This is a lovely pub with brilliant food, drinks and a great atmosphere. I’ve been coming since i was young and it is a brilliant place for a delicious dinner. Jack was a gracious host, very attentive and made our night. Thank you so much :)

Our second visit in the last month whilst visiting the area. On both occasions we were pleased with the service given and the quality of the food which we felt was good value. On our most recent visit Teresa and Jack exemplified the service we had received on our first visit. Would definitely return again.

We had the private dining room for my team meeting and lunch, the staff were so helpful and service was excellent! We were able to pre order our food for the time we wanted and everyone cleared their plates! 5 star all round review! This place is so clean and cosy, thank you for making us feel so welcome

Love The Bull. The atmosphere,Quality & service of the food the friendliness of the staff .The toilets ar always clean . The menu has an excellent choice we tend to go on a Sunday when we go.The cutlery ,tables and condiments are always clean . Whenever we’ve been we are dealt with almost immediately and asked f our seating area is ok . Today we went as the start of my mom’s 80th Birthday ,family are flying over tommorow as a surprise.😍. Chris had a table for us ,but asked if we would like to sit in the window area by the bar ,which was great as it was muggy and close ,the door was open so it was nice and certainly plenty of space and cooler . The staff honestly are all polite ,and accommodating too . Chris saw I’d booked online and noticed it was moms Birthday ,he asked if we would all like a glass of bubbly it would be from him ,so that was a very nice gesture .we kindly accepted. The food is always nice and hot and served appropriately timed between courses. We have NEVER had a bad experience here and can only recommend and continue to enjoy visiting. Thank you to ALL the staff at THE BULL.

Always a joy to visit - Chris and his staff are very courteous and make you feel welcome. We called in for a light lunch both having Fish finger sandwichs on warm artisan bread with tartare sauce accompanied by french fries. The atmosphere is always relaxed also. Whatever you require you will enjoy - Highly recommend.

Lunch for about 20 people. We had not pre-ordered yet service was brilliant. Everyone's meal arrived at the same time, which takes some doing with so many meals. Food was so tasty. First time I have been here and will definitely be returning. Thank you to Jack and the girl who looked after us (sorry did not get your name) - first class service.

We had a lovely afternoon at The Bulls Head to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday with family. We were placed in the private dining room which for 12 of us including 3 children was perfect! The staff were lovely especially as the pre-order they'd asked me for, I'd emailed to the wrong address. Although this would have put them back, the manager (I think) reassured me it was fine and didn't make it seem like it was an inconvenience, which I'm sure it would have been. Drinks were never empty and the food (most of the party all had different meals) looked and tasted amazing! We all left very full and happy. Thank you for looking after us so well. Can't wait to visit again!

Our waitress Natalia was absolutely fantastic, great humour, a big smile and service that was unmatched. She couldn’t do enough for us! Everything else was also superb, including the quality of the food. All clean plates by the end! Would recommend it to anyone thinking about it, you won’t regret it!

This is one of our favourite places to eat out as the food is always lovely. Tried the Lamb Duo tonight, think it was the best meal we have had there. Service both fast and friendly from Chris and Jack.

We came here for Sunday Lunch and it was from start to finish fabulous. We arrived early and had a drink outside in the sun, both outside and inside are such a lovely environment. The food was incredible, we had roast dinner and fish and chips. Great size portions and bottomless gravy! But what really stood out was the service, and our waitress, Amanda, was an absolute superstar. She knew the menu inside out and had fantastic recommendations. She made us feel at ease and went above and beyond… A true asset to the company, will be back very soon!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sadly from start to finish an awful experience! BOOKED hence the word booked a family meal for my Birthday, 6pm booking waited a little while at the bar no bother. Seated & then left for 15 minutes ordered drinks…. Took half an hour or so? Lovely waitress apologised for late drinks said the bar got busy, 40 mins on drinks….. we decided 2nd round it was best to go get the drinks ourselves 5 min wait. 6.30pm pre booked table of 20 get seated & they receive their drinks & starters! Got told that our next drinks 2 aperol & one non alcoholic beer was off the bill a kind gesture. Received starters just after 7pm with another mortified apology from the waitress. 7.45 for mains. We then decide we can not wait for desert so ask for the bill 10 mins later the bill arrives incorrect added on the complimentary drinks! Then goes off to sort another 10 mins! We’ve been polite all through the meal. As leaving I see the manager named Chris who I just expressed he was running a S@@t show! He blamed the sun!! Late customers which non were our fault agreed under staffed & tried to palm off with a £50 off next meal! I said we didn’t require that just acknowledgement of very poor service. The place was half full & still can’t provide good service. The manager should have approached us to say it was a mess! Not a great evening experience! Will be cancelling a future booking & highly DO NOT RECOMMEND! Before booking Look at the weather first as you may have a long wait on food & drinks if the sun appears!

Booked the back room for 24 people and every single person expressed how good the food was. Chris and his team went above and beyond to make everybody feel welcome and ensured everything went smoothly. Absolutely outstanding customer service.

The last time my friends and I got together it was at The Bull which was so good we decided to come back! Great choice! Really delighted with the Spring menu ...the sea bass is gorgeous accompanied my a lovely new wine Skeleton Bay. Our waitress Natalya was really friendly and dealt with our awkward allergies really well. Look forward to visiting again soon.

Extremely racist pub Seriously if you are not white then keep well away Seriously this is true and not a fake review I am asian and my partner is of carribean ethnicity we walked in to the pub and sat on a table we was told to move we moved to 4 different tables for then to be told that the who place is fully booked we was given a table at the front next to the main door whilst the whole place was empty then we watched in amazement as while customers walked in and sat anywhere they wanted they was not asked anything at all so I went uo to two couples and asked If they had booked they said no they hadn't it's definitely a extremely racist place we just had the food and left that was a shame as its a nice place with not so nice staffing

First class meals at The Bull. The server Katie was very well versed on all dishes and drinks and nothing was too much trouble for her. Had a good way with the customers and great banter. Made our meals more enjoyable and felt able to relax and enjoy in a lovely environment.Roast meals were more than substantial and very well presented. We still did however manage to squeeze in a sweet - (Rude not to). Crumble was delicious. Thank you Booked by Deb for her hubby and mum and dad. We will be back.

Friendly staff, our waitress Katy was great, very chatty and very helpful. I’m leaving this review because Katy asked me to. The wait for both drinks and food was a long one although Katy really did her best to keep us informed. Three starters between the four of us went down well - mushrooms, scallops and pate were very good. Two mains of fish cakes and two of fish & chips were mixed review’s really. The fish & chips- the batter on the fish was cold but the fish itself was hot, didn’t send it back or complain as we felt we would have to wait all over again and then it spoils the evening. The fish cakes were good, a bit too crisp round the edges but tasted great. Three desserts of two Lemon tart & one cheeseboard to share again were mixed. The lemon tarts were fine. The cheeseboard at £10.75 was the smallest, meanest cheeseboard I’ve ever seen. They couldn’t have cut the cheese any thinner!!The cheese was cut into slithers and the six crackers were like cardboard. We did complain this time and Katy bought another plate which was exactly the same, clearly that is their portion size. To charge £10.75 for that plate was a rip off. It was a long evening with all the waiting time for food.

What great evening at the Bull last night! We were a group of 3 sisters and husbands and decided spontaneously to meet up. We couldn’t have chosen anywhere better as the food was really good and the service was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt that Natalia, our server, went above and beyond. She was really friendly, helpful and funny.

Excellent service. The waitress Katie was so good and knowledgable about food allergies etc. the food was also really good. Katie was was one in a million and made for the job. So welcoming and bubbly.

The food here was as amazing as it always is! But I just had to write a review about our server Katie. She was absolutely incredible. She went above and beyond at every single level making sure we were happy and enjoyed our visit. Well, we certainly did. She made it so memorable, and could not do enough for us, thank you Katie, you are an asset to the place!

Last Friday we had lunch at the Bulls Head in Shenstone. The food was good but the service provided by Natalia was exceptional-the best table service we have encountered in years-well done.

Fab Sunday roast. We were served by Katie who was brill. Quite rare to get such a friendly (and hilarious) waitress. She made great food recommendations and was proactive and helpful.

As foodies it's rare for us to enjoy a meal out without thinking " we could better at home" or " it's fine but....." But this place has really nailed it. Lovely atmosphere,well cooked food with quality ingredients, personalized service on arrival, good pricing and an efficient personable and quite hilarious waitress( Katie) who seamlessly went from recommendations to jolly banter. My husband and I have been here a few times and the atmosphere never fails. From the open fire seats to the cosy tables with a rustic oak surrounding makes you feel right at home. The staff are absolutely amazing, our waitress Katie was such a giggle and very attentive, catering to all our needs. The assistant manager Jack was also so lovely and recommended the best dessert! Great Saturday lunch turned into a 3 course dinner with drinks and comfort. Lovely staff and company. Look forward to coming back to my lovely local. Thank you Team ✌️

On the 9th of February 2024 I took family and friends for dinner after we had been to the funeral of my husband. We couldn't have been made more welcome, they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we wanted, From booking to the actual evening we were treated with care and understanding, the Manager and staff were wonderful, the food was superb and the warm friendly atmosphere made a very sad day end in a relaxed and calm way. Everyone who was there said I couldn't have chosen a better place to say goodbye to my husband.

We have a delicious Sunday lunch today. There was a lovely, cosy atmosphere in the restaurant and our experience was made even more enjoyable by our friendly and tentative waitress, Katie.

Saw that there was 40% off mains here tonight and so thought we might as well give it a go and try this Vintage Inn rather than keep driving past. Didn't start off too well as we were seated at a table where there were full bins next to the table at the side of a pillar and a chill breeze, however, we mentioned this and were immediately moved to a far better table by the window and a radiator! Our server, Katie, was a hoot, incredibly friendly & engaging and would be a real asset to any establishment, it was a shame she had to leave part way through our meal as she had finished her shift. Food was served really quickly, well presented and very tasty, exactly what we needed after a busy few days looking after our Grandson. We will definitely be back and hope Katie is there next time too, fingers crossed 🤞

We've been visiting this pub for over a year now where I thought it was high time I left a review. Situated in the delightful little village of Shenstone, this pub is located on the main route from Sutton Coldfield to Lichfield, so it is very easy to find. Large car park and a friendly greeting awaits you on arrival, lots of tables in various quaint sections of the building, and they have dog friendly areas as a big added plus. The food is excellent and fairly good value for money with an accompanying good range of real ales, lagers and wines to suit your palate. Service is good, even when very busy and, even though this is part of the Vintage Inns chain, this pub has a more extravagant menu than other Vintage Inns in we have visited. Well worth a visit!

Visited today for Sunday lunch party of 10 . Food was excellent & so was the service by Katie . From the moment we arrived we were greeted warmly and thoroughly enjoyed our day .

Great little pub, fantastic food and very clean and quirky inside, i must mention the waitress who looked after not only us but most of the surrounding tables Katie, possibly one of the warmest helpfull hosts i have ever been in the company of she is certainly a credit to the The Bull @ shenstone.

We received a warm welcome and were quickly shown to our table. Nice range of dishes on the menu. We both had roast turkey. It was delicious and there was plenty of it! We didn’t have room for a pudding! We had soft drinks that were a bit on the expensive side.

Visited here on our way back from a shopping trip to Cannock outlet . Have visited here on previous occasions and to be honest we’re never disappointed. Today we chose the hot beef brisket sandwich that came with fries and the Pie of the day both dishes were delicious. We couldn’t say no to a pudding so went for the sticky toffee pudding and the mini pudding of fruit crumble +coffee both were fantastic. We always love the friendly atmosphere here and today both members of staff at the bar were absolutely fabulous.. Eliza who looked after us and many of the other customers along with a young guy ( sorry didn’t get your name ) were awesome . Have to give special mention to Eliza as she is an absolute delight and has the most incredible customer service skills very friendly, genuine and attentive . Can’t wait for our return visit .. see you guys soon thanks !!

Hadn’t been to the Bulls Head for a long time. Visited tonight and had an excellent meal with four of us. I had the fish which was excellent. Tender without bone. Others had chicken and lamb kebabs and one had Ham and Cheese pie. Service was excellent. Would go again. Downside was drinks were very expensive. Still, it all worked out at less than £40/head.

VERY long wait for food but was delicious once it arrived. We then ordered desserts and coffee and whilst the coffee arrived we repeatedly asked where the desserts were. No apology for the delay and then after half an hour the desserts eventually arrived and they were very nice. What a shame. Too many covers for the kitchen and waiting staff to cope with resulting in a disappointing experience.

Always very welcoming. Chris and the team are brilliant and very helpful. Lovely atmosphere with the real fires going. Food is great, and never too much trouble to make little adjustments to requirements if needed. Very dog friendly which we love.

Went to this place on a Friday and it was packed. We've been before and had quite a good time. Checked in and the table wasn't ready so as suggested we had a drink. I could see lots of other diners coming in after we did and being led to their tables, I had a feeling we'd been forgotten but after a reminder we were suddenly next! Food was so, so. 3 of us had the "Signature Burger" which sounded promising but the burger was really tough and not like a burger at all, more like a solid lump of meat. The rest of it was fine. My biggest problem with these places now is the astronomical costs, over £5 for a pint of bitter, more for lager, £7.80 for 3 tonics etc! They'll say it reflects their costs but I think it reflects their profits! It's likely we'll go back but with the prices they're charging it'll be less frequently - their loss.

We visited for a very special Birthday lunch and we’re not disappointed. The food was excellent in a lovely room with very attentive and welcoming staff. They were very busy but we were looked after very well by Eliza. The service was great and we were not rushed. We will be back soon.

Arranged a meeting with colleagues here as this is my favourite pub. The current staff are top notch, always very helpful . Katie was our server today and did a great job. Caroline, one of the Managers, is also super helpful and goes the extra mile to ensure you're happy. Really pleased I could bring the extra business their way today 😁. Food is always good, I especially love the mini desserts! Lunch two course menu is great value. 👍👍👍

Booked for my birthday and have to say it was a very good experience. The food was excellent, no rush but no long waits. Service by Katie was brilliant, she made the experience rememberable, very friendly and would definitely recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner.
