Visited on 9th Nov and have to say it was the worst pub experience for a long time. I have been visiting this pub for over 7 years and has dropped to a new low. Poor customer service, missing bar staff who were complaining and swearing behind the bar. Dirty bar, toilets, general feel. Not what you want from a local pub, will avoid next time and visit the Griffin, or Odd Fellows Inn opposite with open fire and friendly staff. Watched quite a few groups come and go who also got fed up with the attitude and poor service. Don't bother to visit, go to one of the other pubs in Toddington to spend your hard earned wage.

The bell is my local, we have, still, 5 places to drink in the village, if you include the club and the bistro. consistency counts and the bell has a wonderful atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff, always a good place for a drink, with no hassle

Check the reviews. Some say no food, owners say, contrariwise, we've got the nosh you want. I can only say that my request for food for myself and party, at 13:30 on a sunny Thursday was, 'Sorry, no, no food today' The lady behind the bar didn't actually add, 'Don't you know there's a war on', but that's how it felt. This is a pretty pub in the historic centre of an attractive town. It should be full. The fact that there was only one punter at the bar when I called should give the owners food for thought, even if thinking to supply food isn't their thing.

I love this place. Had another great Friday evening. Atmosphere was fab.

I was staying in travel.lodge on the other side of the motorway found the icknield way, so visited the Bell for Sunday lunch all I can say it was a lovely meal fresh meat fresh vegetables l. and the plus was the staff and atmosphere will be visiting again when in the area.

Once again the Bell is always good for entertainment and a good evening. Could do with the usual spruce up and serve a bit of grub/snacks. Always can have a dance and last time there was a really good singer. KEEP OUT THE KIDS. The trade ain't worth it or sell tickets for drinks at a certain time with ID. At least you get your monies worth before throwing them out. 😉

No food but great pub for music events. Lively, mixed ages. Was very drafty with main door open if you happen to sit on the table in the front as you enter. Very helpful staff on wanting an extra table added for 10 of us. Would go again.

The Bell was my growing up haunt, always had brilliant entertainment on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, lots of great times had. Although there wasn't any entertainment on last Saturday still a great atmosphere. I'm sure now with covid hopefully behind us all it will become that great fun pub again, very friendly welcome for all new costomers

Really nice village pub, but there’s a woman who works on the bar who was extremely unpleasant and unwelcoming towards me during my last visit. I’d waited at the bar for about 5/10 mins to be served, this woman called last orders and continued to pour pints however when I asked for one drink she rudely turned her back to me and told me the bar has closed, she didn’t even smile, I was completely sober as I’d just finished work and had met my friends for one drink before going home. She was so unnecessarily rude and it’s put me off from returning, I’m not sure why they’d hire somebody who clearly lacks basic hospitality skills. I understand if she couldn’t serve anymore drinks BUT there’s no need to be so rude.

Stopped for lunch. Lovely staff and the food was great and really fresh. Will definitely recommend.

Really good. Loads of televisions inside and outside, good service, nice beer and a lovely crowd. Top notch. Would highly recommend.

Just ordered from the pop up Caribbean menu, mutton curry was amazing as were the ribs and Mac and cheese, will definitely be back for more.

A lovely village pub, very warm and welcoming staff and a friendly environment . We have eaten there many times and the food has always been fresh, well presented and very tasty. Through lockdown periods we have used the takeaway service many times and it hasn’t disappointed. Can’t recommend this place enough!!

Ordered food to take away and collected. Had heard recently they were doing Caribbean food so thought I’d give it a go! Ordered Chicken with Chilli and Mango sauce, coconut curry, Mac n Cheese and Jerk Chicken. All were great! It was ready on time, smooth collection and was still very hot when I got it home! Would recommend the food here to either take away or eat in!

I had great restaraunt food delivered and decided visit the pub! great place. food was really tasty. Staff were really friendly too.

For a couple of years due to living out of area and still the nice village pub that it always was,we will be back again.

Great service and staff. Always welcoming.

We looked on Google for places to eat around Toddington with us staying in the area and not knowing it well. We found The Bell which looked like a lovely pub and advertised that it sold food with pictures of the food it sold. Upon arrival we were told that it no longer sold food due to the kitchen being burnt down. So we ordered some drinks. We then were rushed out as we were told that children had to be out of the premises by 8pm. Over all a very disappointing visit.

No food available. Moved on. Found another place for food.

We ate here on Saturday and enjoyed most of the dishes we ordered very much. It is good to finally have a place in the area offering tapas! I would suggest going for a more traditional patatas bravas recipe though and perhaps introducing some albondigas (meatballs) as these always go down really well in Spain.

The website states "great food and drink always"but when we arrived earlier today,we were expecting to enjoy a Sunday lunch.I enquired and the barman replied that there was no food....but he had just done some wedges.I asked him if we could order some and he replied that they had already been finished.We settled for drinks and some crisps before enjoying them outside in the rear garden.The bar itself has a sports bar theme and has widescreen tv showing the football...and a pool table at the rear of the bar.It has real potential,so please deliver!Visited 7th October 2018.

Whats not to like ... popped out for a beer, ordered at the bar and got chatting to a couple of regulars and the bar staff. Felt welcome and enjoyed the atmosphere.

Only pub in town open when we visited. Did their best to accommodate us despite the disarray of electricians fitting new Tv's for the world cup. Big comfortable beer garden. Sports tv.

Got the impression the pub was a bit clicky. Got gawped at by what I assumed were regulars when we walked in to get served which is no biggy, but whilst ordering our drinks I was interupted by some of them too. Perhaps they wanted the pub to themselves, well they are welcome to it. Hopefully it will go bust and they will only have themselves to blame. Shame, it used to be a good pub years ago.

This is a good pub with good food and beers.it has a large garden patio and holds good music nights and shows sky sports.
