turned up on way home from day out with family ,staff were friendly and polite had some very nice food very enjoyable and not over busy which i myself prefer will vist again soon

Meal was really good, the service from Michelle was excellent very friendly, efficient, thoughtful, in fact she made the evening exceptional.

We can't comment on the food as we walked out. The Resturant was not busy. There was no host the bar and waiting staff actively avoided making eye contact with customers. Could not care less came to mind. Have up before getting fed.The was one a nice place to eat no you can't even get served. Very poor show indeed.

Nos decepcionó, comer en un restaurante relativamente tranquila y el servicio era pobre. Pedimos una ensalada cuando la comida fue entregado, por lo que nunca se materializó y sal y vinagre y mayonesa llegó después de que habíamos comido la mitad de la comida. Por el precio, el único vegetal era una olla de col y el costo deberían haber sido al menos dos veces el tamaño.

Visite aquí para celebrar el 86 cumpleaños del tío, así que reservamos con antelación que era necesario, ya que el lugar estaba lleno. En estar sentados, nos dimos cuenta de que el lugar necesitaba algunas reparaciones debido a asientos desgarrada y los niveles de polvo en algunas zonas. Sin embargo, la mesa estaba limpia. Pedimos una selección de comida de que estaba buenísimo. Por desgracia, el servicio era lento por la comida. Caso teníamos casi terminado nuestros desiertos antes de latte llegó a mi Tío, que pedimos para ser entregado en el sametime a pesar de los recordatorios. Uno más cosa mencionar fue el de los inodoros que cleanleness necesitaba ser mejorado. En general, la comida muy buena, pero las necesidades de lugar algunas reparaciones.

We had a really nice lunch from the fixed price menu, calamari, followed by chicken schnitzel and fish and chips. Very good value for money.

Must admit am a bit picky and am not eating carbs but ordered half lobster and cheese burger no bun and buttered beans but when it turned up I got a burnt burger and beans (no butter but with peas which I didn't order) and then told the lobster wasn't available making it too late to order anything else. Also the burger was like a brick just very poor had been looking forward to a nice meal all day. Never mind !! Lesson learned

Fuimos con la familia para una comida maravillosa y servicio. La comida estaba cocinada a la perfección y el servicio era muy profesional y el personal se las arregló con 14 personas en el grupo, se sirve todos los diversos campos como y cuando fueron requeridos y nadie estaba olvidado o a la izquierda.

Well as before we use to be regulars at this Eaterie so we returned a second time and as before it was still not busy, as we were shown to a table our orders were placed the wife had a lasagne and I went for sausage and mash the drinks came quick and not long after our food the lasagne was delightful plenty of flavour and hot as was my sausage and mash only slight thing was the gravy was a bit runny for my liking but it wasn't worth moaning about the rest was fine .To finish off I had the waffles and summer fruits and the wife the ice cream in a glass with all the trimmings both were great. I do hope this is a upward direction from what it had become and we are going to try a 3rd time to see if it stays ok

We went here early on a Friday evening

Mi esposa y yo estábamos de camping de al lado, así que este era la opción obvia para una comida, ya que no hay otros lugares cercanos.

La comida era sosa. No pedir una gran relación calidad-precio era 3 ej lado espárragos espárragos con mucho vinagre y el final de woody no cortar. Muchos huesos en el filete de lubina. 3 patatas cortadas por la mitad como más. El personal parecía plana. Hicieron su trabajo, pero no era muy cálido y acogedor.

Just been on a Sunday with a group of 20. Due to being a large group we had to order the starter and main course a week before which is understandable. Asked to arrive by 11.45 as they would open earlier to be seated by 12.00. Spent quite a while standing outside in the cold waiting to be let in by staff. After entering we were left for quite a while why they seemed to be tidying up from the night before. Eventually seated and ordered drinks. Waitress was brilliant and couldn't do enough for everyone . Food was fairly quick and mostly good. Few of the portions were a bit on the small side for the price. Everyone was of the opinion that the food was reasonably good. Personally wouldn't rush back but may retry in the future. Good access for disabled people with ramps available for a few of the steps.

Had a really lovely dinner here. Food was well cooked and the service was spot on. It's owned by Miller and Carter so looks like the rest in the chain but for a chain restaurant the food was perfect. Would highly recommend!

As steak house chains go, this restaurant gives God value for money. The surroundings are spacious and the service is cheerful and efficient. The food is straightforward, not very original but satisfying. For a family lunch or a place to meet friends, you could do worse.

This is a Miller and Carter restaurant owned by Mitchell's and Butler still with the sign up as the Dick Turpin. We went for a weekday lunch at around 1 pm and there weren't many tables but it wasn't too long before more tables filled up. The waitress was very nice. We ordered a glass of Shiraz which had to be changed as it left a cloying aftertaste. I asked if the bottle had been an opened one and she said it had been opened the day before. We had a different wine a Cabernet which was 11 percent against the 13 percent and it was better in taste. We both had the cheesy mushrooms with bread which were nice and my friend had the bream with mashed potato and peas as the main and I had the fish and chips with peas and the fish was a bit bland and quite oily. Two main courses were just under £11 each and the Apple crumble sweet which was served with either custard or ice cream was very nice and cost an extra £3 each. This was off the smaller cheaper menu. The bill with wine was just over £35 for two. Steak here is very expensive on the a la carte menu. Not a cheap meal by all standards but we enjoyed the service and ambiance. I would revisit but there are places with nice food and cheaper around this area.

We were camping on the site next door and decided to give it a try. Tidy from the outside and attractively furnished within, this pub is part of a chain but the food, beer and service are all excellent. I had a ribeye steak (also excellent) and they actually had lee and perrins to go with it!!Not cheap but you don' mind paying it if you've enjoyed it.

See review for Miller & Carter. It was much better when it was the Dick Turpin. A sad loss. The food is now not reliable and the wait in-between courses can be very long. Atmosphere is not very good either. Little better than a motorway café with alcohol.

lovely reasonably priced lunch , they know how to cook a steak , however not enough staff on , the food took forever to arrive

This Miller and Carter is in a good location and has a very comfortable bar area. The bar staff is polite but not always available but if you look by the coffee machine you will usually find them.The restaurant is steakhouse based and is good for light lunches or quick meals.

We went to The Dick Turpin at Aldbourough road south last night and have to say that for what it cost and the quality of there steaks we would have been better off going to a Harvester.The decor and ambience was great but the food toom forever to come to the table and when it arrived it did not in any way live up to to the hype on there menu.Very disappointed, We will not be going back...
