The Brunswick in Leeds

Excellent food (including the veggie/ vegan options. Large selection of drinks and very reasonable prices. The service was fantastic and the place was quite busy during our visit. My only gripe was it was quite cold when we first arrived. Don't worry though the food will certainly warm you up! Recommended and we will definitely be visiting again.

We came to have a sunday roast. We didn’t fully enjoy it. First, We found potatoes were quite dry and the gravy was watery. Probably people would enjoy the mint flavour of it, not our case. Small portions for the price of it. We have had bigger Sunday roasts in the city centre for the same price. Not in terms of amount of meat, but the variety of vegetables and portions of it, and the overall quality. Service was good, though.

Lovely neighbourhood pub - came for the Sunday BBQ and loved all of it - food was absolutely delicious and was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome as it was my partners birthday ❤️ had to come back the next day to enjoy a few more of the excellent drink selection in the sun. Big thanks to the staff and would highly recommend !

The staff must be treated poorly to be this miserable, disinterred in the job and the customers. A real shame as it has the potential to be a nice place but it seems only misery exists there, a soul destroying and spirit crushing experience.

Visited for Sunday lunch, porchetta was amazing, as were the truffle mash and cheesy leeks. Doesn't look much from the outside but it's well worth a visit.

Incredible roast dinner. The portions are so generous and the food is absolutely delicious. Drinks are served immaculately, the perfect Guiness, tasty cocktails and great red wine. Service is top notch, Alfie was brilliant! - Can’t recommend it enough.

I absolutely love this place. Such a brilliant atmosphere and cozy escape from the hustle and bustle of Leeds city centre. Came here with friends for Sunday roast and we all had a sensational time. The staff were lovely and joyful and really made our experience great.

What a great boozer. Such a refreshing change to find a cosy place with great beer AND properly great wine not just fobbed off with the usual couple of standard wine choices. Lovely friendly staff as well.

Booked in on a busy Sunday afternoon, managed to get a table at 6pm . Unfortunately they ran out of beef and pork for the roast dinners but we were happy with the juicy chicken. As we were celebrating we had both oysters and the makeral to start, all fresh and delicious. Spicy bloody Mary's to finish, blew my head off! ( ASKED FOR A 9.5 SPICE) Cool interior , relaxed and friendly staff... we will definitely be back , thanks to all x

Went for the Sunday roast, and it did not disappoint. Had the porchetta, and it was cooked to perfection. The portions are large. Also had the cheesy leeks, which were tasty. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed and just what you want for a Sunday.

The Brunswick is a modern quirky little neighbourhood pub to the north of Leeds City Centre. It has a cool and friendly atmosphere with a decent selection of cask and keg on offer. It's very dog friendly and is highly rated for food as well, especially their Sunday Roasts. I love these sort of out of town café bar style pubs and their relaxed vibe, the Brunswick is a great example. It's a pretty tight fit downstairs but there's some more room on the first floor and although the beer garden is just a few outside tables in better weather you can apparently take your drinks over to the park too.

What a fantastic night we had at The Brunswick. I was visiting from Australia , here to see family and friends and have a New Year’s night out. Had a ball! Cocktails were amazing , service was amazing. We’d had a fair bit to drink and we found a little corner to dance and celebrate being together after a long time apart. Thank you for allowing us to have a great night . Love this place. Often go there when visiting my sister , it’s always great. We’ll be back.

Better vibes than belgrave, coffee so good we started shouting poetry and the staff (even the secret florists upstairs) always give 120%, if you asked for a high five I reckon they'd give you a high six. We will be coming again.

We had the Sunday roast and it was delicious. Services was very accommodating to us bringing our two young children. Make sure you book or you probably won’t get a table. Portions were good for a roast and the gravy was so yum. We also had a cocktail which was really nice. The Brunswick has such a good atmosphere for a rainy Sunday afternoon. We loved it.

Really cosy pub, set over two floors. Only had the Brunswick Chips are they were lovely, went back for more too.

Really cool new local bar. The beer's great, the food is awesome (especially the pie and the chips)...great chilled out tunes with live DJs playing jazz and funk and anything else really. Friendly staff and friendly punters.

Why’s it 9 quid for a kirkstall Kriek beer when it’s brewed up the road hahaa

Hands down, the best pub in Leeds. Excellent and broad selection of beers and wines, fantastic atmosphere whenever I visit, and wonderfully friendly and knowledgable staff. This is the kind of place I hope I can keep visiting for decades to come.

Had a nice Sunday roast, lovely and helpful staff. Sadly, this has been overshadowed by being charged £30 for a no-show fee, which was clearly not the case. Now we're having to jump through hoops to be refunded for their mistake.

The pub dogs win employee of the month AGAIN! That's how sweet and funny the staff are at this utterly fantastic little bar. Visited on Saturday 25/03/23 on basis of the reviews here and one previous visit in November 2021. My mate and I tried the burgers and they were excellent. Relaxed atmosphere and good value food and drink. Highly recommended.

Visited for the first time for a Sunday lunch. The service was really great, I loved the decor, and it was dog friendly - always a plus. The food was okay, but I think the the massive Yorkshire felt more like a gimmick rather than for the benefit of the dish - it took up the whole plate, covering the rest of the food! Also, the veggie/vegan meat option was pretty poor - seitan shouldn't be gelatinous but it was :( (You can't go wrong with a nice nut roast sometimes)

Been here a couple of times for Sunday Dinner, which are bloomin excellent. The pork is the best I've had in Leeds. The burgers are also good. Nice variety of ales and ciders. Oh, and it's dog friendly. A real all rounder of a boozer

Sound little pub, gets a bit fresh outside being off the main road but pretty cozy inside. Staff seem friendly and have a bit of banter about them.

They love dogs here! Gave water and biscuits. Great selection of beers...circa £5 ish a pint. Didn't have food but it looked epic.

Amazing Sunday lunch, we all had vegetarian option. Very good. Meat lunch looked amazing. Sides of cheesy leaks highly recommended. Very good selection of low alcohol beer for us drivers.

A lovely place that does amazing food and drinks. It's a nice distance from the city centre so it's not always over-packed. I love coming here once a week or fortnight to have a quiet catch-up with my friend. Unfortunately I don't think they serve food on Monday's

Fantastic bar with a good range of beers, plus coffee, food and art. Friendly service and close to the city centre. Amazing smash burgers. The B.O.B burger is one of the best I've eaten. Will be back again soon.

I always like coming here - often it's by myself on the way home. It's a totally chilled, no hassle place with a good selection of beers and some good food too.

Absolutely wonderful pup/restaurant. I’m a IPA drinker with many choices on offer to suit everyone. The staff are all very friendly and great with any support required. It was Sunday and opted for the Chicken Sunday Roast, served with full size Yorkshire Pudding, roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables 10 out of 10 taste and service. A roast with a IPA beer for less that £25.00 that’s a great treat on Sunday. Check out there menu for full details for other wonderful food on offer. A great find on the out skirts of Leeds on North street a must place to visit if in this area of Leeds.

A lovely, really friendly pub, "Hello Alfie" 😁. We met 'Liam' out of Emmerdale, the wife was made up and is in love again. What a lovely fella, down to earth and friendly. We had a terrible meal in our hotel (Hampton by Hilton) before we went. (see Google report) We then saw the meals coming out of the Brunswick kitchen, they looked great. We should have eaten here instead. We come to Leeds a lot and the city pubs are full of poncy young people. This is our new Leeds 'hidi-hole".

Sunday roast The safest choice 👌🏼

THE BEST BURGER I have ever tasted!! Most Pubs ‘in my opinion’ try to sanitise the burger and make it healthy and by default tasteless, dry and tough. Burgers should be succulent and dirty ‘in a good way’. The Brunswick team totally get this so for the first time in years I finished the burger and wanted another one. That’s how good it was. It is a brilliant little pub and I would highly recommend it. I will be back for more burgers. Thanks guys for restoring my faith in pub burgers, I am a tough one to please 😋

Great beer and burger deal on Wednesdays or go on Sunday for their roast. Great variety of beers, welcoming staff. They are also very dog friendly!

They have 100% the best burgers in Leeds and also I am pretty sure the friendliest staff.

Absolutely class Sunday Roast! The food was delicious! We ate at 5, sometimes at this time the quality and quantity of a roast can slip with it being towards the end of service, not here. Everyone’s dish was great! Drinks were fab! Great selection of cask ale and keg beer. Wines was solid and the negroni was something else! Loved the mini Bloody Mary addition with roasts too! Service was great! All the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful! 11/10 would recommend!

Fantastic home made food, the burgers are to die for, not like all the processed rubbish at most places, the chips, oh my goodness. The staff are all so friendly and can’t do enough for you. I can’t recommend this enough.

Great pub...excellent atmosphere and service

Decided to avoid the big chain Resteraunt’s on a visit to the FD Arena staying at the Ibis hotel and found this gem great wine and beer and the best burger that i have had in many years. Well worth a visit

Quirky, small and busy early evening on a Saturday. Very small bar with seating spread over two floors. The furnishings were practical but a bit basic and there's a relaxed feel to the place. We had Paulaner to remind us of a trip to Germany and it was ok. The smoke was a bit much by the kitchen so we only stayed for one.

Loved it in here. Friendly atmosphere and a great choice of beer, wine and cocktails. Maybe worth booking a table during busy times.
