The most fantastic find on Bank Holiday Monday! The quality of the breakfast was 10/10 with friendly service and fun watching the steam trains go by. We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic Staff!!! Only the second time we have visited, can not fault the staff and the quality of the ingredients. Slightly over priced compared to competitors but when the food arrives you are defiantly getting value for money (you pay for what you get ) freshly cooked and piping hot. Everything was perfect. Thank you!

The outside of the building may not look too inviting, but the welcome inside was warm and friendly. Though the cafe was both busy and short staffed we did not have long to wait for our food and drink. We had a bacon and egg roll and a bacon and chips roll. Both were frwsh and perfectly cooked. The chips deserve a special mention as they were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The cafe was good value for money. I would happily return again.

Two years on from my last review and we were back at Haworth for the Steam Gala on the railway. First call was the cafe to stock up with cakes and other goodies for the day. I can confirm it is still as good as ever and prices are still very reasonable! It is small, does get busy so service can be slow. Allow plenty of time to stock up before catching the train

Lovely place, just opposite Haworth station. Stopped here as our b&B didn't serve hot breakfasts and really pleased we did. Had a full English with added spam - all very nice and good quality - locally sourced too, and you can tell. Really good quality, even the black pudding and really nice sausage. It was nice to have plum tomatoes. Bacon was slightly more well done than I'd have liked but apart from that it was all cooked perfectly. Nice toast to go with it and very good coffee too. Breakfasts served all day with a good choice. Friendly, cosy and highly recommended.

Not impressed, no coffee machine, not even bean to cup, a bit down market for Howarth, I had a jacket potato with pulled pork, but the potato wasn't very warm never mind hot and wasn't properly cooked inside, and the pulled pork had had some sort of relish mixed in with it, this should be on the side as I am a diabetic and do not need extra sugar, I ate what I could and left the rest, the hot chocolate was pretty dire too.

Fabulous wee cafe opposite Haworth station. Decent menu with plenty of choice, especially breakfast options. Staff were friendly. Several staff from the railway were coming in for food so it seemed a popular choice.

Visited this cafe twice whilst staying in Haworth overnight due to a trip on the Flying Scotsman at the steam railway. Enjoyed a good quality takeaway coffee with oat milk and then next morning we visited again for breakfast. We were staying at a local AirBnB which we had to vacate by 10am so the 8am opening time made it a relaxing morning, knowing cafes often don’t open until 9am or later at weekends. Whilst the cafe was busy due to the Flying Scotsman weekend (good business for them!)- we didn’t mind waiting and soaking up the world going by from one of the pavement tables. The butties when they arrived - one bacon and egg, one bacon, sausage and tomato - were very good quality and tasty. And reasonable value too.

I’ve been coming to this cafe a few years no and I can not believe it has taken me this long to discover their wonderful chips… hand made, chunky as you like, perfectly cooked and a ideal accompaniment to the beef chilli. What can I say but thanks! If you visit Haworth and your looking for something tasty, locally sourced and value for money then the best by far is the buffet car! (Opposite Haworth train station.)👍

Yet another visit to this wonderful gem of a cafe!! The food has been consistently good every time I’ve visited. Brought my mum and dad this time… on entering we were greeted with a warm welcoming smile by a very polite young lady, and we were seated inside. We all ordered breakfast and what a breakfast it was.. all the produce was quality and not wholesale rubbish. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and look forward to our next visit.. thank you buffet car.

Me and my wife are vegans. I had the vegan breakfast for 7.85 or 8.85 which came with a coffee. My wife had a vegan sausage bap with onions(not "barm cake", btw). The breakfast came with 2 lovely sausages, 3 hash browns, beans, toms, mushrooms and two slices of lovely real bread. It was piping hot, perfectly presented. My wife was similarly impressed with her bap. No complaints. Coffee was great and oat milk provided. The place itself is tiny and only 6 or 7 people can sit in, but it's well worth a trip. A lot of the places in Haworth are pricey and a bit poncey(sorry) but the Buffet Car is a hidden gem!

Had a day on the KWVR and popped in early for a coffee. The breakfast looked so good calling back later seemed like a plan. A good move as it’s impossible to fault the quality or quantity of what we had. The care taken is reflected in the toast, two slices. Not just sliced bread but proper thick cut bloomer. Quality.

Called this afternoon for a cup of tea and a snack. Wonderful little Caffè. Staff great and caring. Asked if we wanted caffeine or decaff tea. Lovely cup of tea. I had a cheese and tomato toasties. It was two very thick slices of fresh cut bread with loads of filling. Honestly say its the best one I have ever had. Staff even gave the dog a couple of treats. Prices were very reasonable.

I visit this cafe often so I thought it was about time I wrote a review. The food is awesome especially the hunters chicken/halloumi sandwich. Caters for all tastes.. Vegan, Vegetarian, Meat eaters.. Most ingredients are locally sourced avoiding wholesalers which means prices are fair but a little more than other wholesale based cafes but in my opinion totally worth it for the taste! Responsible packaging and great service! If your visiting Haworth or you live local it a must visit!

Across the road from Haworth Station, this is just the place for breakfast before going on the train, or to buy cakes to eat on it! We were later arriving than intended, so didn't have time for a bacon butty, but did get stocked up with cakes - ginger (rich, gooey and very gingery) lemon drizzle (light and lemony) and flapjacks (very tasty with lots of fruit, and definitely kept us going!) Prices are very reasonable too. This is a real find and well worth a visit.

This Cafe is right opposite the station on the fantastic Keighley and Worth Railway .It is cosy and a massive favourite destination for any railway goers and tourists . The key thing is the food ,which is fresh cooked and locally sourced bacon ,black pudding and sausages are all from an award winning local butcher . Nothing is too much trouble for owner Paula ,who with her staff keep it spotless and clean . The cakes are yummy too if you just want something lighter . We had big breakfasts which were huge ,and included fried Spam ,which with a big mug of tea and hearty toast was enough for the rest of the day ..You can also prebook a breakfast to save on time too because it does get busy .Try it ,you will not be disapointed . It is always a highlight of my trips to the Railway and not to be missed ,fantastic food ,and lovely staff .

Nice traditional cafe sittuated in the heart of Howarth. Friendly staff. Decent full English breakfast which included fresh butcher bacon and sausage. Very tasy food and a generous portion at a reasonable price. Did not merit the full five stars as the food was a bit cold. Would definately return here and have no problem in recommending the establishment.

WE dropped in to the Buffet Car Cafe for lunch after enjoying a morning on the Keighley and Worth Valley steam railway.People can eat inside at cosy tables while there are also some tables outside, but all were taken when we arrived. The main dining area is quite quirky with shelves and other things made from pipework, railway memorabilia on the walls and the comfortable feeling that you are in a little haven from the outside world. We ordered a variety of sandwiches including bacon, sausage and mash, cups of tea and bottles of lemonade. All the food was freshly prepared and very tasty. The lovely lady who ran the place was very friendly and even helped answer a few questions we had about where the route ran for The Railway Children walks, the film's famous Oakworth Station being nearby, one of the stops on the steam railway. The bill was very reasonable, the toilets were clean and well kept and we would urge anyone looking for a break to come here for some simple quality eats and drinks. Lovely little atmospheric place.

So we walked in it’s hard to find a proper vegan breakfast in the USA, it was tasty. I order the cottage pie scrumptious and in walks the delivery man with hot meat pies from the oven. Well I took 2 home to eat later, the lovely owner packed them up with care, I wish I had some now. The decor is train- centric cute and quirky. D. Gomez

We (the wife, grandparents and 5 year old son) had been enjoying the steam railway and disembarked at Haworth. In desperate need of a cup of tea (well Grandad was) we walked out of the station and saw this place bang opposite! And what a find! We ordered bacon sandwiches, tea and coffee which was all ridiculously good value! The food was freshly prepared using local produce and it showed! Delicious! Granny commented that it was the best bacon butty she’d ever had, which considering she only ever cooked her own was some praise indeed. Worth a visit for a well prepared snack (although they also do Sunday roasts which I assume will be equally good), served by a friendly couple! Cheers.

I came with friends for a trip on the heritage railway from Haworth and this tiny café is located just across the road from the station entrance. We had tea and a cake and the quality and portion of tea was excellent - you get a very large pot for 1 person. We shared a huge Eccles cake for just £1 so prices here are very reasonable indeed. The owner is very friendly and chatty and the café has been very thoughtfully decorated. There is not a toilet as far as I could see but there is one in the station if you are travelling by train.

Bought the bacon and Greek sausage at Otley market after sampling on the stall. These are amazing products. I have been trying to find nitrate free sausages for some time. All the research tells us that nitrates are harmful and I keep expecting them to be banned. Until this happens the onus is on the consumer to search them out!

Good food in a relaxed atmosphere above a local pub. He menu changes every month to a new “country”. So far I’ve tried Greek, Mexican and German. They were al excellent. Choice of three starters, three mains and three desserts. The food and the wine list are limited because the place is run by one, very talented, chef. The wines have all been delicious and each month they do a themed cocktail of the month. My wife assured me that these have been great as well. He restaurant opens Thursday to Sunday and I generally book via Facebook (you can phone as well)The food and wine are incredibly good value (£20 for three courses, £12-14 ish for the wine).Well worth seeking out
