Great pub for families, indoor soft play are so you can relax have a nice meal whilst kids can play. Kids meals good size the kids chilli con carne was delicious, carvery was nice but very busy with quite a que. My husbands steak pie was amazing he was very happy. Had a lovely time. We will be back when next on the IOW

Good choice on menu. All meals ordered were great. Carvery very nice also. Decent play ground for children and ample parking.

Wonderful Sunday carvery with great service with a smile and sense of humour.

We visited as a party of 9 (5 children, 4 adults) while we were on holiday in the Isle of Wight. The Bugle Inn was fantastic: -perfect for families as it has a soft play and an outdoor park. The soft play is also slightly out of the way so doesn’t disrupt the rest of the customers -staff were really friendly and accommodating -the food was homemade, tasty and fresh whilst also being very reasonably priced. Would 100% recommend.

Halfway decent pub if you like lack lustre microwaved meals Ps don't consider for a moment stopping here,I spent my anniversary there.last year rooms are awful moldy well past their sell date..so nosy my wife and I had to sleep on a bench outside managed (at least last year) by an incompetent idiot unprepared to be reasonable and wouldn't.even listen to my...and some of his neighbours legitimate complaints. Hated it I do not recommend

I love this place. The food is really good quality. There is a lovely indoor play area which is perfect for us as I have a toddler who won’t sit still. It does get a little bit busy on the weekends so might be sung especially on Sunday for a carvery. The only reason it isn’t five start in my view is the toilets arnt the cleanest and the floor is peeling up in corners of the toilet. The outside play park is a little scary looking with some of the bridges and the wobbly bits. But that’s just from having a toddler.

Amazing pie deal, so much meat in the pie, huge serving and very filling. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff, great place.

Really loved ou visit to the Bugle. Really welcoming people. Great atmosphere and quirky feel to the place. Our homemade pizzas were outstanding. Traditional pub feel not overly frilly, but still has class and warmth. Family area, log fire and great choice in beer.

We found this pub on our holiday, came nearly every night as each member of our party enjoyed the food and staff were friendly and accommodating. It's nice to find somewhere that does a wide variety of pub grub, with a nice family atmosphere. Hopefully we will visit again on our next holiday.

We stopped here for dinner while on our stay on the IoW. The staff were very friendly. The food was really nice. Plenty of choice on the menu. Good portion sizes too! If we are back on the Island we will be popping back to visit.

Local pub with a large car park serving really good food, chilli burgers & chilli 🌶 with a jacket potato, excellent!! They serve fentimans soft drinks if that's your pleasure 😊 they do a "pie night" & "curry night" highly recommended 5*

We had vouchers to use for discounted burgers making it a very reasonably priced meal. However the taste was very average. The chips and coleslaw were nice, but to be honest we’ve had better burgers at other establishments. We enjoyed our desserts though and our favourite band was playing that evening so we did have a really good time.

Staff were helpful It would have been nice to have different cheeses and also ham together for the ploughman and the toilets definitely need updating/fixing/cleaning. 👍

Went as a family group of 8, food was lovely. We had booked but opted to sit outside as the weather was great. The staff didn't mind this at all. Only negative was there were no parasols up to shade from the sun. But that's a small thing! Love eating at the bugle!

Nice pub the inside and outside are well maintained and the service was quick but the food very very average improve on the food side substantially and this would be a five star smashing pub

This pub is run down, sticky and in need of a total refurb. Despite the friendly staff, I think I had the worst curry that mankind/womankind has, to date, ever created! In addition to this gastronomic disaster the burger, which the menu tells us is made from the finest quality beef, produced on the island, was in fact the entire opposite. Overcooked, and of the poorest quality, it was the perfect companion to the 'curry.' All in all, not a great experience.

Lots of money invested in an excellent refurbishment but let down by poor service and food. Disappointing and won’t rush back despite amazing location. Early season so wishing the new management good luck in turning it around.

Not eaten at the Bugle for some time not for any reason, joined friends tonight to try the all you can eat curry night "Tuesdays" and we were very happy will be eating there again well done.

Been here a few times now for a carvery, it never disappoints. Food is fantastic, it's a very welcoming place, also it's dog friendly too. It's a good place to go if you have children, indoor play area, they also have a garden and play area

First time visit with family .Had the carvery and have to say everything was fantastic and well cooked. Good value. Also indoor soft play was a bonus for the little ones. Plenty of parking spaces.

It didn't start well when my pint of the usually very reliable Doom bar was cloudy. So that went back for ok lager. We had shepherds pie and lasagna and neither where hot enough. As my wife said there was nothing of quality on our plates.Both went back for a no quibble refund. We haven't done that for many years. There was a dirty beer glass on the shelf and the toilets needed a really good clean. Nothing to recommend it.

Had a fantastic Sunday carvery very tasty loads of meat veg hot went for 3pm still busy food really was amazing came to £120 for 9 people...great for kids has a play area plenty of areas to go if a bit noisy..staff are lovely nice rustic interior.Loved it cannot wait to go again.Good beers to be had.nice outside area and play park.

What a fantastic pub!!! The locals & bar staff were so friendly (big up Eddie Murphy!) The owners let us park our camper-van in the very large car park over night. Food was fabulous. Pub was dog friendly. A really warm & inviting pub. Definitely recommend. We will be back! Thank you :)

Food was excellent and I highly recommend 👌. Burgers 🍔 my son told me were the best he had ever had. We were a party of roughly 20ish. Not one person said that they were disappointed. All 100% agreed the food was great 👍. We have been to the Bugle Inn for many years but it went down hill and now the place has been brought to life again. Well done to whom it maybe. See you soon 😊. Another island pub with short measured pints. I don’t make a point of telling staff to top up, I shouldn’t have to. As always, I will try again some time in the future and amend my review if appropriate.

Good food great service and an altogether great find.

Fantastic food in a lovely pub. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! The lasagne came with garlic bread and chips. The kids meal was just right for my 10 year old daughter. Will definitely be visiting again.

Had Sunday Lunch Carvery. The choice of meats and veggies was great. Service was great, even though it was busy and the atmosphere was lovely and friendly, noisy but not in an invasive way at all - lots of families, couples - young and old, small groups all enjoying themselves. I didn't notice any single diners but feel that I could quite happily have dined there on my own. Although it was busy, there was plenty of parking, and we had a disabled space just by the gate. I use a crutch for mobility and was able to get to our table easily. Disabled toilet facilities were fine too.

There is a huge selection of food including plenty of options for people with dietary requirements. It is also lovely having a small indoor soft play area for the children to keep them entertained (as most parents will know, they often get bored sitting at a table waiting for food!) Also it is great to find a pub that offers more than just chicken nuggets and food for the children! There were lots of options and our children enjoyed a chickpea and sweet potato curry with rice and peas.

Was lucky enough to dine at The Bugle Inn on Tuesday evening where I opted for their all-you-can-eat curry. There was a choice of beef madras, chicken tikka and vegetable curry, with sides of popadoms, naan and Bombay potatoes. Being hungry at the time I chose a bit from all three and was thoroughly impressed with each choice. The quality of the meat in both the madras and tikka meals was superb; the beef melted in your mouth and tasted amazing. All the sauces you used were delicious; with just the right amount of spice used; so as to keep our tastebuds and lips tingling for quite some time afterward, but not too overpowering. Aside from the actual food, the pub has a very warm and inviting atmosphere, friendly staff, and good choice of beer! If you're in and around the Brading area of IOW then I strongly recommend you check out the Bugle Inn.

Mm, really expecting a great roast. All tables were reserved so we ended up on a high table. There was a variety of meats and vegetables but it was bland. Also not very hot either. It looks nice though but lacked flavour and seasoning. The stuffing was really nice though. Not as good as some, shame as it's not cheap either

Good hearty and enjoyable food, with a menu catering for all tastes. Carvery on a Sunday, and Curry and Pie nights alongside the standard menu on Tuesdays and Fridays respectively. Friendly and helpful staff. Very spacious inside, with a family area at the back, a good back garden, and plenty of parking. Looking forward to our next visit.

Menu not too extensive or expensive, options including vegetarian. The specials were good. I had lasagne, which was really tasty. Friends had steak and kidney pudding and leek and mushroom tart. Sticky toffee pudding and Brownie for dessert! Will be going again soon!

We stopped in at lunchtime on a weekday so it was very quiet. The staff were lovely and very attentive and the food was absolutely incredible. We thought the prices were very reasonable considering the portion sizes and the quality. Wish I lived on the Island so I could come back on a regular basis😩

Ate the buffet Sunday roast. Meat and roast potatoes were very nice, cauliflower cheese needed more cheese as tasteless.

Been here a couple of times now, do an incredible rump steak. Honestly the best meal out I've ever had. Great place, reasonable prices and great atmosphere 🥰

Sorry to say that the food was poor. Cold lumpy soup. Chicken curry a miserly amount,popadoms the size of a 50p and a nan not much bigger. Wafer thin Gammon burnt,chips. Overall not impressed at all.

My visit was a Sunday carvery lunch. Very busy at 1.30, with most tables in use, so would recommend booking. Servery was very efficient, with choice of small or large plate by purchasing ticket at the bar. Three meats available with stuffing and Yorkshire puddings. Large choice of vegetables to serve yourself, constantly topped up. Some people may find the busy noisy atmosphere with multiple TV screens a bit distracting. Overall good value Sunday carvery lunch. Other menu items are also available to order.

Lovely staff, things to do for children and food okay.

1. Staff pleasant & helpful 2. I'm egg, dairy and gluten intolerant and asked if I chose the soup did they have a vegan spread -? No was the reply and yet it tells you on the menu to let the staff know if you have allergies or intolerances . 3. Nothing much on menu I could eat so I chose 2 sides of chips and salad - it did mention these chips were skin on fries 🤮 so I was upset n very disappointed in these . I asked if it could be put on a plate so I could eat it. As I said staff are very pleasant. 4. My husnands £££ pie and new potatoes was awful all over cooked with soggy squashy new overcooked potatoes and veg. He left most of it. Told staff - no refund offered. I wouldn't not eat here again which is sad as it's gone downhill since last visit and prices gone up. Lovely little kids indoor soft play.

I went for lunch with some of the family, the pub was busy but there didn't seem to be many staff about. The normal menu wasn't very inspiring, so I was pleased to a prawn dish on the specials board. Battered butterfly prawns on a bed of salad drivelled with sweet chilli sauce. It was a bit pricy but prawns are expensive. I asked for no sauce. I was shocked to see just 3 smallish prawns on lots of lettuce with half a tomato. Whilst tasty for the price charged 3 prawns was an insult. Another family member had the same but with sauce, which was not drizzled but in a little pot in the middle of the plate. Very disappointing, and the salad wasn't much to write home about. Too expensive and poorly described.

Fantastic for al fresco lunch or dinner with amazing sea views coupled with great food and wine. Service excellent.

The best Sunday lunch we have had on the island and we have been coming here for 30 years but for some reason have not tried the bugle but now we have we deffo will be back.

This is a special Pub with various different specials on, child friendly with out door area to play, dog friendly a family atmosphere. Staff very accomodating polite couldn't do enough for you. We made a few visits down to this Pub.

Great food here. However, service has gone downhill, staff stood around the till doing nothing. No staff walking the floor checking things. 3 people came up till to ask for things whilst staff stood there. Keep running out roast dinners despite ordering them first to be told then run out. Kitchen/service communication is not good. This has happened to us numerous times now let’s down the good food.

Our starters were left in the kitchen, and when they did bring them out, the waiter said sorry they forgot them, and now your mains are ready as well, so would he like them as well we said no food was nothing to shout about at least I was not charge the 10% service charge as compensation.

Stopped off for a carvery on the way back to our campsite. Very busy pub, friendly staff and the food was lovely. Wife got a small and I got a medium carvery, but to be fair not much difference in plate size it's just the amount of meat you get, veg option was good too. Recommend for the carvery

The Bugle on the Isle of Wight is a fantastic spot! Their carvery roast is excellent, a must-try. The indoor and outdoor children's areas keep kids entertained, while the pool is a hit with everyone else. Great family-friendly destination!

Managed to get a booking here for their Friday Pie and a pint night, after witnessing their curry night the Tuesday before. Got there early so the grandchildren enjoyed playing on the garden whilst we enjoyed a pint outside. The meal itself was very nice, they serve up a large portion of the pie of your choice, 3 on this visit, and you help yourself to vegetables. It was certainly good value for money. After the meal, my eldest grandson and I had a few games of pool, whilst the youngest one enjoyed himself in indoor play area. Service was good and friendly. It was very busy and I suggest that if there is more than 2 of you then you need to book, especially in the school holidays.

Got a large group in last minute, great service and friendly staff,great food,well presented. Park and soft play for children and reasonably priced,compared to some other pubs on the island .Will be back again. Thank you

We've been a couple times for a Sunday Carvery and absolutely love it. The food is always so tasty and lots of fresh stuff constantly coming out. Bar service is always quick and friendly and would recommend booking as it gets busy!

Huge tasty home cooked meals and a lovely family atmosphere. Huge bear garden with play equipment for kids. Unsurprisingly it’s really popular so would recommend booking especially on the weekends. Curry night was great too. Definitely worth a visit if your in and around Brading/ Sandown

Lovely pub/restaurant. Family friendly, with a nice little play area for the kids. Food is delicious and cooked to a high standard. Definitely recommend! We went more than once. Reasonable prices too.

Called in here whilst driving through for a meal. No problem getting a table for two. Menu was average, not too much choice but enough for everyone to choose from. I had a look at the children's menu (no children with us) and that looked great value for money. We both had steak. Beautifully presented and cooked, I'd go as far as to say it was the best steak I've had in a very long time. Hospitality was welcoming and friendly. Large car park for customers.

We've visited the Isle of Wight and ended up having a dinner here when the Pie special was on. I have to say one of the best pies (turkey and leek) I've had in years. Very generous serving and also the sides were spot on. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend stopping in for dinner and pints.

We came here special for the carvery. I can honestly say it was the best carvery we've ever had. I'd try and describe in detail what the good was like, but I don't know where to start. All I will say is this is highly recommended and hope those reading this will go and find out for themselves what a treat they are in for. This is a dog friendly place, great for family visitors. We've come here on every visit and left knowing we will visit once more. Welcoming and friendly staff. I really can't find any fault. Thank you for our meals.

We love coming here for a carvery on a Sunday, every time the food is delicious, constantly being topped up and hot. The girls behind the bar are so nice and friendly and the waitresses.

We had a lovely lunch, sat outside. Lovely garden and play area for the kids too. I would recommend.

Hands down the best carvery I have ever had, food off the regular menu is absolutely delicious, it's pub food but the quality of it speaks for itself, very family friendly but not in your face with it and amazing value

If your looking for a quiet place this isn’t it, but it’s lovely to hear the children playing, lots for them to do, outdoor and indoor play areas, children’s books and everything lovely pool table, and amazing food, very big portions and very in expensive! Very quick service, only took ten minutes for four meals! :) lovely cat in the garden but does not like dogs!

My husband and myself go to the Bugle regularly and find it warm and welcoming from the staff,who always seem happy and friendly.The food has again always been very good and well presented (with the carvery being one of our favourites) and with a good range of choice.

After a successful Sunday roast visit we returned with friends and family on Friday Pie Night. We had a selection of meals, those that tried the pies were very enthusiastic. I had the Bugle burger and it was the best. Two different curries were enjoyed...

Great carvery at a great price,will defiently go back

We visited for the Sunday carvery. It was really good, probably one of the best roasts we've had outside of the house. Food was hot, there was plenty of it and service was good even though it was extremely busy. Only thing that was a negative for us, was we were only allowed our table for an hour and a half. I think if you book a table you shouldn't be pressured to leave after an hour and a half and that wasn't explained when I phoned to book. It was a shame as we would of liked to stay for more drinks/coffee etc.
