Didn't eat...good choice of beers

A quiet little pub on the outskirts of town. Nice for a quiet drink 🍻

Great choice of real ales and very reasonably priced food.

We didn’t eat at the Brunswick apart from a packet of crisps but fell in love with the place. Amazing choice of beers. Lots of seating inside. We sat outside in the garden. Very close to the railway station. We saw the beer festival advert for this years beer festival. Sadly we are busy but have put it in our diary for 2025!!

What a great place for a few beers before a curry. Great atmosphere with the locals trying to finish a cryptic crossword. The barlord and locals recommend the Viceroy for a curry. It did not disappoint!

I'd not been to this place in over 20 years but popped in last week - it's not changed at all and is just a good. A 'proper' pub; decent beer, a warm welcome and at a good price too.

What a fantastic real ale pub with a great selection of beers, with a variety brewed on site, and all at a very reasonable price particularly if you’ve got a CAMRA membership. Tried several beers all of which were very tasty and exceptionally well kept. The pub has a traditional feel with several different rooms, and railway associated memorabilia. Staff were very welcoming and helpful with recommendations. Food is available although I only managed the delicious Cheese and Onion Cob. Well worth a visit and handy for both the railway and bus stations.

A good venue at Derby for beer fans: the Brunswick Inn is a microbrewery and has a great and diverse choice of beers, with some of their own. The staff is very nice!

It's ok. Nothing has changed. The owner drinks everyday at the bar.

Great little ale House with well-kept beers & a homesome food menu. Clientele is a bit of the fleece wearing beard sporting type but don't let this put you off

A 5 minute walk to/from the train station. I had a cold cider. Love the ye olde decor.

Wednesday 8th March 2023 This great pub in Derby brews its own real ale on the premises and its a great interios of years gone by to drink the delicious home brewed and many more real ales on offer here place is so very easy going knowledgeable customers and friendly staff add to this pubs reasons for coming here to drink great real ales Derby has so many great places to drink real ales in, so remember this pub has been a Tuesday 9th December 2024 Today, i again visited this derby brew pub, which is as always when in Derby, an essential visit for all real ale drinker Couple of minutes from the station is an essential visit for drinkers of real ales No pub has such a tremendous range of real ales the landlord is a proper conisseur of beer the pub has a proper feeling to it and yhe brewey is in the building keep up the good work

Only stopped off for one drink after maybe 25+ years bud it was nice to get out of the cold in what seems like a real pub I would recommend a visit.

Stopped off to pass the time with a pint & some games of chess on my phone while I waited for my train. Staff was lovely, pints and atmosphere were spot on. Very much enjoyed the brief visit.

Very good traditional pub, excellent range of alcoholic products across the range especially real ales. The menu range is wide ranging and well served. A very good public house all round.

Excellent beer and food. Recommend Brunswick Rocket with Chilli, Chips and Rice. Staff are very friendly and very accommodating for Cyclists.

Great historic pub. Lessons to be learnt as this place was almost (unbelievably) lost. A great welcome to historic derby!

Staff are friendly. Didn't eat here but this is your standard old school pub. Nothing fancy just a good old fashioned pub to have a pint and chill.

Excellent beer, excellent place.

Famous historical pub very popular for the terrific range of real ales both guest and brewed on premises. Has occasional beer festivals (though every day is a beer festival with 15 hand pulls!) Home cooked food available some lunchtimes and evenings, but check beforehand for availability. We'll worth a visit and popular with locals and regulars alike. As always great selection of real ales. Cannot comment on food. Always worth a visit when in Derby. Sadly road works in October 2023 making it more difficult to access the pub, but hopefully cleared soon!

Bexley's own beer ON TAP for those of us who are coeliac or gluten-free looking for a decent beer 🙂 well done The Brunswick. Also nice grub!

Great real ale pub with some atmospheric rooms.

A fantastic old pub (and brewery) with a great selection of real ales at a reasonable price. Food service stops at 7pm but is always tasty. The staff are always very friendly. Get there for one of their beer festivals if you can.

Varied choice of drinks, friendly service and good atmosphere. Haven't had any food but it looks and smells yummy!

Short walk from Derby railway station. Superb range of well kept beers. Regular beer festivals. Brewery tap for Brunswick. Always porters or stouts on. Guest beers from breweries far and wide. 16 pumps in action on this vist. If you are in Derby and you like beer and a friendly pub this is the place.

Due to work and other mitigating factors it's been a long long time since I had a pint in the Brunswick Inn. Managed a pint or two of their own Triple Hop ale, which was absolutely bang on! Alas I hope my next visit won't take as long.

In the pub line this is an absolute gem. Spent a pleasant hour there while waiting for a train. I'd encourage anyone who likes a beer or cider to visit.

Great beers.Ideal for a drink before or after a rail journey via Derby Station.

We ate here whilst the car was fixed at Beechwood Suzuki. Good real ale at £3.40 a pint. We ordered the scampi . It came serve in small bowls scampi in a oval dish,chips,salad, tartare sauce in another. A lovely meal eaten outside in the garden on a sunny day. I recommend this place.

Very authentic local place with interesting atmosphere. The beer was nice, eventhough the bartender did not know whats on tap, she let us taste it ;) The burger was fairly good, however I really missed some vegetables, sauce, or pickles from it.

Large choice of ales, some better than others. Cask not Craft, no bad thing. Great food. Gammon, Eggs and chips. Lovely building. Good history on the walls.

Excellent pub. The brilliantly atmospheric Brunswick Inn is one of Derby's iconic pubs. Architecturally stunning with an internal atmosphere that manages to meet expectations. They brew their own beers here and I highly recommend sampling them all. Easily one of the best pubs in Derby.

A rare oasis these days for lovers of real ale with up to 16 to chose from. Great surroundings to drink in too and the food is good.

Easily one of Derbys best pubs, a great choice of real ales, some of which are made on site. A range of different rooms in which to relax, dark wood panelling throughout, the building itself is Victorian and full of character, there's a warm welcome plus it's a stones throw from the railway station so ideal for a beverage before or after your travels. Decent choice of beers in ok prices, good access to rail and bus so location is brilliant but food service could be a bit upgraded, sometimes it takes almost an hour to receive ordered food.

Superb CAMRA Pub in Derby. Only about 5' minutes walk from the main railway station. A real ale heaven. On our visit there were 8 available on tap; all described on blackboards above the bar. Pub has a fantastic railway theme with lots of memorabilia. An open bar area, but also some small rooms with snugs. Attached is a small microbrewery which be seen working from inside The Brunswick. Superb pub 🍺🍺🍺🍺
