The Cafe At Nunney in Mendip

In short, walker friendly, cyclist friendly, dog friendly, local friendly, guest friendly... in short, friendly! In length, a charming little cafe to stop by if you're doing one of the many walking trails in the area or visiting Nunney Castle. Indeed I'd say it's a must! The staff were absolutely lovely and just the perfect amount of conversational. The facilities were dog friendly but clean and whilst it's small (and only seems to have one toilet), it uses it's space well. We had coffees and croque monsieur and I'll agree with the lady on the counter that it was the best croque monsieur I've ever tasted! What a find! Truth be told, it's on the pricey side if you're not just sticking with drinks, but when you have such superb customer service, quality of food served and a lovely location, I think it's worth a pretty penny. Besides, there's a board in the place that shows where all the ingredients for their products have come from and that is just choice! Please visit!

Excellent in every respect. Although the cafe was very busy we were made to feel very welcome by the staff. The cafe is located a few yards from Nunney Castle.

Food was lovely, had the tart of the day was full of flavour. Service was great and just down the road from castle. Side note dogs are welcome here. Great place

We haven’t visited for such a long time so today was a very welcomed visit. The café is very cosy and cute. A lovely selection of cakes and drinks. Overall good value for money compared to other cafes. The coffee was warm and I enjoyed the atmosphere the café attracts. We will be back !

Cute & Cozy! Lovely place to have a cake from one of the local bakery’s! And local food from around the area! Lovely and friendly with delicious food!

The best cafe ever. The food is incredible. Dog ice cream a must for Elmo🤣. Always a warm welcome and a genuine interest in who you are. You really feel like you in a French cafe.

Nice place but don't expect to come here for afternoon tea after a country walk - they're never open then! Strictly a lunch venue.

Charming cafe with great service we particularly loved the lemon and coffee cakes. The sausage rolls were ok but definitely outshone by the cakes. A cheese scone next time.

We used to absolutely love this cafe when it was under the previous owners. We were so pleased when we heard it was reopening but hadn’t had a chance to try it out untill now. Although the menu is a bit smaller, the food is delicious with local produce and the new owners and staff are lovely. We particularly liked the coffee cake. We will definitely go back.
