I’ve been here 3 times and it gets 3 stars. The food isn’t good for what you pay. Go there for a snack and a pint but you can do better than eating here.

I have just had an amazing meal with friends -I have not been for 2years but had heard good reports so thought it was about time I tried it again as it is very close to home ! Amazing service from the pre drinks right through to the end of an excellent meal . We all had different courses all of which were very well presented and were incredibly tasty . All the staff were charming and friendly -we will be going back regularly -Thankyou for a wonderful evening !

We were in the area and decided we would try this place. It was quite busy but we were shown to a table straight away. We ordered drinks and food, which we shared the 'bread selection' starter which was really good. For the main I had the fish and chips which was good. Overall the staff were friendly, food was good, the place seemed clean. Location is ok, decor is good. Nice place to visit.

Came here for Sunday lunch. The restaurant was ok, nice staff but there was something missing and I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. The food was ok, and to be honest wasn’t hot enough for my liking. The roast beef was ok, and a bit too pink even though we were told medium to well done Summary Food 8/10 Customer Service 8/10 Overall satisfaction 8/10

Tried the ox cheek and pork belly.Both dishes were nice.The ox cheek had a jus which I absolutely loved. Only complaint would be that the ox cheek was so fatty. Less than 50% of it was actually edible. They explained that that was the way it would be usually.I have had Ox cheek before and it has never been served like this.Usually all the excess fat is trimmed off. The pork cheek was cooked nicely, lacked a bit of flavour but lovely mash.Overall beautiful pub and nice atmosphere with friendly service. Top marks for the the bramble served!

The fish supplier has undoubtely changed from our last visit Tempura prawns were served on a skewer, batter undercooked and prawns rubbery Large fish and chips, fish little flavour and poor batter. Chips were excellent Atmosphere and staff excellent Susan

Had a good experience dining in the restaurant, nice ambiance and lovely warm decor indoor. We didnt book a table on Saturday but luckily had a table for 4 of us at the booth. We ordered selection breads to share for starters. Main course we had chilli prawns pesto linguine, fish and chips and chicken madras wrap and chips. Beers and ales. The roasted garlic in the breads selection was absolutely delicious and appreciated the details. Linguine was lovely and lovely crunchy fresh prawns. Grilled madras chicken was a bit dried due to being cut thinly and roti bread is homemade. Fish was fresh and flaky. All in all, brilliant experience and kudos to all pretty waiter and waitresses. Thanks. We will be back.

Lovely little pub in rural location. The gammon terrine and the pork belly were pretty average but the Tempura King Prawns and the Ox cheek were amazing. Would like to see more going on that just sat on a bed of mashed potato if I am honest, but I did it enjoy it despite this. Overall really enjoyed a rare night out for my partner and I

I Live walking distance to pub and used it for 40 odd years. Decided to have my birthday meal on Friday 2nd February, the 3 of us had fish and chips, first bite I had to spit out as the taste was horrible, wife commented that the fish was off and spelt highly of ammonia. Meals were replaced but I was really put off and only ate half. Shame as pub is always clean and ales always in tip top condition.

I visited this place a couple days ago now and what can I say... from the moment I walked in I was very welcomed by the staff behind the bar. I didn't book and they were very accommodating and found me a seat by the lovely wood fire it was such a lovely warm Atmosphere. I have never been to this place before so I didn't know what to expect... I asked for a recommendations on something quick to eat as I was stopping by. The lady who served me recommended the chicken burger so I went with that option and let's just say it was the best chicken burger I have ever had. Fresh chicken breast cooked to order and was out in around 10 to 15 minutes. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone... iv also booked a family meal coming up soon. I can't wait 👌

4 of us went for Sunday lunch, I was the only one that ordered the roast beef. I was a bit surprised when it turned up with what seemed like very thin sliced roast beef that you buy in a supermarket. mind you they did fold and roll the slices and cover it in thick gravy to make it look like it was carved from a beef joint. The slices were quite tough to chew considering how thin they were. The other 3 meals looked and tasted fab. Shame they let them selves down considering they charge premium prices

A lovely country Pub, not far out from Solihull. Good parking, lots of seating in and outside. Friendly helpful staff. We stopped by for lunch while out on our bikes. Lovely sunny sheltered spot down the side of the Pub. The staff served us promptly, bringing drinks and food out to us. Would come again, the lunch menu was great. Great location for a break on a bike ride. Have been back on several occasions for family dinner out and lunches, each time the food has been good and the service great.

Great food and service AND very welcoming to dogs (without pushing the boundaries and trying to touch my dogs - which I don't appreciate)

Nice meal in lovely location. Service was quite rushed as well as a few errors on both our food and drink orders. Bill took some negotiations to ensure that it was correct. The IT requires improving so that card payments can be made at the dining table.

We had a family Sunday lunch for my husband's birthday and we weren't disappointed. The food was wonderful - totally a cut above any other Sunday lunch that we've gone out for. So flavoursome, and just that little bit different and the food was hot too - sometimes at other places, this is not the case. The staff were fantastic, and our member of staff was great - very helpful and friendly - we couldn't have asked for more. We'll definitely be back!

Went for pre booked late lunch today. Very busy but service and food was excellent, bar staff and waitress were very friendly and helpful. Food was plentiful and a doggy box was provided to save waste! The birthday cake we supplied was brought to the table with lit candle and we all sang ‘Happy Birthday ‘ to my wife who was celebrating a special birthday. Special thanks to Kathy who did a fabulous job. We all really enjoyed our visit and will certainly be back.

As usual, the staff and service were amazing. The venue had a great atmosphere The problem is the food. Apparently a new menu and they're trying to be original - I love the concept, but the execution isn't great. The mushroom pate is just wet slop. It is a pile of poorly seasoned pate, no bread, with a raw carrot and raw onion + prawn cracker. It got sent back and removed from the bill. The waitress even commented that she didn't like it either! The butternut squash risotto lacked any type of flavour and again, lacked seasoning - the rice was cooked nicely and had obviously been fried before boiling as was perfectly cruncy. The burger was "ok" but the meat was grizzly and in places quite unpleasant to chew. Came away utterly disappointed and won't be returning which is such a shame, as we had a great experience the time before

Friendly welcome and told to select our table. Server welcomed us with menus and we ordered drinks. Selected our food and were delighted with the attractive offering presented. Very tasty and enjoyed by all We chose the mini dessert with coffee to end a very enjoyable meal Would certainly recommend this country pub/restaurant

Staff were very very helpful helpful and friendly. It came out in conversation that my son had just passed his driving test. They very kindly, at the end of our meal, brought out a plate with congratulations written in chocolate and a small ring donut.

Fantastic food, and the service was superb & Kath the waitress was the perfect host & thankyou for making us so welcome.

Incredibly disappointing evening spent here. Service poor; 3 times had to ask for a slice of lime for my drink - it never materialised. Despite the restaurant being quiet (for food anyway), it took a long time for the Starters to arrive and then an equally long time for the main courses. 3 of our party were extremely disappointed with the food - my starter was tasteless, and 2 of the main courses were luke warm. The waitress did take the price of our drinks off the bill which was some consolation. I have eaten at the Bull's Head before and enjoyed the experience. However, my party left saying that we would not be visiting again - certainly not in the near future.

Visited the bulls head today at approx 1.30pm . What a shock , having been there several times before . Went to the bar to order drinks , menu clear and available , wanted to order a sandwich was told can’t do this at the bar ?! Only table service . Nothing on the menu to say this or any signs , barman said he would be happy to take the order , but last time he did he was “ told off” . Sat at table 44 when suddenly a male appeared to ask for orders . Ordered one Mediterranean wrap & chips Whilst waiting 45 mins , had the delights of bar staff talking how they went out the night before and got “pissed” , this is night the kind of conversation I expect to hear , when I decide to go for a nice lunch . After waiting over 45 mins for the one meal , my partner & I left . To my horror being shouted at across the car park , “ have you had your food ? You have not paid for it” ( the food had never arrived) I am not in the habit of not paying for food !!!! Shame the barman was not more assertive about the waiting time for food as he was running across the car park , humiliating customers . Disgraceful staff and service

This Thwaites pub is a gem. By far the best in the locality. The beers, food and service are spot on and the team go the extra mile to ensure a great experience. My favourite B94 eats andf drinks

Beautiful pub with a fascinating history. We went for lunch and they were busy prepping for a function. Staff were run off their feet but did their best. Club sandwich was built from soggy toast, floppy bacon and ok chicken. Chips were undercooked. They eventually gave up and stopped serving food at 2pm.

Nice setting, but such an awful experience. As my first time here me and my partner ordered food they brought mine out and not my partners. We complained nothing but an apology offered, such disgusting customer service. I ordered rosemary salted chips, way too much salt it was literally inedible. I complained and this was taken off the bill, manager says it’s personal preference but I disagree, for the majority of people unless u have issues that’s way too much salt. Now the tempura prawns I ordered I did not enjoy and I know that’s a preference thing, most people wouldn’t find an issue with this dish but I am very particular I know. The cocktails were ok could have been made much better. Overall very disappointing guess I won’t be returning.

We went for a meal last night and it was a little disappointing unfortunately. We had the fish & chips which was oily and pretty unappetising. At over £17 it was a bit of a let down. I had a cocktail which also didn't come quite as described and wasn't mixed, again coming with a large price tag that it didn't live up to. The 2 stars are for the ladies that served us who were really friendly and the location which is lovely. With loads of great pubs where you can get great food nearby like The Farm, The Boat etc this really didn't match up for us. Seemed busy though so maybe just bad luck!

First time in this pub, although my in laws frequent it regularly..great pint of ale, great location...the weather wasn't great but we were able to sit outside with our dogs under the covered seating area. A nice touch, the waitress gave out dogs a treat which enhanced my opinion of the pub even more. Also great service bringing the hot drinks to our table..well done the bulls head.

We came here for a meal Sunday afternoon not been for over a year . The service was very good and we didn't wait to long for the food even when it started to fill up. I had the classic burger and the double chocolate brownie , and I have to say the burger was dam good.

I often come here with my brother and Grandfather for a nice chilled afternoon with lovely food. My Grandfather has dementia and isn’t always the easiest customer but both Sean and Joe were very accommodating and really looked after us! Fantastic service, great food and such a lovely place to go to. Can’t thank them enough- will continue coming back. Thanks Joe and Sean!

Wonderful service, very clean, great fresh food with a few different vegan options! Would definitely recommend. Even had dog beds to help yourself to at the door.

Nice enough, but never anywhere to sit . Outside area undercover is quite boring to sit in , heaters don't quite cut it, it has no atmosphere .

Great breakfast, friendly service and nice surroundings, 4th visit. One tiny gripe, butter to cold and hard to spread on my toast. Highly recommended.
