The Cabin Beach Cafe in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Absolutely thrilled to have had the chance to eat at this fabulous beachside cafe. Great staff, food really tasty, good value and lovely views over the beach and sea. We visited three times and looking forward to visiting again. Thoroughly recommend.

Such a perfect spot, great service, delicious food. We saw seals and a basking shark from our table and got to experience their famous crab gratin which was so mind-blowingly good, we don't believe it was nearly famous enough. The restaurant was warm, clean and cosy.

What a hidden gem! We initially came for the beach, which was absolutely stunning. While exploring, we spotted the café and couldn’t resist taking a peek—what a fantastic selection! We knew we had to come back. Unfortunately, we found out dogs weren’t allowed on the beach, so we decided to have lunch at the café instead while we rethought our plans. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially since my partner is gluten-free. They offered plenty of gluten-free options and even prepared something special off-menu just for her. I had the Chicken Souvlaki Salad, and it was absolutely divine! As if that wasn’t enough, the dessert selection was amazing, with delicious cakes and ice creams—including gluten-free choices. To top it all off, the lady behind the counter was exceptionally friendly and even recommended alternative spots where we could go with our dog. Friends who have family in the area were excited to take us Americans to The Cabin Beach Cafe in Perranuthnoe. We’re glad they did! You cannot beat the spectacular view, with an expansive patio area perched atop a plateau above the beach. Insider tip: there are umbrellas in one corner that you can use to add some shade to your table. Ample coffee/hot drink options (our quartet had a latte, a decaf latte, an Americano and a tea). Food orders included a full English breakfast, the Granola Bowl and two “Breakfast Bloomers” (sandwiches on wheat or white bread - one friend ordered sausage & egg, I ordered veggie sausage & egg - tasty but note the eggs are fried, in case runny yolk isn’t your thing). Everyone was happy with their selections - we especially liked the slice of apple cake/bread my friend got to share with the table. If it’s any indication, the baked goods there are quite delicious. Apparently this beautiful outdoor space becomes “The Tipsy Crab Bistro” in the evening - we’d love to come back and see that! Maybe someday. Parking in a nearby lot for £2.

Walked from Goldsithney village to this cafe, great location, fab views. Four of us had drinks and cakes, very nice. Can imagine the cafe gets very busy.

We first visited this little cafe a year ago and loved it then. This time was even better! The food is all delicious, both at lunchtimes and tonight. We have tried all sorts from the the menu and everything has been carefully thought about, all homemade and nicely presented, even as a takeaway. Lots of lovely little touches. Forgot to take pictures before we ate.. There is a good selection of ice creams and coffee is great too, the affrogato was a nice treat. The puddings and cakes were also amazing! The staff are all lovely and the owner, Liz, went out of her way tonight so ensure we had everything we needed. Would recommend visiting here to anyone in the area. We will be back.

Small cafe and restaurant with nice outside area above the beach. It was Friday Pizza night and there was a good choice of regular and more creative toppings. The quality was excellent with a good portion size, two of the best pizzas we have had for a long time. Wine list was brief but well chosen at a reasonable price and mark up. Would heartily recommend.

This cafe is in the most perfect spot for a fantastic view of the beach. We had a good breakfast, only marred by the poor quality sausage, which was a shame because everything else was tasty. I would just say be prepared to be surrounded by dogs which are allowed inside the cafe. We were unlucky to go on a rainy day so I think dog owners had all come inside, whereas if it had been sunny they would probably have stayed in outdoor eating area.

What has happened to this place!? Rude unfriendly unwelcoming staff, who clearly don't want to be there. I was embarrassed having recommended it to family. Average food, little effort. The advert outside for staff is no surprise!!!

We were recommended here and glad we went. Great location and views and friendly service, but the best bit were the breakfast sandwiches. Great bread! Also went for late Sunday lunch and they managed to fit us in as gets very booked up. Good food and great value.

The Cabin is perfect for all kinds of food, a snack, a coffee, cake, sandwich or main meal. Lovely staff, dog friendly, seating inside and outside for amazing views. The hot drinks are large and well priced, and the food is fresh, tasty. Everything is delicious. We’ve been in here often during our recent stay and enjoyed everything we’ve eaten. Regular menu and also daily specials.

Last day of the evening Christmas menu. Excellent food and service. Highly recommended. Very friendly staff. Never too crowded as they seem to manage the number of simultaneous covers very well. Spectacular views.

What a great location. We loved sitting outside on the benches overlooking the sea though my daughter was very disappointed with her hot chocolate as it was so bitter and added quite a bit of sugar which was not ideal. In hindsight we should have complained….. quite expensive though I suppose you’re paying for the location.

What a diamond of a place! We visited twice last week….once for breakfast and once for an evening meal. Both meals were superb. The staff are friendly and the cabin itself a bright, fresh place. Prices were very reasonable. We’ll definitely visit again next time we are in the area.

Stumbled across the Beach Cafe almost by accident. We learned they were open for dinner and decided to stay for dinner. We loved it. Superb festive menu, including vegan and vegetarian options. Small but good quality wine menu - enjoyed the Malbec. All the items we ordered were first class - very tasty and well presented. Prompt but unrushed service. Lovely staff - welcoming, friendly, efficient. Incredible views over Perranuthnoe Beach and Mounts Bay. We have just booked again. Highly recommended, is open for breakfast and lunch most days and some evenings.

Absolutely brilliant place to have lunch. Booking is advised as it does get very busy. Table 10 gives a great view out over the beach. A wide choice of freshly prepared food is always on offer at very reasonable prices. Staff very attentive and will go the extra mile to make sure your visit is a memorable one. Definitely our go to place for lunch when in the area.

The Cabin Beach Cafe is in the village where we stay every year and we have breakfast/coffee there most mornings and occasionally an evening meal (when it becomes The Tipsy Crab) It is dog friendly, even on the evening. We try to support small local businesses as much as we can on holiday and we have seen this place grow over the years into a thriving, successful business. This is due to the owners hard work, fantastically friendly staff who are a credit to the business, great food, great chefs and a stunning location overlooking the beach. We just love it here and would highly recommend a visit or two.

We have visited Cornwall many times in the past and have driven past this amazing beach and Cafe. The welcome is friendly and the food is delicious. We both enjoyed our rest after walking on an almost deserted beach. There is a very varied menu and I would love to return for an evening meal.

Superb food, excellent service and friendly staff. This place is a little gem. Looks like a standard beach cafe doing drinks and ice cream but has an excellent menu and food is freshly prepared and delicious. We went one evening when it becomes The Tipsy Crab. We all had the Crab Gratin on the special menu. Absolutely delicious and very unusual. Puddings were excellent too. Views stunning. Nothing could be bettered. So enjoyed our experience we returned for lunch 2 days later. Could not recommend this little gem highly enough

Loved the atmosphere, the friendly staff, the interesting street food influenced menu, and the fantastic location. Just brilliant and fun.

Wow just wow! Came here for roast dinner with my 2 boys, we all had the beef it was beautiful it just melted in your mouth. It came with a good helping of roasted veg and cauliflower cheese and also some yummy roast potatoes and a home made Yorkshire pudding. My youngest wasn’t very hungry so had the toddler roast which was just a nice size portion for him. I have been to a lot of places for Sunday lunch but this is by far the best. I would just advise to book if your wanting a roast.

Been here before on previous holidays in this part of Cornwall. But since our last visit this place has improved and extended considerably with lots of indoor and outdoor seating - all with fabulous views of the beach and the coast beyond. We had bacon, sausage and egg breakfast sandwiches with tea and this really hit the spot. Strangely you still order from outside but the food and drinks arrive quite quickly delivered to your table. Staff are friendly and helpful too. This is a top drawer beach café and we thoroughly recommend it. We will definitely return when we’re next in the area.

This was a return visit to this venue on the last day of our holiday because we had such a good meal a few nights ago and wanted a great finish t our by we were sure they could deliver. The lovely cafe estaurant looks over the bay to give stunning views whilst you enjoy the your food. It doubles up as the Cabin Cafe in the daytime and the Tipsy Crab restaurant in the evening. Our dinner meal was Crab gratin on the specials board it was delicious, then very nice puds to finish. Good portions well presented with a very friendly staff. Today on our lunch return was had the peppered fried squid with fried and salad, scrumptious! (No meant bits of squid but nice big fleshy pieces. Drinks menus extensive. AvOn lovely people working to make you enjoy the experience. Dogs very welcome and whe on you look back in your wallet you again feel good very reasonable. We will return without a doubt even if they start putting the food in sky blue pink plates! Some people are just crazy

Stayed in the village a couple of years ago and discovered this place. Glad to see it’s as good as ever! Great food, lovely staff, fab views over the beach.

This spot is a hidden gem. It serves light bites at lunch, including cream teas! A selection of drinks, including alcohol. I came here multiple times, always managed to get a seat. Mostly sat outdoors as the view was beautiful from the outdoor seating area. I had dinner here one night, it was lovely. Tasted fresh and followed by a dessert. Can't really fault the place. It is right on top of Perranuthnoe beach. Great at sunset too. The staff were friendly and attentive. There are toilets and baby changing facilities.

Went to the cabin for lunch with friends, this really is a gem of a find, fantastic food, great customer care and a beautiful view…… nothing beats catching up with friends over lunch outdoors by the sea!!
