's accessible, but when we went it lacked a little charm. Definitely not a huge flaw, just some thing that could bring it up to 5 stars.

Superb service and the Luau was to die for. We ordered a beef burger+fries and a chicken salad and both were very happy with our respective meals.

Great place for burgers. I always have the bean burger but the option of so many different toppings is really good. Decent selection of ales to wash them down, good service as well. Highly recommended.

Non è il caratteristico pub che ci aspettavamo. Cibo nella media, il pane dell hamburger non è buono, inoltre lhamburger non prevede le patatine. Prezzi nella medi, con 10% di maggiorazione flat per il servizio al tavolo. 2 hamburger 2 pinte e 1 patatine 65 euro ci sono costati.

Ein echtes schottisches Lokal mit einer großen Auswahl von Biersorten und zum Essen gibt es auch was. Nicht vergessen, dass ist natürlich ein subjektives Urteil.

We went for an early lunch so it was very quiet when we arrived. There is so much choice in terms of burgers. I had the chicken pesto and my partner had the haggis burger. They were both delicious with generous portions. We were also served very quickly and the restaurant was clean and tidy. We would definitely go back again for a yummy burger.

Amazing at what they do, Burgers. But you almost always have to book 2023 - organised a meal and drinks for 35 people in their upstairs rooms. Great service, food was very quick and great value

We arranged a family meal here the day after our wedding and the staff could not have been more accommodating of all of us - even bringing us cutlery and plates so we could eat leftover wedding cake!

Really can't fault The Cambridge, and other people must agree because it appears to be popular throughout the week! It's a bar I would feel very comfortable as a woman going into by myself for a drink, to read the paper, or to eat. Food is high standard and fresh. Mostly burgers with a wide array of choice. Would confidently recommend. Unfortunately not easily accessible due to steps at the entrance and age of the building, and being in a listed area of the city but this is true of many places. City centre so do not come by car - parking meters v expensive and limited spaces. Public transport is good however, and it means you can definitely indulge in a couple or more beers!

The food is delicious (we ordered burgers, chips, and nachos) and the vibes are ok. The only thing is that we waited for our food for 55 minutes which was a lot for the basic orders we ordered.

This place has a great atmosphere and staff. The food was good, although pricey, but worth it. Definitely try the triple cheese cheesecake. Local draft beer was tasty. My only complaint was that the coffee wasn’t great, but it’s a bar so not expecting great coffee.

What a great find for some tourists wandering around, hungry and in search of a pub and a quiet corner. Set up with the main bar area with an open space and some big televisions, perfect for larger groups. Then there are some side rooms where you can go for a bit more intimacy, still with TV access. Good selection of beer, cask ale, whisky and other libations. The burgers are really good, so don’t miss out.

Food was tasty but rather pricey given how cut down it was, it's mostly burgers none of which come with anything beyond the bun, any of the usual touches are extras. I ordered the halloumi veggie burger and it didn't even come with an actual veggie burger. Nice beers but not sure any of it is enough to make me hurry back.
