Amazing, and friendly staff, as always! But what’s the deal with the tiny baby sized bar snacks? Those ramekins are good for two things, rationing out ketchup - and amusing chihuahua helmets. *I will make it clear that the Photo was taken after two ravenous dips

I’ve visited a few times and the place is fairly hit and miss. On my most recent visit I popped in for lunch and shared the baked Camembert with fries with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. The food came with a generous amount of bread and was cooked perfectly. We could hear the chefs shouting at each other quite aggressively from our seats though which was slightly off putting. The beers however, left a lot to be desired.

Probably the worst pub meal I have ever had. All three of us ordered Meat pie and Chips. We were asked to pay in advance (now I know why!) The pie looked good and there were plenty of chips which were hot and fresh. The pie was terrible, the inside looked like something made in Poland or similar in hard times. The meat was cut into such tiny pieces almost unchewable (goodness knows what cut of meat they used it was so tough, lots of runny gravy and a few frozen veg chucked in. No food supplier would have made this, it was homemade, I wish I'd taken a photograph, I'd never go there again apart from maybe a pint or two.

I was at The Bull last night for a family member’s wedding reception. They had rented a room upstairs to host the party. The atmosphere was amazing. The service was incredible and really quick. We were served by Ella a lot who was really friendly and helpful. It was a really lovely experience and everyone has an amazing night.

I went in for a quiet pint on a Sunday evening.I got served straight away.I ordered a pint of Beck's Viers and when I took my first sip it tasted like vinegar.I was offered an alternative which I accepted.Very disappointed with that pint as I have never had a problem with the pints of beer I was served in the past.

Arrived 15 minutes before our reservation but was told that our seat was available. Not told that the kitchen was not open and when we asked to order one of the waiters told us that the kitchen was closed due to a party and that we can order in 5 minutes once they see what is left over from the party - that should have been a warning sign Our roast dinner was disappointing to say the least and that is being nice. The roast pork was dry with one tiny piece, no roast potatoes, not even one half of a carrot and some braised cabbage which was not bad. The price was such a rip off and wish that we had gone to the weatherspoons around the corner. Will not be going back here again.

Pre dinner drinks in this wonderful pub, in a building which Winston used during the 2nd WW. One of our group had a pornstar, another a vodka Negroni & the two men had excellent beers. The barmaid showed us where Winston sat. Not the seat - wasn't a pub then - but the exact spot.

Disappointing experience. Came in the evening with a group of family and friends. Admitted there was a lot of us but it took ages for the food to arrive. One member of our group did not get her meal until an hour after all the others and only after two complaints. By that time she didn’t want to eat on her own (everyone else had finished their meals) and she wasn’t hungry. The waitress agreed not to charge for her meal which was some consolation at least! Will think twice before returning. The food was ok but not a great variety of choice

We visited the bull yesterday and I must admit we had a great time all 18 of us roast dinner was very nice but the fish and chips was so late and was awful. Isobel our waitress was exceptional nothing was too much trouble and she was practically on her own I don’t know how she coped.

Having visited the Bull every Sunday while the farmers market is on and been impressed with service and food, decided to book for a birthday meal for the family and dog. However this was not their best day, to caveat the waitress was extremely apologetic and we had 25% off the bill to apologise. We booked in advance and had to pre-order we then naively assumed that out four food would be delivered quickly. It wasn’t Sat down at 3 with reservation and all food pre-ordered, starters arrived at 3:20 by 3:55 had to ask when food was arriving it did at 4:15, both beef roast dinners arrived cold and had to be sent back, then when they did arrive one of the orders was wrong which meant that one of our party didn’t eat. Although appreciate the apologies from the waiting service maybe this was just an off day but as we had to pre -order in advance and had lots of message from The Bull about what would happen if we were late etc was really disappointed That the service and quality of food that we received was so bad.

Rain stopped. Sun came out. We sat next to Winston and had a great time. The boys had a beer and the girls "porn star" cocktails. Delicious!

Went for a family lunch, the garden is really well prepared for all weather and feels covid safe. The girl who served us was really lovely, I didn't get her name but we had come from the cemetery and a friendly attitude goes a really long way in making a difficult day that much easier and she was great. I was happy to find they had gluten free burger buns (I had looked at the menu online and it didn't look very gluten free friendly but turned out they had options and were adaptable). Burger was delicious, better than your average pub burger. Good GF bun ad well, it held together! Not sure why there are a few bad reviews as I thought everything was perfect. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

Really really disappointed with our visit here today. The garden looks great and thought it would be the perfect place to drop in for breakfast however, after we were seated we were pretty much ignored by the staff. Had to chase to get served and when we did the food took forever to arrive and didn’t taste great. Had to ask a further three times for our coffees which eventually came out cold and when we had nearly finished our food. The only thing that got brought to us without having to chase was the bill. I don’t think I would bother going here for food again unfortunately.

Great to sit in the sun or under cover in the rain. Lot's of space. They make everyone feel safe by following Covid rules. Recommend!

I came to the bull with a few friends this evening and was greeted by a few busy bar staff. Considering the circumstances I understand as we have just come out of lockdown however the service was ridiculous. My friends had brought some pizza and was sitting outside with it. All of a sudden a man (the manager Paul ) we didn’t know at the time. He said “ are you ducking taking the piss, pack your shirt up and leave before I put my foot in your food”. I completely understand the food shouldn’t have been there but wow i am astonished at the behaviour and disrespect we received from a manger in your company. I generally think he was being extremely patronising as we were women. I will not be returning to this place. Customer service and respect is not in Paul’s vocabulary. A man got involved and he tried to revoke himself. Get some manners and respect Paul. Thanks. I hope you sleep well knowing that you degrade women.

Hadn't been since lockdown / changed from manor house, but the Bull is still the same great place. the beer garden makes it - especially at the moment with the covers and heaters, great place for meeting friend within the rules. The food is still...

Zero customer service. I’d advise they completely change the management or close this altogether as the blonde “manager” was incapable of getting two drinks delivered after waiting for an hour and with multiple bar staff. It beggars belief that someone in the hospitality field is...
