The Bull in Thurrock

Had a lovely Boxing Day meal for my daughter’s 21st for 19 people. Food was delicious and great value. Staff were all lovely and they even gave her a complementary bottle of Prosecco which was really lovely, Thank you. Venue was cosy and was a great atmosphere.

First visit here for a while and I can't recommend it enough, particularly if you're gluten free. They were very clued up, cooked my chips separately from others, lots of choice including gluten free brioche buns for my burger. The service was also excellent - as a wheelchair user they couldn't be more helpful. Will definitely be returning.

4 of us visited the bull for drinks and a light lunch.The only reason I have given this a "one" is because of the decor of the place.i don't mind paying 23 quid for 2 double gins ...but give us a decent gin glass not a plastic one ..we are not children.Also the service was beyond diabolical ...no staff tables cluttered and dirty and the MANAGER stood chatting on his phone the whole time we were there...which resulted in my friends food order not turning up as we was not concentrating ..and ten I KID YOU NOT !!! I watched him eat her food...he thought it was an over order. we did not complain ...we JUST WILL NOT RETURN ...DREADFUL

Enjoyed our last meal out before lock down! Have been to this pub a few times in the past but never had the chance to sample their food! The steak was good to perfection and the chimichurri sauce was excellent! Starters was also very nice, grilled prawns and calamari were they tasty with a nice dip to go with! Will definitely be back once the restaurant is allowed to re open!

Had a well deserved catch up with friends at The Bull, we pre-booked a table & had food & drinks. Management were over compensating when a cocktail ordered was not up-to standards & replaced it. Food was nice, although eating from cardboard plates with wooden knives & forks was an experience you can’t judge during a pandemic all businesses are trying to make the right decisions. We felt safe in terms of social distancing so much so our group stayed for nearly 10 hours 😶 when we wanted to move to a booth management accommodated our late request & we had a lovely evening, will definitely return.
