The Brunswick in Manchester

The food and service was excellent. My order was served incorrect to start with and they offered a free drink for the inconvenience. Took nothing away from the experience.

This is a lovely pub. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the service is quick and efficient. It's got a nice friendly atmosphere as well. The Guinness is very good indeed. I'll definitely pop back in here again in the future.

Good music, lovely staff, beautiful cocktails and affordable food. Been coming for the last few weeks recently and have had nothing but brilliant experiences. All the staff including the manager always made me feel welcome. Highly recommended.

So good!! We had a few small plates, Roasted Heirloom tomato bruschetta and chicken tenders along with the chicken burger and a side of onion rings...let me first say the place, atmosphere, music choice and staff are absolutely perfect. Then, the food was delicious. The chicken was so tender with a great crunch. The onion rings were perfectly seasoned and flavored. Would Def recommend The Brunswick to anyone coming to the area! Five out of five, hands down!!

Had a great pub lunch here today. We had a chicken and a beef burger - both excellent. Don’t over order on sides - portions are huge. We ordered 2 side of chips - one would have been too much.

Dropped in here as a first watering hole from MCR Piccadilly and (a) loved the food and (b) found the drink prices eye watering. But then the MCR of my youth is long gone - but the pie and chips remains top! Had the pukka steak pie, handcut chips, peas and gravy. The gravy was homemade and outstanding - as were the chips!

The food was delicious and hot, the service was fast and the staff were friendly.

50% off food on Mondays - extremely good value! We had two starters, two mains and some sides for £26. Food portions was very good and the quality and tastiness of everything we had was 10/10. Easily one of the best places I’ve eaten in a long time.

It's a pub, so not glamorous, the staff are great and the food was prepared to order and served hot. Lovely food, it was quiet, which was very relaxing. Would go back in a flash.

Needed a quick dinner, popped in here as next to where we were staying. Confusion over what time the kitchen closed, confusion over the cocktail deal. Food was ok. Friendly enough staff, just felt a bit unorganised.

Nice staff and enjoyed a good sandwich. Was there for just a short time whilst waiting for a flight later on in the day but they were accommodating and made sure that you got everything you needed. Atmosphere was a calm - pretty chill.

Wow, called into the Brunswick today, first time, AMAZING. BEST BREAKFAST EVER. Will definitely be visiting here again, each time I come Manchester. Super chilled venue with super friendly staff. See you soon guys

Wanted to have a coffee and something to eat - small late brunch or just a bite before heading home - a bar tender proposed a nice starter - bait fish in breadcrumbs with tartare sauce. I asked for extra salad and was amazed - it was really great food and at a great price, too. And coffee - real brown sugar cubes to add extra flavour - you don't get it often. And music and candles at the table - lovely atmosphere. I enjoyed my treat and recommend. Hope to visit soon again :)

Called for a breakfast around 11 am and was ok til a couple came into pub under the influence of various substances I guess but ended up having ablazing row and smashing a glass - welcome to city centre pubs !!

Great place for a beer and a bite to eat before you go to a gig in the city. It has a relaxed vibe and the staff are attentive and relaxed at the same time. I love to spend some time here.

This is a great pub with good food and really friendly efficient staff. We popped in for lunch this week as it wasn’t far from our hotel. We were served quickly and the food was really tasty. They have a good food menu with a great selection of cocktails and other drinks, and lots of special offers available at different times.

A great pub, excellent decor and very friendly staff plus excellent beers and food. superb taste in music as well. Recommended.

Lovely pub in the heart of Manchester. Only popped in for a quick drink but ended up ordering a few starters. Can't believe the portion sizes, they are massive! Food was lovely and well presented too. Staff really friendly also. Especially manager and other gent on the bar. Will be back

Day out in Manchester and by far had the best time here...French martini was better than the alchemist made by the beautiful Charel! Long Island ice tea's made by the gorgeous Lamy! And what's more 2 for £12 on cocktails! Such a vibe here, music was great, service was absolute quality! Thanks for a fantastic evening, would definitely return again! 😘

Good place to meet, a decent selection of beer and Guinness was good. Sadly the music far too loud to hold a conversation

Proper run pub, methodical, & timelessly done at Brunswick. Very busy due to football fans Man Utd v Barcelona. No customers were over waiting and staff done a great job with a smile even though rushed off their feet behind the bar & kitchen.

Visited here twice over the weekend. It's close to travelodge Picadilly and the train station. Lovely friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. I didn't have food but it looked lovely. Big shout out to the friendly door staff/ security Mo for helpful directions and advice. Will return in my next trip to Manchester.

Perfect food and drink options available here and right on the main station road, so good for tram and train station travels, can get busy during the weekends however good at some other times I'd day too. Great food options out here as well.

Exceptional service and food, I'd recommend the fourchu lobster, a must have. They also do burgers.

We came in yesterday intending on having 1 drink and going to the restaurant we'd booked. We ended up staying 3 and a half hours because the service was fantastic and the atmosphere was so friendly. Prices were amazing for a city centre pub, a round for all 5 of us came to roughly 25 quid. There was 4 staff on all great at their jobs, but the 3 females were really the stars of the show. One girl with dreads and piercings served us most of the afternoon she was such a vibe and so relatable. She said she usually works floor and isn't really used to the bar - I am a cocktail bar maid myself of 10 years and she could have fooled me because she seemed like a seasoned pro. Thank you all the staff that were on shift 10/12/2022 in afternoon you were all amazing and set our day off on the right track.

Very good pub with a good atmosphere. It was very busy tho due to the Christmas Markets being on.

We stopped here by chance to watch the football and were really pleasantly surprised by the excellent service, friendly staff and amazing food! The chunky chips were proper home made chips and absolutely delicious, huge portions big enough for 2. Halloumi fries were gorgeous and the food in general was an excellent standard. We will definitely come back again. ☺️

Had two WCS (dogs) destined for a long wait due to car work in Manchester. Thumbs down to Weatherspoons who threw us out, seriously. A great chap jumped up and suggested we try the pub just pasted the traffic lights. "They'll let you sit outside", well ... they could not have been more fantastic. It was freezing outside, in we went, sat in a lovely area, had coffee', food and outstanding service. A huge thank you to The Brunswick. Turned a devo day into a winner.

Went in while travelling alone. Ordered steak pie with no peas & a drink. Came to table & said no steak pie, ordered fish & chops instead. Fish came sitting on top of tartar sauce, I hate tartar sauce,the chips came sitting in mushy peas, why give me peas when I asked for no peas with steak pie, couldnt eat it. No one came and asked how things were. Left still hunger.

We went in on a very busy Saturday morning for breakfast. Service was brilliant. It was really clean and there was a fantastic atmosphere.

Breakfast could be better. Poached egg on toast - very dry poached egg cooked in microwave, like rubber and tasted of vinegar. Vegan breakfast came with real (cow's milk) butter.

Short stop off from the train. Lovely staff and great pint. Next time I'm at Piccadilly station I'll be going back

Today I have had the steak with fried eggs. 8oz cooked to taste with 2 good runny fried eggs and a very tasty tomato compot. This is very tasty and if you missed fried eggs.....with steak OMG. Go for it. Served 10am to 1pm

I visited here twice last week, one of the visits with 6 friends for an afternoon drink and bite to eat, we ordered several small plates each and with the size of our group was warned there maybe a little wait, but to my surprise all the food arrived together, piping hot and looked and tasted delicious, I was particularly fond of the mushroom arancini, and halloumi fries. My second visit was early evening with my partner, who is really fussy when eating out, I ordered the buttermilk chicken burger and he had the armageddon burger which is huge, both amazing and will definitely be returning, also the service received was above expectations for a city centre bar, my server was the manager apparently, and he was polite and cheerful enough, nice place nice people, must try!

Great location between rail and bus stations. Good selection of spirits and draught. Always a friendly welcome from knowledgeable staff. Chill for a quick drink while traveling from A to B, or better still make a night of it! Hotels nearby.

Visited for the 1st time for a while enjoyed my night but I must confess I really don't like getting drinks in plastic tumblers not sure why this is but I would probably go elsewhere purely because of this, which is unfortunate.
