We struggled to find a table at other cafes, so settled on lunch here, unsure as to what to expect. Lovely baked potatoes and good value. The cafe is well staffed and the surroundings are pleasant. We would certainly return in the future.

I note the generous reviews with interest, but when I called at 3.25 pm I read that the closing time was 4pm. I went to the counter and tried to order, but the couple of ladies who were cashing up told me that they'd closed. Whilst I appreciate that the staff are volunteers, surely it's unacceptable that they turn away customers 35 minutes before closing time.

Was so pleasantly surprised by this cafe. Has a really nice relaxed, calm atmosphere. The food is simple coffee-shop or tea-room fare, but done very well indeed. Good portions, tasty, and amazingly well priced. It's really worth a visit for lunch.

This is a fantastic resource for the over-50s in Ilkley: there's a good café, plenty of meeting rooms and lots of activities for which you can book. The one thing it seems to lack is a Reception/Welcome Desk (or, at least, I couldn't find it when I last visited). It's right in the centre of Ilkley so it's well worth popping in and finding out what's on.

Visited Ilkley to see Mary Queen of Scots, our first visit to this lovely cinema. We decided to have a brew and bite at a local cafe before heading back to our home over the border. Favouring independent businesses, we had called at Tiplings on the Grove at 3.15, yes 3.15, only to be told "we have stopped serving". (We have been there in past years). Decided to call at Weterspoons for a coffee and something light. However, seeing this place we decided to try it. A good decision. Everything spotless, no uncleared tables, comfortable distance between them, comfortable chairs,, attractive artworks around the walls, cheerful and pleasant staff. We had two generous pots of tea and were told if we wanted a top up of milk or hot water, just ask. My wife had a nice cake and I had cheese and biscuits. Prices were quite moderate. The menu wasn't particularly extensive, but there was something to suit most tastes and it all looked good. Sadly only open Saturdays.

We attended a monthly Antiques Fair here on a Sunday, 50p entrance, 20-30 stands with a wide range of items for sale. Friendly staff and a lovely cafe with reasonable prices.

When we visit our Grandma and Grandad we always have lunch here because everybody is very kind, especially Marcella and Shadi. They look after us very well and we love the baked potatoes with lots of butter and cheese. Thank you everybody. Irene, Sarah and Ben

A basic cafe, offering a limited range of basic food, but at a sensible and realistic price, and also supporting this local amenity.

There are a number of coffee places and cafés in Ilkley. Clarke Foley is not just a café but a community centre primarily for the over 50s. There’s always something on in terms of classes and activities but the café always has plenty of space. It’s a modern establishment in sight of the main car park of The Moors Shopping Centre. The drinks are not generated by the typical Italian espresso machine so if you are looking for a Costa or Nero you might be disappointed. But, there’s always a selection of cakes and snacks that the aforementioned cafés can’t live with! The price is very competitive as well. On this visit I did ask about the over 50s rule and it was confirmed by someone on reception that the establishment of Clarke Foley was primarily for ‘seniors’.So, it’s a relief from the screams of kids in other places!

This is a lovely cafe and is not just for over 50's, there were babies and children there when I visited. Food is lovely and fresh, I really loved their home made bake well tart and scones. It is run mainly by volunteers who are so friendly and helpful. We even had suggestions for things to do in Ilkley. Would highly recommend it.

Homely, cheap, limited menu but very nicely done. Just what you need for a simple lunch on the hoof when you're in town. Friendly and caring staff, and always the same - really nice.

The Centre is a Community Hall with tables, chairs and adjacent rooms for activities such as flower arranging, language classes, keep fit sessions, etc. It has a tea/coffee/snacks area and is good value for a casual visit.

I have known about the centre for some time due to visiting with my elderly Mother. Although I was under 50 at the time ( advertises itself for the over 50's) I never thought I would use!! I am no longer under 50 and was visiting Ilkley recently and had time on my hands for a coffee. I hate the fact that nearly every cafe serve coffee in " soup bowl" size and very strong, so when I got to the counter in the Clarke Foley centre and asked for a small white milky coffee, that is exactly what I received!! Thank you.

Salad sandwich & portion of chips - good value, made sure chips were thoroughly cooked. Noticed they tend to deep fry alot of their food but otherwise 👌

What a great restaurant. As a family group of 7 we called in late Sunday afternoon returning from the Dales. We all had different Sunday lunch options and there were no complaints. Go and enjoy.
