Small menu but the food was good

Staff very professional and quick service, the young gent behind the bar was very welcoming and recommened some beers to try that was well enjoyed, only came for 1 but ended up staying for 3, clean and very relaxed enviroment

Carabao cup . Place heaving. Good natured banter. Food good standard pub fare. Great staff.

Food was great and Jupiter (the bar staff) was brilliant. He carried our drinks to the table, helped us out with allergies and was friendly and smiley the whole time. Jupiter is a credit to the team.

Nice place to go for some quick and simple pub food. Centrally located so an easy location to walk to on a week night for a meal or drink. The staff here is fantastic!

We booked at short notice for my mum‘s birthday meal for 18 people, the food was lovely and great value for money. Lots of drink choice, the staff are very welcoming and friendly, they gave the small children colouring, and the Teenagers have a game of pool. (With adult supervision) Great service all round, we look forward to visiting again.

Came here for a roast Sunday lunch with my cousin and very young daughter. My cousin wanted Roast beef but they only had turkey, I ordered a meal for my two year old but they had no carrots. Turns out the only vegetable they did have was peas as that's all that came with my cousin's roast. To make matters worse, we waited an hour for the food and I'm pretty sure they forgot about us. Long time for a 2 year old to sit and wait plus, when the food finally arrived my sausages were barely cooked despite me asking if they could cook them really well. When I asked for mustard, they didn't have any. Cutlery was dirty too. Not sure if this was a blip but I won't be returning to find out.

We have always had good food here but today our steak pie slices were very disappointing. Gravy in jug was cold and so thick it came out in a lump. Pie was so congealed it had been standing out so long. Wont be rushing back

Only called in for drinks an a Saturday, it seems a good pub and a great location also screens up for live sports. Sadly only one member of bar staff working and serving out the food…she deserves a pay rise and a medal. Just one gripe, please have a word with the brewery and get them to buy a tin of paint to paint the toilet area ( doors and corridor ) as it’s grim, it looks very similar to the jocky in shameless !!! if i had been dining here and visited the toilets before ordering any food this would put me off.

Arrived at 7:30 Kitchen closes at eight and they refused to cook for us as apparently there were too many orders in the kitchen! Absolute joke! How can any business these days turn away customers?

First ever visit here. We went for a Sunday meal as a family and had brilliant service. The food was quick and the lady behind the bar and serving was wonderful. Very friendly and kind to us all, including my children. Lovely place for an affordable family meal. Big portions! Parking we found a little confusing so we had to ask someone walking by. Look for the parking bays that say BB. Would definitely return if we were in the area.

We had our Christmas Dinner at the Bumble Bee and it was an awesome experience. The staff were super nice and took good care of us and our dog. We ordered a three course meal that was simply amazing. When we had our dessert our dog got a bucket of doggy ice cream and we all had a good laugh watching him gobble it up. Combined with the regular English pub atmosphere this was an evening and Christmas dinner I will never forget. Thanks Bumble Bee that was brilliant.

we like it a lot since it got new management it's like a new pub and they have five televisions. From where I'm sitting I can see two LGS and one Samsung so that's pretty good cos the games on, and I can watch one tv with my left eye and one with my right eye so it's ideal also the burgers on Wednesday is really good god bless. Although they have Heinz mayonnaise and I'm more of a Hellmans guy so that's why I only put 4/5 stars for food. Atmosphere is 4/5 as well because I dont like my wife and kids (I call her the warden because my life is a prison lol)

Mikey our server was so lovely with my little girl and really friendly with all of us and gave great customer service would definitely recommend

2 chicken meals for £12 and 2 x Guinness for £12. Thought the Guinness was overpriced hence one less star but the meal was cracking. Big portion as well. Nice venue and I think this is one the better Green King pubs but as with all them their own IPA is dire so I avoid.

Well, you get what you pay for! Of you advertise a 2 course Christmas meal for £12.99 what do you expect? This was a works do so didn’t have a choice of venue - I’ve lived in the area for nearly 40 years and have never been inside! There’s a reason for that!

Myself and two friends went to the Bumblebee on Saturday 16th November for an early Christmas celebration trying out their Festive Menu. We were incredibly impressed by the attention to detail. The table was beautifully decorated with ornaments, crackers & sweets. I had taken with me my friend’s prebooked menu choices, but there was a laminated card for each of us with our name and menu choices written on it- such a lovely touch. The food was beautifully presented and delicious- as it always is at the Bumblebee. I cannot wait for my next booking in December for another party of 7 friends.

Like to use this pub when in the area but this time was not good .Lots of food we usually have not available and worst of all we waited over a hour for food and was about to leave as it was very cold in the pub.nice girl who served us and said sorry for the wait as someone was being trained and needed a break .We ordered at ,12 and was served at ,13.10 . Will return once more because it's always been ok BUT won't stay if no heating on.

Brilliant pub to visit would recommend

I have kept on wanting to write this feedback since last visiting as I have not had the opportunity to do so. I have visited this pub numerous occasions with friends over the last few years. I have had a few decent experiences and some not so good times.. I feel writing g this comment is adviceable. As I have visited on times when I feel the level of customer service in this pub has dropped, as I have visited with friends and others, we’ve ordered drinks via the app/at the bar and only to be told that our order/item was not available and had not received an apology… Visited the pub with a load of friends on evening of the 15th October.. I didn’t feel I wanted anything too full on. I was served by a bar lady. However, I was shocked to find out the J20s were very expensive, usually over a £ only 3£ blimey. I really fancied a lasagna (my fave). Only to be told by the bar lady ‘There is no lasagna’ straight no apology. No offer of any alternative. The bar lady showed a grin to sum up the result (of an item not being available). Highly disappointed! During this time I was struggling to find what I wanted to eat although a friend of mine tried to reassure me on what I felt comfortable in eating. I did feel uncomfortable & overwhelmed with this experience. On the other hand, from where I was sitting. Whilst I was glancing over where the bar lady was continuing serving drinks. I became concerned & uncomfortable, when I started noticing the bar lady was glancing over the bar in my direction, with a grin on her face, I had the impression she was amused by my disappointment… However, I managed to find something off the menu (Mac & Cheese). Really nice. A little disappointed with the side salad lacked variety just a large amount of lettuce and small chunks of cucumber… The reason being for a 2 is the Mac & cheese improved my experience. I am one of those people that find it very rude when someone fails to apologise for something that can’t be given under any circumstance, or has not met the customers expectations. I am a little concerned on returning may be just for drinks.

I hosted a party here of around 40+ people. A great place to catch up. Food and drink good value. Fern the Manager was brilliant, she dedicated an area for us and even said we could come in early to decorate. Staff very friendly and attentive.

We visited the bumble twice while on holiday at centre, fern & her team made us feel so welcome and really friendly with the kids. Food was also good valve for money. Highly recommend the pub.

Great for a senior menu. 3 courses 6.99. Whole meal with drinks and tea and coffee less than £30 . Service was courteous and efficient. Would def use again .

Perfect place to meet your mates, go watch the football or just for a great pint on your own. All the staff are really friendly and considerate- and most importantly, of course, the beer and food is good too! A great local for me- and I'm sure for anyone else too.

Stopped off on the way home to Bedford from Luton as we do occasionally and the Bee, never disappointed! We had the pie slices, full of steak, reasonably priced and met by our usual smiley happy barman who aims to please and nothing is too much trouble. This is truly a gem in the Greene King crown !

Was meant to meet a friend for lunch, however they cancelled at the last minute. Regardless I stayed for drinks and food and was welcomed by Fern who was chatty and polite and I would definitely be back here again purely based on the service and food.

The best steak you can get in the area. Very generous pricing and portions. Compliments to the chef You get a great deal on choose it yourself burgers. Cocktails are a bit limited. Frequent events with free entry. Wasn’t too busy the times we came in, quick and friendly service. Plenty of screens which was great for watching the Olympics, however no sound. A pleasant enclosed beer garden with heaters and plenty of shade.

Only went in to use the toilet and a quick pint while I was there. Friendly service and a nice pint. Sat in the small beer garden. Seems a nice pub.

Had a great lunch here! The service was speedy and friendly and provided us with everything we needed. Food was so yummy, i had the steak and added mac and cheese and it was the best ive had. Everything was presented so nicely aswell. We came from over an hour 1/2 away but if ever in the area again will defo come back!

Called in after work for a bar meal, have done so before as I am working in the area, it was busier than normal, maybe because of valentine's day. The young lady behind the bar was serving drinks, taking food orders, bringing the food to the table, clearing tables and also found time to ask if my food was ok. 2pm lunch before picking up grandchildren from school. Very reasonably priced food,although we had won a competition for a free lunch or dinner on valentines day. The manager made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be going back in the future.

Staff have double standards if you are a group with money you can cause mayhem and play fight but one or two drinks and the fighting affects you your told to drink up and leave its reasonably priced drinks and great for work event or stag or hen night then they'll serve you with a smile 😃 and seems you can behave how you like 🤦‍♀️

Went for Christmas dinner. Food was awesome and service was fantastic, there was a minor mix up with our pre order but it was all sorted very quickly with zero disruption to the meal and experience. And the price was very reasonable for a four course meal!

Big shout out to the staff at Bumble Bee today. First time out for Christmas dinner with the family, and the staff were really superb. The food was great, a couple of order hiccups which the staff sorted quickly and handled with great service and humour, and overall a wonderful family time. Also, notable recognition for the (I think) manager on shift handling the obnoxious drunk (who i hope feels a great deal of shame with that hangover after the disgusting things said to my partner and pregnant sister in law) on what was clearly a very demanding day already. Well done all!!

The manageress reminds me of a young Peggy Mitchell - she runs a great show and has a pub with a vibrant atmosphere of happy punters as a result.
