Brilliant pint of Guinness, it's a pint like this that reminds you how it can taste! I wouldn't say I'm an expert, but it will take you back to Dublin. I will hop on the train again to enjoy a few pints in the sun on the front patio and watch the world go by!

Good pub, just by the train station to watch sport on their screens. Pleasant atmosphere, no trouble, just right.

Very nice welcoming pub, right next to Shoreham Station. Enjoyed a couple of bottles of dry rose wine. Lovely and cold and served in a sleeve to keep it that way. Staff were very friendly.

Until this evening I had no idea how warm and welcoming this pub is. Very comfortable seating with banquet seating, high tables, sofas and bar stools. Perfect location and at least 3 screens for Sports. Cocktail pitchers and shots at special prices, clean loos and very cosy but with quite modern decor. Great place to start or end a pub crawl, catch up with friends or to have a coffee or hot chocolate. I have no idea if food is served.

A traditional "boozer". It was pleasingly packed on a Friday evening, with lots of groups of different ages. Friendly atmosphere and was served quickly. I had a Harvey's old ale which was lovely and served in a proper Harvey's glass. Not cheap but not too pricey either. Staff were lovely. It has the feel of a timeless place. Made me strangley nostalgic.

Have visited this pub several times when in shoreham. Always made to feel welcome by staff and regular customers 😀. Plenty of friendly banter. Live football shown, which is a plus for myself and my partner. A round for 4 people was just over £20 which is fantastic. Living in Hove, this is a dramatic difference in the price of a round. Good stock of regular lagers, bitters and wine for those who don't always want something with the word 'Craft' in front. Definitely worth a visit.

Very nice, good real ales and selection of other drinks. Comfortable seating, bright ambience. Nice garden at the back, shame about the smokers. Also plenty of seating at the front outside. Really nice, comfortable pub. No food, however, you can bring food in.

Only one of the few real pubs around these days. Keith is the most hospitable people you could ever meet. A great selection of real ales and lagers, all at reasonable prices.

Walked a way to drink and eat, as I had a few times pre-pandemic, only to find no food which previously we had enjoyed so did not stay. Because of the refurbishment apparently - but the listing here needs to be updated.

Beer was quite definitely on the turn, drinkable but only just. Seems like a nice enough place, probably should have complained about the beer. Edit: not the end of the barrel unfortunately but yes, I should have said something at the time.

Just outside Shoreham by Sea station. Great place to go if you miss your train and end up waiting for 20 mins. Has a card machine so no cash required. Has a great selection of beers from Amstal to some IPAs. Their selection of alcohol free beers is pretty low. However, props are due because they do have Heineken 0 on draft. There is a beer garden out back with sheltered areas, and seating in the front of the pub.

This is one "Super Pub" with a "Super Landlord", lovely relaxed atmosphere with great selection of Real Ales, everything was brilliant, would definitely recommend. 5*

One of the best station pubs you will find. A good selection of drinks served by friendly staff in very pleasant surroundings, with Sky Sports on mirrored TVs. Only negative for some may be that no food is served.

Refurbished since my last visit. Bright & airy. Poor cask ale selection. Friendly staff & plenty of other drinks available.

Good choice of seating options, sheltered back garden, even allowed a take-away delivery and provided plate and cutlery! Background music was also good, had a good selection of drinks and some reasonable deals as well as helpful and attentive staff. Overall a great experience and would certainly recommend. In fact, after writing this I've increased my rating from 4 to 5 stars ... I very rarely give a 5 star rating so well done!

Great pub, fantastic staff, loads of outside seating with TVs for the footie, spacious inside, good selection of beer and lagers, the pub does not do food anymore but you can get a takeaway to eat on the premises, all in all a great place.

Went to the Buckingham today with the idea of me and a group of my friends to watch the racing , firstly the smell of beeswax polish made me feel ill and you could almost taste it . Secondly the barmaid with the purple hair was so rude and patronising, I saw three people walk out and go to the Crabtree because she was asked to turn the racing up and she looked at us like we were a bit of pooh on your shoe ... not very welcoming won’t be back and by the lack of customers I’m not alone . Lovely atmosphere, bar staff very friendly

It was a good looking pub anyway, quirky signs and quotes. Recent refurbishment has transformed the inside space, opening up for greater capacity, making it more attractive and female friendly. Large mirrors disguise the modern technology of TV screens, with the Christmas decorations and old fashioned bows adorning the tree, a treat not to be missed!

Great atmosphere and they play bingo there on a Monday night I discovered!!

The Buckingham has always been a good drinking pub when you finish work on a Friday and nothing has changed since the modernisation. The atmosphere is still buzzing and the beer still as good even if the building has been prettified. Still will use this place when I can as it still is a proper pub.

I think I preferred it before the refurb. It's lighter and more spacious but the beer selection doesn't seem as good.

Decent pub and good renovation, but unfortunately has the feel of a social club. Drink prices reasonable and friendly bar staff.

Lovely place to eat and drink very nice inside.

Nice decor. Like the TVs on the wall which when switched off turn into mirrors. The bar seating is tasteful & comfortable in fact it’s very user friendly. But my only negative which I hope can be addressed, is please learn how to make a liquor coffee. I requested a Tia Maria coffee & received a black coffee in a cup laced with a dash of Tia Maria, not quite what I had in mind. Please don’t be put of by my issue, it’s always nice to see an establishment such as this one adapt & make a change. I look forward to popping in again for a much deserved drink in the future.

Me and my friend have been there last week, not very pleased with the food what they serve, service was quite poor, but the bar staff friendly. I don't think we will be back though...

Nice venue to visit if looking to just drink.. Thought food used to be served here.. Went with my father as he recommended it and hadn't visited for months but said now they stopped serving food it will slowly die out.. When asked if they serve food was told truffles down the road you can buy food from and bring it back and consume on premises.. Didn't want to visit a pub to go get a cake.. Same as I wouldn't visit Greggs and ask for a pint... So will sadly not be visiting anymore.. If seeking food try the crown and anchor on the seafront as I went there after here and food was lovely..

At some point in between June and November 2018 this venue changed hands and was redecorated. It used to be a pub, but now it's a bar. (To qualify as a "pub", it would have to have at least two of the following: pool table, quiz-games-machine, jukebox. It used to have the first two, now it has none). This change was undertaken without any consultation with the local public - inspite of the fact that a pub/bar is a service like any other. the only "legal" way to take the power back from "business managers" in a situation like this is to disinvest aka boycott, as I have.

It has a good atmosphere early on, however it doesn't seem to retain customers later in the evening. Its recent refurb is great, just a shame they didn't follow it throughout to the toilets, they are just the same. Staff are generally friendly but there's a couple who could do with a bit of customer service training. It's very much a locals place and sometimes they can be a little territorial.

Moved to Southwick and my partner & I have started using Shoreham some weekends. We sat outside here, for a drink in the summer, before going for a meal. Went in again this Saturday and the pub has had a complete refurb. Looks really nice and the atmosphere was amazing. The ladies toilet's were very clean.The staff are exceptionally lovely, especially Tim who has worked there for many years. We had a couple of bar seats and we noticed how all the staff are very chatty and all knew what they're doing. Remember what drink you last had, which is the sign of good bar staff. There seemed to be a lot of regulars which was nice to see. We will most definitely be using this pub again. Also noticed online photo's, there is also a garden out back, which will be great during the summer. I gather, they don't do food, which doesn't bother us.
