Went with family and friends for a meal and drinks. We were made to feel very welcome and the service was fantastic, We were a group of 9 and we all enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast meal and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxing. Everyone loved this pub and we are all looking forward to going back.

Visited several times before, but this was our first time ordering food. Friend visiting from abroad so we wanted a traditional English Sunday Roast. And that’s exactly what we got! Food was great, with decent portions. We were a group of 9, and we were seated in the snug, which was perfect. It was a cold day but the open fire kept us all warm and added to the atmosphere. The staff couldn’t be anymore accommodating. One family member is in a wheelchair, which was no problem as the pub is very wheelchair friendly. Despite being near Broad Street, one of Birmingham’s livelier/younger nightspots, this place is very family friendly.

We we’re staying at the Jury’s Inn on broad street and this pub is about 10 mins walk at the back. Davenports own and run it and they have done a very good job at upgrading the decor but keeping its original features. And great Davenports beers plus 10% discount for CAMRA members.

I went to Birmingham to see Genesis concert, We called into this lovely back st pub off Broad st. The staff were friendly and the food was hot and fresh. With a good choice on their menu. The young girls behind the bar Indy and Alarna were sociable and pleasant even though they were under pressure because of the early crowd. Well done to them for coping and the cask ales were class, me and my wife will return. Keep it up

After contacting this pub the week prior to an intended visit for a family of 4 adults (all over 50yrs) we asked about reserving a table for a meal and drinks. We were told plainly that NO reservation was required and to just pop along grab a table and enjoy. Although I found this a little odd we had the email so we turned up. The doorman stopped us asking for our reservation. I showed the email and he left to discuss it. On his return he said we would only be allowed in if each adult had their own mobile phone with the NHS app on it. 2 late middle aged and elderly married couples, each with their own mobile ! I ask you what a ridiculous request. They messed up and effectively lost out. Bad service, poor communication and downright disgusting performance from an establishment that parades itself as a must visit venue. Your loss guys, 4 meals, plenty of drinks, and a good write up has gone. You don't deserve the business. Either that or start employing better staff. AMGRY !!!

We often came here for a drink before or after visiting the nearby cinema. We rememberedit as the City Tavern but a few years ago it was taken over by Davenports and its original name, the Bull's Head was restored. It is a true old fashioned pub and these are rapidly disappearing. My only reservation is that the Davenports memorabilia is not in keeping (I am old enough to remember Davenports slogan "Beer at home"! Nevertheless it is not too far from the site of the former Davenports brewery (Bath Row), and it is part of Birmingham's heritage. The ale and the amosphere are excellent.

Tony looked after us all night, he recommended his favourite foods, along with recommended his favourite drinks. He was professional in keeping sure social distancing measures were adhered to, however kept everything light hearted and made us feel at ease. Thank you Tony. My twin brother Stephen and I had read up about this pub before starting a 5 night stopover in Birmingham, it was a pub we were eagerly looking forward to visiting and our visit easily surpassed our expectations. The pub interior is magnificent, mirrors, etched glass windows, ornate woodwork, great decor and furnishings including a superb looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub all housed in a really good looking building, its a classic British back street boozer, the type of pub I always enjoy visiting. We were here on a Tuesday night, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of the staff, we gave our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands, we grabbed a table were we ordered a pale ale each, these were served in excellent condition, we just kicked back and soaked up the vibe in this very traditional pub while sipping our pale ale's. My pale ale was really good, a crisp, well balanced pale ale, hints of toffee, a big hit of hops, very easy to drink, a pale ale style both myself and my twin brother Stephen are particularly fond of. We really enjoyed our pale ale's in The Bulls Head Pub before we moved on and for a first time visit to here we had a great time. The Bulls Head Pub is easy to locate along Bishopgate Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, Midday till 11pm. Friday & Saturday, Midday till 2am. Sunday, Midday till 11pm. A great pub,if your in the area most definitely well worth a visit.

We visited The Colmore yesterday afternoon 4/11 with the intention of popping in for a quick civilised drink away from the hustle & bustle of the German market. Whilst enjoying a lovely glass of Prosecco in comfortable / plush surroundings with gorgeous smells emanating from the kitchen, we decided to stop longer and enjoyed another drink and a leisurely lunch. We perused the menu and even though the lovely lady server was kind enough to offer her recommendation of the cheesy garlic bread with nouja as a lighter option when she heard us say we didn’t want much., our mouths were already watering from reading about all the different pizzas, so we opted for the carnivore pizza, olives and bbq dip. WOW- I’ve always said my favourite pizza was one we enjoyed in Naples years ago and no UK restaurant has ever come close to this - however the colmores pizza is now my joint best ever pizza - cooked to perfection, served piping hot and plentiful toppings which covered the whole base- an absolute taste sensation and the BBQ dip was sublime. The colmore ticks all the boxes - for super service, lovely surroundings, fabulous food & an extensive selection of different drinks.
