Pleasant enough, close to the station, very handy

Cute pub near Piccadilly, no airs or graces just a pukka Manchester pub with reasonable: beer, food, cocktails & spirits. Far better than the nearby Spoons ugh...

Came mid afternoon on a Saturday. Venue was busy but service was nice and quick. Food menu looked reasonably priced. Downside was the price of drinks.

Quick visit for brunch, excellent options and fast service - quiet so can’t comment on what atmosphere might be like during a busier time

We were coming out of Manchester train station and stopped by for lunch. The special with a drink was great value. The pub was busy but not packed. The Christmas Toasties are recommended and they had good very choices. Worth stopping by!

I have never been inside the pub it seems really busy been past there when getting my bus seems like really lively especially on the weekends

Very surprised with the food. Tasty and generous portions. If you need to catch up the train it's a great place to have supper before leaving

Near to piccadilly train station, had a drink, clean pub, seating outside as well.

Came on the weekend for a short stay in Manchester and mistakenly stepped in here. 45 minutes for food, the place was empty fyi. I was refused to be served a burger because breakfast is until 1pm, yet my food arrived at 1.20pm. Everyone else was allowed to order a burger. Food was ish, good only because we were starving.

Arrived in Manchester at 9.50 we weren't sure where to go had a wander for 5 mins and came across this pub. Opened at 10am lovely staff, great pub.

Nice pub a short walk from Piccadilly station. Was a nice stop for a quick drink on the way for a train. Not quite so rowdy as some of the city centre pubs and with a reasonable selection of beverages available. As well as some very comfortable wing back chairs (if they are free)

Great aperol spritz and delicious food. We didn’t expect much but the small plates were all lovely and great portion sizes. The service isn’t great but it is more of a pub than restaurant, so we didn’t mind.

Good food reasonably priced drinks average for city centre. Met up with friends and it was a good choice of venue. Sat outside in the sun

Great pub, Great service. Only thing that puts me off is sitting outside and the beggars come and mither you. And before I get grief for that I give to the folks on the street but don't want mithering when having a pint after my working day

Visited on a quiet Sunday morning for breakfast. After an hour's wait (and despite chasing) our food just didn't arrive and no indication of how much longer it would be. Food was across two separate orders, and the neighbouring table only received part of their order after an hour and only after chasing too. We eventually asked for a refund and went elsewhere. The manager - who took our original order - wouldn't get involved and sent junior staff to apologise, despite them being visibly upset. Obviously mistakes happen - but to lose at least 3 separate food orders, still fail to serve them after chasing, and to upset your staff then send them to deal with customers instead of the manager taking responsibility is terrible. Wouldn't recommend and won't be going back.

I can't rate the food because after waiting an hour our food still hadn't arrived despite the place being half empty. We got a refund and the manager did not even make the effort to come over or apologise! Meanwhile the poor girl that processed our refund was visibility shaken up and apologising profusely and saying she had just been shouted at by the kitchen and the manager! Absolutely no way to run a pub or treat your staff!

Really nice bar right in the heart of Manchester. Only had snacks, but they were lovely. Battered chicken with a spicy dip. Good selection of beers. I had blue moon with a slice of orange. Was the best drink I had all day. They also sell nice coffee. Bar staff are very friendly. Well worth a visit if you are in town for a show.

Great place to relax and have a bite to eat. Pure chance we didn't know the establishment at all. We highly recommend. For Frenchies who are not used to it, here we order dishes at the bar 😉. We enjoyed it, Thanks!

After missing my train I needed to fill 2 hours and I was lucky enough to find this place x Annie the barmaid was lovely, even helping my carry my drink so I didn't have to struggle with my bags. Thank you for amazing service and turning my bad day in to a good one

Absolutely fabulous. The chef is an absolute professional who made alterations to my sons meal to make it dairy free. The meals were superb and delectable. A little bit noisy but overall a great experience.

Despite being "the pub that everyone passes by", The Brunswick is somewhat of a gem of a pub tucked away amongst the hustle and hustle of Central Manchester. Bar staff were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating and served a cracking pint of Guinness.

The food and service was excellent. My order was served incorrect to start with and they offered a free drink for the inconvenience. Took nothing away from the experience.

This is a lovely pub. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the service is quick and efficient. It's got a nice friendly atmosphere as well. The Guinness is very good indeed. I'll definitely pop back in here again in the future.

Good music, lovely staff, beautiful cocktails and affordable food. Been coming for the last few weeks recently and have had nothing but brilliant experiences. All the staff including the manager always made me feel welcome. Highly recommended.

So good!! We had a few small plates, Roasted Heirloom tomato bruschetta and chicken tenders along with the chicken burger and a side of onion rings...let me first say the place, atmosphere, music choice and staff are absolutely perfect. Then, the food was delicious. The chicken was so tender with a great crunch. The onion rings were perfectly seasoned and flavored. Would Def recommend The Brunswick to anyone coming to the area! Five out of five, hands down!!

Had a great pub lunch here today. We had a chicken and a beef burger - both excellent. Don’t over order on sides - portions are huge. We ordered 2 side of chips - one would have been too much.

Dropped in here as a first watering hole from MCR Piccadilly and (a) loved the food and (b) found the drink prices eye watering. But then the MCR of my youth is long gone - but the pie and chips remains top! Had the pukka steak pie, handcut chips, peas and gravy. The gravy was homemade and outstanding - as were the chips!

The food was delicious and hot, the service was fast and the staff were friendly.

50% off food on Mondays - extremely good value! We had two starters, two mains and some sides for £26. Food portions was very good and the quality and tastiness of everything we had was 10/10. Easily one of the best places I’ve eaten in a long time.

It's a pub, so not glamorous, the staff are great and the food was prepared to order and served hot. Lovely food, it was quiet, which was very relaxing. Would go back in a flash.

Needed a quick dinner, popped in here as next to where we were staying. Confusion over what time the kitchen closed, confusion over the cocktail deal. Food was ok. Friendly enough staff, just felt a bit unorganised.

Nice staff and enjoyed a good sandwich. Was there for just a short time whilst waiting for a flight later on in the day but they were accommodating and made sure that you got everything you needed. Atmosphere was a calm - pretty chill.

First time back in Manchester in a long time for a works reunion found this gem we all had a great night thanks guys .

Wanted to have a coffee and something to eat - small late brunch or just a bite before heading home - a bar tender proposed a nice starter - bait fish in breadcrumbs with tartare sauce. I asked for extra salad and was amazed - it was really great food and at a great price, too. And coffee - real brown sugar cubes to add extra flavour - you don't get it often. And music and candles at the table - lovely atmosphere. I enjoyed my treat and recommend. Hope to visit soon again :)

Called for a breakfast around 11 am and was ok til a couple came into pub under the influence of various substances I guess but ended up having ablazing row and smashing a glass - welcome to city centre pubs !!

Great place for a beer and a bite to eat before you go to a gig in the city. It has a relaxed vibe and the staff are attentive and relaxed at the same time. I love to spend some time here.

This is a great pub with good food and really friendly efficient staff. We popped in for lunch this week as it wasn’t far from our hotel. We were served quickly and the food was really tasty. They have a good food menu with a great selection of cocktails and other drinks, and lots of special offers available at different times.

A great pub, excellent decor and very friendly staff plus excellent beers and food. superb taste in music as well. Recommended.
